Changing this log from an Owner Attention to a note so as to avoid delisting. This cache has been here since 2009, it would be a great shame to lose it. However, the side road is now gated and the hillside is fenced. I am not sure if this is still in play, but it may now be trapped on private property and in need of rescuing by the CO.

Find # 10428We entered GZ from the gated access road, towards the North of GZ. There is no indication of the road being private property so we went for it. We parked about 8m from GZ and made a very short scramble up the embankment. We found where the cache had been as we found rock with a small portion of logsheet in the hidey hole. We replaced the cache in the hide and placed a 2kg rock on top. TFTC big-kahuna 21 January 2024 15:03
We planned a day or two in Goulburn, and sent a text to Rapidlywild to see if she could join us.
Sunday seemed to suit, so the target was - to find as many multi's as we could.
Rapidlywild came organised with pen and paper and the questions written out.
That made everything much easier, when solving.
Some gave us a few headaches, but after checking sums, we came out with the right numbers.
Most logs were signed as 'TDR' (for The Drovers & Rapidlywild), to save on time and space.
A big 'Thank You' to Rapidlywild for joining us, and making the day so much more fun.
A quick find, signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, big-kahuna, for us and others to find.

Recieved a text from The Drovers who had plans to venture around Goulburn for the day doing a spot of caching before the terrible weather hits on Monday. Yeah awesome, I have a few to collect in Goulburn so would be nice to get a few more smilies around the area.
The weather was rather brisk and the wind would rip right through our jackets/jumpers today but we kept on chasing those smilies. Our main targets today were multi caches as there seems to have been an explosion of them around the place since my last visit. We managed to do ok today, had issues with one of the multis which unfortunately resulted in a DNF, a trad which will need to be archived as the property is now a private residence and a few very wet logs which we replaced with dry log sheets.
We def took the hardest way into this one... we didnt notice the road further up and we did the hard scramble down and across the rocks to the cache... that wasn't very pleasent lol. We took the easy way back thats for sure. Most of todays logs were signed as "TDR" for The Drovers Rapidlywild to save space on the logs.
Thanks for the hides big-kahuna And thanks to The Drovers for a fun day out and about around Goulburn [^].

First time in NSW for 4 weeks! Made use of the new found freedom to top up my Wherigo find numbers (to qualify for a nearby challenge), find a multi, and attend todays event in Goulburn. With some time remaining before the event, I continued north to clean up another of the roads out of Goulburn. Cache easily found. TFTC.

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Finally made the trip around Goulburn, Taralga and Laggan. A big day on the road with lots of caches found. Thanks For The Caches!
About 150m north of the indicated GZ is a dirt access road that will take you close to GZ! Then you won’t have to do what I did and scramble over rocks and a fence to get to GZ!
Today, Sui_001 and I headed out to Goulburn to clean up the caches in the area. We spent a total of almost 9 hours caching and I enjoyed every minute of it. Sui_001 is one funny guy.
There were some highlights for the day included 10 Lab caches plus 2 bonuses, 1 multi cache, and about 19 Trads for me and about 29 Trads for Sui_001 as we did some caches that I had done before. Not sure exactly how far we drove but it was many hundreds of kilometers. I love geocaching so much and the friends I have made along the way make it all worthwhile. I really enjoyed Loci612 Adventure Lab Cache that was a tour of all the old cemetery's in Goulburn. The bonus cache was great also as it had about 15 trackables in it and as we all know, I love trackables plus it was an ammo can.
Thanks for all the caches and sorry for the generic log for this cache but with more than 40 caches today alone it gets hard to write a different one for each cache. Most caches were found in good order except for two that were missing (replaced for the owners), 1 that was broken and 2 that had very wet logbooks.
I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it.
Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.
***** I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges Geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of today, my average was less than 160 words per log, which seems close to the 200-word target. However, given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 200 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After 7500 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 160 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before this year ends. Progress has been better than anticipated. *****

Oops, I definitely came the hard way to this cache. Didn't even see the side road to turn off, so I was parked about 100m north of the cache. I went slightly uphill then realised it was all downhill to the cache. Hang on the description says a short climb? why am i going down?
I soon realised when I hit a fence, that I had to jump over, and then spotted the nice road I could have easily stopped on instead.....!
Ahh well, sometimes you have to go the hard way after spending most of the time going the easy ways!
Thanks

Was in Goulburn again today and after performing some more important duties I had enough time for a cache run until heading back to Canberra
Found a couple of caches down the road from the Goulburn General Cemetery, which led me to an interesting dead-end I haven't been too before.
I then took a drive down Middle Arm road, and found all the caches along it. Another road I haven't travelled on before, so enjoyed being in the country and finding the interesting sites along the way which were highlighted by numerous caches.
My thanks to al the CO's caches I found along the way including:
GLISS!, team_lewin, Nibletricecakes, minniek, big-kahuna and Countrykittykat!

