Why is a caching pen like a sock? They suddenly go missing for no reason. Sweeeet cache.

A nice quick find thanks.

Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Wellington and beyond here we come. Today we did a little cruising around to the East and south of Auckland..

Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

A nice cache to end the day. Good to have a shoulder of road to pull over while we decided which structure to find the cache in. I found it in the second one I tried. Tftc

Searched a few places, before we had our hands on this one as it was not where we were initially searching. Wrote our names as best we could but the log paper is mushy and needs replacement.

We stopped here after having breakfast nearby and were pleased to have the place to ourselves. The road was so quiet there was no other traffic the entire time we were there.
After initially assuming where it would be we soon looked where it actually was.
Nice camo, cleverly put together. TFTC.

29-Sep-19

21-Aug-18
Really nice hide. Liked it!
Thanks for that!

Another nice day of caching for the Hidden Creatures challenge. This one took me ages to find,
though I had seen on a photo of an old log book entry what I was looking for. I checked all the possible hint items at the wrong place, and checked the right place several times, before I got the idea of searching in the grass below. And there it was, it had just fallen out of its hiding spot... Very nice and creative idea! TFTC

23-Jul-18
Hidden Creatures Challenge... Accepted !!! Found with Piratenschatzsucher! and Pyphant and signed as Team Piraten. TFTC

On an early morning caching mission, 2 of the clan hatched a plan to make an early morning trip north and to find enough caches to qualify for the Planetary Pursuit. Careful planning was made and we had a very enjoyable hunting out the caches. Thanks also go out to all the cache owners who have placed and maintained the caches.

25-Nov-17
This afternoon I decided to head out to Clevedon to pick up a cache in order to keep my daily caching streak alive. That is how I came to be looking for this particular cache. So after parking as near to GZ as possible I then began my search. I actually made this one a lot harder on myself than it had to be... and after looking in a ton of different spots it turned out to be really obvious... well... maybe to those of you reading this who are more intelligent than I am. So I took the cache back to the car to sign... and as I did another car pulled up and asked if I was ok. I said in reply... 'yes I'm ok... just taking photos' and they drove off. So the log book has been signed and the cache is back in its place all ready for the next finder. So thank you WackyB for taking the time to set this one up. Nice. Smile

out and about New Zealand with Red Roaming, unfortunately we don't have too many days left now. We are visiting friends in Howick and today we have decided to come to Clevedon, as I went to school in Clevedon in the UK!!!!. Logs signed DD & RR or with our full caching names
apologies for the lateness in my logging.
once we stopped searching the obvious RR soon had her hand on this one. Neat hide. TFTC

10-May-17
Cache soon found by me once we stopped searching the obvious! Felt we ought to find this one being visitors to NZ although we have often avoided the tourist centres in searching for caches! Many thanks

Favourite point- excellent container and hide!

Travelling around the world with Dartmoor Deliverer celebrating her taking early retirement!

NB Dont forget our Devon UK Mega 2017 GC6JZNY this August in the beautiful East Devon area of our county. UK Megas are over one week full of events and geocaching - a wonderful way to enjoy our county!

08-May-17
After spending some time at the Clevedon Sunday farmers market with theMexican and evilno9 to purchase some Brezels and Coffee we made a quick stop at GZ. Searched for a long time till we found the goods on the ground. Signed as Team Brezel, replaced the container and moved on. TFTC

07-May-17
Caching today with TheMexican and alpenmilch80 and had a go at this one. Didn't have too much luck to begin with but after going back to the same spot noticed something on the ground which turned out to be the cache. Returned to its rightful spot after signing the log. TFTC

14-Apr-17
Showing parents the falls and around had to find a cache for today and got network close to this one. So couldn't take any of the caches from the ranges but this one was close enough. I was not able to open the cache page, due to network issues, but had no trouble in finding it at all. Tftc.

