second cache on the my Muswellbrook day trip. The walk up the hill was quite disappointing with garbage, discarded white goods etc. strewn everywhere. Nevethelss, a nice view and the cache was in the expected place. Took coin and left key ring and purse. TYFTC,

28-May-11
In the Hunter for the weekend to visit the grandchild at school on grand-parents day in Scone. Why not pick up a cache while we are in the area?. Drove right to the GZ and quickly picked up the prize. TNLN signed the log and were on our way.
A very nice outlook from this vantage point over the surrounding countryside.

OMG those little cactus were savage. The shoe really was on the other foot, for once I had thongs on and Luke had shoes. Man did he laugh. Those spikes still had plenty left after going through a thong. All that and no sign of an easy cache....

22-Apr-11
We drove the Geostar right up to GZ. Beautiful views from up here. Unfortunately for us the cache was no where to be found. We located a pile of georocks but no container.

21-Apr-11
Sorry cache has been muggled.

15-Apr-11
Reperio at 1215. After grabbing a bite to eat, Darwinian and I drove up to the car park coords, ate our lunch and then headed over to GZ. What a great view. Searched around a little before spotting the cache, and then realised I had a few too many cactus spikes in my shoes...Once they were removed, it was back to the car.

Gratias Havago.

17-Mar-11
A great view and an easy find.
The souvenir card is a good idea if you can sustain the supply. There were four or five left when I put the cache back. [^]

Took a card; Left multi-tool

08-Mar-11
Great view of my old home town. TFTC

24-Jan-11
Dropped in to this one to pick up the trackable.

Cute little fellow.

I am going to take him to one of my favourite caches in the area which just so happens to also be by Havago.

Approached GZ and was a little shocked to see that the previous location had been exposed. A quick search around the original location revealed a suspicious looking object that hid the cache.

Still a very good cache.

Our 4692nd overall find.

A nice spot to sit and have your morning tea. It was a bit windy today so it was a quick find and then a sit in the car and enjoy my pluto pup. It's amazing how many holes you can see from here.

Thanks to Havago for the cache. *Overall Experience: 3* http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Rating

Found on a sunny, but VERY windy day. It's a great cache, well hidden, a probably would be much harder to find except there are not a lot of alternate hiding places close by. It is a shame about all the rubbish left lying around or dumped by grots! Drpped off the Searching for Sushi TB and took the little hot rod TB. Thanks Havago for the very fine cache.

Report: Already gaining an appreciation for Havago Caches, two from two beauts so far. Even having lived in the Brook for 2 years I had never come up here. Today after an aborted attempt to get the 2WD Ute up the muddy track I walked up the muddy slippery hill to avoid getting bogged! On a dry day you'd just need to watch the ruts and a 4x4 would have no real issues making this a DB. Great view from the top, a GCA Trig nearby if you are interested in such things and a well hidden cache. Great to spend some time in my old town again. Cheers!

24-Sep-10
very well hidden. not a byson tube but a small container

24-Sep-10
Very clever hide. Almost didn't find it.
Found this one with the help of nici160, not quite sure why she thought it was a bison tube though...
Ran into some muggles that we knew so we had to wait around for a while chatting until they had to leave. Then someone drove up in a ute while we had the cache out in the open, so we had to quickly stuff it in nici160's handbag and return it after he had gone.

Took earring left marbles. TFTC

Toowoomba 10.2. A great place to see the town from. Track is a bit rough for a lookout, but the handrail indicates they expect some visitors. Thanks.

I headed out with the intention of grabbing this one but when I saw the dirt road I decided against it. Given the amount of rain we have had and having been bogged once already this trip I was a little gun shy....! Red Face I'll grab it next trip TFTC

05-Jul-10
Found it. The kids were very excited. GPS was spot on. Left screwdriver bit. Thanks

30-Jun-10
This was our first time Geocaching so it was an exciting find. We took the Travel Bug, and left a lovely pair of earrings and a necklace. Thanks for the great hide and views of the town and surrounds, have lived here all my life, but would never have witnessed the great views if we had not been searching for this cache. We signed log book too, now to move TB on... Very Happy

The Geoboy enjoyed bouncing the old 4x4 up to the top to find this one. Nice view on a crisp winters morning.

Easy drive to the top and a quick find. A very extensive view and I could see quite a few previous work sites including Bengalla Mine which was just cow paddocks when I was there in the early '90s. Bit of a blot on the landscape these days. Thanks Havago for bringing me up here.

03-Mar-10
I don't know what other cachers were talking about. I drove right up to this one easily in a low slung Subaru. Nice views from GZ Thanks for the diversion.

Great spot - very hilly. Stopped the territory with about 500 metres to go.

30-Jan-10
I think we took the roughest track up there! Lucky we had a patrol, a Cruiser couldn't make the track we used to get there. Fairly simple hide, found in a minute or two. Co-Ordinents are smack on. TNLN. TFTC.

25-Jan-10
Nice drive up to a nice view.
Took nothing, left a Pokemon keyring.

24-Jan-10
Wow - there really are some great views from up here. We were glad that we were in the 4WD to get up to GZ as it was quite a bumpy ride to get there. There really was only one obvious hiding place and sure enough - there it was. Took some photos of the great views as well as the great looking Stina! on tour Geocoin. Signed log - TFTC

13-Jan-10
Hey thanks for the hide and the view was great i think the gps did not know what it was doing as it took us right around the base and then straight up gave the land cruiser a run for its money on some of the ledges and climbs but we made it to the top was not to hard to find just got out of car walked over to it and pulled it out of the hideing spot but it was a great view.

Thanks heaps

First time our new VW campervan has been ‘off road’ but “no worries†it coped with the incline and we drove to within 10 metres of the cache location. We were second to sign the book and lingered to admire the panoramic view.
Pity about the garbage though. TFTC

04-Jan-10
FTF for (mrs) Riptide while I was still checking my GPS. Managed to drive right up to cache. Great views of the area.

02-Jan-10
Australian Flag coin visited!

02-Jan-10
Trying for my first FTF on the way home from QLD.
The wife and kids were frazzled, and due to rain, we couldn't drive up to the GZ.
so after abandoning the family and going for a bit of a walk, i finally got there.

I found HEAPS of rubbish. If anyone tried to clean this place up it'd look like Bengalla open cut coal mine on the opposite hill.

but I came up empty. maybe it was the clouds throwing out my GPS, maybe it was the family on the bottom of the hill, but I just couldn't spend the time here like I wanted.

great view from up here, and a trig point (minus the discs and plaques) on the way up.

damn. I really wanted this FTF.
