Logs
Crew 153 and I were in the area grabbing some caches before heading back to Brisbane. I decided to grab this one as it was a somewhat older cache (nearly 15 years old now)We parked up and made our way to GZ. Crew 153 was somewhere else while I searched the correct area Thankfully, this one came to hand nice and easy for me. We signed the log and rehid the cache as found. It was in good condition. TFTC NZTIKES
Fangsoki and I had a few hours to find a few caches before a flight home. This was one that looked interesting. We were surprised by the infrastructure when we parked and I decided to get a bit more intimate with the buildings while Fangsoki looked elsewhere. He found the cache elsewhere.TFTCNZTIKES
13 years That Darn Bear has put up with me To celebrate, I am cooking a yummy roast dinner. Prior to this, we went on a particularly successful Caching Mission !!
It's our wedding anniversary, so what do we do? The same thing we've done on our last few anniversaries! Go geocaching of course!GeoHubby (GNARwhal) and I are out in Rangiora getting my last few caches for July for my Bakers Dozen challenge (50 caches a month for 13 months). This one was a quick find. This one could use some maintenance. The cache container is missing its lid.
TFTC. Hope I'm not on security cameras. Oh, well, signed now. First traditional cache for 2024.
Nobody around so could have a good look. Lid is missing but seems to stay dry. We replaced the log which was full and falling apart. tftc
Good find but needs a new paper for logging. Unfortunately we didn't have any with us
Found with ivss_xx. The lid is gone and it’s hidden in plain sight. Amazed it’s still there!

Neither the cache nor the office are new anymore but both still here!
Found a wee hidden path off River Rd to get to GZ.
Kia ora! Paldies!
Thanks for the cache, NZTIKES!

Time to tidy up a few caches in and around Rangiora and put some more smiley faces on the map. Well that was harder than it needed to be, but in the end it was a nice easy find..... Cheers!

I took way too long to find. Was convoys to make sure it didn’t look like I was scoping out peoples cars good find though
10 January 2022 17:30. Glad I was here after work, that coordinates put me by the lunch area. Read a couple more logs, then moved away to a more sensible location. GPS settled at 5.5m out for me when I had the cache in hand. TFTC.
Drove down from Nelson tonight, I'm planning on making use of my annual hut pass while down here this week. I had to drop off some stuff to my cousin in Rangiora so stopped for a cache on the way. Nice easy find, thanks NZTIKES

absolutely no clue why it took us so long to find this, hidden perfectly in plain sight
I saved this cache in case we locked down again. All the rules followed as was within walking distance & no one else around despite it being a beautiful day. Took me a while as GPS jumped around a bit. Nice hide! Container needs a new lid. TFTC
Tricky find, as is located on carpark side of ‘hedge’. thanks to the friendly DOC staff for the guidance.
Gosh think it's time for a coffee, we getting a bit tired, found with Juju54 - TFTC
Found it after also getting caught out by a DOC worker! Lovely man! Found with Campmotherandken TFTC
Found after quite a lengthy search. It was exactly what I expected but quite a long way from where my phone was pointing (and a spot which seemed a little more "natural"). Rumbled by DOC staff who were clearly in the know. "You won't find any gold in there!" was the start of our exchange.
Found it after awhile not where we thought the vertical rail good hint but not railway.
Spent about 10 minutes looking for it, if it wasn't for one of the staff showing us where it was we would've been there all day, blended in with the rails really well, great hiding spot
We have just spent the day cycling along the Ashley River. Now its Toby time and make our way back to Zara. Stopped of here and the search was on to find this elusive one. Tagged and returned to its hidey hole. Cheers
Its Waitangi day and its the Ashley River Mountain Bike Trail today.
Its Waitangi Day - day one of a five day weekend exploring the amazing Canterbury, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack and Jill. Two days Rangiora, a day in Lyttleton and 2 days in Banks Peninsula. I got call from The Seagnoid, hes taking a long weekend. Lets go to the West Coast! Lets Go!! but maybe not the West Coast - rain on the way. So lets go to Canterbury. We leave for Christchurch Tuesday evening after picking up The Seagnoid after work. We make camp for the night at Amberly. Today its off to Rangiora for a cycle trip.

The DoC office is closed, so that makes for an easy search. I think we made this harder than it had to be, though. On the other hand, we did find it, so who cares how long we spent there!
Love how DoC offices have these little bush walks . Awesome.
Down to Christchurch with Taybeedragon, Zara and Toby for a five day weekend starting Waitangi Day (which this year fell on a Wednesday. I reckon half the country would have been taking 5 day weekends!). Three days in Rangiora. We did two cycle trails there - having two vehicles makes it so easy. One of those cycle trails was fifty caches. Fifty caches in one day on a bicycle! Then a couple of days exploring the back roads around Akaroa. Darn close to two hundred caches in all. Dropped off a lot of path tags along the way, especially if the cache was nice and dry.

I was in Rangiora today to see our mechanic (WoF time) so went for a walk to find a few caches while I waited. Autotech to the show grounds, west a bit, backtrack to a spot I'd been, then back into town. Jandals not the best footwear, especially after the bee sting in the toe!
This was my first find after the sting and I was NOT happy. It took a bit of finding, but after 5 minutes or so I spotted the wee blighter. I was so sore, and limping so much, that a stranger stopped her car to ask if I was okay!

A very clever hide, we all smiled when found this. Clue is spot on. Signed the log as Girl Power which is made up of Busy Paws, Coconuts3, Jude_E and lytteltonwitch. Thanks for this cache NZTIKES
We looked for a while and then saw it easily, 11 Mtres out from GZ! Log signed as girl power as 4 of us were having a day out caching. Jude_E, 3Coconuts, and lytteltonwich. TFTC
This took us 4 longer than expected. We were looking in the wrong place it would seem. My coordinates were 12 m from where we spotted it. Standing back was a good idea. Tftc. #3587
Circled around a couple of times, nut found it in the end. Crammed my details in a gap on the corner of the log. TFTC
Took longer than should have but got there in the end. Tftc an smiley Back in Christchurch for personal reasons so decided to do some caching while here.
mission impossible had to jump the fence no muggles insight found after having a good look
