called in to this park on my way past (looking to measure up for some new caches)
Council has cleared a few trees that stood along the fenceline with adjoining houses
the park is incredibly green, with grass growing right up to the trees, not something we see a lot here in SEQ.
they certainly have done a good job of clearing - right to the ground!

I'm just slowly making my way south for a week-end out on the bike. The second day on the bike for me down the coast.
It is approaching the end of 2 big days out on the bike.
There was no sign of this one at GZ. Looks like the slasher has been through recently.

Seems there's a problem here. I will disable this cache until I can get out there and see if the location still exists.
Same result as the previous two cachers. A DNF. Searched around the only possible spot with no luck. Think it needs to be checked.
No luck finding the cache today, as I think GZ has changed since the cache was placed. A pleasant park to visit, and strangely the dogs only started barking on the way back out! Thanks for the hide anyway.
Found it. Took us longer to find the walkway to the park than it did to find the cache itself. It was uncovered, probably from the storm yesterday, so was a very easy find. Tried to re-cover it better. TFTC[:0]
What a lovely big park, must take our dog for a walk here some time. Enjoyed looking and loved the cache
Had breakfast out with daughter as well afterwards

Great park. Felt like running around amongst the trees. This is what caching is about finding all those hidden places.

The smartphone was off a bit, we worked it out from clue. Kids enjoyed the treasure hunt and the picnic after.
What a great place to play ball, but it looks as if it would get rather wet in the right situation T Dinosaur L Sylvester TFTC
Nice little park, with no body around.
Co-ords off a little, but after a quick look, a quick find was achieved.

Introduced my friend to Geocaching, she had no idea that is was behind her house. Found it a while back, just haven't logged it yet. TFTC - THB.
Out caching with Mischievous Maverick today - the other halfs are back home shopping and doing other boring stuff. False start but soon had a cache in hand. What a fantastic area this is. TFTH
As usual didn't read description first. Luckily theres a gate into the park from the shops carpark. Hop over the creek and cache was in hand. TFTC.
Missed entrance to area - checked the listing and was pleased you listed co-ordinates. Nice quick walk and a short search for the find. SL TFTC
Cache was up at fence in the open - moved back to base of tree. Pretty muddy...great spot. TFTC
Rain rain go away

Was eager to find this one, since it's right behind my friends house. Easy find, nice area. Cache still in good condition. Brother G1 TB still there. Omg and the digimon swap brought back the memories.

Thanks for the parking coordinates. I don't think I would have found the entrance without them.
The GPS pointed me to a spot which didn't look promising so I ignored it and had a scout around. Luckily for me the cache was exposed.
I signed the log and dropped off Brother G1 TB to relax here for a while.
No trouble with dogs while I was there but as I arrived back at the car another car had pulled up and the driver was releasing 2 hounds to give them exercise in the park. She didn't have leads for them either so I had timed my exit pretty well. TFTC.

Another nice spot to visit early in the morning on a warm up for a caching adventure at back Creek. Thanks for the cache
11th of 20 today with two of my Geokids, the twins this time, James as always and Jemma, who really took a shine today to doing "Swaps" for toys. they had a ball "Treasure Hunting" on the golden coast. Quick walk and find by James. Dropped off a few travellers as well. Cheers.
Nice quiet secluded park? Well, kinda! Not a human or monkey in sight.
However, I counted five different dogs barking at me from behind their fences and then the local birds decided that they weren't happy with me crouching under their tree. There must have been 10 of them on close branches going crazy.
Signed log and made a quick but stealthy retreat.

Apart from some over excited neighbours' dogs, the area was lovely and quiet. TFTC!

#4347 Found this cache as part of a recent brissy raid along with Steeba and Big Matt. A nice easy find even though the mutts alerted all to our presences.
Thanks

Found this cache with steeba and The Rats on our 2010 Brisbane Invasion Trip. This was our 4142nd overall find.
Found at about 11:40 AM. A quick wander to the GZ for a nice quick find, we were in and out quickly due to the local mutts.
Thanks to Aussie Liahona for the cache.

Found with The Rats and Big Matt as The Gangsters on our Brisbane invasion trip.
Plenty of barking dogs around the vicinity of GZ. Not too much trouble with the hide- the GPSr was maybe a few metres out but that didn't matter.
Rangas are popular these days [^]. TFTC!

