Big day out up on Mt Donna Buang scooping up the more remote caches. This was the fourth of the day, and relatively quick find. This track was awesome in that was literally no one else around!! Plenty of time to bash around in the undergrowth without trying to look not suspicious!! TFTC.

Just passing, was 1/3rd full of water and exposed. I drained it and repositioned it slightly to a drier spot. Regards from Victourer

Dad made real hard work of this cache.

We started from the summit with a plan to sight the Summit Up’s that we haven’t got to on our way to replacing a mystery, but had no luck in our first visit. Eventually moved on, reading old logs as we continued and trying to work out what was meant. And then on our return trip we struggled again, partly because the leeches were unrelenting and partly because Dad insisted on looking in all the wrong places.

Eventually the iPhone settled on a slightly different GZ, moved up the hill to the other feature that matched the hint, and the cache was boldly looking at us! Face-palm moment at how we missed this for so long.

A few more leeches (17 in total for the day) were extracted while we allowed the logbook to dry a little, and then we replaced with slightly better camouflage. Thanks heaps for bringing us to a beautiful part of the world.

Great track and good find

31-Oct-21
With a whole Cup weekend of geocaching planned, we headed out to the wilds of Mt DB. The plan was to get some bush walking done well off grid. Found cache after some keen spotting. What a great part of the mountain too. Loved the trail leading up to the "peak". Well worth the effort. Given a fav point for all these series.

Thanks thanks high pressure. Continuing my mount Victoria summit loop walk the sun is out and I'm up to the stage contemplating whether to take my jumper off. The logbook he's a little damp but still quite usable. Regards from Vic

The three hides I found along this trail were all very nicely thought out. Enjoyed finding them all on the way up the mountain

On a Mild Summers day," a party of 5 started this grueling sweaty walk up from Warburton. I was the only geocacher. this track is known to be a training hill for the Kokoda Trail in PNG.
To get some caches was a bonus. We were a party of 5 then 3 as one member found the hills too risky for his health condition. 2 went back down and met us up at the summit as they drove up to meet us.
On the final approach, there were 2 more caches to find. Compared to the initial climb, this section was a cinch! . GZ was well defined and an easy find followed. A little more camouflage and I rehid the cache - looking forward to lunch at the top.

14-Jan-21
just as i was tucking the cache away a man came charging down from the mountaintop
he was adorned with an old akubra, shorts and a thick white santa-esque beard and held two thin sticks out in from of him like the leads of invisible dogs
he beckoned down the hill: “is this the way to mount victoria"
he looked seventy+ but spry and fit as a fiddle
the sticks are for snake protection, he explained. not necessarily to fight them off but more to startle them into slithering off into the undergrowth
after some small talk he bounded off down the mountain
and i headed back up

Nice & Easy! Was exposed so covered it a bit. TFTC!

Found it on second try. not bush bashing required. although we learned the hard way

16-Feb-20
Caching with Day1976, I was searching a bit further down the track when day1976 yelled out he found it.

16-Feb-20
A great day out today. Some stunning hikes. A really beautiful part of the bush and was happy spending it with ilukaperi, even if she is dragging her feet a bit on the finding of the caches bit. Today it was me finding all the caches, I think she has lost her mojo.

Spent a bit more time hunting around for this one. Not sure why because when I spotted it, it was out in the open. The item it as hidden in has appeared to rotted through. Replaced with some camo.

This was buried pretty deep under bark, but still there, only a tiny bit damp. Thanks for a nice walk and the cache.

07-Jul-18
With a fmily trip to the snow planned it was nice to pick up a few caches too. We had been looking at the forecast for snow and the chances were good so we left early to make our way up the mountain and as we drove up saw sone cars with snow on them. We were over the moon that we would get to have some snow play today. The walk here was not easy at all, needed snow shoes for this one. Steep, wet, slippery and cold. After the other cache I was too close not to find this one too. I didn't think I would find this one but thanks for the hint again I was able to make a find here and finding this one buried a long way down

**Thanks to Hi Pressure for placing this cache for us to find and enjoy and to those who now maintain it**

About a year ago the plan had been to go caching and walking in the area and I had downloaded a heap of caches to the GPS. That ended up not happening due to a flat car battery! Fast forward 12 months and I was here for the first time. I was pleasantly suprised to see these caches were still here. I was grateful for the hint ad my GPs had me pointing in another direction! TFTC!

Today was a perfect day to go out to the hillsides of the Warburton area and help 88andy88 do some maintenance and find some awesome caches with some awesome bush scenic views and just get away from the hustle and bustle of life.
So here we are.
Final one for this series tonight.
Was a quick find but a muddy and scarey one at that at night.
Have had a ball today and loving the area's this game has taken us too.