Best laid plans and all that. So, the Stumble's thought a geocaching trip to the beautifully historic Goulburn and surrounds was in order and didn't factor in Stumble's Mate's knee not wanting to play nicely. It was an adventure from the fourth geocache, a sabbatical in the nearby hospital for a few hours, before back into the geomobile and on our way.
Goodness, the adventures (and health insurance) required to geocache. TFTC though!!

The Stumble's had a planned day to cache in Goulburn to knock over the Mystery at the Museum series. The day started out well until we got to the 4th cache then disaster struck - yet again, caching has claimed my right knee however, this time there is no spectacular story to go with it. All I did was crouch down, moved slightly to my left and pop! That was it. Spent the next 3hrs in emergency before we continued on. Despite this little hiccup, we did manage 13 finds for the day.
Thanks to the CO for the hides - only wish we found more! All caches were in good condition and fairly quick to locate.
Damn! 5 days too early to claim this one on the 6mth unloved finds list!

A massive day was planned to clean up the area around Goulburn and do all of the Taralga trek. Started with a parkrun in Goulburn and then took the clockwise loop to Crookwell, Laggan, Taralga and back to Goulburn. Weather wasn't really on my side, cold and partly wet, but no soaking rain so I pushed through. Great caches and a good series with lots of different containers and hiding spots. I had a great day, thanks to all the cache owners for putting out the caches.

The Rats, steeba and Hoojar once again teamed up for another fun day of caching in the highlands. With our intended target being the Taralga Trek we made our way to Goulburn late on Saturday where we grabbed a few local caches before heading out to Peejar Dam where a very chilly night was spent under the stars. Sunday had us snaking our way around the Upper Lachalan area of Crrokwell and Taragla before heading back to Wollongong to complete our 24 hour adventure.
Our fellow cacher had the FTF on this some 9 years ago
Thanks to all the CO's for your cache placement, they added to gtreat day out with the boys.

Out and about on a 24-hour spree with The Rats and Steeba. We headed down to Goulburn on Saturday night to grab a few of the local caches that we had not yet collected, and then out to Peejar to spend a cool night under the stars. Sunday morning we went into Crookwell for breakfast, before following the Trek series into Taralga, and back to Goulburn. Finally we headed for home via a few more caches in the Highlands.
I ended up with a touch over 100 caches in the 24 hours away from home (100 was my goal, as I work towards 10,000). Some excellent caches were found. Thanks to all of the caches owners for their efforts.
Long have I thought of driving up here for this cache. Now I have.
Cheers

Geocaching buddy StrangTrousers and I headed off for a bit of caching on what turned out to be a cold – dam cold and windy day. So good to finally get that number. The road has been long to get here. Today’s journey was a loop Taralga Trek series via Goulburn, Crookwell, Laggan and Taralga. The 1000th cache mentioned a rock – so apt with geocaching. A glass of something with bubbles in it to celebrate a lunch before the final push using the last hours of daylight. What a day! Loved every minute of it even with the wind and the cold. Big thank you to StrangTrousers for the company and hours of driving.

#3942 43rd for today
I joined CBRChic for a return to the Taralga Trek series via Goulburn, Crookwell, Laggan and Taralga. On the way home we took a detour via Currawang to grab a few caches out that way. CBRChic was keen to reach her 1000th find & today she smashed through that milestone before lunch and added a healthy bite into the next 1000. Glad I could help. We enjoyed an impromptu glass of sparkling white at a Taralga pub in celebration.
The weather this weekend has been pretty horrible. Today was no exception with bitterly cold gusty winds and occasional showers. Just a week ago it was hovering around 30C, but today the wind chill had us in wintery conditions.
Thanks to the COs: big-kahuna

TFTC BK. Cache in good condition. Gps not working too well down there but found it with a bit of a scramble.
I found this cache as a joint part of “Team” Throsbyonchurch and in which name the log book was signed. I now have my own account as I’m old enough to cache myself, so I am claiming a fair share of my earlier finds. As I had no caching name at the time there's no log in the book for me but I’m claiming the find under team ToC. Thank you for the hide.

