Sadly, after all this time and the many many finds by newbie cachers and overseas visitors, - the cache has gone, and I'm not going to replace it.
At a recent gathering of southern cachers, a plan was hatched. We need favourite points
..but where to find them????
Dunedin was the decision.
I had to work on my A game to convince the co driver that attendance was compulsory....
Decisions to raid the more northern caches was made. So off we set.
A stealthful approach from the south was made easier with all the Highlanders fans heading to town.
At the border, we dropped the rrrs and picked up our scarves, to blend in with the uni types.
Up nice and early and out for a run on my return to the camp I rewarded my self with a cache or two .
A quick search soon had coach in hand and log signed.
Great spot for an early morning run.
Thanks for the hide

Went to find this last week but workers were nearby. All clear today. Tftc

This is day three of a ten day trip down to Dunedin and back to move my daughter to Dunedin so she can get her master’s degree at Otago University.
The first two gruelling days were a mad dash to get there and unload my van full of her stuff at her new flat. I earned the eight days to drive back home finding caches all the way.
Dogs must be really interested in Ruby since they do their business all along this fence. I got lucky and found it in the first place I looked, then carefully avoided any of the messes. TFTC.

Found after a walk along the beach. Super quick find, gps was spot on here and no need to resort to hint. Removed some sticky sweets that someone had put in the cache and left a TB that I have been struggling to find a cache big enough to hold. Tftc!
My pen not working so haven't signed sorry. Guessing the broadleaf has grown a lot in 8 years. A bit hard to see the hint Tftc
Took a while to location hint objects, then couldn't find cache at hint location. Replaced to where it needed to go.
Standing at GZ all I could smell was dog poo, I looked down and noticed I'd stood in nice big juicy one... grrrrr.... Cache took a while to locate because it wasn't where the clue indicated it was, replaced it where it should have been. TFTC
Was sitting about a metre out from fence in the open. Replaced where I thought it should be. In great condition. Thanks for bringing us here.
Had to pretend we will tipping sand out of our shoes while dog waking muggles passed by
Found with zero stealth and maximum determination. Great camouflage meant we were looking in the right place but just not seeing. Hurrah for long arms.
Fortunately all the children playing were not interested in our antics at all. Glad we found it
Tftc. Coordinates were a bit off but with my phone, it could happen. Told me it was 7m towards the ocean after the fence. But by looking at the picture, I knew that it wasn't behind it so had a look around and found it.
Container was a little exposed so I made sure that it was not so obvious in placing it back.
First to find this year. Thanks for the geocoin. Never been to this field so very cool. TFTC
Well I'm in town for a couple of events and while my boys were busy watching some movie I decided to go for a walk. By the time I started walking towards this cache I was running out of hope, two did not looks due to muggles and one did not find for the day. I wasn't even sure I could find the hint item.
Maybe it's under there, in that case 1, 2, 3 and there was the cache. Now to retrieve it, thankfully my arm was long enough.
The cache was in good condition. I took the track tag that was there.
Thanks for the cache.

First find for the two of us - easier to spot than to retrieve. Sunny day and fortunately had a window without any inquisitive dogs and their owners but as leaving the park also spotted another vaulting over the fence into the bush as commented on earlier??! TFTC #1
Had a bit of a stretch to get to it..but as we were walking back to the road a Muggle was approaching us..We just said hello, but he went right over to GZ and climbed over the fence. He didn't appear to be a Cacher as he had nothing in his hands..EG Phone or a GPS..Mmmm realy strange..LTB TFTH..
Took a while to locate with two minis running out of patience. Got there in the end!
Found it after phone died... but we did need help from a couple lads who had been kicking a rugby ball about. Tip: easier to see looking over fence than under.
I'm on a south island tour on my recumbent bike and stayed at the holiday park last night. Visiting Dunedin today.
No luck with this cache today.

Success this morning. No sand piles for cover this morning and a little stinky from manure top soil. Tftc
Lovely afternoon for a walk along the beach and to get a couple of caches in the area. Was on the wrong side of the dune but great fun making our way to the top and over. TFTC
Good to go again. Now you have an artificial sand dune between you and muggles, so even easier than before!
This cache is inaccessible at present- its on the far side pf a construction zone- may be some time before I can enable it.
Found with Minyakano after a day of exploring and caching. Thanks for the cache.
Found easy today looked last winter and it definitely wasn't were it was today. So good to tick this on off.
We had a walk on the beach and climbed from there to the field.
No problems with the cache.
TFTC, greetings from Finland!

Last time I was in Dunedin four years ago I couldn't find it but it appears someone had put it in the wrong place.
No trouble finding it this time but getting it in and out was another story!
As I was about to sign the log a dog from way over the other side came up and asked me very nicely if I would play ball with it l so I quickly hid the cache under my backpack in case the dog owner spotted it, then I had some fun throwing the ball trying to get it far enough to encourage the dog to go back to its owner so I could get on with the job of logging! Succeeded eventually.
Removed a cigarette lighter as these are not appropriate swag, and one live cockroach! Nicely stocked cache once these items were excluded.
Was glad I chose to get up early to do this one as it was a pleasant walk at around sunrise but once the sun did get up it was getting unbearably hot by the time I headed back to my accommodation. This is in complete contrast to my previous expedition down here when it was cloudy and windy.
Gets a favorite point, TFTC.
