I was there, but in the moment, you cant get the cache because there is a big constructionside
Another stop during our cruise – Suva Fiji
Here we hired a car to explore the island.
Our first stop was the pearl South Pacific Resort, this cache is currently watched, as there are renovations and construction projects undertaken.
The guard was convinced so we could look for the cache.
Thanks and best regards from Germany

Didn't attempt this as GZ was humming with construction workers around lunchtime. Also got to within 30metres, but not confident to approach security or workers. Had hoped for this to be my first cache in Fiji ... but it wasn't to be ... c'est la vie.
Spoke with the security guard who then got the site Manager, Scott an Aussie who now knows all about Geocaching was very accommodating taking us on site to find cache if it was quick but unfortunately we could not find. Suggest to take this cache down whilst the construction is underway as it could pose a danger going on the site.
In Fiji on a work conference and stayed an extra night @ The Pearl after everyone had left to have some relax time. Went for a shark dive in the morning and then later on decided to have a look at where this one might be. Got to within 30m of GZ without going into the construction area but I could see the likely spot. As it was late on a Saturday afternoon, and with no construction people around, I decided to see if the cache was still there. Ducked around the fence and made my way quickly to GZ. Fortunately GZ is kind of hidden from prying eyes and so I had a quick look around. Found the likely hide spot and bingo, the cache was still there. Grabbed, opened it up and signed the log before returning the cache to its hide spot. Super happy to have found our first cache in Fiji. Will definitely have to cone back to find more along the coast!
As for this one, well, sure its currently within a construction zone, but I don't think there is any danger to the cache itself being taken out of play, so if there is no one around, I'd say go for it... TFTC.

GrimRaider and I made our way down to the Pacific Harbour to grab this cache. We hired a car from Lautoka and made the drive all the way down here, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way and grabbing all the caches. We also picked up a local policeman who had waved us down and gave him a lift into the Pacific Harbour station - we thought he was going to book us at first haha. We then made our way towards gz but found the area surrounded by construction fences with no way to get to the cache. Suggest that the cache be disabled or moved. Thanks anyway - we had a great day and got to see lots of Fiji
Out with brother Colin on a shore tour. We grabbed this one at the Pearl Resort where. I'm not sure if this one will be around for much longer as we had to duck behind the construction site fence as the resort is going through major rennovations.
We could possibly be the last to find this one
I reccomend the cache owner contacts their local cache maintainer to relocate this one.
Thanks for the Cache

My friend and I are on a cruise with Princess and today w are in Suva.
But the is no caches in Suva.
But I did find a shore excursion to The Pearl resort where is there a cache.
A quite find but the resort is having a few renovations done at the moment and GZ is just out of bounds.
So we ducked around the fence and made the find, grabbed the TB and headed back to the bar.
Thanks for the cache.

Stayed the week here at Fiji Palms in Pacific Harbour. Great time golfing, lounging by the pool, hanging out at the Baka Blues Cafe. Stopped in on our last day and left a trackable (there was no room I the cache so left it beside). Guard suggested they may soon be working on the building where this geocache is stored so may need to be moved.
My first find in Fiji! Found on a quiet Sunday after a shark dive in Beqa Lagoon. A nice security guard came over to congratulate me on finding the cache and said I was the second this month. Thanks for placing the cache! I hope it survives all of the construction in the area.
This was our last cache on the second day of our CoralCoast tour. When we came close to the location we realised that the cache is inside a private property and that we had to pass a guard to get in. We parked the car and walked up to the guard. After we had explained what we were doing he agreed to let us get the cache. The cache was easily found and logged.
Thanks for the cache and greetings from two swedish cachers.

