Someone has burgled the container but thankfully left the contents which I have. Once I have a new container will reactivate
day trip to Palmy with the family, nice quick find here, the interior of the cache was a little wet, but the logbook was dry enough and was nice to see it's had lots of visitors, TNLNSL, TFTC
Catching up with family in Palmerston North after the New Year and a plan was made to get some exercise and find some caches. This was the second one for the afternoon circuit.
Good hint, cache quickly found, travel bug added.
Thanks for the smilie.

Down in Palmy staying with a friend for a few days and we went for a walk along these tracks this afternoon and picked up some smileys. Last one for the day here, TFTC
I have found myself coming up to Palmerston North a lot in recent months, but I don't often get to be in this part of it. So today I thought it was about time I made a bit of effort to break my duck for this area.
Driving up after work meant that even with Daylight Saving kicking in in just over a week from now, I only had about half an hour of daylight to use for searching. Coming fresh from a nearby find, I hoped this would be nice and easy. The walkway down to GZ was deserted as I approached, so I was able to look around leisurely to spot the hint object. It was pretty dark under cover as I found the container but I could see enough to tell it was covered in insects which I had to shake off before I could open up the cache.
All was well with the container and all it's contents. So the log was quickly signed and then everything replaced before heading back to the car to see if I could grab another one or two before the light failed completely.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Making way to another hidden creature. Easy find at start of walk with 20 months old grandson and the grand dogs. Too wet to hunt for others in the long grass.

I have set myself a goal to get the requirements for the mystery cache The well-rounded cacher challenge (Manawatu) So each time I go out caching weather it is by myself or with fellow cacher I will try to get a least one cache that will get me closer to my goal
Out here with Scoria in the Palmerston North area, today specifically targetting regular size caches at the start of the day all I need to get the bronze badge for the regular size cache badge was 18 more regular caches, not an overly hard to goal to achieve over the next couple of weekends, after this one 14 more to go.
Parked up and took a short walk to ground zero I found the cache without any problems and I signed the log book Scoria had already sign the log book a while back when he worked here in Palmerston North a few years ago and used this cache for a travel bug drop off point.
Plan to come back to this walkway in the not too distance future and walk this walkway and other nearby ones collecting the caches that I miss along the way when I have more time and not targetting specific cache for the day
Thanks for the cache

Have cleaned up cache (cleaned seals and dried contents) several weeks ago. Seems fine know. A number of finders noted plenty of wood lice or slaters around. I have been putting all my tree trimming through a wood chipper and spreading around the area, thus a great environment for wood lice. Just try to not let any get inside the cache. Thanks
Miss 3Prettys and I chose to stop here on our way to Longburn. Once we realised the long driveway was indeed the path we quickly found the cache. The container held quite a bit of water and many swag items were in poor condition. Miss 3Prettys left a Shopkin.
Thank you for the cache.

In Palmy for the weekend getting a few caches. There are a lot of great walkways here. Thanks for showing me them. I appreciated the really clear hint. Dropped off a TB.
Not being very local, or even local I didn't understand the hint. However, it isn't as easy to hide a big box and pleased to have spotted this quite quickly. I would have liked to explore the trails further but not today. As we are staying just up the road we may be able to revisit again.
It was pleasant walk! So glad that me and my friend found it! My first geocache! Yayyy!
Initially a bit hesitant to stroll down what looked like a private driveway, but then saw the sign and walked on. Cache was a quick find at GZ. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.
Out this way tonight solely to get down my dot days this year. Greatly I had a spot of free time in the evening to pop out and ninja over here to get a cache. Gr33nslime had done this before so on her advice that it was an easy quick grab, off I went. Was not disappointed, the cache was so easy to find, I nearly tripped over it. It wasn't on the path, it was covered, but the hide location was very clear. So after looking through the cache for the long gone (as always) trackables I signed the log and hide it back as best I could. Another dot day bites the dust and I was back home before the sun went down. Thanks for the cache, I needed a quick win today, and I appreciate the size.
Nice example of a well hidden cache not far off a well beaten path. No sign of the listed trackables though
All in good shape. Son left his favourite Palmy Rock to share. Nice cache.
Found today with MissSwiss, thank you for placing a good sized container, we dropped off a TB which was a little bigger than most & wanted to find a cache that was suitable.
She dropped off a TB racer and claimed the NZ Keyring TB..... she's a bit like Gollum "It's mines"

A quickish find with Swissfamily1 on a drizzly afternoon. We had a run up and down the steps to work out what the scary noise Mini Swiss was talking about. It was the water rushing through the drains!
Dropped off my TB racer that I found at the Mega.

