As the final hiding spot has finally been compromised, it's time to let this one go the way of the Woollen Mill itself.
Same as previous non finder, we had a look at all those places but on reading their log we didn’t hang round long

Should be a pretty straightforward find. We'll take it offline until we work out whether we'll keep it going or not.
An 80 year old bushfire[?][?]
Apparently the ageing Bushfire aka Red Ant was having an 80th birthday party and since I owed him a mug or two, I really wanted to attend.
So Rex and I headed off in the Corolla for what ended up being a 4 day road trip to Geelong, Warrnambool and back to Shepparton during which I finally finished the Victorian Premiers whereigo [^][|)]
Had some great company exploring around Geelong prior to the birthday event, we attended 2 flashmobs and yes... I even managed to get pulled over by the police in Geelong (apparently a case of mistaken identity ) on the way to the 3am flashmob and the other geocachers in the car in front of me didn't even realise and just left me! [:o)][:o)]
The next day Rex and I spent ages in the Botanic Park doing a Bushfire multi and sadly we had to bother to CO for a nudge (with a bloody hammer). Then to cap it off, a muggle found the cache for us
I finally got to drive on the GOR and I have to say that I was so glad that I wasn't on my motorbike as it was rainy and blowing a gale for almost the whole road
We saw glow worms [^] and thoroughly enjoyed clear skies and no rain as we did so [^] although bering in there on my own at 2.30am was a bit freaky , then the moment we got back in the car, the rain and wind started again
We spent the night on the way to Warrnambool on the side of the road only to find in the morning that we'd been sleeping right on the edge of a cemetery
All in all an amazing, scenic and fun trip [^] where there was 6 DNFs and 63 cache finds over the 4 days
As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

Puzzle was easily solved, but on searching at the new GZ came up empty-handed, although we gave the guardrail a good look under and behind, looked under the bridge and at the bases of the nearby trees
We picked this cache up at 2:33pm. Since we were parked nearby, this was an easy cache to pickup while we were in the area.
After a successful event and a lovely lunch nearby a group of us (Phetlern, the Tritonz and me) attempted to clear up a few local caches. This was one of them.
Thanks for the cache o'cholio.

Found the cache container nearby in the open when on the hunt for a nearby multi. Returned back to GZ .
Nice puzzle which could be solved without using the www . Today I drove to the recommended parking and soon after I found myself beneath the guardrail searching for the box. A few moments later I could claim the FTF in 2018 .

We have travelled from Clare SA and found while visiting our daughter in Warrnambool for Christmas found with her Rottpak worked out the co ordinates then out to do a few caches before dark. beautiful views from here. TFTC
TFTC. we had solved this puzzle in March, last time we were in Warrnambool. We were in town for a Motorhome Christmas’s party over the weekend. Rather than leave straight away we stayed an extra day to do some more local caches. A lovely day to be out and about. Quick find.
At first we were looking at the incorrect elevation and then hubby spotted an item that is frequently used as a cache container. An easy puzzle with a slightly tricky hide. SL TFTC
Holidaying in Port Fairy with the kids and we headed out to explore this morning with geocaching as our guide. A nice quick pick up today. Nice to tick this one off. Interesting there was lots of development happening nearby! Many thanks
Found with The Empire as we journeyed from Portland to our respective home towns. Unsure wether to be up or down, but the Terrain rating suggested up, and that it was. A nice quick find, log was signed and returned, and we were off to the next one. Thanks to o'cholio for the puzzle and the cache.
Found by The Empire and Sully
Time to start making tracks for home. This time, along the Great Ocean Road between Portland and Port Campbell. A brief cruise through Warnambool, picking up some cool caches, lunch, then back on the road. There were waaaaaaaay too many people down here along the foreshore - we only grabbed a couple of caches. Sully made the find on this one - top job! Thanks for the cache o'cholio.

