Despite all the DNFs, archiving and lack of response from the CO, this cache is still here.
I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi TheB0rg
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

It was quite a while ago I attempted this cache and failed but today I had about half an hour up my sleeve and I was determined to find it - which I did using some guidance from previous finders. Specifically the fact that the coords are about 8m out. I concur with that. More specifically the cache is about 8m north of where the coords are. Unfortunately I interrupted my coordinate averaging so I can't post the correct coords (although I could extrapolate them from being 8m north). So glad to finally find this which must be one of the trickiest finds I've encountered. But that's entirely due to the dodgy coords. It's not too bad to find if you can get to the right place. TFTC.
Out for a walk along the river today. A previous DNF here, but this time there was no dog disturbing the peace, I had the walkway to myself, and all the time in the world. A methodical search, radiating out from where the GPS said had me finally locating this elusive wee cache. Hidden as described, but I was easily 10m away from where the GPS had started me from. All safe and dry here. TFTC.
Took a brief look but as previous cachers was unable to find the cache so guess it has disappeared.
When the GPS was reading zero we found a black cable tie with nothing on it. We didn't look further as the last 2 logs were DNF's.
I remember one cache that said there were mosquitoes the size of Albertross, I think they have migrated!!
Still no luck for us but we'll be back.

I took my youngest son up to Wellington in the camper van. I dropped him off at his friend's house where he will stay. Meanwhile I get to geocache and be on standby.
After staying at Greytown and spending another day in the Wairarapa, it was time to head to The Hutt area.
Son number two got dropped off at the airport. Hubby got picked up.
I needed to get the Camper's clutch checked out at Miro Auto Repairs. Once we got the all clear it was time for a walk in the Hutt Valley. One appropriate for the hot weather.

Tidying up DNFs again. The coordinates put me about 8m away on the wrong side of the track, using both my GPS and my phone. After a few minutes widening the search I spotted a geotrail and quickly had the cache in hand.

Took the geohound for a walk in a very pleasant summer evening. Access to GZ is surprisingly sheltered from prying eyes, which meant that I could search uninterrupted. Fifteen minutes of seducing) searching eventually saw me with the log in hand. Glad to finally cross this one off the dnf list.
Searched for about 10 mins, no luck today. Did not want to upset neighbouring dog too much.
Battled for ages with this. Looked both sides if the tracks and got put off by previous posts. Found on the original side we looked. Last gasp effort. Good spot!
2nd time lucky! Searched high and ... higher while neighbour dog barked and wagged his tail. Widened search area to include other side of track and B made a quick find. TFTC!
2nd time lucky after 5 and widening search area. Appeased barking dog by saying hello. TFTC TheB0rg.
10/2/17 - Bib2 beat me to this one and gave me the 2 minute countdown. Managed to find with 5 seconds to spare. Cache is alive and well to those previous DNFs tftc
I scoured the area around GZ for several metres in each direction and on both sides of the track.
No luck

Searched, widened the search and then searched again - could find this one today
Saw a number of suitable locations, didn't f, no, Mrs Ws persistence paid off, found it finally.

Megan and I took Dexter the Border Collie for a walk along the river bank. We found this one along the way.
A very pleasant evening in the Hutt Valley. No other people around at this time of the day.
Cache is all good and dry.
Thank you

A cold drizzly windy day for a MTB ride around the Hutt River Trail to pick up some new caches and some previous DNFs.
Took about 20 min to find but as usual once found it was definitely the most suitable spot for it.

Sounds like it has gone burger - Will bring a new container and think about a new placement site...
Did not put much effort in here as a bulldozer has been through here recently and my GPSr had me right in the middle of the area moved about by the bully! May pay for CO to check and confirm cache is still in place.
Spent a while looking for this one but got there in the end! Hint needs to be updated. Be careful, they didn't warn you about the prickly bushes or mosquito family
Tricky little find! All is well with the cache - which can't be said for the tree... TFTC
#1909. Well I needed to do 3 caches tonight. I looked at the options. Three in Makara Peak bike trails or three up the track to Mt Lowry. All looked very steep. So went for the lazy option instead and did three off Owen Street area. This was the second one. Parked car at road end and enjoyed the nice flat amble to the GZ. Looked at the hint and checked one object that didn't really match it. Nothing so headed off further afield and searched 2-3 other objects that matched the hint. Still no cache. So back to the start again and a more careful look. Yes there it was. The object no longer matches the hint description but the coordinates are good. Signed the log and returned just before a few muggles showed up. Thanks for the cache.
GPS wasn't zeroing on a particular spot, & we weren't spotting anything that really matched the hint, but after reading some previous logs we realised the issue & the cache was a quick find after that. You might want to redo that hint!
Thanks for setting this up TheBOrg
Thanks for setting this up TheBOrg
wasn't able to find anything matching the hint! The cold weather won today.
Took us a while but we found it. Don't go looking right on dusk makes it hard to find. Great hide. Thanks for the fun.
Took a bit of butting out but read others comments and soon had it in hand. TIMBER! TFTC
Enjoyed a walk along part of the river trail on a very pleasant Sunday afternoon and found a handful of caches en route. Took a couple of minutes to locate this one. Yes, the situation has changed since the hint was first given! #800. TFTC.
Surprised myself and found this in the first place I looked. The hint is not quite right anymore but you should still be able to work it out. Thanks for the cache.
Grrr bloody sandflys bit me. Only thing makes it worthwhile is the smiley face. Quick find
Nice cache, came here a couple of months ago, but the kids were too antsy to let me look properly. TFTC
Took a little while to find, relatively speaking. The hint object is no longer in its original orientation. Tftc
Cache was lying out in the open so I replaced it in what I thought was a likely spot. TFTC
#1495 I'm hoping to fit in a cache or two before work while the mornings are light and as a bonus beat all the traffic. This was the second of three this morning. Found it after scratching my head a bit and then reading a couple of logs. Definitely overthought it! TFTC!
nearly gave up looking for this one but decided to look in one more place! spotted something familiar and boom the cache was in hand
Finally found after a long search. Wouldnt call it a "micro" container though, is a 60ml medicine bottle. Good hiding. Stumped us for a while. Excuse the pun
I needed a little lie-down after this one ... it took us way longer than it should have! Lovely day for a walk and the odd cache here and there. With Cassie2010. Tftc
The Riverside Rest cache site may be dead but it is no longer standing tall. Signed log at 11.00 AM and replaced as found.
