Big day today. Up early in Forth and ready for Parkrun. Trying to do all the mainland Tassie Parkruns so off to Wynyard to tackle theirs with 4 stretches on the beach. After PR we went for Brekkie at the Vault, cool place with great coffee and produce but not very imaginative in the breakfast stakes. Filled us up anyway. We then cached our way back to Forth. I did have a couple of dnf that were just too good for me, sadly too far to come back for as our time in Tassie comes to an end.We had forgotten how beautiful the coast is along here, amazing and once again lucky with more excellent weather. We had a long but rewarding day out. Thanks to all the CO for placing and maintaining caches for us to find. We found some great hides today. Nice little walk to get to this one. Only us and a beachcomber on the beach today. TFTC
Going for a drive from Burnie east along the coast road this afternoon as far as we can get before sunset, finding caches along the way. This is find #1 today. Ive gone past this area on the highway countless times before, but Ive never known about this lovely beach! Stayed here for a while it was so nice. TFTC
Tasmania Trip Day 4. My first full day in Tasmania was based out of Burnie. I did a few caches around own before it got too busy and then expanded the area to caches in the Burnie Region. Once I had done that for half the day, I headed a bit further west to get my next county. I enjoyed visiting Wynyard and the Table Cape area, even if it was fogged in. Did I say it was supposed to be a heat wave ? They are warning for one, but I got quite wet at times today. I headed back to Burnie for another quiet night trying to do some logging. After my last beach adventure, tis was a very pleasant short visit to the beach to find tis cache. Thanks for the cache 2y'stassies45838.9 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & July 2023 High Adventure A#529**Albida**
Thanks for the cache! Good spot to take the mini cachers for a dip in the water. And grab a cache on the way. Very peaceful beach don't think we seen another soul. Cache is in good condition. Log book signed and safely hidden away for the next cachers.
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Heading from Warrath to Burnie today where I am enjoying driving through this area and grabbing a few along the way. This was a nice area along the coast to enjoy. An easy enough find at GZ. Even grabbed some blackberries. Thanks 2y'stassies for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
A little wander down the track and over the beach and a super fast find at GZ. Left a couple of little swaps we had left in our pocket as we head home. TFTC Found with LittleBoo17
Found this one today whilst making our way to Devonport. The find was nice and quick. Cache is in good order. TFTC from the inspectorrexteam
Spending a few days in Tassie with EeePees and theres a few caches on LDavs while youre there list. An early morning drive to Burnie to pick up another LGA. A lovely walk along the beach and there cache was found without issue.Tftc 2y'stassies
A quick road trip with Davinells/J - Hobart to Penguin via the lakes etc - mostly to visit family - and targeting just a few select caches along the way. Stayed last night in Penguin.Up early before our hosts, so we ducked over here to grab this one, mostly for the LGA on Davs' list.A lovely morning walk along the beach, then back home - our hosts still in bed!Found quickly today with my visiting geoDaughter from Toowoomba . Thanks so much 2y'stassies, for keeping yet another robtas cache in the game.Cheers, EPs. 3720 - Monday 23rd October 2023@0740hrs
Some of the drift wood on these beaches is huge!! I’d hate to be down here when they got washed up.

Thanks for the cache.
I've been driving past a bunch of caches on the northwest coast for a number of years now, and this trip I was determined to stop and find a few of them.
Today I stopped here with the two GeoGSP's and we took a little stroll along this beach to GZ. The cache was a nice quick find.
Lovely little beach.

An easy find. On the way to the cache I went along the bush track and came across a man and his dog hanging around in his car.
This cache was located with KjStarr and Kristy Ann Souter once we were finished fishing at the heybridge end of the beach. As we approached GZ the likely hide was spotted and log was signed.
checked out the doorway into the tunnel underground nearby while here. TFTC

On a little spree to the west of home base today. Weather perfect for coastal caching compared to last week when we nearly got blown inland by the strong easterly winds !
Bumped along the track for a bit of a look then doubled back close to GZ. Followed advice about approach, and pleased to say we are the first in line for this Beach Revival. Thanks to 2y'stassies for taking over another robtas cache and keeping it inplay.

We found this cache back in 2010 and had not been back since. We adopted the cache in February this year following the passing of RobTas. So, when we went to look for the cache today we had no recollection of the hide. However, as soon as we were close to GZ the hide location came back. The cache was not obvious but we did locate it after searching down through the leaf litter - it was about 15cm deep and rather worse for wear. So we have provided a replacement cache in the same location but on the surface under a small pile of stones. So, already to go again. Additional information has been added to the cache description and hint.
Unless you want to get a dirty car, scratched body and waste some time I wouldn’t bother with this one. Not a fav at all for us.
I have driven past this cache many times and never stopped, today I ducked in and made the short walk along the beach, the cache was easily found as it’s not hidden at all.
Today was my last day in tassie for the time being, unknown when the next return will be but I assume it will be soonish. With some time to kill between lunch and the spirit of Tasmania departing. I decided I would head to burnie for an event and collect some caches along the way.
Overall 26 finds for the afternoon.
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the hide Robtas. Took away the old cache that was their and left the new container. Log book could do with a bag to keep it dry, very old looking.
Just looking through my caches around here and realised I found this one at least two years ago and forgot to log it. Oops!
Our first find for 2019. A nice beach walk with the geokids & an easy find for little ones.
A great spot for a stroll
But while the water quality might have improved,
the area still attracts some of Tasmania's dropkicks
Fortunately none present this morning,
and a quick couple of cache finds
I found the original cache first
Then nearby spied the 'replacement' cache [:o]
The original cache is in great nick [^]
The 'throw down' cache is soaked
I stacked them on top of each other

Of all the places to find a muggle today. Yep, right near GZ. As we walked towards GZ, she moved on with her two dogs. Lucky it was a quick find. When we got back to the car, she asked if we had found what we were looking for. Luckily, I had my camera. I held it up and said, yes we did, thanks. There are some beautiful dragonflies around here. (Unfortunately, they didn't stay still long enough to photograph, lol. ) Thanks for the cache and bringing us to this lovely, almost, secluded beach.
Stopped with VCL on the way home from Bunnings and found this one in the dark. Nice spot - tftc
Heading home from Burnie stopping along the way to find some caches, it was dark when Jawapro and I arrived here, but we went looking anyway. Managed to find it, was good fun! TFTC

Lovely sunny day grabbing this geo. watching the awesome waves while the partner sings the log
Quick find, track in was a bit wet and deep - thought the car was going to float.
good to read that the beach is reviving. but it wasn't good to see the amount of rubbish that some idiots leave behind there. might be a suitable place for a little cito... TFTC!
