Logs
Logging as found with very kind permission from the CO, for which we are very grateful. Many thanks
Delightful hidden away spot in this quiet village. Travelling around the world with Dartmoor Deliverer to help her celebrate taking early retirement!
NB Dont forget our Devon UK Mega 2017 GC6JZNY this August in the beautiful East Devon area of our county. UK Megas are over one week full of events and geocaching - a wonderful way to enjoy our county!

Red Roaming and I are travelling around the world and spending several weeks here in New Zealand. We are on our way to Queenstown from Te Anau, caching a bit on the way. We saw about this one in Athol! Golden gate Bridge North, so we decided to visit on our way. What an amazing place, which we would never have found out about without caching. The CO has very kindly given us permission to log this one - Thank you. TFTC
I'll add my log to those found since the archive. A cache was in place but it was a "throw-down" not matter how carefully place.
However this deserves a note - without being directed here I would not have met Peter Rabbit along with his family and home.

Micro drop and replacement log. Camo'd eclipse tin. For bonafide finders. Placed at hint place opposite 'village' Between rock and a hard place. Returned to sort and bag up the visitors box. Local muggle sauntered over and chatted about the display for a while.

At our drive to te anau we tock some caches. And this one was one of it. TFTC AN OTHER NICE DAY IN NZ WITH GREAT CACHES.
Stopped by and had a laugh when o found the area. However based on the hint and the prior logs it appears the cache is missing.
Thank you for the cache. We were with my wife on long trip around south east Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The caches showed us so many nice places.
This one needs help I found the log in a bag without container... and the log was wet... So I couldn't sign see picture. TFTC
Found it the second time! So obvious when you find it. Just stand up and look at what doesn't appear right

Went round and round tree like a yoyo. Then look else where and yes got the little thing. Like Peter Rabbit. TFTC.
what a cute site this was! We wrote in the visitors book as well as in the official logbook.
In the big box lay a TB, we took it along

Stopped off to look at the church and discovered there were a couple of GC's in the vicinity, quickly looted Peter Rabbit's store then went after the second one. Great spot great hide. TFTC
Lovely little grotto did not have time to read all the comments but it was well done. Deserves a favourite left TB RSC. TFTC

TFTC - who would ever know about this just driving past? Caching certainly brings some surprises. Muggles do miss out! Puzzled for a little while here but MrD spotted something and there it was.
Missed this one first time round but got it on the way back to Queenstown. Hint and size of cache are both a bit misleading. Thank you for getting us to stop in this lovely little home! Tftc
Day 7 of our NZ holiday.
The street took us from Te Anau to Queenstown.
We found some beautiful Caches and spots, we wouldn't have visited without Geocaching.
Thanks to all the Owners for showing us these nice places.

I liked this one. Very funny hide. On the other side of the world we had an amazing experience while traveling New Zealand. Great impressions, lovely places and nice geocaches all over. Thanks for inventing and hiding. Lemmer
On great tour with Lemmer in New Zealnd we foundamazing spots. Thanks for all of it. Flatrate
Spent a lot of time looking fir this 5 days ago, today a quick find. Very good Cammo not seen one like this before TFTC
We've visited Peter Rabbit lots of times - especially after cross country! Nice to actually find the real cache this time
What a delightful setting Peter is living in under the tree. Found it after a lot of looking. Great camo. Sure is a favourite. Tftc
I came here in early 2011 but ran out of time and didn't find the cache then. Returned on the way south from Queenstown this morning to complete the unfinished business and found it within a couple of minutes. A really cute cache setup, loved it! Signed log, TFTC and it gets a favourite point.
What a great little treat, perhaps known only to geocachers and a few locals.
Enjoyed a nice lettuce with Peter while we figured out the cunning cache

