In this area sorting out my Woodside Rd cache, so I wandered along to here.No sign of it tucked in to tree or on ground, sorry .
We didn't find it today! We will be back with the rest of our clan to try again. Mr 8 is off school with a never ending cough so we saw a new cache close by from supernanny and headed out to catch it and then an explore bought us near to this one also. Mr 8 is needing to go home again now so i couldn't search as long as I'd like. TFTC great park to find and we will be back with the whole clans eyes and hopefully health.
Bei einem Spaziergang durch Ranui einen wunderschnen Fluss, dank des Cashes entdeckt. Vielen Dank.
As we approached GZ we saw a muggle with a bucket sliding down the bank at the side of the bridge. Not sure what he was doing, possibly fishing but there was no sign of a rod.We crossed the bridge above him and once at GZ spotted the very nice camouflaged hide. After re-hiding the cache we checked on the muggle who was still down below with his bucket trying not to slip over and staring intently into the water. Thanks kiwicouple for a great cache and congratulations on your one year milestone back in 2010, glad to see your addiction hasn't worn off and you are still going strong. It's always nice to find an older hide, especially one that marks a milestone and its great to see that this one is still in place.
#13,701. I am up in Auckland doing some seabird monitoring for 10 days. I had to head into Mitre 10 to get some field supplies so decided to pick up a few caches while in the area. This was one of them. Found an entrance way to the reserve and headed off to GZ. After a few short circuits I spotted the nicely camoed cache. Signed the logsheet and replaced the cache as found. Thanks kiwicouple for hiding it here and introducing me to this walkway. Well done on achieving 1200 finds in your first year. I set myself a target of completing the date hidden grid in my first year. Had to put in some effort to locate the last elusive dates. One of them didn't exist in the Wellington region at the time so had to track one down in Auckland. I fixed that by hiding a cache on that date.
As soon as I had crossed the bridge I saw the likely host. Glad of the hint that you don't need to go to the stream side of the tree. Spotted the cache straight away even with its amazing camo.
Brilliant camo! We took advantage of a break in the rain to take a quick walk, and some spontaneous caching occurred. . Found with Kiwimarble.
Great cammo. Was staring straight at it and still took a bit to clock it
Great trees
Great trees
New cache is in place.
After a recent slip the tree is now a bit closer to the drop than it used to be. There is no need to go onto the stream side of the paperbark tree.

A new camoed cache is now in place, a bit higher in the tree than the old one.
Our thanks to Supernanny for rescuing the old container and bringing us some more of the camo material.

Found a small empty bottle near bark tree but unfortunately bottle was empty with no lid on the ground next to the tree we couldn’t find the lid and had no paper to replace.
Was a nice find! Container was empty and I didn’t have anything to fill it with but maybe next time I’m in the area I’ll bring some paper.
Very nice camo, but it was a quick find, and there's no logbook to be found. Nice cache however by a beautiful location, TFTC
Logbook missing, but the cache is still there, waiting to be found by others.
Not in the paperbark tree sadly. Looked around to see if it had fallen but no luck
Geocaching is not advisable during Level 4 lockdown.
Do your part at eliminating this virus and DO NOT find this cache.

Found it on ground. Sadly lid was off and nothing inside. Great camouflage though! Have replaced in tree.
Down here along the stream and parked at the end of the road to do the ones on either side. All good here and replaced as found.
Took a little extra time to have my lunch on the go and head off and do some local caches while I'm working over this side of the area for the day. I headed into uncharted territory (not really, the charts on Geocaching.com showed some options). Managed a few new ones and some more hidden treasures of parks and green space that goes unnoticed by most except for the locals, and us Geocachers of course!

