Day 18 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and today we left Te Anau and travelled to Queenstown caching along the way. Not before collecting some delicious muffins at the Merchant Store. The weather is looking very promising and the scenery was pretty good too. Thanks for contributing to our amazing holiday Ashsal
Day eighteen of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Traveling from Te Anau to Queenstown, with just a few caches done.Cloud over the mountains, but no rain today.I took one side of the wall, and The Morris took the other.I scored the lucky side. Not keen on looking in these walls, I have seen walls destroyed by geocachers. Thanks, Robmc.
Day 6 in New Zealand First morning in Owaka so picking up a few around the region. First Mataura then Gore. Im not one to whine about caches but . Why anyone would put it on the house side is beyond me, but there it was. I guess. Maybe the same thinking that has a rectangular rock as a square marker. Done My first overseas trip ever started off eventful with my tree fishing pole joining me in Brisbane on a later flight after deciding not to travel with me initially, but all sorted and the trip has been stress free since checking out the stunning scenery and picking up caches of various sorts. Went caching with the Qld + 1 crew while in Dunedin but finished up and headed south with GCoven on my way to fly out back to Townsville Australia via Invercargill Thanks Ashsal for placing this Traditional for me to convert into a smilie
Quick find on our way to Wanaka, kids played in the playground while we found the cache, tftc
Such a cute little place. My fav spot here is the cafe covered in red leaves. Were out on a family outing today. 3 generations out caching 3 from Queenstown, 2 from Tokoroa and one from Norfolk Island.
Day 10 of our roadtrip around the south island with Blue Jay. Today we drove from Te Anau to Queenstown in cold & windy weather but still managed to pick up several caches along the way. This was one of them.TFTC. Toffee Man.
Aaahhghhh - a dry stone wall no way were allowed to place caches in these in Ireland. Thankfully it was a quick find with no damage inflicted We also acknowledge the traditional custodians of New Zealand / Aoteroa, as we geocache throughout their land while on holiday. Thanks for showing us this place, & for placing and maintaining this cache. The is our playground
Another cache found today, I'm on my way to Queenstown, and grabbing a few leap day caches. Everything is looking good here - TFTC
Found when stopping here to check out the shop. Thanks to a previous cacher for the helpful photo! TFTC from the UK.
Velk cesta do Ocenie - den 58 - Te Anau, Fiordland - Lake Hawea, South Island, Nov Zland (asi 250 km) M rozvaovn, zda a kam pojedu lod po jezee, ukonilo rno poas. Zcela edo, d a 9C ! Zelen i modr, obrovsk a vlastn bez civilizace. Hned bych tu zstala. Skvl atmosfra, vude hoely krby, lid se povalovali v sedakch a pili vno. Jen jdelnek m zase zklamal - burgry, tacos, fish and chips a podobn. To prost nechpu. U mm toho jednotvrnho jdla dost. It was raining until lunch and it was very cold, only 9C. Then the weather improved slightly and I was able to find some caches along the way. Today I continued along the Southern Scenic Route from Te Anau to Queenstown and then the Alpine Scenic Route to Lake Hawea. The roads were really scenic and I enjoyed the ride. Thanks everyone for the caches and greetings from the Czech Republic.

What a cute little town. We enjoyed seeing the tiny school and church.Cache was found easily.
A quick find and I was very careful here as I didnt want to wreck the wall. The nearby book bench intrigued me and I will never get home to Christchurch at this rate

Today I drove from Te Anau to Kingston. To shorten the drive a bit (or to delay hours) I took the opportunity to pick up some caches. Thank you.
Coffee stop at nearby cafe where had the most delicious ginger slice (best ever). Thought would be like looking for a needle in a haystack with this one but thankfully first choice was the right one TFTC
After 10 minutes of hunting, we spotted the odd one out and found the well-hidden cache. TFTC
Shit Yeah, Birthday find whilst on the Wood choppers southern circuit tour. TFTC

Ruru-NZ and I are or have been on Stewart Island doing the Geotour caches as a priority but any others found are a bonus for me.
When I saw this I said we give it 5 minutes to find well it seems I used up 2 and a half. Well spotted me as I was standing right in front of it.

Kiwicampnut and I finally managed to coordinate ourselves having been over to the island we have finished my PWGT5 caches and making good progress on hers while finding others along the way.
Knowing this was a tricky one, and with 2 recent DNFs we gave ourselves just 5min looking. I started the timer and just 2min and 15sec later got a found it. As I vaguely recalled, the hint object is a sesame street object - one of these thing is not like the others...
Thanks for the cache Ashsal

Really good location and not too hard to find, fun on the way to queenstown! Quite a quick find.
Road trip from Rotorua North Island. Another South island cache found.
Took a bit to find this one. Hmmmm not a rock, but it is square.

I looked for this some time ago but was heavy dew and feet were getting soaked so gave up. Back today and a quick find. Sure I picked that stone up last time.
So many square stones. If it wasn’t for previous logs and the pile of stones we wouldn’t have found it as the GPS was taking us to the wrong part of the wall. Cache container getting full with the added log papers. TFTC.
Arrived at Athol on the cycle trail from Lumsden to the very comfortable Mataura Lodge. Time to ride back for a couple of caches. Thanks to additional hints on other logs soon found. I left the old damp full log in the warm breeze while I biked off for Golden Gate Bridge nearby.
But full logbook needs replacing. The little additions will soon fill up.
But TFTC CO. I hope you are still caching and able to maintain it.

Thanks for hiding.

Making our way south and enjoying the quiet roads, weather has been amazing, thanks for the placement.
Haha we parked 100m away, then realised we were in the wrong spot and it was going to be a little trickier than expected. Spotted by an eagle eyed Mr 11. Tftc
We were not pleased about where this cache was located. In the UK geocaches are not allowed to be hidden in dry stone walls and I think it should be the rule here too. Anyway, the cache was at the back of the wall and well marked with a pile of stones so hopefully, geocachers will not do too much damage to the wall while searching.
We arrived in Athol intending to have lunch and a good big pot of tea in one of the cafes and support the local economy - imagine our dismay when we found both cafes closed! So we ended up at the picnic table in this Saleyards park, thankful that it was a fine warm day so pleasant to be outside. We did carry our lunch, but we had been dreaming of cafe food! Tararua biscuits with salami and cheese, sweet Tararua biscuit with butter and jam, oranges to follow. No drinking water available except from the toilet handbasin, so we refilled our drink bottles there.
Cache is in the drystone wall, unfortunately. Halfway along, on side that hall is on. Have left small cairn on ground below so people can find quickly without removing other stones from wall.