With a night planned down this neck of the woods, we set about solving some puzzles for our flying visit. Another tricky puzzle that gave a satisfying feeling when I had the light bulb moment. A tricky hide that I eventually spotted.

Well, it's my last day without the boys here, so I decided to head out geocaching fairly early. I solved this one easily before leaving Melbourne last week. I picked up a few caches around Lake Pertobe before driving to this one. I followed the well-worn geo-trail, but it was probably not the quickest way to GZ, and was actually a bit misleading. Anyway, once at GZ, and having read previous logs about not knowing on which level to look, I finally found the cache. Then I just had to wait for a break in the traffic, including teenage muggle skateboard traffic, to retrieve and return the cache.
Thanks for the cache, o'cholio

I am in Warrnambool, camping here with Geo-Sons for our annual 10-days-in-a-tent. A few years ago, they started rolling their eyes and saying, "Do we HAVE to go geocaching?" As we've walked around town over the past couple of days, I've kept saying, "I bet we are walking past geocaches" Well, I think I have got the perfect balance this year! They both have to work in Melbourne this weekend, so I have put them on the train, and now have three days to myself until they return on Monday afternoon! Geocaching - here I come!!!
Thanks for the cache, o'cholio

I initially struggled with two particular pieces of this puzzle and after speaking to a caching pal recently about this one she quite simply gave me a slight nudge and with that the numbers fitted perfectly, major palm slap to the forehead and with that it was a case of swinging past the gz today while in town and collecting. This one still had me going in a few possible locations to search and was fortunately spotted while doing a sweep of the area. The area has certainly changed a bit since I was kid and by the looks of it still seem to be developing not far from the gz. Thanks o'cholio for the puzzle and the hide.
In the area for a few days, so cleaning up a few more caches that are in the area. Had solved this some time ago, no muggles about, allowed for a quick find once at GZ and on the right level.
Thanks o'cholio for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Wanting to do a cache in town near where we visiting my Besties rellies and this was it.
Had solved it eons ago, but never got to this part of the world.
A very quick find using the info in the geochecker!
Those that think it is gone, it isn't, it is within 3m of where the GPSr said it would be. Perhaps change your viewing perspective in line with the geochecker and the prize will be revealed!
Yes a lot of development along these parts...

Down in Warrnambool for the Surf Coast BBQ Event , we set out in the company of McLookers this morning braving the rain to cross as many caches of our list as possible. With all the local puzzles presolved long before this weekend , it was just a matter of picking them up and adding our names to the logs. Finding a safe place to park, we then headed off carefully to GZ. The container was found fairly quickly even though the GPS wanted us on a different level.
Thanks o'cholio for the history and the cache.

We sorted this puzzle quite some time ago in preparation for our trip to Warrnambool. Today at GZ The Tritonz located the cache quickly with his eagle eye. We signed the log and replaced. Thank you o'cholio for highlighting this important piece of history.
After solving this puzzle last night in my cabin at the nearby caravan park I would have loved to have found it but despite a longish search the hide did not reveal itself to me.

We are in Warrnambool visiting family for Christmas festivities. We've just visited the very awesome skate park. This puzzle solve took a little longer, but I got there. The find also took a bit longer at gz, but again, we got there. Took DreamyDragon along for the ride too. He made the retrieve. Tftc.
This is my first puzzle cache and really enjoyed it!

#308 - A fantastic night for caching! After solving the puzzle we headed out to get the find! Tftc.
We solved this puzzle in the motel room before we headed out. Enjoyed this as it got the brain working was a few muggles driving past at gz but found fairly quickly. Found with uvtorch and mitchaaa. TFTC
With the puzzle solved we went to see the old mill site and the new development. Thanks for this piece of history.
After finding the first one in the series I thought I would give this one a go. After working out a possability it was off to see if I was correct. Took a bit to find but at last it came to hand. TN Left TB TFTC

Heading off to Victoria to travel the Great Ocean Road on Sunday with mogni. Better get some caches along the way. After booking in to out overnight digs we heading out for a meal and then some more caching.
Having solved the puzzle before coming we were making this far too hard at GZ in the fading light. I went back to get a torch and as I arrived with it mogni made the find. Thanks o'cholio.

