Awesome find, had a little difficulty at first but after using common sense and looking incredibly hard. I found it
Matagouri and I are enjoying a special weekend getaway in Wellington. Today was a much more pleasant day as far as the weather goes, so we enjoyed another day of caching and indulging in some delicious food and drinks!I don't normally do many multi's as they take too much time, but today was the perfect day to wander around picking up a plethora of the orange icon caches! What a beautiful day to enjoy a cache like this. There were so many muggles enjoying the area, but I had no issue's grabbing the cache Thanks for setting this up
I am down in Wellington for a conference for a few days. After finishing up at the conference for the day, I was able to attend an event and do some more caching this evening. This was my last stop for the day, before returning to my hotel. I had attempted this one two years ago when I was last down in Wellington and had visited all the waypoints. However, something went wrong as my calculated GZ was miles off. At the event I was able to get a nudge and set things straight. Keen to sign off on this one I made my way over to ground zero and got to searching. Took a little bit of searching in the dark (with cell phone torch light) but I soon had the goods in hand. Cheers for the multi cache placement!
Some pretty roses at rosehenge. I found the lettering a bit confusing to start (have some of the plaques moved?) but once I decided to just look at all the plaques in the locations on the diagram I managed to gather the necessary information and calculate the coordinates. A nice quick find at GZ. TFTC
Lovely day to smell the roses, fortunately muggles were sitting on benches we didn't need to inspect! TFTC
Had already done the wander and sums while sitting amongst the flowering autumn roses. Being a little under the weather decided to venture out for some fresh air late in the day - the hint made for a quick find. Mama duck and her fluff-ball babies were being feed and scurrying around people's legs. Tuis were happily doing their end of day chorus too. A lovely spot. TFTC
Out with hayden5olo, looks like a couple of bench plaques are missing but an educated guess from hayden5olo put us in the right spot!
Today is a multi dot-day. It is also a regular (size) dot-day. So I was all prepped for a trip to Whitby to claim a regular multi, but the phone went bing-a-ling with a host of new caches published on the south coast beyond Island Bay. TwigNZ and YetiNZ and the SeagnoidNZ decided to go for them. So after work I shot home for some different shoes and a torch and some snacks and water and a raincoat and a warm layer and caught Twig and we headed to the red rocks carpark where we met Yeti. Got our feet out and set off. Well, to make a very long story short we got back at 11:30pm, with 6 ftfs bagged and happy smiles and (the day after) tired legs. But its not over! We could not find one cache - the one cache that was a regular and there were no multis. Butr we do have half an hour left, so Twig and I came here so I could at least claim the multi, which we did with about 15 minutes to spare before midnight. So I lost the regular dot day, but that's okay, I am expecting this to be a multi year challenge anyway.Another multi dot-day ticked off, only 21 to go!And it's only because I had been in a long time ago to take a photo of every seat, so that this cache was pre-solved. It was a nice sunny day (and not midnight at all) when I walked around taking the photos. Not many flowers out then though.
Thanks to a heads up it seems some benches are being replaced so it will hopefully include replacing the original brass plaques.
A bee decided to have a rest on me as I wandered through the rosegarden, so I though I'd sit for a while so he wouldn't need to bother him. A good opportunity to do this multi that I'd been saving as it is close to home. But nooooooooooo! They are replacing the existing benches bearing the plaques. I was still able to gather most of the answers, and thereby predict the most likely spot for the final coordinates, and luckily I was right, and the cache was safely found and signed (although my pen was smudgy - don't you hate that). My advice is get in quick before all the clues are gone!
We stopped at the rose garden for lunch and wandered around checking all the different type of roses. TFTC
I took an evening wander from my accommodation to work off my dinner and get the day's step count up over 20,000 for the 3rd day in a row. It took me more than one good look at gz before I finally felt the small cache. No problem with the numbers. Looks like 2 more seats are being added in the rose garden. Thanks for the multi, bkj97. I enjoyed completing it.#10089
I headed to the Botanic Gardens this afternoon for a much needed walk and I did some caching along the way. I was glad I had this one saved on the device as it was a fun one to do! Spent a bit of time looking for one piece of information - it was in front of me the whole time! A quick find at GZ but was glad I had a tool to help extract the log. TFTC bkj97
New waterproof logsheet inserted today. If a subsequent finder has a pair of scissors it would be helpful to trim the sheet so it fits better The waterproof non tear paper can't be torn off and I had forgotten my scissors today.
Spent a night with the Karori West and Brooklyn Scout Troops. Most Patrols managed to find the cache. Log was to wet to sign. Thanks for the fun cache
On Tuesday it was a horrible weather day, but I attempted to cache in that weather. I blame that for me mixing up my birth and death year for one of my coordinates, leading to the DNF log below. On discussion with the CO I found my mistake, confirmed when I returned today. Given the new coordinates, I was able to locate the final and sign the log easily, after some poor attempts at drying it out. The log is very full now as well - I had to sign on the side.Tftc!
2 issues with the cache:- Seat B appears to no longer be in place, with instead a lot of caution tape where it sat- Despite this, Q is somewhat obvious, so I tried to find the cache with my solved coordinates. However, the cache was not there.Issue 1 might mean that I am wrong about Issue 2, but either way there is currently a problem with this cache.
Nice few hours spent in Botanic Gardens and of course some caches along the way Tftc
I'm visiting New Zealand for a tour around the country . First I spent 2 weeks in Auckland. Now I'm touring the North Island. While enjoying the sightseeing I also visit some caches. This is one of them. Thank you for showing me the place and thank you for the cache . Greetings from Switzerland .
It really must be lovely when all the roses bloom. It is to early for that, but I did like to wander around the rose garden anyway. At the final the container was easily found. Unfortunately the logbook is very wet and also very full.

