Bad Shot Dude!! (Coromandel) Matarangi, North Island, New Zealand

Due to significant erosion, unfortunately this cache has gone missing. Also to due to restricted access to the Omara spit, I have decided to archive this and my other cache on the spit.

The track is closed until further notice.

Tides are not conducive for fishing, so came over from Coromandel for a few caches.

Nice hide. Found a strange TB inside and not in the cache inventory. Will check it out and log it, so it can get back on the road.

Spent the weekend in Whitianga and on Saturday we drove up to Matarangi exploring some new areas and picking up caches along the way. This was a really nice walk around the outside of the golf course, we quickly found the cache as it was fairly exposed behind the tree, after signing the log we recovered with pine needles. TFTC!

Nice easy find as the GPS took us right there and the hide was a little bit uncovered. I think this cache needs a new log book (it's either this one or the one right at the end of the peninsular- I've got a bit confused now) as there is just a little piece of paper in it that we logged on. Fantastic location and most enjoyable find. Thanks.

What an amazing place this is. So much wildlife! Sad that the trees are falling down due to erosion but I guess that's gonna happen this close to the beach. No log so signed someone's card. TFTC

Unlike out last rummaging around for ages, I commented here that 'the obvious spot would be here' and lo and behold there was the cache! This is a nice walkway, and we enjoyed our stroll along to this cache and its mate around the corner. Thanks bluedahlia.

We did this one with POOKS5 as well it was a nice sunny day and we had walked past the tree and was thinking what spooky tree then we spend an hour or somthing like that then we found it i would say that its not behind the 14th Hole its before that it was so a Bad Shot Dude

LOL, we had hidden a cache a little further in the dark forest last year, but had never got around to making it official. So we not only found the Bad Shot Dude cache, but also were FTF and last to find for our own cache. A fabulous place for some caches, thanks for these.

Super spot. Breeze made the walk easier. lovely views, clouds and sand breaking up the hues of blue.

Nice walk with Little Blue Hen. Observed lots of bad shots being searched for in the rough. TFTCSL, tree not that scary on a sunny day.

Walk with Bkj97 very pleasant and the dotterells were a bonus. Took little blue car to assist transport. TFTCSL

It's not the walking muggles you need to watch out for it's the cycling ones. Had just got back on track having retrieved the cache when 3 bikes came round corner. I sat where I could take photos while filling out log. I had to wait for more bikes and walkers to go passed before I could return the cache.

Nice walk-went via the beach to get hewre for some reason.
Went on to the next one along too.

Wonderful walkway along the coastline. Only the gardener were working on the golf green.... no golfers at all. Saw many dotterels and oystercatcher breeding at the beach. Please do not disturb!

Happy to see some new caches near ours. Been laid up thru the winter with broken/leg ankle, but getting moving albeit slowly. So armed with crutch was determined to get to the cache. Didn't know about this walkway so a pleasant surprise and shuffle along it.