Loved the puzzle. Luckily I had Tag-along with me as he spotted the cache. When I returned it I found another one close by. That means two containers for 1 cache. I only signed one log book.
Thanks for making sure that we could find this cache o'cholio.

Well done to geoson for solving the puzzle. Then onto our 3rd find for our warrnambool holiday. Tftc
#5852 We had attended the OZ Mega at Murray Bridge and were now slowly meandering our way home via the Great Ocean Road. After an overnight pit stop at Warrnambool we were on our way again but not before grabbing a couple of solved puzzles . This one had us revisiting maths that hadn't been needed for quite some years, after brushing off the cobwebs we managed to come up trumps and the checker gave us the go ahead. After a breakfast of champions (bacon & eggs ) we headed to GZ which was relatively quiet despite our late start. Initially we went low but spotted the cache which required another access and soon enough we were making our mark in the book. The cache was in very good condition on our visit and doubt that it'll be compromised anytime in the near future. Our thanks to o'cholio for the puzzle and cache. Cheers [^]
This was a lot easier to get to than it's sister cache.
Took the time to break our drive to Mega and stretch our legs.
We only did a couple of caches in this town, but they were both good to get.

Found while on a fantastic caching adventure with Coruze and Troobloo along the Great Ocean Road on our way to the OzMega Murray Bridge. We had a fantastic adventure along the road stopping at as many caches we could find while looking at the most amazing views! Will definately come back this way to do some more caching and to check out more views and places of Interest!
Thanks one was a lot easier to get to then 'the shape of development'!!

Travelling through on our way to South Australia, we could only do a couple of caches here and there due to time restraints.
We had solved the puzzle sometime a go so it was a good opportunity to sign this one off so we headed straight for this one first and then off to the 2nd development cache.
Thanks for the fun 'o'cholio'

Given our backgrounds, we were able to solve the puzzle and get approval from GeoChecker quite quickly. Today we went to look for the cache and the title of the cache really made sense. The "development" that has taken place in the area is extensive but from our viewpoints, has made the area less attractive and somewhat artificial, We were able to get to GZ without major problems and were able to make a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks o'cholio for an interesting puzzle and for a well hidden cache.
Have had the co-ords for the two "o'cholio" Mystery caches in this area for a while. Whilst enjoying our drive in the area we particularly enjoyed this portion of it to and at the GZ with the river as a back drop and the canoests paddling.

When I first looked at the puzzle, I thought "what the". Then it dawned on me and I had the coordinates worked out in no time. Had geokids 1&4 with me. Found the cache no worries. Took a clear plastic gem, left a dinosaur ( toy one, not real). The log is pretty full, so may need a new one. I didn't have a spare one with me. Enjoyed working out the puzzle. TFTH o'cholio & for the history on the mill.
Heard about Geocaching when doing the OT in Tassie – two guy in the hut were talking about them, and showed me one at Lake Will; I thought they were nuts!
Thought I’d value add to my runs and find cashes around Warrnambool. It was easier to find the hides, the hard thing was to find a user-name that wasn’t taken!!
Went through all the Good Guys – “Taken!”
Started on the Bad Guys – and got stuck with Grima Wormtongue!!!
Only intended to run 8K but the proximity alarm kept going off and ended up running 15K.
This is my 1st find thanks for the effort with the puzzle and cache.

