My plans for a spectacularly successful last Gong Ride were dashed by a broken bike. The only thing that was going to make me feel better was a few cache finds on the way home. This one needs a new log book and a plastic bag, as it is quite moist. TFTC
After my trip to Sydney last week, I decided another day trip up that way was in order. I did not go quite as far and spent some time caching along Picton road to Cordeaux Dam and then back to Berrima for some Labs, lunch and the remaining puzzle caches and remembrance dive series back to the highway. It was a great day and I will have to get out to the that same area several more times to find lots of the remaining caches.
As I drove back up from the dam, this one was a nice simple drive by cache.
Thanks for the cache prospector27

I have driven past the turnoff to the dam a few times and this morning was heading north out of the Gong, so swerved into the road down here...
How good is this location! Logged both caches and decided an Earthcache would make a nice addition
Dropped a trackable here

As we drove back out of the dam area, we stopped at this little resting spot. Up ahead, there was quite a large building on the left being demolished.
We found a very likely looking location where the Hide was well camouflaged and hidden.
Another lovely spot. We added our name to the log.
Thanks prospector27

Quick park and find . Located in neat hide . Coordinates spot on TFTC prospector27
Found by Miss-Nine very easily as the cache was no longer camouflaged and sitting out from its hide. The lid was also incorrectly installed (upside down) which has left some water in. Defacto log signed, lid replaced and camouflaged. Left the collectibles as we didn't have any replacements.
TFTC!!
TFTC!!
Paper was very wet. My daughter found a little toy in there and we left one for someone else to find.

Lovely day out visiting Cordeaux Dam. Enjoyed a walk along the Dam wall finding a Munzee or two, hunted for one close to the dam, then moved up the hill to this one and to the playground for the geokids nearby. So many picnic tables in this neck of the woods, and very tame Rosellas! Would love to have seen it in it's heyday.
This cache was too soggy to autograph today unfortunately but Geokids enjoyed swapping a toy. Emptied some water and replaced with some natural cover as it was out in the open. Not that I imagine many muggles actually stop here these days.
Thanks for the cache and for bringing us to a place that we would never have made the effort to come to without caching. We'll be back!

Streak Day #3019 - Out on a geocaching adventure with Dave8153 for the first time in months. Nice quick and easy find. TFTC
Found on an outing with our non geo friends, who seem to be quite good at this. Replaced the bag as it was a little soggy. Tftc
Stopped at the dam for lunch which brought back memories of my childhood when we would come here for picnics on Sunday afternoons. So an aptly named cache. Note: the log book is slightly damp. Hopefully the next finder will be able to dry it in the sun for a while. TFTC
Out on a solo adventure today, hitting up around Mount Keira and surrounds. A beautiful place to come and spend some time in nature, and hopefully get some caches while its quiet! I was able to park right at GZ and made a quick find here, coords were accurate for me. Logbook was a bit damp, but I was still able to sign. Thanks for the smiley
After 10 years, cache is doing ok. Had a fair bit of water in it, but the log was in a good clip lock. So signing was no problem. Never been here before, nice place.
The first official geo cache with the kiddies and they were excited to find it. Easy find.
Quick find. TFTC. We scavenged through the car to find something to trade. Fortunately a Geokid had a trading kit ready.

A quick detour off the main road on my day off seen me stop in at this cache. I don’t live too far from here yet for some reason I’ve never been here! I parked at the picnic area and jogged down and the cache was quickly discovered. Dropping off my little travel partner for someone else to move on, thanks you!

**Cache Condition:** Satisfactory.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
**Trackables:** None seen in cache today

We undertook some maintenance, dried out the wet cache, cleaned it up and returned cache to its hide'y hole exactly as found. While the logbook was dry the container was wet inside. **I don't recommend leaving anything inside the cache as it gets wet inside after rain.**
**The Day**
OCW *Little Panther* and *DustyJapserJet*. Called by here so *Little Panther* and *DustyJasperJet* could sign the logbook.

Floating around while the others use their amazing skills to search for the cache. Log signed and replaced and the scene evacuated TFTC
Find 4 of the day and a nice quick one. Not super well hidden when I got there so I’ve camoed it a bit more. Container had water in it and the log is a little wet but still singable.

Prospector, quick find on this wet day.
CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Streak day 64
Below is a blurb about us.
We are trying to get a badge from Project-GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to
get badges for adding photos to our found logs.
We Started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full time (living in a caravan), caching fits in well with this lifestyle.
It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone.
When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there to get the caches we want.

In the area so decided to check this place out. Found a couple of caches whilst there.
Heading back towards Canberra, via Picton Road and a CITO on the highway, I decided to stop here for a break and lunch as I was running a little bit early!
Never visited this dam before, but it proved to be a very popular little place! Looks quiet as you approach, but once I arrived I saw all the cars parked and everyone out enjoying the nice weather, having picnics, or going for walks, hanging out etc.
I was actually very lucky that this particular park was completely empty! Everyone was either back up at the entrance, or down by the dam!
So a quick find and I was off. The last finder was a muggle who left it uncovered, so I hid it again. Thanks to the muggle for signing the log and not stealing the cache!

A quick dash into the dam area for this cache, didn't think I'd have time for Eden's Hide as I have to dash back to Canberra (and cache on the way) before the light is lost. Took me a few minutes to work out how to get to the container, but found in good nick.

Spent lots of time searching. The trees no longer have vines growing on it so I am thinking some maintenance has been done and cache removed

We’ve solved many mysteries prior attending the event.
We’ve encountered some difficulties but we’ve got help from some nice cachers.
Today was the day! We’ve stated early and were able to find all of the lighthouse tour caches
Thank you for the nice caches

The time has finally arrived for a massive Australian road trip with The Kiwi Chicks. We are GraciesGPSfun , thedbees , Ethness, Infoferret , Jude_E and me Nosynel. We might sometimes sign the geocaches as KCs or TKCs. TFTC
We flew to Sydney from Bendigo on the new direct flights, hired a car and drove down to Wollongong to attend the muster.
Today we went for a drive to Pt Kembla for a look and didn't have much luck caching wise and then headed out to collect some of the WLS, didn't have much luck there either. In the end we did the touristy things instead.
Thanks for contributing to the fun prospector27

Find # 8236
Found while up at the Gong event.
Solved what we could as a team before the trip up. But I had to go out n find "the Light House art" alone.
Did have the occasional meet up with others out in the field. Thankfully some of those were when the caches became elusive to find.
Thanks to those who gave me a ton of help with the Wherigos. Much appreciated. One day I might get the hang of them.
Off the art but heading down for a great view.

While up in this neck of the woods for the OZGM Mega, today's agenda was to explore some of the lookouts and dams, and finish off the Lighthouse Geoart.

Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

Given the restricted access to this area, this cache was high on our priorities for today, Reasonably accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks prospector27 for the cache.
