Due to the state of the site and having been muggled several times I have decided to end this caches day and archive it. Thanks to the many finders for their comments, I have enjoyed the comments from all. Here is an opportunity for someone else to establish a new cache in this wonderful area.

Lovely day out. First day with the geo kids. Swapped a few things even left a little present for the next people
I really enjoyed this cache as it took me to a beautiful local reserve that I had heard about but hadn't visited prior to today. I was really impressed with how peaceful and scenic this reserve was and very interested to learn a bit about the history of this place. Particularly keen to follow up with some bird watching as this is a great spot to observe quite a variety of bird species. The reserve also gives me some ideas for great spots for potential cache hides.. Found this one quite easily although it was approx 6m out from my GZ. A great hide! TFTC RUSCHIE
Out for a caching run with OzHockeyChick to collect My Friend Zeke cache and pick up a few others in the area whilst I was on the other side of town. It was a good day—got a few smilies and saw some places I remember from childhood—back when I was an eastern suburbs girl.
This cache was not difficult to find—log was signed and we were on our way again without much bother.

Number 2 find for xsurfergirlx and I. A couple of muggles here and there, but soon found. TFTC
Wow, such a lovely park. I followed my GPS to a parking spot and was cursing it for taking me to a dead end again, when I spotted the gates through. My dog and I went on an adventure around the paths and saw dragonflies, butterflies and eventually a cache. My GPS was all over the place and I couldn't quite pinpoint GZ, so I just used my eyes (amazing, I know) and saw a likely hiding spot. After I'd signed the log my dog and I went for a walk around the lake and met lots of dogs that were much more obedient that she is. I was about to make fun of the lady who was dressed like her shiatzu when I realised I have a black dog and was dressed in black with a purple lanyard around my neck that totally matched her purple lead. Glass houses, etc.. Anyway, thanks RUSCHIE for the cache, and a lovely walk around a park that we'll return to.
Lovely stroll through this hidden oasis - watching a hawk soar just above the treetops

After braving Knox for the Boxing Day sales we nabbed this one on the way past. TFTC
Great little park that I didn't know about, really really nifty cache, sadly my GPSr was about 30m off so I was climbing fences, jumping over trees and hoping my pants wouldn't split. After finally grabbing the cache from its little spot, we signed the log and started our journey home.
Thanks for this great cache, Hoka13579

I headed off today, just after morning school-o'clock, with the geotoddler and dog in tow. We parked opposite this park, tumbled out of the car and headed on in. We happened to pick the correct path first try, headed straight to gz and then I went it alone. I encountered a fence, scaled it twice, then met my nemesis - the spiny shrub of death. It's absolutely everywhere in Eastern Melbourne!!! There's still a piece of a thorn from it in my thumb from over a month ago. I checked the hint to make the most direct, least spiky path in but failed to spot what it alluded to. My company became restless so I re-traversed the fence and we set off. After a beautiful walk in the sunshine around the lake, with fun on a boardwalk, we came back up the same path and I noticed the giveaway about ten metres from where my phone took me. A quick sign and we were off. TFTC RUSCHIE.
Oldest child dropped off on school and on our way to Knox City. Decided to do a quick stop to find this cache with my youngest two sleuths. Back in the 80's I went to school near here and we used to run around this lake for cross country.
We parked nearby and walked to gz and geoson aged 5 made the find easily.

Definitely wear pants to this one cause there are some prickly bushes around the cache (I found out the hard way!) Nice easy one to find though
Found it, under the guise of getting some spuds ( how appropriate for this cache ), geokids 1 & 3 B got this one easy, kids did some treasure swaps and left happy. TFTC.
After a spot of shopping at Knox, we thought we'd get a couple of caches on the way home, since the weather was so nice. Geodad made the quick find.Nice place for a walk.

Thank you, nice easy find in a beautiful spot. Swapped scooby bag tag for a spongebob key ring.
We went the long way around for this one as we didn't see the little track when walking past! But it's ok we still stayed on the tracks! Thanks for the find!
Waiting for a prescription to be filled nearby so thought we'd grab this cache. Can't let today's sunshine be wasted by not getting out for some caches while we can. No doubt we'll be driven back inside by more rain soon enough.
My husband spotted the hide from a distance, though anyone not involved in geocaching wouldn't look twice at this. Nicely done.
Took wrist band and seal figurine. Left Scooby Doo bag tag and glow-in-the-dark dinosaur. Also dropped a trackable that wants to get to Armenia so hopefully someone who is traveling soon picks it up.