After my success with the first of these, I thought it worthwhile to have a crack at its twin. The maths was a little trickier, but once I channeled highschool (I got a cold shiver just thinking of it) I got the go ahead from the checker.
The cache appears to have drifted somewhat, as my GPSr zeroed out in an appropriate spot, but the cache was located a handful of meters out. Nevertheless, it was found with a minimum of fuss.
TFTC, and the bad, bad memories

After being worked out by knightarrant (maths is not my strength) we searched the GZ for nearly an hour to find nothing until something caught my eyes!! Yes it was the cache nowhere near the searched area. We had walked passed it many times!!! Tftc
Took a little while...we exhausted what we thought were all options for a possible hide then found in most obvious spot when nearing the time to save hunt for another day! TFTC??
I loved this cache, the puzzle ones are great fun. In all honesty the puzzle was easier than the find, more than forty minutes spent poken around in the wrong place, we had all but given up, walking back to the car tarshawk says here it is. sl, left knight, thanks for a great cache.

Once again the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen gathered yet once more for another caching adventure, the team comprising of myself, Starruby & Covey. The purpose of the expedition was not so much to smash numbers, but to hit some highly favored caches, and primarily to complete the series of Portland night caches.
The weather was superb and the company even better as we cruised along the Great Ocean Road, stopping occasionally along the way to grab a few drive-bys, and targeted a few favourited hides. By 4am we saw ourselves finishing up with a bag load of caches, before finally setting up camp and climbing into swags.
Rising bright and early next morning for a mouth watering breakfast of bacon, eggs and baked beans. We set out on the road home taking an inland route, with highlights in limestone caves, wading across rivers, and even an encounter with a feral pig! All back home in bed before midnight with 60+ caches bagged, and memories of great deeds upon which to embellish and boast.
Covey did the conversion - starruby did the driving - I did the fetching + signing the log - a nice bit of team work.
Many thx to the CO for the hide.

A short while in the planning, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen gathered once more, comprising of myself, C@H and Shogun. Permission from better halves gained, we set off from the Mornington Peninsula at an early hour with Portland as our destination. The purpose of the expedition was not so much to smash numbers, but to visit some highly favoured caches, and primarily to complete the series of Portland nightcaches.
Blessed with great weather, we cruised the Great Ocean Road, stopping occasionally along the way to grab a few drivebys, and targetted a few favourited hides.
0400 hours saw us complete many nightcaches before climbing into swags. Rising next morning for a hearty breakfast of bacon, eggs and baked beans, we set out on the road home taking an inland route, with highlights in limestone caves, wading across rivers, and even an encounter with a feral pig! All back home in bed before midnight with 60+ caches bagged, and memories of great deeds upon which to embellish and boast.
Covert did the numbers in the car on the way for the 2 caches in this series, with only a little help from myself - I stress 'little' ...
Near GZ we found an abandoned esky, but after testing its weight, Shogun feared opening it - perhaps in part due to my suggestion that it may contain body parts. A braver Covert removed the lid, and a highly toxic aroma spewed out affecting all - fishy body parts, well fermented! We apologise to any future seekers of this cache, as the smell is bound to linger ...
The cache was soon found in an obvious spot, though we missed it at first pass. TFTC

Worked out the puzzles and verified the coordinates with ‘GeoCheck.org” it confirmed that I was correct, and told me what to look for – Well be buggered if I could find it!!! Been ages since anybody has logged this one; it might need a check!
You would think being a Maths teacher, I could do maths, but with two negative returns from the coordinate checker, I realised my mistake! This development has certainly gone ahead in the last few years, since I moved from the town. TFTC. TNLN.

Found at 1650 in the company of Roostaman during our Great Ocean Road trip. I was on the right track with the puzzle but still lacking important information until a prompt from the owner helped to get the green light from the coordinate checker. Ran into trouble at GZ and had to call for help. Eventually found the cache in a spot that we thought that we had already checked. Must have been using our painted on eyes.

8076 Felt quite sheepish here with the wool pulled over our eyes, took much longer to find the cache than to solve the puzzle. Cool reading about the historic Warnambool Woollen Mill.
Thanks for the cache o’cholio…

I swear I looked where we found it today last time I was here and again this arvo after dinner at the Lake Pertrobe Playground but was about to give up (GeoGirl#1/Cattycat already had and gone back to the car) when I spotted it. D'Oh!!!
Thanks for the challenge.

