Thanks for the cool cache, did accidentally walk through a bog but it was a fun find.
Staying at the campground here, and headed out for a wander over to Anapai this afternoon. No problem finding the cache on the downhill side of the hint item, TFTC
Beautiful place, but could not find the cache. Searched 3-5 mins, first at Punga's, then also at other places. No luck for me, hooe it's still there, very nice place to visit.
Another quick find on a glorious autumn day. Is and some Weka. Log a bit damp but ok, thanks
Located with Ricardinho Track quiet the whole way up until this point & then it was Grand Central Station with a large two family group turning up who didn't know where they were going. After loosing 2 kids & going twice the wrong way, finally they sorted it. Once they had departed on the correct course, RNZ grabbed the cache & we signed the log finally! Patience is not one of my virtues Day two of our Goldenbay Getaway & we are off to Wainui Falls & Totaranui. I found out recently RNZ had never been to Totaranui & i wanted to rectify this travesty. Stunning day & the locations did not disappoint, RNZ is keen for a camping trip in Totaranui sometime which sounds fabulous to me! On the drive in to Totaranui we passed a nutter running down the hill, as we passed said runner I realised it was my friend Amy Next cache stop & I got to say hi as she ran past A magic day in a stunning part of Aotearoa TFTC
This one was Grand Central Station for a while here. People from all directions, some of them multiple times after realising they were on the wrong track. But we knew where we were heading, which made the task of staring at the board, pretending to soak in the info while really just patiently waiting for others to shuffle off all the more tedious. But thats geocaching Quick find once the headless chooks departed. TFTC Mr spider.Today we decided to explore out to Totaranui.I have not been there before, so we packed up our day packs for a bit of light walking and headed there, as the weather was great. On the way out, we revisited Wainui Falls. We werent here that long ago, but by my reckoning three of the four caches we did find back then have been archived but resurrected under a different form, so its time for another visit.Following that, its off to Totaranui, getting all the caches on the drive in.To finish the day we grabbed a couple of caches in Takaka after visiting the supermarket. Thanks all COs.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Today we spent another wonderful day here in this area and made a walk to Anapai Bay. On our way we were able to find this cache after a little bit of searching. But once found the right tree, we also found the cache and signed the logbook. Yippie - another Tradi found in New Zealand!! A big thank you to mr_spider for leading us here and showing this place and of course also for maintaining the cache here in the woods at the trail!Best wishes from the North Sea, Germany, from Cuxine . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ________________oooooooo____________oooooooooooooo_________oooooooooooooooooo________oooooooooooooooooooo_______oooooooooooooooooooo____oooooo_______oooooooooooooooooooo___ooo__ooo_______oooooooooooooooooooo__oooo____oo________oooooooooooooooooooooooo_________oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo_oooo_______oooooooooooooooooo________ooooo___ooooooooooooooooooooooo_________oo_ooo____oooooooooooooooooooooooooo_____oooooooo__ooo_oooooo__________oo___oooo_______ooo__ooo_ooo______oooo__ooo_______oooo___ooo__ooo___ooooo___ooo_____ooo___ooo____oo____ooo____oooooo__ooo____ooooooo____________ooo_____ooooo____ooo

Found it after looking around the wrong board.Look around the campground sign not the walk distances sign
Our NEW ZEALAND - TASMANIA - AUSTRALIA TRIP takes us to wonderful places and gives us an incredible number of beautiful moments and experiences. On occasion we also visit a few GeoCaches on our way. Searched on the wrong side of the trail at first. Then found something off the 0-point. The can was properly grown in and the logbook unfortunately very WET...! Thank you for laying, nurturing and caring for it snapfish2 from Switzerland
We had a pen but it was deeeply buried in the heavy pack. A pencil was there, but the log was too wet to show. We put a dirt T to the log. Great hiding spot! Thanks for the hide here!
On our way to Anapai Bay we could find it. On our way back we found it on a much easier place. 2m from the other sign. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Found with mumandme. Quick find. Almost at Totaranui. Ready for a swim! TFTC
While we figured out which way to go to reach out campsite and waited for the rest of the group, I found this cache. The hint was helpful.
Second find for Miss Nine and I on Day 2 of our walk along the Abel Tasman Coastal Track. Thanks!
Out for a loop walk in the rain, caching as we go. Took us a while to locate but got there in the end. TFTC
We are here to complete the Abel Tasman Walk. We were dropped by boat at Totaranui did the loop track and this was the second cache of the loop.