The 5 y.o was thrilled to find this one and collect another yellow magnet. Beautiful day for a walk around the lake.
Last find for the day while on our 8k jog. Small container for such a great hiding spot. Cache container is in good condition. TFTC RUSCHIE. Greetings from lower Blue Mountains.
Found in the dark after a short search.
Well, I then realised that my pen was back in the Geovehicle. The pencil wouldn't cooperate so I walked back out and signed the log out of the rain. Sharpened the pencil and replaced, as found.
That was when the Drop Bear appeared. Ran for my life...
Took Dazza the Drop Bear TB, left some swag.
Thanks for bringing me and for the cache too RUSCHIE.

Walked past this one heaps of times, even stopping for the find on a day I didn't have a pen but after saving this one as my closest to home unfound I decided I might as well get my name in the book. The hiding spot is sure showing some signs of heavy handed cachers so it probably good i get it out of the way. despite this the cache is in good condition TFTC
Quick drop-in whilst visiting Knox shopping centre. Nice quiet reserve. Excellent place for a cache. Thanks
Driven past Lakewood a million times. Nice to actually see the lake for once. Tftc
Geodaughter enjoyed the chorus of frogs and nearby lake. TN, left toy hedgehog for some cache karma points because this one was light on swaps. TFTC
Often used to come here for a stroll pre-caching days. Thanks Ruschie for a trip down memory lane.
Stumbled through the undergrowth for a while as GPS was jumping around, but then spotted the hide. TFTC

On my way home from another cache and I spotted in for a look for a couple of caches in the area. The rain had stopped so I parked on the other side of the lake and enjoyed the walk around. I took the wrong path so had to circle around but quickly found the cache once at gz. The lid doesn't seal anymore and needs attention.
Thanks RUSCHIE for the cache.

4 y/o Geo-son and I had a Rockin' day out caching this morning. Every time we got back in the car after finding a cache we played Queen's "We Will Rock You!" (Geo-son's favorite song) on the way to the next cache. Played that song 7 times this morning!
Again geo-son spotted the hide (he is getting quite good at this). Unfortunately the seal has gone missing and so the container doesn't clip and the log is damp, but still signable. Thanks RUSCHIE for another great cache!

A nice easy walk to this one today on a wet afternoon caching run. Cache container didn't seal to well but hopefully it will keep the rain out. Thanks RUSCHIE for the cache. Nice parkland area.
Nice find, even in the dark the clips on the cache aren't closing very well though :/ Lauryn's first find
On the way home from work a slight diversion to grab this cache. Parking in a nearby street I made the short walk to GZ a made the quick find.

Found this today while out gathering another nearby cache. Nice short walk through the bush to this one. The hiding location is looking a little worse for wear but the cache is still hidden ok. TFTC.
Sadly nothing in it but a notepad and pen (no swaps). - but on bright side I've hit double figures
Have been in this area for a cache about 7 years ago.
Nice to return,
Many thanks for the bush stroll and hide.

A cold and windy day, and a quick find. It made me laugh, which was good. Thanks RUSCHIE
What a pretty area in the middle of suburbia! IPhone GPS was a few metres out but looking around it was not hard to spot the likely hide. TFTC!
Lovely walk through the park on a rather warm morning. Cache found without any trouble. TFTC RUSCHIE
Assuming that the Horticultural Research Center here was the Ringwood one (I can't imagine two in such close area) they bred one of my favorite plants here: Pride of Ringwood Hops http://www.hops.com.au/products/australian_varieties/pride_of_ringwood.html
After a few hot and humid days today's rain was very welcome, even if it did make the caching trip a little damp under foot (and over head). Cache was again a quick find, mostly because it was exposed and out of it's neat little hide. Replaced it and covered it after signing the log.

The plan had been to take the newly purchased cachemobile south for a promised repair, then cache my way back home. So much for that; the parts hadn't arrived... oh well, more time for caching.
Now, that's weird... Two caches in park here, second container strewn to the four winds. I gathered up the pieces and rehid the container according to the clue.
26th and last find for the day (my third best tally thus far), though it was tempting to continue and head toward some night caches... but I have a bbq tomorrow that I should do at least some preparation for. Thanks for an excuse to visit this fun place.

I was called out at short notice to cover a Guard's shift at Puffing Billy so I needed to choose a couple of caches quickly so I could keep up my "cache a day" sequence. Ruschie has placed 2 caches in Lakewood Reserve and this was only a minor detour on my way home.
Parked in the shade on Lakewood Drive and set off for this cache first...primarily because the track I was on led more to this cache than the other one. Like Planetfab before, my GPSr led me to some old tyres which is where the cache wasn't... Looked around and it didn't take long to spot an obvious hide. Picked out the cache, did the formalities and then put everything back so I could go in search of Ruschie's other cache.
Thanks Ruschie for the cache.

Found while in the area
