Wow. That lake is stunning in pink today! It took me a few laps to find the cache. I had the correct shrub. Enormous shrub the first time but was distracted by the pink. I took a photo while signing the log. All is good here. The glass jar is holding up so far.
Jimmy and Goldy returned to Marion Bay for another round of sightseeing as well as caches, going for quality caches over quantity.
A quick find while passing through.
Lake is a nice pink today.

Another cache found on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
The container is totally smashed. We have placed the contents into a glass jar to keep dry until maintenance can be done
We have enjoyed the YP with their fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Thanks to all the COs for guiding us around your state.

A quick stop here today, cache easily found and is all good
A big trip away to the yorke peninsula planned for the weekend travelling around touristing and have a look at sights I’ve seen before, plus camping over the 4 days wherever we needed up at the end of the day. Plus why not find 116 caches along the way for the trip. Despite the wind on the first evening the rest of the trip we were delighted by the beautiful weather.

We went on the hunt again today while travelling south again with ilook4geo. Some interesting caches were found and we enjoyed stopping at each one to break the trip. Thanks for placing this cache go to Rocky Glen Grommets and for giving us a reason to make a stop here. Thank you to Dazzatron/Margieh for doing the maintenance.
Out for some more caching along with goingplaces2. It was a good day with plenty of finds but the weather was quite variable. This cache was located, the log was signed and all was replaced as found. Job done! TFTC.

Salt Lake sort just looked like a dam today.. No special colours.. Found the cache thou. Cheers
Off on a road trip to the Silo Art tour Vic, Mildura, Goolwa SA, Port Victoria SA and then home via Murray Bridge, Naracoorte, and the Grampians, picking up some caches along the way as we see the sights. We are now staying at Port Victoria, a more picturesque spot than Maitland and today we spent the day looking around the local area before heading off tomorrow. After a short drive to a place called Curramulka we stopped to pick up a couple of caches on the return journey. The flies here were horrendous so it was Mr Pooky who braved the conditions and made the find. As the flies were persistent it was a quick sign and we were on our way again away from the flies. The Lake was a light pink colour today. If you don't like flies then I would give this cache a wide berth. TFTC. TNLN
We have done a few earth caches at similar locations over the years. Nothing amazing today - just a beige colour and a chill wind blowing. A quick find however at gz.
Found this with CherryRose on our 2nd day on Yorke Peninsula for the South Australian Rural Women’s Gathering which starts today. TFTC TNLNSL
Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets (F=1257 H=91) for the cache.

We joined forces with alansee, micaparamedic, Phetlern and The Drovers for an assault on the Gone fishn series and after we had finished these we settled into exploring this fantastic peninsula using caching as our guide.
This was the last cache for the day and it was a nice easy find
Many thanks for cache, to save room in the log we signed as Sneecks,

The Yorke Peninsula has always been a drawcard for us, with its iconic stone buildings and historic ruins and now of course - countless caches. In the very fine company of Alansee, Micaparamedic, Team Crackers and The Drovers, it was an awesome blast of fun adding some more smiley tokens to our collection.
Interesting to watch the "moods" of the lake.

Another pink lake, who would have thunk it...?
Have seen dozens of them around the place, more common than one thinks.
Replaced the broken cache with a brand new 200ml Sistema, logbook is fine, but a new baggie and transferred much if the swag too.
Thanks

Didn't know SA had another pink lake! Found, but container has disintegrated due to exposure and a large rock being placed on it. Log is damp but could still sign - sorta. TFTC

I'm staying in Moonta for Easter and today I decided to go for a drive south to get some caches that have been placed since I was last here as well as a few others along the way. [^]
I worked out my route so I didn't have to do too much back tracking and I set off on a lovely day for caching.
I had a great day driving along some cool dirt roads criss crossing the peninsula and ended up with 26 finds and no DNF's which I was very pleased about as I had had a frustrating day yesterday.
There were numerous shades of pink today with the sun shining.
Thanks for the cache Rocky Glen Grommets.