Took a bit of walking back and forth gathering numbers but somewhat enjoyable.
My daughter had a rest while I did the gathering.
Almost quit because I couldn't find two names but persisted with Daughter who tried to find the missing two.
Eventually, both were found on the same plaque.
With the math completed and a short walk, the cache was ours.
The log was a bit damp but signable. However, the log is full and needs replacing.
Cheers.
Sleepy was here!

In town for the long weekend, and exploring the gardens with my muggle family. They loved the hothouse, and I loved the cache. A win win. Had me walking around in circle for a little bit trying to find my last answer haha. A nice easy multi that made the visit enjoyable despite not being rose season. TFTC
A wet and dreary day but the cache brighten it up. The log was full but I found a space. Thanks
We are on our long-awaited journey around the world in 99 days. Second try after canceling in 2020.
Our third stop after Los Angeles and Hawaii is New Zealand.
This time was of course used to find some geocaches here.
Today we were searching for the Multi **Rosehenge (Wellington)**
At the coordinates the needed answers where found very good and thank to the Hints and the good coordinates the little box was found quickly!
After signing the logbook there is a new smile on our geocaching map!
At least we would like to take this opportunity to thank bkj97 for creating and maintaining this Multi.
Greetings from Nuermberg/Germany

P.S. To save space in the logbooks, we not only enter in sequence, but also in empty spaces between.

Solved and found before the Wellington M&G the Dutch Event. Thanks bkj97 for this multi cache.
After a lift with the Cable Car we had a nice walk in the botanical garden. We found the answers around the fontain and the final was easy to find.

Impromptu visit to the botans, unfortunately sans pen. Hopefully this photo suffices!
Beautiful walk through the Botanic Gardens to Lady Norwood Rose Garden. Could smell the roses from some way off. Just starting to go over. Must be lovely sight when in full bloom. No issues collecting the required information and a nice quick find at GZ.
Well worthy of a favourite point

Yay!! First one for a long time. Took a while, kept getting distracted by looking at all the roses.
Between Pinnstef57 and I we solved the puzzle and then got the hidden prize. Tftmc.
Another stunning day in the capital (as if it ever isn't lol!) and another chance to get out and about in it to go hunting for caches. Wellington is still rich pickings for me, so one of the hardest choices to make is where to go?
This Multi has been sitting in my "solved" pile for more years than I care to mention. So it was satisfying to be able to finally engineer the opportunity to go look for it today.
Driving to GZ turned out to be a nightmare of different levels, one-way streets, roads that just end etc etc. I ended up parking about 120m away and walking the rest. But thankfully there were few people around as it was late afternoon by now, so I was able to make the find without much incident and then sit and relax whilst writing my name in the logsheet.
Thanks for bringing me here today.

