16-Mar-15
Could not find it

07-Mar-15
No longer sure if this cache is still available......not found where the hint is or surrounding area ...but the view was worth the disappointment {:)}

12-Feb-15
Found where it was, but not much left. Beautiful day, Beautiful views.

01-Feb-15
Our plan today was to replace this one as we had an appropriate container and log in the car. On arrival at GZ we were confronted with a continual stream of muggles. The longer we waited the worse it became. Perhaps the CO could relocate it to a more suitable spot next time they are in the area.

26-Jan-15
I had hoped to celebrate Australia Day with a find at the most Southern Point of Australia that I have ever visited (right here). Unfortunately I only had a brief chance to look to the cache before the heavens opened up and our group have to flee for the safety of the bus. ( Given the reports that the cache is most likely missing I had no high expectations of a find)

21-Jan-15
As stated. If anyone is going to walk up there to look for this cache, could they take any type of container even a zip lock bag with a rock and piece of paper in it. Great out of the weather hiding spot for a simple replacement. Wished I'd looked into the log before walking up there.

11-Jan-15
It was very secluded whilst i was there, i searched everywhere but i think it might be gone. Sad

11-Jan-15
As this is a remote location - could the next would be finder plan to replace the cache with a small Sistema type container?

07-Jan-15
Our 3rd cache for the day & couldn't find it. All five of is looked for it, but it eluded us. We searched both sides & nearby bushes according to instructions. Oh well, our first ever disappointment, but 3/4 ain't bad.

29-Nov-14
Spent the weekend on Bruny. I really wanted to get this one as it would be my most Southerly. Visited the lighthouse before camping at Jetty Beach. Great view from up here! Nice easy find away from prying muggles. TFTC!

08-Nov-14
On a stormy day we ventured down to Bruny lighthouse to seek the cache that was sequestered there. Whilst the less than enthusiastic half of the russncar team took lots of photos of the flowers dotted along the path and the scenery, he who does like geocaching sought the hidden treasure. After nearly being frozen by the Antarctic winds and blown off the lighthouse hill we were successful. The return journey to the car park was also fraught with danger for we had to contend with cute bunny rabbits who were leading us towards the cliffs but with persists and perseverance we returned to our faithfull wheels of conveyance known we had achieved our goal. TFTC

29-Oct-14
Found with newly dropped container. Logging with permission from CO. Fav added and full log to follow Smile

03-Oct-14
Great views, heaps of history but unfortunately no cache. We checked every vent and surrounding bushes. But no luck. Thanks for the experience though.

25-Apr-14
Lovely windy day and great view

01-Apr-14
Visiting this beautiful state & what a stunning location! Amazing views! Walked up the hill & was heading to GZ & was so busy looking at the GPS that I almost fell over the volunteer painting the building - right where I wanted to be. We had a chat & I talked to her about this wonderful adventure called Geocaching! TFTC!!

01-Apr-14
We picked a glorious day to visit the lighthouse. Got a detailed explanation from the volunteer on site. Great views from here. Afterwards we hunted for the cache and the other volunteer was painting a building. Are you looking for something? So I told her about the geocache. Unbelievable she said. We are here for a while already nobody mentioned anything about it and now you are the second one in 5 minutes. Lucky fpr us she had not painted the area yet where we had to search and found it pretty quick. TFTC Cached.

Found this cache after camping nearby. Windiest and rainiest camping spot ever, but at least our tent held up! Did a nice long walk around Labillardiere Peninsula the day before, which included a few nice deserted beaches. I can only long to go back to Bruny Island now, though it might have to wait for a while...

09-Feb-14
Found it just before a really wild storm hit. We camped with Tassie friends Gay and Pete at Jetty Beach , perfect spot. Tftc Stunning!

Found on a VERY windy late summer afternoon

First random geocache find since returning home from the UK, so no pen to sign log, but took a pic. Loving Bruny in the sun. TFTC

What a stunning location for a cache, and a very clever hiding spot. Well done you!

11-Jan-14
Great view found with the help of sissyfish & mutty.

05-Jan-14
Stunning location!!!

05-Jan-14
I had this on my list of must get caches on my trip to Tassie. We caught the ferry across and drove straight down here. The carpark was full but somebody was just leaving as we pulled in and after a bit of lunch we made the walk to the top. The first place I checked was on the wrong side of the building. I went to the other side and after a bit of wary searching came up with the goods. The log is a little damp but I could still write on it.
This is now my most southern cache and probably will remain that way for a while.

