The tree it's supposed to be in has been cut down. No cache to be found. Oh dear
Out and about in sunny Toowoomba today with jimmyproject, membsec, BC, and IolantheK doing a spot of caching after attending the A "Toowoomba Catch Up." the previous night. After a sumptuous breaky at "The Pump @ 123" (highly recommend [^]) we made a start, did a few caches and fair-welled membsec and BC.
Down the range and up towards Murphys Creek and up the range again and into the Highfields cache area.
Arrived at GZ and searched and searched, even with lots of experience and eyes the cache wasn't to be found
We then continued a-caching [^]

Out and about with T-Tech and jimmyproject on the day after Brother Colin's Event in Toowoomba
We got to GZ okay, and thoroughly searched the obvious area, then widended our search considerably, but even with four sets of eyes, we couldn't make the find

Borneo????? ok still very interesting, after I realised it wasn't the telstra towers LOL
Found by the youngest member of the team - great spot. Cache in good condition.
All of a sudden, feels like the middle of no where. Climb the mini hill (i.e. side of road) and you'll get there
Was here for one thing to locate the cache. Didn't take long & the cache was in hand. Parking was very tight but no muggles to be seen.

found with green fr0g - was a little disappointed we didn't see any men in uniform!
sad the the men in green didn't come to talk to us but had fun trying to catch their attention
1610 GAFF1 Thought it would be quiet find, but a couple of drive-by muggles were left wondering what was so interesting there. Hopefully the dead wallaby down the road will be gone by the time the next cachers come through - pheeew.
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
We headed around the back of the barracks today, and spotted the cache very quickly

Up on the range visiting GeoMum for Xmas
Another morning out grabbing a few caches as well.
No patrols on that side of the fence and no muggles on this side I should survive. Soon had the cache in hand.
Great Hide and cache is in good condition.

11am. More Cobbler seed in my slacks. Took teeny yellow bird left toy coin and superman tattoo. Tftc.
Our 3rd find of the morning caching in the area. We have never been to this side of the facility before. Quick find. TFTC.
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Her Majesty at 10:30am. The cache was found easily but we had to stop right in the middle of the road with the van on the back; luckily no traffic. TFTC

Found this one fairly easily(for a change). Nice saturday afternoon grab while we travelled past. Some interesting dirt roads out the back there. Thanks for getting the caches back up and running rozuz.
Took nothing, left an army man

Decided to give this one a go with 2 Shadows & geomum. Wasn't sure if we would find anything but we soon had the cache in hand. As we were signing the log we noticed that we weren't the only mad cachers to attempt disabled caches [:o] Fangsoki had been here earlier in the day . Cache is dry and in good order. Not sure why it's disabled? Anyway, TFTC!!

Sorry to the last few Geocacher's that have been to this 'Disabled' listing. It looked like I was to be relocating, hence I disabled the cache's in the area. This did not eventuate & I thought I'd enabled the caches.... but alas, I hadn't. If moving in the future, I now have a contact of a wonderful cacher who is happy to adopt
We decided to try our luck at this one and it payed of. The condition of the cache is fine don't understand why it is archived. TFTC.
Well its still gettable - so I will be getting it! I made my to GZ. Thankfuly not a sausage was to be seen over the other side of the fence. I signed the log quickly like and made off. The cache is in good condition. TFTC rozuz
Found this one on the backside of the Borneo Barracks.

Thought I'd better visit this one as it is only out the back of work. Great cache, thought it may have been destroyed from the grader that had gone through. Signed log.
Nice find, tried to rehire a bit better while dodging the ants! Dropped Mr Clickety TB. Tftc!!
Toowoomba 10.9. A few easy dirst roads and a back track that Tomtom thought connected but did not and a nice easy find near the road. Thanks.

Found it easily. good one to start with the kids as no one about at all and so don't need to be real sneaky.
As I drove around the deserted back roads I wondered if the military could pickup any tell tale signals from my GPS ?
I hoped that it really was a passive device and wasn't giving out any detectable frequencies.
Out the back of Cabarla I was alone by the side of the road and quickly headed for the fence to find the cache.
An easy find and I got outa there before anyone with any intelligence came along
The patrols obviously don't look too hard at what's on the other side of the fence
TFTC in a secretive place.

We forgot to do this one the other day when we nipped out to Highfields to do some caches. Not a lot of space to park a motorhome but also not a lot of traffic SL TNLN TFTC
The first of many dirt roads we travelled along today as we explored Tooowoomba's surrounds. Thankfully a nice quick find before anyone could spot me suspiciously loitering around a military base. TFTC
Another fast find, I was in the area for about an hour while waiting for a parts order to be assembled, so I managed to nab three quivk caches in the 50 minutes that I had to use up.
When I first approached near GZ I was at first getting the message that the cache might be located on the other side of the security fence as I only 11 meters freom the fence and I was getting informed that the cache was 22 meters away with a 4 meter error, but I was releived when I looked at the mag compas to find that the bearing to the cache was a bit farther along the fence line than the reciever was telling me. As soon as I got to GZ there was only one place to look up at and the cache was mine.
Took GC, and Left one in its place.

Found this one despite the compass going beserk. Wouldn't want to have to explain to the guards what we were doing. TFTC
Checked out the dirt road and all good and dry. Only problem was where to park, or turn around. Apart from that, cache was quickly located and signed. Left a geocoin for another cacher to find. TFTH.
The Withcott Pub Lunch gave me the impetus to got out there caching again, on the way home, I wheeled the Roaring Ford onto the freshly graded dirt road and found out just how much I have stiffened up the suspension in the old girl for nice smooth race circuits. After a short dash and a few turns and a slight wish I had a kidney belt on the Nuvi said I was close. Pulled over into a nice spot and waited for the GPS60 to find a few satelittes. and waited, and waited. Eventually after a couple of full resets with it still trying to find an 'eye in the sky' I resorting to my backup plan, the GPS in the Blackberry phone which aquired my location straight away, a bit of a stroll back along the road soon had the needle pointed to a likely location but not the right one. Soon found the right place and filled in the log.
The log is nice and dry and the container is in good nick even after the recent wet we have had out this way.
The GPS60 didn't aquire any sattelites for nearly 10 minutes after I had left the GZ, so lesson learnt, don't store it for over 2 months with the batteries out and expect it to burst into action as you pull up at the general locaton.

Battling nerves and bull ants, successfully retrieved this cache and then reminisced about the times I spent at these barracks while a Reservist years ago. TFTC ='.'=
Hot and dry out there at 10 o'clock this morning. Easy find. We covered it up a bit. Watch out for the meat ants - one nipped me on the heel. TNLN TFTC
Followed the foot prints of Youngoldfella who was here earlier this morning . not a sole around until I got back to the car, then about 5 other cars went past.

Nice quick find this morning. Felt a little exposed standing so close to the boundary fence, but no security types arrived while I was there. TFTC, TNLNSL.
You didn't honestly think that I was going to watch Packed to the Rafters when a new cache pops up so close to home did you??? I hate that show... The dodgy naration and the corny guitar music... I digress. Quickly chucked the Geokid in the Geocruiser and dashed off. A quick find as I didn't like the idea of snooping around a Defence establishment with a torch for too long.
Just be aware, the perimeter fence is patrolled. The location of the cache shouldn't be an issue, but if you happen to be there and they come along, be prepared to explain yourself.
11 minutes between receipt of notification of new cache and having the cache in hand... A new record for us.
Thanks for the cahce rozuz, and another FTF for the OffroadCruisers.

Well done again OffroadCruisers!! 11 mins would have to be a record in many geo-books.
Keep you're eyes out, I'm planning on another one even closer to home