Pouring with rain but so little time, so just got on with it. Great memorials to people. Co- ords sorted in the dry of the begonia house, cache found easily as per hint. TFTH and taking me there- I think!! Maybe the weather will be kind tomorrow.
Yay! Nice walk around at the end of the day. Missed one clue and had to do a loop - oops! Now just listening to the birds sing. Fabulous! Thanks!
I was at a loose and and needed to get out for a walk today. This was the perfect spot for a wander. My daughters have both found this cache a while back, so I’m pleased to add it to my list. Cheers!
A lovely day for brunch and a wander. Found with Squirrel in the Middle. Nearly got muggled by kids playing hide and seek chasing game! TFTC
As its been a while since I've treated myself to a caching Sunday, and it was such a nice day today, I decided to head out this afternoon and go and find some caches around town. This was one of them.
Having DNF'd the prequel cache some time ago (the issue has been rectified, I really must get back up there) I figured I should probably do this one while I was visiting the gardens today. Not to busy at Rosehenge this afternoon so no issues wandering around. I'm sure anyone watching would have wondered why I was sitting down on every bench, but hey - that's what they are for.
Calculated the final coordinates and made my way there for a relatively quick find. All safe and dry here, TFTC.

Online GPS coordinates seemed to keep changing - finally found a good site after I got home and tried on my laptop.

Gathered all the info ( missed the little bit of maths required but it was an obvious error) and then made my way to GZ. Pretty quiet today so was able to make an easy find with no muggles about. Visiting from Dunedin.
Thanks for the cache, bkj97

Spent time chasing out tails as gps changed coordinates on us. When it got dark and gave up, we once again checked the coordinates and noticed the changed digits. After resetting them, we went out again with torches on and located the cache with ease. Tftc
Solved the puzzle easily enough but the GPS changed our coordinates and we spent some time looking in the setting place. Back at the car we reviewed our coordinatesand found our error. With torches on as it was dark, we finally found the cache. Glad we didn't give up! TFTC.
Found with the help of my 7YO.
We patiently waited for muggles to move away from some seats and even had to have some brunch in the middle to wait for some of the longer visitors to move on. This is such a beautiful garden that we love to visit and 7YO enjoyed following the ducks. The short trip to GZ was also a highlight as we discovered a new area on the way that is a great spot to sit and contemplate all the things

Took a bit of searching to find even with hint but a lovely way to see the rose garden from a new perspective and properly note all the rose lovers immortalised in plaques. TFTC
Nice to have a walk around the rose garden with ReaderOutpost to find this cache. TFTC
The CO informed me I had found the old cache so I returned today (I was passing by) to see if I could find the new one. Yep - just as described in the hint at the same basic location several metres west of where the coords were pointing. I signed the new cache, removed the old container and attached photos of the old log. Since the new cache is verified to be there and in good condition the CO can consider this a maintenance visit can clear the NM flag.
I was a little hesitant to start a new bkj97 multi with so many still unfinished and DNFed. But this is one of the more "constrained" ones. It was pretty busy in the garden today and after doing the rounds there were two plaques I didn't see due to obscuration. But when I sat down to work through the numbers I lucked out as I had seen all the ones I needed. Some plausible coordinates resulted although when I got near the coords looked rather inaccessible. But as luck would have it I spotted the cache at the nearest I could get to my coords. Not sure if I made a calculation error or if the coords are off but anyway a find is a find. The log is totally full and I had to sign in a spot where there was space in someone else's spot. Thanks for bringing me to a place I hadn't been before (so that's where that road goes).
In need of a new log due to being full. A new container wouldn't go amiss as the present one is a bit of a rust bucket.
Revisting this cache which was my first multi find back in 2010.
Doing this in order to log a visit by Beezley the beekeeper TB which wants to visit the beautiful gardens and meadows of the world to count bumble bees. Didn't see any but I am sure they would have been around somewhere!
Cache is in good condition.