Phone died as soon as we arrived at cache point so didnt have the help of the hint or the previous logs. However great find And also that cameo!!!
Found on a peaceful, sunny, spring morning walk!! Nice spot (bridge is now open) and best camo I have seen yet - very creative!
A bit of caching in West Auckland today. Bridge is closed for renovation but no workers on Sunday so I was able to pass it. Great camo. Simply and effective. T4TC
In the area for the National athletics. Stopped here first, a nice walk through the park, past all the shopping trolleys abandoned in the creek. Sad. Great hide though, nice camo, made easy with the useful hint. All good here. TFTC
Found with the help from the local council who was involved in retrieving the numerous shopping carts from the stream, he was very impressed with the Camo and will be taking out his 5 year old son caching this weekend
Allok here, thanks!
Allok here, thanks!
Located this one all safe and well, great job with the camo! Kiwitrecker1 and I are enjoying exploring this park today. TFTC!
After a day waterblasting at home, I figure I've earned a treat, so after returning the equipment to the hire place I looked at the map to find a nearby cache. This fitted the bill. On my quick walk to the cache, was impressed to count TEN supermarket trolleys in the creek! Thanks - nice hide!
Wow, I honestly didn't know this type of tree existed, amazing location for a cache and the camo was perfect! Kusos for that! amazes me what nature can do, didn't bring a pen to sign irl,(whoops) but thank you!
Great hide, creative cache. Might hear some dogs BARKING nearby, some muggles maybe around so be stealth, but lucky for us we found it. Great find for the kids too. TFTC
Looks like this one needs checking. Will take a replacement in the next couple of days.
Thanks for replacing Alunb, came here while back and Dnf, now know why as this was first place I looked last time. Awesome camo, TFTC
After a short hunt around, I found this on the ground nearby. Based on the hint and the camo, I replaced back in the most likely spot at around hip height, TFTC
A rare day that we had to ourselves and reasonably sunny as well, so we set out nice and early on a Sunday to enjoy some caching in the west. After meeting Hemaludys at lunch we carried on caching together and walked to this cache, checked the wrong V initially and were almost fooled by the great camo. Almost! TFTC!
After a morning of housework and grocery shopping we headed out with the goal in mind to reach our 2500th cache by the end of the day (we needed 17 and we achieved it). We had almost dismissed GZ when we read a previous log which made us have one more look. Mrs NZT's eagle eyes spotted this great camo. Found with NZTravellers, darthcacher1 and purply.
I went to the hard entry point, but the remembered that this one has a parking waypoint, so I drove around to take the easier entry point. I got to GZ and did a little looking before I noticed a shape that told me this was the cache. The camo is so good it blends in well with the hiding spot. TFTC.
Seeing this one replaced brings me here this morning and the camo fits nicely here. TFTC
The entire entourage of kiwiscot19 went out to claim this find. Having failed to detect it 28 months ago we returned and made the well camo'ed find. Very pleased to now gain a smiley face. Kiwi had never been here so we wandered over the bridge , managing to squeeze in a few games of pooh sticks - never to old it appears. Thanks for getting the cache up and running again. We look forward to your next big milestone geocache ....2000 streak days perhaps ? TFTC
At a CITO event so decided to do this one but to no avail with people who had done it before and they confirmed it wasn't in its hiding place.
Possibly taken. Cannot find it. We found the nice textured tree though. Owner might have to come and investigate. Note someone was there two days before us and couldn't find it either.
What more to be said, a resounding fail. Looked and looked, coming away empty handed having wasted a lot of time looking. Will keep an eye on it and return when confirmation it is there ( which we assume it is !! )
Out with Hughie_ for some cachin' while the Mrs and little one were resting.
Excellent camo! Good job! Took a couple of snaps from the other side of the bridge. Picked this one up on the way to GC5GJDT.
Cheers

Cool camouflage. Didn't have a pen will come back and fill in the log. Did a quick cache while taking the dogs for a walk
Gotcha. Pleasant walk. Never been here before. That's the joys of geocaching. Had some neat camo and that was an interesting coloured and textured tree lol
I was doing some painting so while I waited for the sealer coat to dry I popped out to pick up some caches. Excellent camo on this one, but I spotted it in the first place I looked.
Spent many a day down here when I was a kid. Nice to bring mine down here now. Nice hide.
Awesome camo. Not a quick find for us but my partner found it no problem.
Out nearby and looked for the nearest cache. Mr rebel had done this one many years ago, and for some reason I had it in my head that to approach GZ would be tricky? not sure why I thought that, as we parked at the parking co-ordinates, walked 90m on the path, over the bridge to GZ. Amazing location, sneaky hide, missed it on the first pass, but spotted it on the second. Very well camoed, perfect for where its hidden
Lol had to be really sneaky and quiet people walking past us lol but really good spot
Looked in several likely places, till I looked in the correct place. Some kids wandering around made it take longer than it should have. Nicely camoed
Up in Auckland for a birthday party, and spent my downtime caching. So many people, cars and humidity.
Thanks for the hide.