The GOTHs were back together for a couple of caching days. Today's crew was myself, Aussie M&M and mogni . So of course the travelling watermelon came out once again.
As usual it turned into fun and frivolity. Only two of the usual geocaching day out boxes of 'a fall' ,'blood being spilt', 'torn daks' and being 'outside my pocket query' were also ticked during the day. Where are we going I asked? Moonta area via Balaklava. So I only put 3,000 in - what are the chances we could stay in there. Absolutely none! - As usual. And the blood. - As Usual
Despite it being the end of summer there was even some water today making for some lovely reflections. Found the cache too. Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets.

Another lovely location.
Thanks

Day 3, camped at Minlaton, and took a drive to Curramulka & Port Victoria.
We picked up a good variety of caches, some a little trickier to find than others.

Traveling from Yorketown to Kadina today, only 130km by the shortest route, but that's not how geocachers travel it took me all day! Lots of detours and dirt tracks explored, great scenery, and a lot of fun finding caches along the way.
Another good find here, many thanks for placing a cache for others to find [^]

#15 of 15 finds this afternoon. Have spent the morning in Port Victoria as the weather is not being as kind to us as it has been the last 2 days, and we are now returning to our camp. We have had a wonderfully relaxed day and thank all those who have placed caches for me to find as we tour the area, especially RGG who have placed so many and their back up team who maintain them. Didn't see any Wombats, but you could see were they had been and the lake was a brilliant white. TFTC
A quick find was made here.
Have seen a few pink lakes in our travels now. This one was pink in the middle but still blue around the edges.
Thanks.

The lake was quite pink today with the prevailing waether conditions accentuating the colour of the water. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache Rocky Glen Grommets.
Found as a part of TheKellyGang, writing this as a genaric log as I was a part of TheKellyGang and am now out on my own.
If you do not agree with this you are more than welcome to delete the log.

A beautiful spot just as the sun was dropping down behind me. No wind, no rain, no flies, just the sound of some grumpy sheep in the distance. Perfect. TFTC.
The Parrot went for a drive around Yorkes for a couple of days and this was one of the many caches I found along the way.
Another trip to lower YP and a few more caches crossed off the list. Still a lot to go.

Aarrgghh! Yet another pink lake. What we're hoping for is another blue lake to rival Mt Gambier. But this wasn't it. Actually, it wasn't all that pink today either. More a sort of muddy brown like the Murray.
While visiting SA, took a drive in the wind and rain from Edithburgh to find a cache or two and take in the sights on the way.
South Australia 2013 with Sol de Lune. We headed off on 12/4 and arrived home on 28/4. The trip was to visit the SA series so more time could be spent at the Mega itself next year. We did a huge variety of caching around Murray Bridge, the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Whyalla Region. Apart from one wet night and two wet days we were able to spend heaps of time caching.
Today we were traveling on the Yorke Peninsula, the original destination for this trip for the third day. The night had been very windy and the first rain here for six months, so we were a bit wet. We spent the whole day and went from Pt Victoria to Yorketown. We went via as many of the towns as possible along the way. Everyone has done a great job of placing a great variety of caches and we had a great day.
Thanks.

Grabbed with Albida on our 2 week caching run from Canberra to, and around, different parts of South Australia including Loxton, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Yorke Peninsula and around to Whyalla before heading home via Broken Hill, Cobar and Parkes. We completed a few power trails and left a couple to do when in the area again for next years Mega event.
Overall a great many different styles and types of caches found. A great time was had caching for 16 days straight as well as camping along the way.

Some beautiful colours on the lake today.
We found this cache as part of our family YP camping trip. Over the 12 days we saw some fantastic scenes and did a heap of cool stuff. This really is a beautiful slice of our country. To top off an already wonderful trip, we also found 145 caches, 6 trackables, 1 pathtag and attended 1 event.