Hello! What a nice place peter rabbit! But infortunately I did not find the micro cache.....I tried to look everywhere, I even opened the little blue door, tried to look under every stones, in the tree...nothing!....is it still there?
We did not expect anything like that! What a great spot and an easy find as well. Thanks for showing us this spot.
We spent some time with looking and then finally we found it? It is timespending to run around the tree. Stop and think! Really very nuce cache! Thank You!
Were also with Kiddzinn when they found it a few years ago. Took a bit of finding as quite flooded. TFTC
Paid my respects to Peter and his fans. Took two visits, read the logs carefully. Very clever hide, clue a bit misleading. TFTC
Found it on way to the wakatipu basin for a day of caching with granville86a, the container and contents had been dismantled and laying about but with some quick adjustments good as new. Interesting display, seems to have dwindled a little since last visit, Cheers
A great place for a cache and a clever hide in the surroundings. It was a quick grab for us as we were travelling thru to Queenstown for the day. TFTC [^]
Looked for this one about 18 month's ago without success and was pleased to be passing this very pleasant settlement and had another look. A smiley this time! Thanks for bringing us to this delightful spot, another favourite added.
During our visit in beautiful New Zealand, we have naturally sought some caches. There were many memorable impressions on our trip and showed us some caches the New Zealand off the beaten path. You have a wonderful country! We thank all Ownern for the cache and send best regards from Germany, Saxony, Leipzig 2 Supermuggels
Didn't take long to figure this one out as have placed a cache the same as this myself. Have been here twice before with little children and didn't realize there was a cache here too. A very cool hide, TFTC
Just about to give up for a second time when I happened to spy something familiar. A big sigh of relief and no wonder I didn't find it last time in the dark. The recent rain had made a little lakeside resort here today. TFTC #4693
After a second look on the way back home we found it! Definitely not what you expect! Took a bit of thinking
After looking around the bottom of the tree for a while we could not find it.
Lovely little spot. Searched for a while and checked hint and searched again. Was just about to flag it when I spotted something that didn't look quite right and sure enough. Perhaps the hint is a little misleading?
Found with 1jb while driving to Milford Sound in the campervan, thanks for the cache and greeting from the uk. Enjoyed looking at the Peter Rabbit site and then went on and found the micro.
Took some time to find this one, looked all around where the clue stated the changed my train of thought and soon had it in hand, love Peter's home
Many thanks for placing cache here though disappointed we did not find it and we looked everywhere. Lovely to see Peters home. We live 1 hours drive from Cumbria, UK, where Beatrix Potter lived and wrote the books. Tf placing cache here wherever it is hiding.
Too tired to look too long, especially after hitting head on branch with sunglasses on top.
on our way from Te Anau to Queenstown. A really lovely family is living there...
My sisters kids would have loved this. Thought I had to turn everything over. Still worth more than 1 diff star. TFTC
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We are currently on holiday in Southland, visiting from Auckland, together with HOLE-IN-ONE2, who is visiting from the UK. Today we drove from Queenstown to Invercargill, picking up some caches along the way. A nice quick find here and a neat little spot! Thanks for the cache!

Visiting phasevisitor from the UK. Driving to Invercargill today and hopefully picking up a few cache along the way. What a nice little spot will add to fav. I liked the idea there was even a road sign in the village to the site.

Enjoyed visiting Peter and his friends today. Signed the correct log, and read a few of the younger muggle logs in Peter's book too. Thanks for pointing this spot out to us.
Very nice. In the first spot I checked. Thanks for bringing me to this location. This is what geocaching is all about.
Thanks for placing this cache!
Thanks for placing this cache!
The search here was taking a while until we decided on the likely container and then it was quickly found..
Spend a lot of time running around the tree but we made it after a while also writhe a message at Peter Rabbit

I love these places that capture people's imaginations and take on a life of their own. It looks like this one knew the joys of caching before geocaching. A magic little find, I can imagine how important it is to some families who travel this road regularly, and it's a great picnic stop too. We just looked up "nearest" while eating ours in the park, then strolled up to find it.(took a bit of hunting) Thanks.