Loved the little walk around the gardens the other day. No roses blooming right now, but expect it to be spectacular in the future given how much work the gardeners are putting into this place right now. TFTC!
Lively day for solving the puzzle and finding the cache. As others have noted, container is missing a lid. Log ok for now to sign. Another favourite today.
After a long time searching we finally found it. One of the first cache’s we have done, eventually realised that the standard compass that comes on phones isn’t accurate at all. After using the one on the app we found it straight away.
Nice find! Beautiful day for geocaching! We had a lovely walk around the rose gardens. Absolutely wonderful! Try not to look too sus when you sit on every bench!! Thank you very much for this great cache!
Beautiful place to walk around collecting the clues - which we had to repeat as we missed a couple at first parsing. Good location of the final where muggles were not staring at us! TFTC!!
Checked today. The replacement container (magnetic bison tube type) is in the "right"place as placed last maintenance visit. Muggles interrupted check for rusty container which I'll remove when gz is quieter.
This was super fun today. TFTC. I really enjoyed my wander around the garden trying not to look to obvious, waiting out muggles and just enjoying the sunshine. I like GZ might dwell, and I hadn't stopped at the nearby peace flame before, that is beautiful.
looking back on this find, i think it would pay to change the cache container as the lid falls off easily.
considering wellington weather and the spot that this cache is located in, the chances of the container drying out after rain is very slim and could damage the log. thanks

really fun puzzle cache, container is very very rusted and the lid is on its last legs.

An incorrect answer had me looking in all the wrong places. Went back and checked, picked up my mistake, and made a fairly quick find. All good. Tftc!
Decoded what I believe to be the coordinates, and was led to a point half way between two nearby benches. I followed the hints but couldn't get a proper look as I had to make it stealthy, unfortunately couldn't feel it underneath either bench. I'll come back and try again another day
Realised after awkward searching around fountain, that we made a mistake copying the cordinates. Afterwards quick find in a less visited Place. TFTC
Only the second 'real' cache of the day and a nice ride up in the vcable car to the top thena continues 15km walked day to get the Thorndon lab caches. A nice use of the features here and soon calculated the final. Took the wrong route to start before retracing steps and pouncing oin the hide. T F T C bkj97
A trip over the the Northern Island is on the cards this week and a lot of family cactching-up to be done. We headed over on a cheaper flight on Saturday and spent the night locally before we met up with my Mum on a cruise into NZ from Brisbane. A day to catch up on the Sunday, and also meet up with our daughter and her partner. Then on Sunday evening up to SAuckland, collect a hire car and drive up to Ngunguru and meet up with our son, his partner and their family of our grandchildren. And still a little time to fit in some caching!

We arrived in the rose garden and were dismayed to see there were hundreds around and every bench was taken. We thought "what the heck, we'll go ahead and peer at the plaques anyway." Although there was music and more crowds in another area fortunately we were alone at GZ. Whew, log signed and returned safely. Interesting to note the last date the log had been signed was on 29.10.2019. I don't know what log the next 5 signed but it didn't seem to be this one.
Out and about with Flowerydaze and completed this one on the same day as a cruis-ship was in town and being Chinese new years were joined by 100's in the rose garden. But still not for the faint hearted we just looked at the plaques while they were still seated around, some even moved so we could see the whole plaque. Just to make matters worse there was a event going on at GZ also, still managed to sign log and return to its hiding place. TFTM.
Round the world trip Made it to New Zealand and will be traveling all around the Islands. Hello from Wellington! Will explore the city for three days before leaving to the southisland. Thanks for bringing up this cache!

Many thanks to my friend Tiptoez, who gave me the TB as a present and put it into this cache to start it's journey alongside Oceania, that I would like to visit some time in the future myself, but till that time I can travel the area virtually throgh this TB.
Thanks to everybody helping in that!

The log might need to be changed. Dropped off a newbie TB fresh out from Europe. Please make it travel to places & see the wonders Aotearoa has to offer!
Found on this beautiful day in Wellington. Before the found I took breakfast in the restaurant at the „rosehenge“, I really could recommend this.
