Was out about 10mts away searching and looked back towards the track and spotted a good spot for a hide.checked it and yes all ok. TFTC
Took a while. Went back and read recent activity for more clues. Finally found it
Found it after reading the previous activity and broadening my search. Not sure the hint is too much help. TFTC.
TFTC. I was just about to pick up the cache when a baby brown slithered between me and the cache. Where there is a baby there is an adult. I backed back and didnt sign the log.
Nice, quick easy fine I’m not being in this area before from shepparton exploring around Lakes entrance and making our way across to Orbost
Took the scenic route to the trestle bridge and dropped in here on the way. This was way harder than it should be. Took about 15 min searching and needs a better hint. It isn't Camo and coords about 8m out. It's closer to the car park than the coords imply. Anyway I found it and it's a pleasant spot away from everything so thanks for bringing me here.
Found with Kploz after a day an Cabbage Tree working with the community. Took a detour to have a look at the trestle bridge in the way home and through we would grab this nearby cache.
Took us a while to find as the gps was sending us either side of the track and we were looking for a hide that would fit the hint…….unfortunately it wasn’t anything like the hint but it was a good hide regardless.
Spend some time at the weir watching a rat swim around before continuing on our way.
Thanks for bringing us here.

TFTC - In the area having looked at the trestle bridge with HeliKelli and located the cache after spending the day in Cabbage Tree Creek.
Took us a little while to find it as the gps was sending us everywhere.

First time ever caching for miss 3 & Mr 1 so thankyou very much for the cache. 1st of many for the juniors!!
Out and about on our holiday for our 40th wedding anniversary, with My GeoChauffer. This place is amazing to investigate. I don't think I would like to drink this water. I be very very thirsty or dying to drink it.
The cache was a little difficult to find. We did search for some time to find it, eventually found it not in the right spot. Thanks for bringing us to this location djcache I did enjoy it.
After much searching, we Found it, signed it, replaced it then onto the next one.

I don't know if it is my gps or just I'm bad at this but it's leading me into places to feel like I should go to should I be using the geocache navigation or use a gps and put in the coords but we will have anthor crack sometime else

Nope too early for sofa, but will have some water. A side trip to visit the trestle bridge.
Currently holidaying in Lakes Entrance and the weather overall has been pretty wet to say the least. After wandering around the shops this morning, we decided to head to Stony Creek Trestle Bridge this afternoon. After arriving at the Trestle Bridge, we noticed Costicks Weir and a cache were not too much further on so decided to keep going. After checking out the weir we headed to GZ. The GPS initially had us all over the place and the whole area was pretty wet after all the rains, but Mr. Pooky managed to make the find not too far off the track. TFTC and bringing us to this spot which we probably would not have ventured to had it not been for the cache. TNLN. We did stop at the Trestle Bridge on the way back.
Found this cache on our East Coast Trip Day 3 in company of Bazzars. We really enjoyed our trip out to both the Trestle Bridge and then the Weir. Thanks from D B-A
Found it! A drive to see the sights was on the cards today as inclement weather was predicted. A route was set for Nowa Nowa with brown signs targeted for points of interest. We stopped for views of the tallest trestle bridge ever seen in Victoria and the drive on for refreshing sodas! I made this a bit harder than needed but the GPSr was a bit all over the place but I soon made the find. No need for rock climbing or venturing too far off the path. I signed the log sheet and replaced it in it’s natural hiding place. TFTC SL
Filling another blank caching day in my calendar.
My gps was jumping about a bit and I wasted a bit of time looking in the wrong location. Retracing my steps I spotted a possible good hide and on further investigation had my hands on the cache. A little frustrated that I had initially walked straight past the cache but I will take the smiley.
Thanks djcache

Finally- after about separate visits to find this- the cache finally was found! There were 2 log books in there, so we signed both.
The river was quite swollen and noisy and really really smelly! TFTC

Finally found it after nearly calling it dnf. Was a tricky one in a really pretty spot and the bridge is amazing. Tftc
GPS had us jumping around but hubby finally found it. Log signed & on our way tftc
This turned out to be a fun one. Google Maps seemed to have no idea where this was. It dumped me 1.7kms away and told me to hike in. Thankfully someone somewhere told me about Locus Map. It knew where I was and where I was trying to get to. When I arrived I opened up c:geo and it took me from the parking lot to a nearby rocky outcropping not far away (but still wrong). So back into Locus Map to use the satellite information to get a better location. Then I opened GPS Point to claim that I was in the exact right spot and that it wasn't there and that's when I found it. GPS location information was spot on (not bad considering a few overhanging trees and that it was an overcast evening). All this happened in darkness (6:30pm in mid-late Autumn). Glad I was able to find it in the end. Tftc
Found the real cache in good order then found the throwdown by the last 3 finders (if thats how you like to cache then just log a fake found instead of ruining it for everybody else... there's a dnf button for a reason) Photo of fake cache
Great location with some interesting history.