This was almost a park and grab with a short walk in between. It was quickly located. We had expected mud and yuck but it was fine. It looked close to pouring with rain so we very quickly logged the cache and headed for the next. We dropped off a trackable in the hope that this area may attract tourists or visitors connected with the nearby resthome, uni, and language college who may take it further afield. TFTC.
Was in the area on an abortive mission to try and avenge a DNF on a new cache from last night. As you do I looked for anything else around, not wanting to return without any finds, and went for this one.
Nice easy find but in nothing out slaters- second time I have encountered that lately at a cache! But they were on the outside, cache itself is in excellent condition.
Would have liked to do the Poutoa Reserve cache but ran out of time.
Cache is devoid of swag, I am now back in PN central and just realised too late I had something ideal in my bag.
So if someone else is feeling generous maybe they could stock it up a bit.
TFTC.

Thanks robnzh the cache was deliberately made large so as to allow plenty of room for trades. Will look to progressively rebuild.
Nice quick find, drove to the start of the track and had a quick wonder down the steps into the gully while I waited for all the walkers to go by this evening, and was then able to quickly sign the logbook & move out before the next couple came through
#752 Thought I would spend a lazy sunday walking / running and picking up all the unfound caches around my home town. Yet another of this network of paths that I have never trodden on. Cool to find a large cache in this environment. All good inside. TFTC!
A lovely evening walk to get this geocache even if we did have to swat away the midges!! Great size cache here!! Thanks!

Time to go for cache hunt and it decided to rain as we arrived at the co ordinates got soaked the cache was found in good condition quick find and sign thanks for the cache
Quickly spotted as wasn't covered!! Have left it covered so it won't get muggled. Tftc
3rd find for the day! First time on this walking track, so thanks for introducing us to it - will surely be back to enjoy this area.
Quick find on a lovely calm sunny spring day. TFTC! Educated a passing dogwalking muggle on what geocaching is all about -she totally got it!
4th of the day. This was a nice area to be geocaching -lots of nice walks in the area. TFTC.
A nice quick easy find before being dragged off to the playground up the road by Miss 3yo. Left 2 wrist bands. TFTC
Dropped off travel bug I had been hanging onto for far to long. Happy journey Kunigunde.
Out geocaching with the Manawatu family microadventurers. Swapped some stickers and a wooden letter for a toy and ring.
Last one for the afternoon - quick find - while girls ran the stairs! (still trying to burn their energy!) - Took Bell, & hippo - left Relay for Life Broach, recipe card & toy story rubber. TFTC
Introduced friends to geocaching and this was their first find on 17 th may. Didn't have my phone with me so couldn't log until now. Didn't have any treasure to swap so will go back during next school holidays to keep daughter happy. It was her first find with treasure.
I picked up a travel bug. The travel bug wants to clean up trash. I put a bell in the cache and I took a toy aeroplane. TFTC
The second cache to log on Mother's Day on a family walk in Summerhill. The weather was not great, so there were no muggles around. The cache could easily be retreived. Afterwards we rewarded ourselves with some afternoon tea at the nice Rendez-Vous restaurant in Summerhill shopping centre. TFTC
We headed off around 9.10am to visit some of these caches, the wind was crisp and the sun was out, lovely area to walk, we had thought it was going to be a busy track but not so only came across 3 people the whole time we were there, I think we must have been to late for the morning joggers.
Very quickly found this cache, could see how you could end up on someone's back yard very easy, signed the log, added a paracord keychain, tried to rehide better as it was visible. tftc