11/6/17 6:08 pm #2382 Taking a meander in the hills today with RoxyP hunting a few different caches and performing some maintenance while at it.
This was the last for the night and after the scare of my life on the last one we continued down the track which was quite well marked at this point.
Well i thought i was going the right way and following my maps on thr phone when suddenly my icon jumped to another trail and put us 300m downhill and on the wrong trail.
Damnit i yelled(well actually profanities spoken again with some volume).
Trudged back up 300meters to the intersection and took the other path.
Hmmm.... what path.... at night could only very just make out this tiny almost rabbit track that had about 3inches of mud the whole way.
I thought we must be crazy doing this stuff and all for smilies ohh and maintenance of course.
Finally got to the GZ and i think although this was in the worst spot for the day was the best condition cache.
Hidden well and dry as a dead dingo's donger.
Yaaaaay we said and then the return trip was thought about......
Sheeeeeet that is a lot of uphill and alot of hard breath this end of the day.
The track was a nightmare to find on the way back until we hit the junction we turned off and then it was just a hard slog back to the car.
An awesome fun day had by us both and now to hit the geo car and head home for a well deserved red wine .
Thanks for the amazing adventures

On a walk with friends in the early hours from the carpark to the top of Donna Buang. This was the first cache and it didn't take too long to locate and sign. Lovely spot for a cache. Thanks Cache Guardians.

Hiking with Martin from Team Justice and another friend. Lovely trail and area. Shame about the leeches!! Little blood suckers got more than their fair share from me - must wear gaiters next time. TFTC!

06-Aug-16
"May as well visit the next one too," I thought to myself as I got further downhill from the car park. Much muddier here but the cache was found without any problems. Also very quiet at this point a little more distant from the summit. Although I was one of a surprising number of walkers on the track after 4pm mid-winter. Thanks hi pressure and Cache Guardians!

30-Apr-16
Came down from the car park to this spot, signed the log, then returned to the car park. This trail is a bit busier, I guess there's a few people walking around on Donna Buang, moreso on the well looked after trails.

While staying at milgrove for the long weekend with friends we took the opportunity to head fro the hills. The area freshen fallen snow and we had very changeable weather conditions to manage. We enjoyed the very fresh and now completely sodden we are looking forward to a nice hot shower. Thanks for the cache

07-Jun-15
Found at 10:51 AM GAFF5 in the company of xambo4u.
Now that we found the proper track we thought we were going to be on an easy route to the caches - however we were badly mistaken. The track was really muddy and our trousers were a sodden mess.
Got to GZ and once again we got the merry-go-round treatment until we went back to the starting position to have a better look [B)]
Thanks hi pressure.

20-Jan-15
Found it. Great day for a hike!

Amazing how few people come walking here... After almost 2 months not discovered, I can confirm it is still there! TFTC and greetings from Belgium!

Another find on the way to the summit TFTC

20-Sep-14
I wasn't really looking for this one at the time I found it by accident, lucky break I guess. Looking in the right place at the right spot, at the end of the day, a cache is a cache. TFTC - Docadoo. I gave it a little more cover so it wasn't so obvious from the track.

I'm not making excuses but....... See pic

Woohoo! Found it!!!

18-Mar-14
On this beautiful walk this will do as my favourite. Was still following my GPS when I saw this out of the side of my eye. Was really hidden so glad it was still there. I like finding hippos in the bush. Ha ha.

Find #842

I teamed up with my caching partner Stemicmitsar and headed out in search of unloved caches. Mt Donna Buang and it's environs contained many suitable caches.
Having found "Nearly to Summit Up" we proceeded downhill and grabbed this one too. Some unloved days to be had here and another square on my D/T grid filled. SL TFTC

09-Jan-14
Found @ 5:46pm, find # 2884.
Today I was out and about with Biggles1024 and the main aim was to boost up the numbers of unloved days from the unloved caches.
This one was unloved so we continued down the track from Nearly To Summit Up, it was a nice pleasant walk along this track and then we reached GZ, shortly after the log was signed, the unloved days were gathered and we were off to the next one.
Thanks to hi pressure for placing this cache.

This cache greeted us at the gz so after signing the log we hid it a bit better, TFTC hi pressure.

25-Apr-13
This one was fairly obvious, as we could see it clearly from the track. So we rehid it with more camouflage. Thanks for a great walk along this bush track and the cache.