Stayed in the resort and went out hunting on a cloudy morning. Looked in the wrong spot first-GPS didn't pick up enough satellites. Eventually found it. Dropped a trackable.
Spent the morning doing something ridiculous: scuba diving with over 50 bull sharks on the Beqa Lagoon. It was the one activity I really wanted to do while in Fiji, and it did not disappoint. The dive masters hand fed them and at times they were less than 3 m from me. It was an incredible experience.
On leaving the scuba diving company, I knew I had to go find this cache. However, it took me a few minutes to figure out how to access it as the sign for Rivers Fiji seems to be down now. I spoke with the security guard at the gate to the Pearl Resort and while he had no idea what I was talking about, he was happy to let me go exploring in this area which is otherwise off-limits due to construction. When I got to the GZ, I hadn't been there for more than 10 seconds when I heard "above your head, to your right!" I guess the construction workers have been enjoying the number of people coming to look for this one.
This cache now has the (likely permanent) distinction of being the easternmost cache I've ever found. It was also an excellent milestone for my 1,500th find. A real pleasure to look for it. TFTC.

My first and only find in Fiji while over here for a friends wedding, who were staying at Resort.
A quick find after asking security guard if was ok to enter construction area.
Unfortunately for me,my gps didnt have any basemaps on it,so everything was blue background.
Didnt help me find any other caches in Fiji, but I am glad that I managed to get at least one.

We found this easily without talking to the guard. We seemed to enter from a different direction and didn't see him till we were leaving. All good. Oue second find in Fiji.
BULA!! Found this while visiting the resort. I too had to word up the securiy guard but he was very good about it. TN left Aussie key ring. A great place to spend the day. TFTH
This was a nice easy find in the grounds of the resort I am staying at. However, I asked the security guard's permission first as the GZ is in an area cordoned off due to redevelopment. TFTC
Our final cache for the day (it is difficult to cover a lot of ground in Fiji with rough roads and slow drivers!) and this one didn't disappoint.
We introduced ourselves to the security guard and he granted us access to the construction site. Once we had located the correct GZ - we had a couple of false starts, including waking a sleeping worker! - the cache as soon in hand!
Great end to a great day and looking forward to picking up a few more tomorrow before heading to the airport and home.

Found today with the geowife. First one outside Australia!!! Area around the cache is under construction but asked security gaurds close by and they were cool about us going in and having a look. Pretty quick find. Dropped a geocoin i brought from Aus. tftc.
First find in Fiji. Got all the way to it and battery died on GPS. Found today thanks. Out repairing a building out at South Pacific Bible College. Having a great trip except very hot. All locals keeps saying it is cold and winter. Thanks
Was able to go snorkeling also before I left also.
Was able to go snorkeling also before I left also.
We were staying just 150m away, but with a construction fence around ground zero and security on the gate who knew nothing of the cache, we were not inclined to search further.
Found after a luxurious week on Royal Davui Island. We spoke to the Island's General Managers over drinks on our last evening. Who assisted us in getting to Bega Island to pick up the only one on the island before heading back to Pacific Harbour where we got a quick find on this one. As we arrived near GZ four gardeners approached and one asked if we were looking for “that” as he pointed toward the cache. Considering they already knew about the cache I figured it was OK to explain and said yes. We asked how they knew about it the cache and one said that he was the caretaker of the cache. After completing the log and grabbing the trackable we replaced it in it’s little hidey hole. (We also tried to fit another that we had on us into the container without luck, so we will have to find it a larger cache to continue its journey). All was going well until the gardener who said he was the caretaker stated that he might move the cache a little. This rang a few alarm bells and I only hope that if he does the cache owner knows about such a move. Although the cache was quite visible and exposed in its location it did appear to be fine where it was with no need to be moved.
Thanks for another Fiji find,
Cheers & Happy Hunting

After our ship was docked at Suva we were taken by coach to Pacific Harbour Arts Village to take part in the Pacific Harbour Cultural Extravaganza. Upon arriving we found we had a little time up our sleeves and so headed for this cache about a kilometre away. Upon reaching GZ we met two local men, one of whom was very familiar with what we were looking for. A word I am now very used to hearing and saying "Bula" was exchanged and the log signed in our first cache in Fiji. We arrived back at the Arts Village just in time to be serenaded and led to our show. I was highly impressed with the performance and am still in awe of the Fijian Firewalkers. Found with Jamie2750.
We found this while leaving Royal Davui yesterday , special thanks for Johnny's Car Service for his patience while we looked
Staying next door so this was an easy cache to obtain. Weather has been a little showery but not too hot. Leaving tomorrow to head east north and west back to Nadi. Beautiful people- beautiful country.
Thanks OCfootprints.

