I wondered why no-one had logged this for months. I think it may have gone. Found the lone pine and gave the area a good look, but no luck. If CO is passing, maybe give it a check?
#3608. I had a work trip to Canterbury on the Thursday and Friday but decided to stay over on the weekend to fit in a couple of big caching days. I am working on the DGSC challenge and need some 50+ days for the bulk find elective. So Saturday and Sunday were earmarked for getting some big totals. Managed to locate about 130 caches over the weekend and about 150 over 4 days. Decided today I would do the lolly scramble series of caches along this road and any other caches encountered. It was a really enjoyable series with well themed containers. Once I got my eye in, the finds sped up as the day progressed. Certainly a very warm early autumn day (high of 29 degrees). Having driven past this one, I was looking at nearby caches and saw this one was a large cache. I love large containers. So turned the car around and went back along the side road to find this one. Didn't take too long to locate amongst the long grass. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.
So so overgrown not the nicest cache to have to get to with waist height wet grass. nice sized container. On a 11 day caching trip around the south island. Log signed as b&p.Tftc NZTIKES. Find # 3341
A quick find while hunting out a few caches in the area this afternoon. Nice to see a really big cache! Signed log, TFTC
Today we enjoyed picking up caches from the lolly scramble trail, the fruit and vege trail, the cust trail and other various caches around the area. We found 50 caches altogether and had a great day. Caching with Injeanious and theBurnsy we signed the log books as JeJeBu to save time and space. Thanks to the cache owners for placing and maintaining the caches! Sorry for the cut and paste logs.
It's been a slow couple of months for me and Jess.daphne, so we decided to team up with The Burnsy and get a whole lot of caches. We headed off to pick up more of the Lolly Scramble, Fruit and Vege, and Cust trails, signing the logs as JeJeBu. We had a great day and grabbed 50 caches. Our best day yet! Thanks to the COs for the caches.
We were expecting something a bit different for this cache, but were surprised to find that it was very large and earthbound. All nice and dry in the cache. Tftc.

A good sized cache, certainly 9ne of the larger one's I've come across. Thanks for placing this cache.
We are having a few days in Chch visiting family and of course finding some caches as well. After a couple of days SW of the city today we headed NW and as well as most of the Lolly Scramble trail we found several others in and around the areas nearby.A great variety of containers and hides made it a very enjoyable day. The logs were signed HZ+HM, H+H, or on some case with our full names.Thank you to all the CO's for making these 59 finds possible today.
It was a combination of holidays, family visit and caching. Since our last visit lots of trails have appeared and there were many puzzles to be solved. And a lot of trads thrown in for good measure. We almost forgot what it's like to be cut, scraped, prodded, pricked, bruised and stabbed by the large variety of hedges you can find caches under in Canterbury. We were not deterred and it was fun to find them. On our way home again and trying to find as many caches as pos. In the end they made us stay another night in the area Thank you NZTIKES
Thought I'd give this a try as it was just off the lollie trail. The cache is a bit off the beaten track so watch your step. If you use the hint it should be easy enough. Cache container was the biggest I've ever seen! Thought surely that can't be it but after more searching realized it was. Thanks for the hide
cruising around north of the Wimak. did some 30+ boxes. nice series here.
easy find. Thanks
easy find. Thanks
Decided that on my last day of my holiday I'd do a blitz in the area before I fly home tomorrow, now a very tired bunny!

Last day in ChCh for Pagenz and myself so thought we would play the numbers game today but doing the lolly trail and a few others added into the mix. Another slight diversion from the lolly trail. TFTC
Today was allocated to be the day to do a run up South Eyre Rd to sample all the different lollies. Also to sign off other trads that were in/on the way.
Cheers for the cache.

[green] Out with Hanknstone, Haydn.seek and thestepahine on an awesome 200+ day. We managed to get 210 caches in 11 hours, an average of 3 minutes each. There were a few awesome caches out there, but mostly it was a blur. Thanks to all the cache owners, and my apologies about the cut and paste!

Hanknstone, Haydn.seek, the Seagnoid and I had a challenge of doing 200 caches in a day. We started at 7:30am and finished around 8:00pm with a total of 200+. Apologies for the copy and pasting of the logs but there were so many we found that it would take so long to write them all up individually! Thank you for the find.
The next on our 210 run finding caches for the day with our team of four- HHSS. Working as a team each doing diff. roles we were able to speed up the find rate quite well and we managed to do about the first 100 with no Did Not Finds but after that the distances increased and the find rate dropped but we still managed to finish the day with 210 cache. The seagnoid has planned etc our route so it was all efficient Thank you to The Seagnoid for this pre work and thank you to the different cache Owners for these great, interesting caches. I just ;loved the huge chupps chup and all the veges and fruit. . Thank you for the cache and another smiley face.
Out caching after the event this morning and picking up a few caches that I missed this way since I am not sure when I will be back to get them. A very dry riverbed was home to lots of orange flowers which was really nice. I just followed the geotrail to the cache. Cheers NZTIKES for the cache!
Out and about with Team FARKIS (fmz, alpenmilch80, rosmar, kiwi.bug, indianajill, slieschke) finding a great mix of cache hides and cache containers. What a mad bunch of cachers to be with, loads of fun and games with very little sleep over the 3 nights of the MEGA TFTC.
Out and about during the mega event with Team FARKIS (fmz, alpenmilch80, rosmar, kiwi.bug, indianajill, slieschke). This was one of the caches we found during the weekend. TFTC!!!
Our team for the Mega weekend was signing as VYV (Vamber, Yorkshirekiwi83 and Vistra). we found quite a few in the short space of time we were together, where I can I will make comments about the cache. We had teamed up back in Auckland and had been busy planning what we were going to target and in what order, of course plans changed even more so when we were down here, but that is part of what makes it fun and I had a great time over the weekend, thanks to all the CO's for placing.
Back up to the trail, and a quick find TFTC

A quick find here. Thanks for the hide.