Stop here to stretching my legs.

This cache needs help - was sitting on rocks by the car park! Tried to relocate to original position but readings all over the place, so placed in hollow log facing river at S37 44.461 E148 01.393. Sorry for spoiler but readings a bit wonky. Cache also damp so hopefully owner can give it some TLC.
Driving through to Mallacoota, I insisted that geohusband make a detour when I saw the sign for a trestle bridge. Great photo opportunities. Whilst stopped, we thought it best to check out any caches in the area. An interesting history to the area meant we had to investigate.
With GPS bouncing all over the place, we hunted about for just over half an hour with no luck. Ausyowie pointed out the time and that we really needed to get back on the road (I may have also been a bit distracted photographing some native flowers nearby).
He was already back at the car when I spotted shooting out of place. Had to have a good laugh at how we had missed it for half an hour. Thanks for bringing us out hear and the history lesson.

This cache made us laugh. Thanks djcache.
Having checked out the old trestle bridge on the way to Mallacoota, we thought that we'd check out the weir and hopefully find a quick cache. The gps gods were not being kind. Both of us were being told to hover around a particular area. As it turns out, we were both about 8-10 metres out.
After hunting high and low for about half an hour I was giving up and heading back to the car when Malipara spotted something that was out of place. Bingo. Very nice hide.
We donated a new ziplock bag for the log and put everything back nicely the way that it was.
Thanks again.

Had a good look around but there were a couple of lace monitors trying to get rid of us. They succeeded and we didn't. Will come back another day.
Great hide thank you. The GPS was a little annoying and as we almost gave up and we’re leaving Miss jane found it.
We were out and about today on the homeward bound part of the 3 week trip and after a drone fly off nearby this cache was a welcome distraction although the drone was recovered in good condition.
The cache was found and the contents were on the ground as the lid was off and everything was wet.
we added a second dry log book and placed the old/new book into a disposable glove to keep them separated and removed the tape someone used to tape the lid shut.
Our thanks to djcache for the cache.

Cache replaced this afternoon after a number of DNF's. Cache owner unable to locate the original. May have gone missing during recent work on car park, or could just have been muggled. No longer quite so close to the edge. Coordinates have been updated via a separate log to S 37° 44.458' E 148° 01.399'. The GPS was jumping around a bit but I averaged coordinates several times for 15 min. Feedback in logs on how accurate you find them would be appreciated.
Hope the new hide is enjoyed. DJ

Went with Lillieb05 and even tho it was a dnf it was a very beautiful place and loved visiting this place
Lovely spot but no cache. With 4 of us searching we should have fihnd it if it was there.
Lovely place and worth a visit anyway.

We spent a considerable amount of time looking for this one... but could not find it. A new path, steps and car park could be the reason - perhaps it has been disturbed, or perhaps we were just missing something! Did see the lace monitor that others have seen here.
Quick grab with outnabout86 and geokid. No waterfall today due to the lack of rain

Found on our Sunday drive with jody1470 geokid and geodogs. Saw a lovely lace monitor hanging about too.
This one was left for Petal, which proved to be a quick find. Thanks djcache for this placement.
Great spot for it.

Hubby and our daughter unloaded the bikes while geoson and I took the walk under this gorgeous bridge to the cache back doen the track. We had a perfect day. We then went for a bike ride to this weir. However, 400m from this cache my chain totaly broke. I walked while the rest of the family rode. As we got near, i realised that we could approach the cache from the trail. So hubby express rode back to trestle bridge while the kids and i went back where we parked the bike and stopped at a cross track a bit further back towards bridge to wait fir him. Once all the bikes reloaded. We headed to this cache from the other side of the ravine. Beautiful area and great effort from that ladies land army. Took lots of photos and found the cache. Thanks from showing us this little treasure.
Found on a one month road trip around Australia. Sorry for the generic log. TNLNSL TFTC
Tricky little find. But didn't take too long. You don't have to cross river.
I wandered into the Soda Springs again today
Yep !!
I had been here seven years earlier looking for this very cache [:o]
Today,
warm as it was,
did not invite me to dive into the lake below [:o]
But unlike on me last visit,
I found the well hidden cache this time around
A long time coming [^]