29-Dec-16
At a recent local Geocaching event I mentioned in passing it had been a while seen we had done any night missions and maybe we could head out for a few hours one evening once the kids were tucked up in bed. Somehow that evolved into me jumping into a car with Cats&Dragons, HKCB and RWIMF at 7pm on the 29th and hopping out of the car eleven hours later at 6am on the 30th. We signed the cache logs RICH an acronym of Geocaching names. I didn’t get as many finds as the others as I crashed and fell asleep in the car for a couple of hours sometime between 3 and 4am. Thanks to all the CO’s for placing and maintaining all the geocaches we found on our trip and for my companions for making the evening so enjoyable. It was HKCB who got his hands on this one first. TFTC.

29-Dec-16
It's been a while since we have done a night mission, so with a few ideas thrown about we settled on heading to the Beachlands/Maraetai area for a bit of a clean out and to locate the two night caches in the area. The team consisted of RWIMF, iammrwalker, Cats&Dragons and myself (HKCB), which meant we signed the logs as RICH an accornym of our caching names.

Leavng home about 7pm we cached through the night, with the goal to reach my 7000th find, unfortunately the late night counting wasn't accurate enough which meant I was 1 short of that goal, but still 67 finds for the night wasn't a bad effort. We all had a great night, and found a handful of really good geocaches as well. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements.

26-Dec-16
Heading out today to try and get to 300 finds before the end of the year. This was our tenth find so far. Had me testing all sorts - but in the end the husband cool as every - found it!! Grrr made me feel a twat but I will gladly take the smilie.

26-Dec-16

04-Dec-16
12pm - This weekend was going to be all about cache numbers.
With a semi plan made the squirrel and I hit the roads around south Auckland.
Also along the way a few puzzles that we had solved we collected.
Also one puzzle with a starting point at certain address which we have passed numerous times we thought we could wing this and find it.
Much to our delight we got it. great haul of caches this weekend ,and some very interesting locations.
A couple of misses and with some areas cordoned off we missed a couple more.
All in all a successful weekend. SLTFTC

04-Nov-16
I looked from one direction, couldn't see it, so went to explore some other options, but when I turned around the cache became obvious! Yay

29-Sep-16
Working just up the road. Quick find on the way back. tftc

24-Sep-16
I was heading to paintballing at Clevedon for late morning and as it was supposed to be raining later in the day, it meant if i wanted any caches, and I did, it was going to have to be before. So headed into South Auckland area and started collecting.

Had a couple of mins so this was a possibility, walked stright up to it, nice and easy. TFTC

22-Apr-16
Quick trip to Thames this morning and not really any time to cache but this is going to be my only chance today so need to find something and this is only a short detour on the way home. Quick find complete with rather fast moving black spider. Get a fav from me just for the fright the spider gave me.

20-Apr-16

13-Jun-15
Drove out with KFNZ to grab a few hides in the area after a morning of paintballing with some other cachers nearby. Most of us headed for the likely spot, while another went to another. Turns out the minority was right this time! Thanks for the quick drive-by! The afternoon turned out to be one of visiting many local bridges for caches! Smile

13-Jun-15
After attending the Aftermath paintballing event we headed off with UncleSamNZ and Newlynfam to get some extra caches 'on the way' home.

We searched the likely spots first but when we saw nothing we moved to the second obvious spot and there was the clever cache. Nice camo once again.

Thanks for bringing us here.

I was out in Clevedon today running for junior and on the early side, so decided to find the odd cache or 2... overshot the mark a little partly due to having a car right behind me, turned around then ended up being on the right side of the road anyhow.

The phone was bouncing all over the place, but followed my gut and soon made the find.
Nice hide.
TFTC.

28-Sep-13
School holidays and we're off to Los Angeles early tomorrow morning. A quick visit to Kawakawa Bay brought us near some caches...

Another great location... No trouble finding this one. However, the logbook is almost unusable. I managed to squeeze my handle onto the paper, but it's so fragile the paper was disintegrating. This needs attention as the log condition ruins the 'wow' factor of the container. TFTC.

11-May-13
Logbook is wet and very fragile

11-May-13
Log book is wet and close to full. Managed to sign it. TFTC