On my way along the south coast of Fiji my GPS showed me that there is a cache nearby. I made a u-turn with my car and had doubt whether they grant access to the resort.
No problem at all. When I approached the opened the barrier and let me drive in without any questions. I first searched at the wrong building and its owner was not aware of Geocaching. While walking the few metres to the other building I spotted the box. The owner of this building was aware of the cache and informed also the other owner.
After a very nice chat with the locals I continued my journey.
Vinaka for the cache!

TFTC ! Our first Cache overseas very exicted. Picked up our first trackable as well (Hope I get it right)
We were in Fiji for my wife's 50th birthday.
She's from Naimasimasi village in Tailevu which is where my Fiji cache is... named Bula Maleka.
I had a great solo bus ride to Pacific Harbor to see Roko in her shell shop (Arts Market) and to find this cache!
Menehune Man was hea!

Great spot - loved spending our days at this resort! Grabbed geo-ingot. TFTC Felix!
We turned the GPS on in the Pearl and was amazed to find this cache only a few hundred metred from where we were hard at work relaxing at the cocktail bar. The track show s a few laps of the building before we honed on the prize. Muggle deception technique failed - the locals knew about the cache....... what a laugh!!! Clear skies from TeamAstro.
I found this one as part of my afternoon exploring Pacific Harbour after a great morning spent shark diving with Aqua Trek.
I found it quickly, especially after a Rivers Fiji guide came out to investigate what I was doing.

Found while on a work visit to the island and rescued the TBs. Great cache placement, I had tried unsuccessfully to find this on my last visit but easy find this time TFTC.
Started of by looking in the corner of the wrong building. When we finally got the right building it didn't take long to grab it. Bloke inside told us he hadn't even heard about geocaching until this cache had been placed, and then was stunned by how many people have actually visited to find it. This was our 4th and last find for the day.

After having breakfast we realised we were only 300 feet from this cache! We navigated to a place we stayed at 4 years ago, where has the tennis court gone? I beat Kimbo here!
After a 5 seconds search a possible guardian came and pointed out what we were looking for, we would have easily found it given half a chance!
Anyway explained the Geocaching story and we think we have recruited a new member!
Dropped 2 TB’s but no coins present!

The place was really deserted when I got there. So it was easy to grap the little container quickly.

We had a car for a day so we could drive around a bit to see the sites and grab some caches. This was the furthest we went from Nadi. A quick find once at GZ with one of the locals who knows about the cache looking on and giving encouragement !! Thanks for the opportunity for a cache here in Fiji OCfootprints !!

This was as far as went on our drive from Nadi. Arrived at GZ and was helped by one of the local maintenance workers who need where the cache was. After signing the log it was across the road for lunch before the drive back.
Thanks for another neat location.

We came to Fiji on the Sea Princess, a stop along the way on our 29 day cruise from San Francisco to Sydney. I negotiated with one of the tour operators at the dock in Suva to have a taxi drive me to the nearest cache. In a straight line the cache was about 24 miles as the crow flies. It turned out to be a 63 mile round trip. It rained all the way to the cache and back, sometimes very heavily. All the water running across and along the sides of the road reminded me of Las Vegas during our thunderstorms. My driver, Roderick, got a big kick out of my explanation of geocaching. When we got to the area of the cache the workers near the site knew what I was looking for. Roderick had a good time explaining geocaching to them in more detail. I think the consensus among the three was that I was another crazy American. All three watched me retrieve the cache and sign the log.
I picked up a 2008 British Columbia Geocaching Association geocoin. I dropped a good luck coin I picked up from a cache in American Somoa.
Thanks for the cache. This is my furthest from home cache, west or east depending which way you travel. On this trip we came west.

Local men were at work repairing a raft. They knew what was going on with the cache so watched and then cheered.

We were staying up the road with family, so this cache was a must do. Stopped by just on dark, and managed a quick find once we identified the correct building! The coords had us by the next one along! It was getting dark as we found the cache, but I don't recall noticing any geocoins in the cache.