Had me stumped for a little while as my gps wasn't playing nice. Didn't take too long before I realised I was directly across from the cache and caught a glimpse of the lid. Nice drive from Goulburn as I am a new local I look forward to exploring and caching in the area. Thanks for the find.

Found this cache at Noon while in the Goulburn/ Crookwell area picking up a few hides and trying to get away from the rain back home. This would have to have been the original road crossing the creek before the bigger bridge. Nice neat little side track.

I tried to get to this from the North while working in Goulburn. I was coming from the North because I had overshot the location on a different road when going out to search from Goulburn. I couldn't get to it from the North because the road was completely blocked by a very large tree which I couldn't move or go around. This had never happened to me on a major tarred road ever before, only on 4WD tours. I had to go almost all the way back to Goulburn to come at it from the South.
Nice little area tucked away from the road. Drove down towards GZ and soon had the cache in hand.

Hot day in Goulburn, so decided to spend some time in the air-conditioned car seeking some local caches. Nearly missed the turn coming from town. Nice area and good hide. TFTC found by sneaky-Pete with JimmyT, Taygo and Big Pete.
Found on an evening caching bash around Goulburn. After getting back to town from another isolated road, we decided to turn around onto Middle Arm Road to get a few. It was getting slightly dark now and it was starting to spit a bit. Was stumped as we approached from the main road because we didn't know how to get down there. But then we found a SHARP elbow in the road, then we carefully drove on that road and the cache was quickly found. Nice niche in a nice peaceful area. There were some distressed cows nearby screaming as we were leaving. TNLNSL. TFTC big-kahuna!
We found it last week but for some reason out log doesn't appear to have worked so we will try again! Good cache. Never knew that side road existed till looking for this cache
Turning onto the road heading out here gave me an amusing light-bulb moment for the cache name. Beautiful countryside here, and further along this road it opens out more and becomes really stunning. I very nearly tried to do this from the main road as my GPS said it was close, but when looking for a safer parking spot further up I spotted the little side road. Still, that didn't stop me from doing it in as difficult a fashion as possible, by bush-bashing over the hill (and two fences) instead of simply driving down further. No matter, I enjoyed the scramble and even spotted a shingleback along the way. Once at GZ a find was soon made - nice hiding spot. Left a pathtag. TFTC!
Out and about down south and a quick stop in to get this cache

With Alannah Banana. Don't scare the cows. Nice spot for a picnic. Track doubles back to the south from main road and is a dead end. check your mirrors on corners. Take care when turning back onto road as the turn is blind on a corner. If you're good at reversing, try backing out onto the main road verge area, then you can drive straight onto the main road looking into oncoming traffic. Not that there's much of that!

Lots of bikes out today and I can see why - a nice wide ride that is relatively flat. A nice walk down the old road to the cache. TFTC
Found at 8:51 AM GAFF1. We have been wanting to do this cache each time we stay in Goulburn, but it has always been just that little bit too far. However on this trip we made a special effort to go look, so after a good breakfast we headed off and in no time we were in the country. We made it a little harder for us to get to the cache as we thought that it would be quicker to go over the cutting, only to find that it is just about a drive-by.
Wonder why this road is here at all?

Arrived out to this one and made the tight turn in (if coming from Goulburn I would suggest turning at the nearby driveway). Once at GZ mr_roo made the find while Stacky68, Ju and I stayed lower. It wasn't until about half an hour later that mr_roo cottoned onto the meaning of the cache name[B)]. TFTC
I can't believe that one of my traveling companions didn't get the significance of the name of this one!

Werent coming out to this one but pulled jusojara's arm and he drove out here. I did the dirty work at gz and found the cache in the open TFTC
Love the location, climbed up a bit far and then found it. Took Nothing Left Smiley TCTF
Quick stop on the way past. Funny thing about a GPS you can be lost when you know exactly where you are. There has been plenty of water through the area lately, but the cach is well and truly above the flood level.
