Tried it on a walk through Whitianga, as CO promised to check it 4 months ago as there were some dnfs during the mid of the last year. Still nothing to find. As the place is very interesting there should be space for something new...
We think we found GZ going by other comments but nothing there, may have been muggled
After much hunting, found an out of place rock with a log wedged underneath. No container though. TFTC.
Managed to find what we believd to be GZ as there was an official geocaching log under a rock however no container was found
We have been on holiday in party of 25 campervans with the Caravan Club from England and have tried to find at least one geocache in each place we have stopped - had a fair amount of luck and the map of New Zealand should show our journey. Thanks to you all for leaving them for us to find.
When we approached GZ I thought we would have to play the "wait for the muggle to go" game. However luck was on our side and they left. It was then a quick find and sign. Thank you.
First time I've seen 3 caches. What an interesting spot. Here with HennyGeo on holidays from Vancouver Island, BC, Canada in scenic New Zealand TFTEC
Took a friend geocaching while we were staying in Whitianga for the Concert. She loved the walk and together we discovered lots of great historical stuff while on our journey to find this one. It took us ages to find and most frustrating because I eventually found it in a place I had already looked! And 3 cache boxes! So signed the oldest looking one. Thanks for bringing us here.
Here in NZ with SwagHo vacationing, visiting and most importantly Geocaching from Vancouver island BC Canada. TFTC
More history, well camoflaged unless you are geocaching! Climbed up and over to investigate. Came down and found 3 containers! Saw one was labelled scouts, and two weren't labelled. Signed all three because I could!! Thanks for bringing me here!
Lots of history and old relics here ...very interesting I would loved to have investigated further ,but I was a mission...great place and fitting for a cache but very surprised to find three containers ...decision ...signed all and returned thanks for a great cache Bluedahlia
Took us much longer to find than it should have but we were far to busy exploring this awesome spot. On a cycling geocaching expedition from Cooks Beach after crossing on the ferry. Grabbed the trackable.

Interesting history - and we found two containers in place... We've signed the one that's been there the longest Neat area but with a full day a head and the wind picking up we didn't stay for long. Cheers bluedahlia.
179 In Whitianga for our yearly summer holiday with family. Left the boys with hubby at the kids fishing comp off the wharf and walked down to the couple of caches down this way. Been to this area plenty of times pre-caching. Saw that the scouts have also placed another container there recently. TFTC bluedahlia.
Hardly anyone out here. I found two boxes in the hidding place today but signed only the logbook with this remarkable sharpend pencil.

Yes we found it. Took a few minutes. Good hide! Thank you for the cache. We are enjoying all the history around Whitianga
A quick find with Joshyreno as lookout. A very interesting piece of history. Tftc
After picking up a few FTFs we are now exploring Whitianga. This spot had been recommended to us by a local at our last cache, and is well worth a look around. No problems finding the cache. Thanks for showing us.
Thanks for bringing us to a part of whitianga we didn't know existed and sharing some history with us.
Queen's Birthday weekend in Whitianga. Some cycle mounted caching on a surprisingly mild Saturday.
We made a straightforward find on this one. Intriguing structures and what effort taken to create them out of natural rock formations. Worth the visit to this site.
Cache in order; log signed, then re-hidden safely, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

After a great weekend in Whitianga decided to go for a walk in the rain as my fishing trip was cancelled. This is a great area of interest and a clever spot for a cache, didn't hang around too long as I was getting soggy. Picked up Wally the travelbug and will help him on his way. First one I have found!!! Tftc
Very interesting place and history well recorded..Favourite, we rode bikes in from Simpsons Beach and found a few caches for the morning...thank you
Thanks for the cache. Despite bad weather I found it! Greetings from the Czech Republic:-).
A fascinating place, it just amazes us how we find all these great places. After a horrendous night of rain, at least it was fair when we set off this morning, on our way to hot water beach and Cathedral cove. A few drips from the trees on Mr CD as retrieved the cache but I told him it'll soon dry don't worry. Signed and returned. TFTC
We headed out to find a few caches before dinner and it was the first time in this part of town. Enjoyed the ruins, and the history of the area was interesting, though a bit gruesome.
Initially our GPSrs took us away from the ruins, then they both decided to take us back there again (the moral is to stand back and wait for the GPSr to settle). Once in the correct place, the cache was quickly found.
Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC.

took a few times walking around to find it but spotted it after awhile. Very interesting history here. Tftc.
Awesome historic site. A little tricky to find for us but eventually found it. Thank you.
Took a while to find this one (lots of good hiding places) Cool place though!
Took a good amount of time to find, but those natural geocaching instincts kicked in and got it!
Watch out for the mozzies! Difficult to find but perseverance won in the end!
Thanks for the cache.
Many greetings from Germany, Nariza & Korshi

The cache was in a good hiding spot, didn't take us too long to find though when you know what to look for.
Very interesting spot, thanks for the cache.
Very interesting spot, thanks for the cache.
We needed to come to Withianga to make grocery stock during our trip in Coromandel and took advantage to make a bit of geocaching. Nice area, not exactly where our GPS indicated but east to find in the nearby rocks.
Not for Geocashe we would not have found this amazing spot! Visiting this lovely area from South Africa. TFTC
Took the hard way to get this one... Kayaked about 1km up the estuary into a stiff wind to get to closest shoreline. Took about 1 hour to get up, and then about 15 mins to get back to my start location. Interesting location - a local gave me a history lesson. TFTC.
Cool place been coming to whiti for 5 years now and never been to it . thanksyou.
This was the 2. found on our last day in NZ. Yesterday we tried to find this cache but a view muggle-ladys made their exercises here - directly in front of the hiding place.
But today it was a quick find, thank you for showing this interesting place.

Wa a very well hidden cache we were looking inside and on top of the ruin but eventually found it
Amazing store house, it must have taken a lot of work to construct. Thanks for bringing us to a different part of town. TFTC
What a great ruin, thanks for bringing us here. With a group of friends doing a long weekend of caching, so lucky, signing as CNSZ. TFTC

On a geocaching weekend with a great bunch of geo buddies, we hope to get loads of caches this weekend. We've decided to sign the log sheet as - Day trippers CNSZ in order to save space on the the sheet. Thanks to the cachers who hid these caches for us to find and make our weekend such fun.
Nice lil hide, I started off full of it, then realised I was overthinking it. Was quite obvious when spotted, have covered with a little leaf cover as could see container in open. Tftc