Our second find, very hot day and track was quite overgrown. Took nothing and left nothing. TFTC It was great to find it, but again the blowflies were biting so bad that we had to keep walking fast. Smile

2nd find of the day, and 3174th total find at 12:17:00 PM.

We decided to do this series starting from the top, as we thought this would be the easier direction.

Freed the TB from the cache. We thought it may be trapped in here for quite some time.

Took: Nothing
Left: Screwdriver
Thanks hi pressure for the cache

cache.
Last one for the day, great place for a walk. Arrived at GZ and found cache quite quickly, walked a bit down the track, sat on a log to sign the book. My leg was itchy, I looked down and realised I had 4 leeches crawling up my leg,

In my leech fueled panic, I forgot to put something into the cache to replace the bottle opener keyring I took out.

I will make a point of putting something back in there next time I am there.

Took Bottle opener, left nothing

Thanks for the cache

Found this one today, I couldn't believe my eyes when I removed the lid. I was wishing I had something of reasonable value but alas not.... So, took nothing. It did take me a while to find as it had been relocated slightly and I must confess that it was a stroke of luck that my head was in the right place to catch a glimpse off in the distance.
A great environment for a hunt. Thanks again.
Two down two to go in this series.

I hadn't read the previous log prior to setting out today, so I wasn't forewarned of possible troubles here. On arriving at GZ, I quickly scoped out the most likely spot consistent with the GPSr and the clue, but only came up with a couple of balloons lying in the undergrowth (examples of which I spotted in some of the other caches along this track) - which lead me to think that the cache had been muggled and I didn't waste time checking elsewhere. It's curious how such a remote cache could draw muggle attention, but that log along the edge of the path is just about the only spot along that track where you can comfortably take a seat or rest your foot while you retie your bootlaces (which I needed to do a few time this arvo), so I guess a few walkers might sit right there and might just notice a container tucked in under the log. Anyway, having since seen the log by sroe, I think it's safe to assume that the cache is gone - I find it hard to believe that a cacher would just leave it sitting in plain view like that, even if they weren't sure where it had come from!

Thanks anyway hi pressure - sorry I didn't have a spare container with me to save you a walk.

31-May-10
Stumbled across this one whilst out for a walk. Didn't have my GPS so can't be sure if it's "More to sumit up" or Sumit up cache" From the hint of the location I think it's "More to sumit up"
It was on top of a fallen tree trunk right at the side of the path in plain view. The previous log in the book said that it was found by accident - I wonder if they found it behind the log but left it on top of the log to be found more easily.
Since I didn't know it's original location I left it on top of the log.
Certainly a nice unexpected surprise.

I really enjoyed this sequence of caches, just nicely breaking up the journey up the hill at just the right distances. This is a lovely walking track, and it was a glorious autumn day to be doing it. Thanks again, hi pressure.

Found at 14:04 with SamCarter. We enjoyed pausing our walk up to the summit to find your series of caches hi pressure. Thanks once again.

Another pleasant walk and another cache to find. A few other walkers on the track but none of them were in search of plastic.
Thanks Hi Pressure

More! The boy wants more?
The last of our summit walk. Thanks for the great series through this forest.
Thanks, Robmc.

I came up from the turntable carpark for this one as it was shorter in distance than continuing on from To Summit Up. The walk was a bit longer than I anticipated and a bit steeper at the start. Found fairly easily. TNLNTFTC.

We're hitting our stride and enjoying the spooky atmosphere of heavy fog/cloud and occasional drizzle.
Lots to see out here today.
Including leeches!
Miss zombiekitten had no idea these even lived outside of water! Very disturbing...

The cache was found without hassle though. Enjoyed the nice swag and left some goodies of our own before moving along the fantastic trail.

Found in the company of several cachers on a lovely day. It was good to be able to wander along enjoying the scenery, having a chat, while finding a cache or two. Thanks Hi Pressure

05-Dec-09
Found at 1530. After grabbing the first one along the trail, we moved on to the next. The weather was perfect and so was the company along the way. Coords were good considering the area, so it wasn't too long before the cache was in hand.

Thanks hi pressure.

FTF. After finding the first cache we headed down the track and were soon at the next point where the cache was soon in hand to the sound of many bird calls, this was a great time to be walking the track as most of the birds had begun there evening song. My thanks to hi pressure for the cache.

Well done acts2youthgroup on the FTF..
Must have just missed you on the mountain as I returned to put pens in the 3 caches.
Then I came home to edit the 3 cache pages.
Wish I had organized another car, because I walked from the bottom of the track to the top.
The walk down was much easier than the walk up.