Took a while as we had to wait for departure of muggle helicopters circling the light house watching us. Very pleased to have found not only this location but the cache so the drive on dirt road was definitely worth it.

20-May-13
Climbed the track twice as the first time the iPhone app wasn't showing the cache. Quick find in an awesome location.

First time to Bruny and our first sight seeing stop was the light house. Hiked up the path with my daughter Geowookiee. What a view!!! Took a while to find due to the muggles but got it in the end. Beautiful area. TFTC

Muggle friends are currently caretaking at the lighthouse, so we had some help in locating the cache as we went around and around the building!

Fantastic views from here, and such a picturesque spot. Took way tooooo many photos.

Thanks Cached, a great place to put a cache.

This was our 1st cache find in the caching run & we found it at 12:18
So this now makes our total find count 5903.

We decided to head over to Bruny, on the spur of the moment. Initially we just went down to the ferry terminal to "sightsee". As we had the correct change for the trip and the ferry was waiting, we decided to head over. Next time we will make sure that we have sufficient fuel for the round trip it's rather expensive over there. (Well initially we weren't going to make the trip and had planned to refuel at another spot.)
Phew, what an unexpected, steep climb. Found the cache easily, in the second place we looked, after a short muggle wait.

Coordinate Accuracy: Average (Around 5 metres)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Nothing.
Thanks Cached for the hunt today.

16-Jul-12
A nice, quick find between muggles at an amazingly scenic spot. Many thanks Cached for bringing us to this great place. We thoroughly enjoyed our fine and windy day on the island. [^]

27-Jun-12
It was a glorious day and the views were great. I took advantage of the hint to expedite my find, not that there were any muggles around. Having signed the log and returned the cache the geoniece and I walked down to the beach past the two graves, and enjoyed the views of the waves pounding the beach. It's a wonderful spot. Thanks for the cache, Cached and Wackys.

12-Jun-12
I'm writing this one up a month after I found it. I could pretty much copy and paste exactly what Sam Carter up above wrote and it would all be true.

It too, WAS a glorious day with great views, we DID use the clue to help things along even though there were no muggles. We signed the log, then geoniece and I ALSO walked down to the beach past the two graves, and enjoyed watching the waves crash in (as well as having some rock throwing competitions - biggest splash, furtherest throw, etc).

We were staying at Lunawanna, and had headed this way at dusk the night before, but it was dark by the time we got there and the gate was closed. The prospect of walking there was a bit spooky in the pitch black, so we admired the light instead. Luckily we didn't attempt a night walk, we would have headed to the working lighthouse instead of the old one (we didn't realise there were two in the dark).

Thanks for bringing us here.

10-Jun-12
Found quickly. The hint making it maybe a bit too obvious. However, grateful to have a quick find with muggles around. JK stood and took photos while I wrote in the log book to make our presence discrete. We were also lucky enough to get a look in the base of the lighthouse. Very lovely spot. Worth the drive on the bumpy road.

10-Jun-12
Found after a nice walk from Jetty Beach. TFTC.

16-May-12
Amazing spot. We have a beautiful country. Tftc

We got a quick tour inside the lighthouse from a volunteer re-painting it.

10-Mar-12
After walking around 14km prior to arriving at the car park in the van, I clambered out and started slowly walking up to the lighthouse, hips not wanting to move and calves that really don't want to work. Slowly but surely, I made my way up to the the top and although there were a few muggles around, I managed to find this cache between them coming and going and taking pictures of the light house.
Took me a little bit of searching and even though I looked, I couldn't see it. I ended up feeling it to find it. Took a bit to get the log out but it came and and thus logged. Now onto the light house itself.
Thanks for the cache

27-Feb-12
Visiting from Newcastle NSW, great spot, TFTC!! By the way (not that I distrust any logged finds here or anywhere else) I don't understand any cacher not having a writing stick of some description with them at all times?

25-Feb-12
Logging this one quite late. I've seen plenty of lighthouses, but this one is among the most beautiful I can recall due to its stunning setting. I'm glad I spent the extra time on Bruny (after doing the Aquatic Adventure) to visit this part of the island, see the lighthouse, camp at Jetty Beach, and hike the trail around the Labillardiere Peninsula. TFTC!

22-Jan-12
We enjoyed a nice walk and great views when we got to the lighthouse. Unfortunately I didn't have a pen or pencil so I couldn't write on the log. My log would have been on line 14 of the current log sheet. Thanks for bringing us to such a great location.

27-Dec-11
Beautiful day, beautiful spot! Thanks for bringing us here

25-Dec-11
Nice hiding spot out of the way of muggles.