Nice easy find but a goanna give me a fright just 3 meters away from the cache he wasn't happy... Tftc
Very disappointed we couldn't find this one today tried for ages but with two little geokids we were worried about looking to close on steep bits
Saw some great widelife which was worth the drive for so tftc

At first I couldn't find this one but after looking more carefully in the most likely spot It was spotted. Log was signed then we were off to continue our bush drive TNLN TFTC
We searched for about 15 minutes for this one but came up empty handed. We did see a cool lizard though. Based on the coords and previous logs we were fairly certain we were in the right location but found it very overgrown. If it is still there, it is certainly more than a difficulty 1 hide. We still enjoyed the visit while in the area. Greetings from Washington, DC, USA.
A quick and easy drive by while we were in the area. We had lost reception before we reached this one and we speculated that it had been a swimming hole. It was not until I was logging this morning that we discovered it's real use.Very cool. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
# 9802. After 5 days in Lakes Entrance today is a travelling day - we are moving on to Marlo for 3 nights. After last night's heavy rain we awake to a glorious day and with a few little detours find some caches along the way.
It was a bit tricky trying to find our way to GZ - we may have been clean to start the day but not by the time we had finished here. We were looking for a much larger container than the small one we found. Whilst Rob fed the mosquitos I returned to the car for a new log book, plastic bag and pencil. All is OK again for now.
A nice spot by the stream with water trickling over the wall and making pretty feathery patterns on the water. Took a few photos before leaving.
Thanks djcache

Day six of a challenge trip to East Gippsland with BettyBoo3747.
Departed Lakes for Marlo. Checked out a few caches on the way, and a few I didn't have in Orbost.
Arrived early in Marlo, so cruised around town and did a few here. The river where it meets the sea is looking fabulous.
We dropped into the bridge as BB hadn't seen it. I had done the cache there while riding the rail trail previously.
Seeing we were close we ventured a little further in to this cache. What a lovely spot!
The stream was just flowing enough to give a nice waterfall, but not to disturb the patterns on the lower pond.
Logbook wasn't too flash so BB replaced it.
Thanks, Robmc.

YAY - finally found this one with a little help from a geofriend. I highly recommend a visit to this area to look for this cache. It's quite pretty and there is a lovely little picinc table and fire place (which we didn't use today). BUT be careful when hunting for the container. GZ has now become a little overgrown and tended to be a little slippery under foot (GZ is not a spot to let the kids run free). Thanks djcache for setting this one up - it's a lovely spot to visit. (The cache container is a little damp at the moment and could do with drying out.)
A lovely spot to visit. Had no idea that spot was there.
The cache was safe and dry.
Thanks djcache

Got to the a place to park, good no cars.
Got out and a head pop up, damn.
walk about 10 meter to the weir and talked to the family having lunch.
they return to the BBQ area, that i had not seen.
Found the cache, but the Log Book was very wet.
Return to the car and found a new log sheet and a zip lock bag.
Sign the new log and return the cache.
Thank you djcache for another hide

Found. What a nice spot. Cache is water logged. Sorry did not have any spare pads to replace.
A lovely little spot, however did some CITO, due to the disgraceful mess left here. Note to future finders: no matter what the map says and where your GPS puts you, there is no need to cross the creek. We stumbled around for a bit until I spotted the hide. Thanks for bringing us here and for the history.
TFTC - just as well my geokids are part mountain goat for this one.
As others have stated the log book is waterlogged. We couldn't sign.

Log book is totally water logged. Could not sign it. Attempted to sign the back of the log book. Have moved it further back out of the weather. But needs Replacing.
Would of been a great site if the water was flowing. But still a nice place to be. TFTC
In the area after the Alpine rally grabbing some caches on the way home and this was next. Found the little road heading to a parking spot right at the weir and then thought about how to get the last few metres to GZ. Yes, do take care especially if wet! Found the cache quickly but have others have said it is very wet and the log is unsignable. I was able to leave a mark on the back of one of the swaps so my name is there at least. This one really needs a good dry out, thanks to djcache for bringing me here, nice little gorge and weir, worth stopping to look at.