Took a little bit more to work out than the other one in the series. Thank heavens mobiles have calculators or we would have been in trouble. A much cleaner retrieval than the one we just did. Our last Warrnambool cache. Was pleased to get a few of your caches done on our trip through. Guess we'll have to come back to clean the rest up. Thanks.

Found in conjunction with Squalid and Ian & Penny. H-P had this puzzle worked out very soon after we decided to spend some time in the area. All that was needed was to go to the co-ordinates and claim the prize, which was quickly done by P-P.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the puzzle and hunt o'cholio.

6th find of the day, and 2879th total find at 15:44.
We're down in Warrnambool for a long long weekend, and found this one in the company of Phetlern and Squalid. I didn't seem to have any difficulty with this cache, it seems that the more puzzles we do, the better we seem to get.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Thanks o'cholio for the cache

Worked this out last night. Went as a group, and also picked up some of the answers to another multi near-by. Thanks for the brain teaser.
The ageing Bushfire was invited out on a day’s caching with the VKC1SR team on a trip to Warrnambool and return in the 4x4 owned by one of the team, great vehicle for caching.
This was the 14th cache of the day and I now have 23 new smiley faces down this way.
Having worked these out many months ago it was only a matter of parking and having a look for this cache which was not where I first looked but then I spied the cache,so the log was signed and we were off to the next. Found this guy at 13.25 and thanks to o'cholio for placing this our second cache of yours today. I used to work in the wool industry for half a lifetime.

A day out caching with Bushfire. 12 of 19 for us at 1325. Back on the move after a bite to eat. Thanks to Bushfire who solved this puzzle. A quick find, not where we thought it would be. We were thinking the path side of the bridge would be where we would find it. Good bit of history.

Since this one hadn't been found for a while I was a bit worried it might have gone walkabout. I decided to solve the puzzle and check it out anyways and I am happy to say that it is still in place and is safe and sound.
Thanks
Thanks
Puzzle solved after a gentle nudge from the cache owner. Cache was quickly found.
Is this cache a reference to the Australian manufacturing becoming unviable? The shape of development?
Thanks for the cache o'cholio.

Easy find. Brought back good memories for my mum. TFTC Took Tb and pathtag, left another pathtag and something else (I forget what it was!)
This was one of my "must do" caches while in Warrnambool for a holiday. Despite that I nearly drove past it on the way back from a beach visit. Enjoying myself and no paying enough attention I suppose. [B)]
We parked nearby and watched an Egret fishing in the swollen river for awhile. Then, towing the whole family I made the short stroll to GZ and the easy find.
Took: Puzzle GC. Left: Geopick GC and Pink skull pathtag.
Cheers o'cholio, thanks for the mental workout.

Offline due to the flooding of the Merri River. http://www.standard.net.au/multimedia/15208/94988/the-southwest-flood-part-ii.aspx
The cache SHOULD be still okay, however until we can confirm this in the next couple of weeks it'll stay offline due to increased risk.

I did the maths for this one and Dad did the search. A real Earthbound Control team effort! Thanks.
Put the 13yo to work on this one as the olds were too lazy to do the maths and he likes maths! Let the Chief scramble around on this one until I remembered to tell him the clue! Oops. Left a Geocoin here that wants to go to puzzle caches. Thanks for the cache, o'cholio.

Found by Mary & David at 0800. An early start after our overnight stay. Dinner at Macey's Bistro last night was great. The rain seems to have gone (for now at least). A very peaceful spot at this time of the morning. Our thanks to o'cholio.
When we close large factories like this in favour of imports, where do all the workers go?
A lot of industry has gone from OZ only to be replaced with big warehouses. It seems a very short sighted view.
A nice easy puzzle.
Thanks, Robmc.