16-Dec-11
beautiful spot!!

11-Dec-11
Unlike one of the ealier finders who remarked there was no pen we were prepared. It's a nice walk back to the car otherwise.

The views from here are outstanding. Couldn't get over how many people wanted to share the little area near GZ at the same time as us. Finally managed to sign the log and return it when they were all occupied.

Well worthe the visit.

03-Nov-11
It took a couple of looks in the place that matched the clue before we finally looked hard enough and found it. Cold and windy up there today!

Out with Kayakate (from Canada!)

With one day left in our Tasmania adventure (we were mostly here for a conference in Hobart) we set out for Bruny Island after hearing many recommendations that we must make it out to this lighthouse... and what a view!! We currently live in Nova Scotia so there are lots of lighthouses around... but this one is in such an incredible place! We even got to see some of the famous multiplying rabbits that we hear about in Canada. Thanks for an easy find in a beautiful place - and officially my most southern cache! Smile

21-Oct-11
Found with AllWeatherHeather - visiting from Canada Smile
Determined to make the most of our visit to the islands we made the trip to the lighthouse - well worth it. I really enjoyed the view from here and let my imagination wander on what it would be like to approach this area by boat. This I believe will also (excitingly) be my most southerly find - TFTC!!

26-Sep-11
Love this location. Had been there a few times before (although not for some years) but never had such perfect weather - clear, sunny sky, barely a breeze. Found the cache very quickly with the help of the clue. (Sorry didn't have a larger container to replace it with as we're newbies and haven't yet assembled a replace/repair kit, so couln't leave any treasure.)

24-Sep-11
Our second Cached & Wackys lighthouse find! We were lucky to arrive just as the volunteer lighthouse caretaker was opening up the lighthouse, so we could have a look inside. Parks and Wildlife have just retaken control of the property and after a safety audit people may be able to climb inside the building, but unfortunately today we could only look. After our look around, we quickly found and logged the cache, before we went down the hill and had a look at the small history collection in the 3rd keeper's cottage, and a chat to the volunteer and hs wife. TNLN. Thanks Cached & Wackys for a find at this historical place.

Having never been to but heard a lot of good about Tasmania it was great to get here for a ten day holiday with Pathfinder24. Even in winter time we had a terrific stay. The rivers were full and the water falls mighty and amazing, and we came across such lovely food and local products in addition to caches on our way around the island. This one we found as number five on our tenth day in Tassie which we spent on wonderful Bruny Island. Found the cache quite quickly with help of the hint and previous logs. We enjoyed the history of the place and the great view in sunshine and got some good photos. Thanks for bringing us here Cached & Wackys.

Holiday time for me and Ostara74, and since it is winter we decided the logical thing to do would be head south. Thus, within a few days, we had planned and booked everything we needed and were of on our "Top spots of Tasmania Geocaching Tour". Ten days in Tassie to enjoy this magical in winter! Having only been here in Summer, and Ostara74 had never been here, we were in for a treat. The rivers were bulging, the water falls pumping, the rain forests were extra rainy, and the whole place was wonderfully green and alive. We decided upon a route, grab a hire car from Launceston airport and headed off. Basically, we ticked a few must see places on a map and then decided to simple find other stuff along the way, caching where ever we saw a cache along the route. Wonderfully easy to do when you can load all the caches for the state into the GPS as the same time. This was cache find number five for day ten, and my 800th cache total! We really liked this spot and spent a long time wondering around taking photos and enjoying the view and sunny wether. Ostara74 found the cache after a short search. We signed and replaced it just before some muggles arrived. Thanks for the cache and bringing us to this magical spot. Cached & Wackys.

31-Mar-11
Unfortunately the cache data loaded into my GPS came from a GPX which didn't have the owner's log, otherwise we could've replaced it.
Nice spot however, as most lighthouses tend to be.
Then we went down to Jetty Beach and took the Outback down the boat launch road and went for a spin along the beach - magic.

17-Mar-11
Could the next finder plan to replace with small sistems size container please. Not back in tas till sep

17-Mar-11
We were unable to locate a cache at GZ.
Co-ordinates were spot on and the hint was used but there was no cache to be seen or found.
We concur with the other DNF.
The trip was worth it though!

14-Mar-11
Both the GPS and the Etrex sent us to a location that matched the hint perfectly but with 4 of us looking we were unable to find a cache there. There was a very unpleasant human log there though. Might need a check soon.

Found it pretty quickly. We were pretty excited as this was our first successful mission! We took the Cascade Brewery label and left behind a little picture of our daughter, Ruby.
