Logs
On a quiet Wednesday night, gridge98 and I decided to spend a night geocaching around Port Adelaide and West Lakes. There were some new caches visited, as well as some clever ones that we enjoyed. We also managed to stop and complete a few caches along Port Road.
As previous logs have noted, the whole area has been cleared and GZ is behind fence. However even then, the area around GZ has been demolished and flattened. Suggest the CO disable and review area to ascertain if this cache can be relocated, or otherwise learn what will be happening with the structures and restoration.

This one has been on my list for years ..... finally got here when all was quiet and we had the means to reach the prize!!! Found with clare007 and hevwalker!!
After a great event down on the lake battling for the black flag of Captain BlueBeard the Pirate a motley group set sail into the night for further treasures. After having coffee and Tim Tams near A (but not THE) Chain of Ponds, the clock ticked down to and past midnight but we weren't done yet.
Funnily enough the place was pretty deserted at 12.45 a.m. No games in progress and only one drunk muggle walking home. Still it took a fair amount of time to find the cache. I was looking for something...well smaller! [:o)]

Well well well. No muggles and a quick find. A wee bit wet. Logged and returned to its little spot. Good cache although im not so sure about how it survived winter...

Overcast day in school holidays and reached for the sky to find with Ayden my climber TNLNTFTC

Cache for the day required and was out of the office and in the area and on the correct side of the road. Have been a little frustrated lately as have been driving past on the wrong side of the road. So grabbed the opportunity to make the find with both hands. Drove to the area and parked nearby. Immediate problem. Muggle sitting in the car at GZ. And it didn't look like going anywhere soon. So surveyed the area for likely hides and came up with one while in stealth mode. Then wandered off to waste some time by finding another nearby cache. That done, wandered back and muggle still there so back to stealth mode. Thankfully she decided to hop out of the car and head off. Phew. Nobody round, so a quick explore and there was the cache. Opened up the cache and exracted a log opened and signed. As I was replacing the log I noticed another log which when opened was a replacement log. Hmmm. I signed the original. Should be a okay. Still plenty of room and nice and dry. Still nobody around so replaced the cache in the hide. Just as muggle came back to her car. Phew. Finally got these two smileys. Back to the office.

Never been a fan of this Stadium but it's undeniable that it has been the home of some of South Australia's most important football moments, as well as the sight of many crushing victories by the mighty Geelong Cats.
Thanks for the hide.

Day Thirty Two of our holiday - the first day of April, BettyBoo3747 and I are still at Semaphore in Adelaide.(But not for much longer!)
Today we just bummed around the Port collecting a few puzzles and some trads.
The morning was spent in the car, and the afternoon on the deadly treadlies.
A bit of a desolate place today, not even a cache to find for us!
Thanks, Robmc.

DNF. Day 32 of our SA holiday. March is over and here we are with April Fool's Day already and that means we are due to leave for home on Monday. Sad at the thought of it but looking forward to getting home.
With some rain this morning and grey skies we hopped in the geo-chariot and headed to the areas around Port Adelaide and Garden Island. This afternoon we got the bicycles out and headed out to gather up some more puzzles and traditionals. I seem to have finished the day with 25 smilies and 4 DNF's.
There didn't seem to be anywhere to hide a cache of size. It seems to be bigger these days from logs we have read. Spent quite some time searching but had to admit defeat and move along. DNF.

Found in the dark, after dinner at a nearby restaurant.
This one had me climbing to new heights, and was an easy find.
No muggles to have to contend with, besides those driving past in their car.
Sad to see this stadium become Obselete, but nice to see the historical club posters and logos still plastered around the stadium. Go the Crows.
Left skateboard (can't be ridden on though :p) and parachuting man, with unopened package.
There is room for very small swaps, cache container appears to have changed since the first publishing. Container appears to now be small round cylindrical one, with decent amount of space. Maybe the cache description needs editing. Log is dry, and still space for more logs.
Thanks for taking me to a brilliant location, even if that was in the dark.

