Need to check

Given the limited amount of space to host a cache, and the previous DNFs, I think this one has gone. Perhaps the CO could check?

After a walk to the keyhole, a quick trip up the headland to try to find this cache. Searched well but sadly no luck today.

Looked around for a bit, the hint meant it was a very specific location to look in, but there was nothing there. Perhaps this one got muggled.

No sign of it. Even dug in the sand a bit

What a beautiful place to hide a cache. Thank you.

Found this one together with looki on our way down from the north with our campervan. A really nice and interesting location. We stayed the night near the beach. And in the morning we walked to the cache. Great view!

Last cache before calling it a day. Nice sunset clouds in the sky as I trekked to the location. Find was quick, but the container needs some help, as the lid is cracked and the cache is keeping out water. It was low tide and I briefly considered heading down to check out the keyhole, but with the light going, I figured it would be best to just view it from above today. Thanks for the cache!

Had been down to check out the new blowhole track, returning up and over, love this spot so peaceful despute the thundering waves

We rock hopped around the base, and are now returning via the top track. In June I missed this cache completely (I had turned off the GPS!) as I walked the new track that was being formed to the beach. A welcome rest spot, urbangypsynz located the cache, the log a little damp, but no problems signing due to the paper used by CO.

Great spot, no luck today in the fading light.

A nice quick find here on the way past with evilno9, Paultaps, Greenblat and evilno9. Log was soaking so gorby replaced with a new one and left inside a nice dry bag. A great view of the keyhole from here, TFTC!

Came by here with the gang, evilno9, mike-miss, Greenblat, Paultaps and myself. Love the views from here as before at your other cache north of here. I found the cache on this occasion, upon inspection, I see it is so wet that it will never be signed again, so I left dry paper in a new plastic bag and we reposited it into the container. Hopefully it might stay dry for awhile G. The views from here are amazing as usual. The winds today though are strong, even an hour before low-tide the waves were impressive coming thru 'The Gap'. Alright, the adventure continues for our merry band of keen cachers.

Cache was waterlogged so needs new log book.

No muggles around mid-week in winter. Enjoyed spending the morning exploring the southern end of Piha - visiting the blowhole, climbing Taitomo Island etc.
Log was dripping wet so couldn't sign. Took a photo instead.

Found it with the family. Superb lookout on the agitated see. We enjoyed the walk just for sunset

We had spotted a couple almost camped out here as we were approaching. Fortunately as we arrived they were in the process of moving on and packed their stove and left. A quick easy find but would have been difficult to do while they were lying on the seat.

Very well concealed cache! Admired the keyhole from the beach but the tide was a little high to venture through. TFTC.

Yey we found it! Out of five caches today this is only the second find. But what a great place for a cache. Ten years ago when I used to frequent this area a lot, I used to walk this path regularly and often would stop at this point, that was the days before geocaching, so it's great to come back here again and take in the views across Piha.

Rough seas today made for excellent views of the water rushing through the Gap today. Found with the kids before heading on to the blowhole. TFTC!

Tough hunt! Introduced the game to a group that came scrambling up from down on the beach. Luckily got the find. Cache in good condition, thanks.

Wow, the waves were just smashing the rocks today. Spray flying up superhigh. No place to be in the water between the gap down there if you didn't want to get munted. Cheers for the cache.

Had been to the keyhole yesterday at low tide. Now at high tide from this view point really incredible watching the waves belt in this area

Easy to get this one. Some huge drops of rain soon cleared the area of muggles, so great opportunity to nab this one

A great location. Spoilt somewhat by someone having done a 'dump' very closeby so watch where you put your hands in the grass.

Had a look around in the grass as specified in the hint, but no luck. Compared with the photo of the cache location, it looks like some of the area has been trimmed back.

Cooooool place. Have watched this area on TV, so was wonderful to visit as really is an amazing place. Thankyou for sharing .

Even though we didn't find the cache, we are glad we made our way to GZ. Thought about alternative ways to get to the beach, but decided we did not want to make it onto the TV programme.

Waited for the rain to stop and then went for a walk. Spectacular views, although blasts of cold wind kept us moving along. Thought we might not have many other people on the track, but plenty of tourists. Helped them with their photo's, and then the rain started up again. We spent a while looking, the young band about to give up but another of review of the clue and we had it. TFTC

We decided to spend the day in the wild wild west and although it was dry and sunny it was blowing a gale and the height and power of the waves was an amazing sight. This was our first time up this track as on previous visits it had been closed. Quick find today as we had the place to ourselves but the were quite a few muggles down below TFTC.

Quick find after an enjoyable walk up here, first time to this part of Piha. Very cool! TFTC

A find for the 5yo while the rest of us enjoyed the view after "helping" the 2yo up the climb from the beach.

Went up the track admiring this awesome place and once at the coordinates the cache was located nice and easy. Great views from here. Piha is indeed an awesome spot.

Carried on along the track up from the beach, to our last find of the day. Fairly straight forward clue and description, and before long we had the find. Amazing spot out here. Would highly recommend it. TFTC!!

One last find the for the day for us out at Piha today, the tide was well out but the weather was starting to pack it in so a quick find was much appreciated here. The plastic bag for the logbook is starting to look worse for wear but otherwise all was well here. Another great spot at my favourite beach. TFTC

Found together with kimberlit1905 during our day in Piha - it was our first (real) day in New Zealand, and the first experience of driving on the left side of the road... luckily, we made it safely there and back to Auckland
Finding the cache took us quite some time, it was very well hidden, but thanks to the hint we found it in the end.

Found it on the way back to Piha without muggels. On the way to the Key hole it has had to many people around to search.

Really nice walk, but wouldn't have come if there wasn't a cache here. (Sad how that is often the case, isn't it?) Thanks a lot for making us come out here, a really spectacular view!! Didn't get down to the key hole itself as the tide was coming in, but took some photos and really enjoyed ourselves. TFTC A favourite for us!