Wow, another huge park we never knew existed. Many thanks. Took snake, left puzzle.
Picked this one up on our way down to Springbrook.
Took a while to find the entrance to this back of the houses park.
Featherdown decided to wait in the car today.
Easy find.
Thanks

This was the third cache of 26 on day six of my QLD trip. I enjoyed the walk along this trail, I could believe there was a Muggle standing smoking with his dog right where I needed to duck in for the cache, I chatted with him for sometime and then decided to keep walking, thankfully on my return walk he was gone. My thanks to Aussie Liahona for the cache.
my first find - great fun thank you. never knew that park was there and live so close by!!!!!
No trouble with the local hounds this morning as the leaves were damp and I was able to wander around without the ground being "crisp" under foot... [^] On arrival the GPS wanted to take me elsewhere for the hunt but, it was obvious where I needed to be and when I moved in, the cache was revealed... I grabbed the coin while there and tucked the cache away before moving on...
Cheers Aussie Liahona.
Cheers Aussie Liahona.
What a surprise to find this huge, grassy, treed area hidden behind the houses. Makes a great back yard for the locals. Found the cache while the nearby dish-licker went ballistic. There was another one in the park and obviously the one in the yard was keen to play. Signed the log and grabbed the "Sadsack" geocoin. Probably put a smile on it's face, just to be away from the incessant barking .
Found by Mary & David at 0940. For the last week we've seen workers mowing at almost every park we've stopped at. All these places look great as a result, but we guess that the jungle would soon take over otherwise in this climate. Beautiful trees here. Our indicated GZ was a little off today, and was actually at the next one to the west. Our thanks again to Aussie Liahona.
It's a nice area and easy stroll for the kids. I was surprised that it was completely deserted on a public holiday. TFTC

Another easy one in a great park. The dogs starting barking as we approached GZ, which always makes it uncomfortable caching so close to someones property. Never the less, SL TNLN TFTC
After driving the street twice I decided to read the cache notes before trying again. DOH !
Finally parking near house number 34 I was on my way into the park.
An easy find, though I get somewhat spooked going close to the back fence of peoples homes.

Found the cache quickly, thanks aussie liahona.

Came to discover the trackables and leave some wild animals that can provide company for a Nerangotang. Decide to take Barry the Happy Dolphin to move him along because he's been here almost one month now.
Continuing my "hidden from sight, Gaaaaald Coast parks tour" this morning this beautiful parkland got me attention
I rolled up to the suggested parking spot in the geomobile and found meself completely surrounded by suburbia [:o]
But sure enough, there was the little alleyway leading between two houses, giving no hint of the wonders that lay at the other end.
This alleyway was a bit grander than most with its nicely painted steel gate and unblemished concrete path and steps.
Passing the end of the fences I was greeted by a lawn full of trees [:o]
Now which tree to head for ?
It didn't take long to work out
TFTC and revealling another hidden wonderland [^]
I left "Barry the Happy Dolphin" TB and the "Dolphin 2 Surf Board" TB.

Nice hidden open space, cache found by our eagle eyed geoson as our Garmin had the GZ @8m away. TFTC
Nice easy find in a park that I run past all the time but never knew existed. Well I guess that's the whole point isn't it? This would be a good one to take your kids to so they don't have to go stomping through the bush and to avoid all the DNF frustration my geo-lads have endured. Nice cache. Thanks very much.
No one was in the park at 2pm so I was safe. Someone had raked the park. Found the cache quite exposed so tried to cover it up again. Don't think anyone goes to all areas of the park, except those council workers. Cache still well stocked. Took 1 item and left 2 small items.
No barking dogs today. The GPS was all over the place at 1st with this one, hard to pick which way to go so finally just took a punt, and soon had the cache in hand. Looks like one of those parks where a lot of rubbish gets dumped which then gets mown over but the council. At 1st I thought the cache had been muggled as there looked to be what could have been 'swaps' throughout the leaf litter around quite a number of the trees in the park. Did a bit of a tidy up while I was there - bit of a shame as it is a nice park.
What a great park. The coords had us barking up the wrong tree at first, but that could have been caused by the big storm that was brewing affecting the GPSr. We grabbed it, signed the log and got outta there before the rain came. TFTC
FTF 8PM 14/10/09 !!...I thought I'd do another night assault on this one...good fun! Aussie Liahona, I give up...no more caches for a week...I need a rest!!!
Yes, quite an impressive piece of parkland, but come back after cyclonic rains. It floods quite nicely.
I think I was "spoken to" by most all of the dogs within a square kilometre while I fumbled around with my torch, but I got there in the end.
Another well prepared cache from Aussie Liahona. Thankyou.

PS..I have it on good authority that the locals are a little 'uncomfortable' with the use of "Nerangotangs"!

Saw this one on the email this morning along with a challenge from Herbz to myself and the Holminator, who also works close by to get the FTF. Not one to decline a challenge I popped in on the way to work only to find that GPS-RNAV had nabbed the FTF last night along with another neaby cache FTF. Seems you have to be quick to beat GPS-RNAV these days. Well done to all. TFTC TNLN