Not a Crow fan but a fan of finding caches for sure Took a 'Speccy' and a 'Great Grab' to nab the booty like the great Tony Modra and SL at 15:10 on Sunday 7 Aug. 2016, no crowd saw me do it though [v]. Cache and contents are good. I left a plastic zip-lock bag for the log book, just in case it "Rains" goals TFTC ACME_Caching
Thanks for this one! As others stated, easy once we figured it out! New log isn't wet... Yet...
Stayed at a hotel close to the shopping centre. Went for a walk after dinner around the oval to find this cache TFTH TFTC
I have been here before looking for a cache
The area has changed, I think !!
There were more places to search last time.
This time there were less ... but the same result.
Nothing to Crow about ... a DNF !! [:o]

Thanks for the cache ACME Caching. Found this one a while back signed the book but unfortunately did not log at the time, came back for a second time as we were staying in the resort nearby new exactly where it was and was about to resign when the container moved a bit out of reach, not wanting to draw attention from the workers nearby and compromise the hide decided not to resign, might need to keep an eye on this one as the cyclone fencing is right up against the camo
I apologise for the late log... Problems with GSAK and crashed computer...

After 20 minutes we finally found the blighter. A pogo stick would have been really handy for this one. TFTC
Found it eventually. Sat lock was a bit difficult but the tenacity of Tomboy 711 paid off.
Fortunately special equipment was not needed by us but we are getting a little old for these hides TFTC
Sneaky little bugga!

Daughter had a closer look and it was found!

After attending an early morning breakfast event, Ismartis joined a group that was tackling some difficult to get to caches that required specialist levitation skills.
She was very appreciative of those with special powers that made the day possible and for locus cache for the lift . Special mention also to Dr Owl and Froghoppin whose generosity helped her get home at the end of the day [^].
Sushilord showed his levitation prowess for this one.

Following the Vili's Meetup, the group headed out to do as many ladder caches as possible (not all required a ladder though). Quick find. TFTC.
Having grown up in the heart of Port Adelaide, I have always resisted going after this cache, though I did make an attempt about a year ago. I had always wanted to grab it after a Port Showdown win, but I've left my run too late since games aren't played here any more. Today the find was fairly quick, and as others have noted the containers lid was broken, but fortunately I had an exact copy in the car. We transferred the magnets and log book to the new container and replaced. TFTC ACME Caching!
After the breakfast event a convoy was created to tackle some of the Adelaide caches which required special equipment. Sushilord retrieved the cache while waiting for the rest of the convoy to arrive. Seems special equipment is not needed if you have someone tall to do the work for you. This is much easier now that the place is deserted and there are no muggles around!
Found with Swing82. There's no lid and the location may be an issue if it rains..?
Lucky me ^^ Geo - boyfriend is tall and he manage to retrieved it, is getting hot in Adelaide and it give us a big smile (:

My last day in Adelaide saw me find the need to do a little bit of caching, so today's jaunt was up around the Westlakes/Woodville/Flinders Park area.
Wow. Now this was a tough one and it was only after reading a few of the previous logs that I managed to work out where this was. I can definitely not recommend it during game day
As has been previously commented, the lid on this one is missing too.

Had to wait until the crows left football park (or have they??) before attempting this one.

I've been to Football Park to see the Crows when this cache was in place, but those occasions were not suitable to search for this cache. Today I had droppedy my daughter at the Adelaide Oval for her part time job at the Power game, and had goal umpired locally. There were lots of parked cars here do I guess they were at Adelaide oval. Thanks for placing this cache.
Carn the Crows! Felt like a bit like a crow this evening, hopping around looking at everything inquisitively, and half expecting a security guard to come and throw rocks at me... With some technological assistance from The Marble and a narrowing of options, it was only a few minutes and a few acrobatics until we had the cache in hand. Logbook safe and dry, though the container's lid has become detached and as I'm currently travelling, I didn't have my usual stash of replacements with me, I'm afraid. Oh, and I absolutely, positively, could NOT imagine even considering that on game day!!!

La Kedi has a habit of choosing the wrong side or the wrong end of things when it comes to caching and today was no different so she was quite happy when I located the cache in its hidey hole as she could limit her calisthenics to just one place. I was soooo glad it was NOT a game day. Thanks ACME Caching
Visiting family and staying nearby to the stadium, so took the opportunity to locate the cache GZ and after a short search the cache was soon to hand. logged my visit on the new dry log sheet cache replaced as found.

No Problem
The container had some issues with attachment and being a "water log" instead of paper log. I re-adjusted the attachment devices, and added a waterproof log in a ziplock baggie. Cache is back in working condition for now.

Had a bit of a look, could not find it where GPS was point me too, looked a bit further afield, still no joy. Google earth points too a spot a little away from where I was looking so next time I'll look there.