Day 3 in Christchurch and I again teamed up with yorkshirekiwi83 and vamber for another big day of caching. We signed the logs as "VYV" to save time and space on the logs. We made an early start to the day as we knew we would be going for 200 caches. We started with the Lolly Scramble caches (which we had begun the night before) and made our way up to Oxford, before returning to Kaiapoi and working on the Horses 101 series, finding a number of other caches along the way. Apologies for the generic logs, but thank you to all the cache owners for placing these caches!

Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!

Nihth day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards south. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. We made it to Christchurch, so now it is time to do some caching!
Found during the Mega weekend on bit of a tiki-tour around the Canterbury back blocks. Great weather, great caches, great fun! Thanks to all the cache owners for putting out and maintaining caches for us to find. All in all, a fun road trip with Boxhill and Yeetrees, we signed many of the logsheets as YGB to save both time and logsheet spaces.

In town for a “Mega” weekend of caching. I joined up with Yeetrees and gonefishing to form Team YGB. I really enjoyed exploring the country roads of Canterbury. We travelled a fair few Kilometres in the 4 days we were here, and had a great time, with a lot of laughs along the way. Good weather, and good company. It doesn’t get much better than that does it.
Thanks to all the CO’s for all the caches we found.

Day 2 of my New Zealand caching tour in the lead up to the NZ mega, and the day started out nice and early to finish off the horse series, and find a few others along the way. As I searched around for additional caches to pick off, I couldn't pass up a cache this size. A short walk through the long grass, and the wonderfully large cache was soon spotted.
Gratias NZTIKES.

Found with Skaga while at the Mega.
This was a decent sized container and a really big ford. Would be impressive to see it with water in it.

There are other cachers about me thinks. There is a fresh log entry for today before mine so maybe ill finally cross paths with another cacher. Could be an interesting place to come if you are a into 4wd ing. Nice walk from where I parked back to cache. Unfortunately can't have been nice for a couple of recently deceased sheep I passed down here too. Tftc
On way to The mega in Christchurch this weekend and I have 2 goals for the weekend and this cache is part of one of those goals and that is to get 200 in a 24 hour period. So wish me luck and thank you for your little part in my big plans. TFTC ☺
One of the local caches still to find so stopped on way home from ski field .

Had to drive by this first up as a wayward fertiliser rep had stopped for lunch close to GZ. Got eventually thanks
Got him. Not many interesting swaps. Might have to come back with some large items!
We were heading to erase a DNF on another cache - and had no intention of stopping at any others until we saw this was a large. They are so rare these days that we couldn't bypass it. Not surprising that we had no problem with the find - we are just sorry we didn't have anything with us to add to the contents.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I still didn't get it when Sidewaze said the name. Caught on a few moments after she repeated it - twit! Had a laugh at my own expense! Watched a huge 4WD take it slowly through the ford and the wee rental wasn't going to do it - just as well we hadn't planned on going further up there today. TFTC #6057
Sometimes when you read the title you don't need to read the description - - - and sometimes you do . TFTC .
Not too many caches of this size, and glad it was on this side of the ford! TFTC, #6509
Road was closed due to the high river levels. It didnt stop 2 other vehicles driving around the road closure sign to check it out anyway while I was signing the log. TFTC

Nice big cache, great to see. Busy ford too, lots of traffic and a few 4x4's going down the river. Cheers
OUt in the early morning caching in the area as have an appointment around here at 8;30 so what better way to fill in a spot of time.

TFTC. See what you mean by the rubbish though - filthy beggers. We did our wee bit and then from there we run up the river to another cache. Great day for it
Plenty of water in the ford. Nice to see such a big container for a change. They seem to be good and waterproof too!
Many thanks
Many thanks
Out with JMG today while she does a maintenance run of the Lolly Scramble series (which I haven't done) so it ended up a really good day although very hot. I had to find them and then the maintenance was done if needed. As we drove past the point we needed to stop, saw some people near where we know now was the way to the cache. Wonder who they are? Walked the dog back from where we parked and wow what a beaut container - biggest I've seen for a while. Thanks NZTIKES for such a great location for this.
Im glad I went for a look. Fulky expected this to be beyond my capabilities. Fortunately not. Tftc
Decided to head out for a decent day of geocaching after having had a rest for a couple of weeks. Took one half of Mike&Anna with us.
This cache was completed on a day where we launched a "finding" attack on the Lolly Scramble trail by M&Ms.
This was not a quick easy find! We spent a while looking for the entrance, then managed to fall into a thorn bush (result in some minor first aid!), an initial view that we were about to record our first DNF for the day, before reading the description and deciding that it had to be obvious! 5 seconds later, cache was in hand!
