Measured the required 250mm and looked all around but no sign of the cache for us today
we looked for ages in the rain for this one but either it was too well hidden or it just was not there...loved the walkway though.
Popped over to the shore for an hour this evening with the Future Finder to fill up another month on the calendar matix. Nice quick find, thanks to the clever hint. Great job on the camo with this one! I'm used to seeing this stuff in a completly different context. Cheers for the cache placement!
Now this is a cache worth walking the extra steps for! I hadn't taken any notice of who the cache owner was until after i found it and once I had, I recognised his handy work! Fantastic camo job Glyn, it works really well. A fav point from me for camo alone, very realistic. TFTC
After finding the other cache down the trail, made my way over to this one.
Had been here once before when it was missing, but had no luck. Initially started looking in the old spot, and then realised there was a new hint... but I sitll looked for the sort of hide that had been there before. With no luck.
Then tried to look even from a birds eye view - freaked out on the way up that I'd sprain an ankle or something, and that would really stuff me up! But I was that desperate to get the cache! Haha.
Well, I don't want to give the hide away, so all I'll say is, when I finally found it, I was very annoyed at myself!! I really should have just braved up, and thought it was the cache the first time round...
TFTC!!

Cool little hide this one - without the clue I would have been stumped (pun intended). Favorite point awarded for original camo!
Working locally, so went to find this one after work. Couldn't find it at first camo just too good, so used clue and there it was right there all the time. (Marvelous camo Glyn) Gets a favourite from me.
Well that one didnt last long and that camo was as good as the first one, will redo, even know what to replace it withe and where, but will wait a while in case some idiot is watching from somewhere, or someone else likes my caches--to take.
This one really has us stumped! Have tride twice now - no luck Must be REALLY well camouflaged.
Wish I'd taken the hint more literally before scrambling up that hill! Awesome camo though!
First of three finds today in Takapuna after a day working locally. This one took a little time to find and I searched up and low before noticing the mismatch. It was then a simple task.

After looking at a daunting GZ, nice to find the cache after about 5 mins. Nice hide. No log paper inside so left a signed scrap of paper. TFTC.
Found the cache with my dad and brothers, but it had no log in it. Instead of signing any log we signed the white tube. That one took us a good 20 minutes to find. TFTC
Three of us spent a good 20 minutes scouring this log, the stump, and under the boardwalk, to no avail. I hope it's still there.
Searched for this one for a good half hour, but it fully eluded me!
Camo must be too skills for me Was super disappointed, and didn't want to give up, but in the end I had to

As always, a really good camo job, we found the cache away from its hiding spot though, put it back in place after Geomatt123 called the owner, TFTC
Out with Team Friwi - cache was waiting for us on the side of the path! Quick call to cache owner for correct placement. TFTC.
Cool camo!

Found with Biggles while caching in the area. You must spend ages crafty these and then I think about how many such caches you've hidden - wow! Thanks once again.
Found on day 3 of a 3 day Auckland cache raid with Kiwi Explorer. Not in the first place we looked but not a long search to find it. Nice camo indeed. TFTC, Biggles.
Parked by your cache while driving the Team Y-Cacho's Auckland cache raid 24 hour mission
Many thanks for your cache, plan to be back soon with Butterfly_Lady

Unfortunately Mantequillin and I couldn't find this one. GPS went haywire. Mozzies kept attacking at in all directions. And it was getting dark. We shall return!!
Got it. Think it'd fallen or rolled from where it should be. We cammoed it sufficiently but may need some maintenance tftc
Was 3 ft according to the GPS when something caught the eye, YES found it, wraped in plastic and covered by leaves under the large log it must be the cache. What NO! Someone else has a new idea on caching, at least it wasn't illegal. Found a stash of 4 imported beers (not drunk) plus a half smoked packet of cigarettes and a lighter. Guess someone has a different type of stash ready to have a cold / warm one after finding the real cache.

11.45am. Searched all round before finally spotting it. Another great Glyn camo job.
Thank you. David
Thank you. David
We were staying just nearby, so we walked to this cache after going to the supermarket for our supplies. It was getting quite late (read: pitch black!) and there is a slight shortage of light around the area, but we had our torches.
Must have been a great tree in its time, but is now very useful as a cache home.
Nice walk around the track.
Thanks, Robmc.

We were staying nearby so ventured out after dark on a slippery path down to GZ.
Our first night in NZ and not sure what the local cache hides were like.
It this is anything to go by we are in for a treat.
Thanks G-2

Loved the camo here! Like a previous finder the clue didn't make sense but lots of fresh paint around may be obscuring? return2nai had it in his hot little hand swiftly and we hot footed it outta there. TFTC.
Good grief, what a mug (gle) Embarassed to log on as unsure how many times I've strolled past the Log oblivious to the cache that lives there. how did I miss this listing? *shrugs*
Great camo and could only just see it and was a challenge to reach.
TFTC!

FANTASTIC CAMO-HARDEST PART WAS THE RETRIEVAL & THE REPLACEMENT-PENGUIN STILL IN RESIDENCE-THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT CACHE.
Nice hide! Love the camo. No bug. But now a penguin! TFTC
Returned today 25/4/10 to show husband great camo and came across Georick! Nice to meet you! However 4yo kid wanted her penguin back so replaced with Baby dinosaur "I'm the baby gotta love me!" Will have to find another home for penguin.

This log is older than the log here under (excuse the pun), because when we found it there was no penguin. Thanks anyway. Another good one, Glyn, thanks.
Awesome camo. Been wanting to explore this track as we see it when we drive by so pleasant to visit oin our geo walk around Lake Pupuke. Thanks for bringing us here. Travelling Fly TB in , nil out. TFTC
took some friends on a walk to find this one (we've done so before), the council anti-graffiti group must have been here recently and painted over all the words on the log, no problem with the cache though.
Haha, got the clue straight away. Really enjoyed the container too!
Cheers,
Blarghster.

Decided to phone the owner to check on whether the cache was in place or not as a likely hidey-hole had been muggled. The cache was still in place.
Cheers for the cache.

XC works just across the road from this cache...! I didn't know how far the walkway went up but thought I had better go check this lunch time... Nice spot for a cache and of course masterly camo from the master. Found and retrieved easily...

Not a cache for small people like 3rd M-B!! Just Floundering helped. Popped in Mary the Chicken and took out the Jeep TB.
3.25pm. Found with the help of the third member of the Monkey-business team though in this case it was necessary for me to be along as M-B was not tall enough. As everyone has said - a great camo job - up to your usual high standard Glyn!!

Out with Helefant for the afternoon. This one actually took us quite a while. Helefant being more agile was sent to climb and clamber. Still no success, pondered the situation from the path. Suggested something and even though we had found it, took us a moment to realise we actually had. Clever camo. SL. TNLN. TFTC.
As Darby & Joans says, took a wee while to find and even had in hand and was thinking this isn't it but with a bit of engerneering I could turn it into a cache. Then I looked at other end and realised I'd been beaten to it - it was already a cache. TNLNSL TFTC
Took far longer than it should have, I think the camo jobs are getting much better these days. TFTC
Yet another brilliant piece of cammo. I think I need some lessons?? The clue only made sense when we got to GZ. TFTC
Nice morning walk and a quick find.
Awesome camo.
Had to avoid a few muggles before putting the cache back.
Took TB.