Day 1 of our 3 day walk to explore this area.
This one took a long time to find. We filled the gps and the hint, read logs and still empty handed. I had pretty much given up and started to walk away when Mr NZT made the find…yay!
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
My morning walk made me come up to this one and then back to the campground to prepare breakfast. Sorry, only now noticed I still have to catch up with logging several caches I found during our trip to Totaranui and Takaka.
On our bikes today. Came from Wainui carpark over the top. Great ride. Now to check out Totaranui grab some caches and head back to the carpark
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Day 4 on my Inland track adventure. Wouldn't like to meet a person that sort of 2m on a dark night.
This was my thirteenth find on the 5 day Abel Tasman walk. I initially was looking 2 meters from the wrong sign but once corrected I soon found the cache, TFTC!
Nearly gave up before realising I was looking two metres in every direction from the wrong sign! Lol
Found by Mr 10 while out doing the headland walk. Our only success out of 3 for this walk today. Tftc
A few people walked by when I stopped here but none while I was searching. Signed and replaced the cache before continuing on. Would love to come back and do all the other side walks. TFTC.
Found with MrsC on our NZ travels from the UK. A day in Abel Tasman NP. Quick find, thanks.
New Zealand we are back again.
Hoping to find some caches at secret or interesting locations we are with the motorhome on the road.
Today we walked the 16-km trail to and back from Separation Point. This cache laid on the way.
Thanks to nzgeorgemoon for hiding and maintaining.
Best regards

Staying at the camp for a few days. Lovely loop walk with fabulous views. TFTC
Easy find as we made our way back to Wainui on a big day walk on the Abel Tasman Track
After completing the Headland Track circuit it was on to this one. Was not 100% sure which sign hence which punga to look behind but soon found a zip-lock plastic bag with sodden log - no sign of a sistema container. Did not have the gear with me to replace but had some supplies back at the caravan.
The next day I removed the plastic bag with sodden log and replaced this geocache with a new container, plastic bag and log. Secured the cache with 2 rocks and other camo at what I believed at the time to be the correct spot.
Hope this meets with the CO's approval - if not feel free to delete this log and I will retrieve the replacement cache when in the area next.

Found cache out in the open, log was completely sodden and we were unable to sign. Hid according to hint and covered a bit better. TFTC
Quick find for this one. Unfortunately I could not sign as the log was to wet. Rescued the TB and will take it to Auckland
Thanks for the cache on the AT crossing. Unfortunately, the logbook is soaking wet!
Auf der 5-tägigen Wanderung im Abel Tasman National Park das ein oder andere Döschen gesuch und meistens auch gefunden.....

Day 3 of our Able Tasman adventure today was from awaroa to Whariwharangi .
Scratched around all the punga in the area while the rest of the group took a break with nothing to show for it. Then I spotted it right next to the sign in plain view of everyone ..thanks guys
Log soaked , put back where hint suggests tftc

Fun cache and find, however the large container was filled to the brim with water and the smaller container was cracked, containing a soggy logbook. TFTC anyway.
We found it, however the cache was full of water. I guess the container is not waterproof. We emptied the water and the orange strange moss inside, and dried the main container. Le log container was also full of water. The log was completely wet we dried it the best we could, but the log will remain wet until changed.
Nice spot and nice walk. Thanks for the cache!
Nice spot and nice walk. Thanks for the cache!
Searched all over but couldn't find it! It must have been close to our dinner time because we ran out of patience. Next time we visit, we will find it!!
I found this cache together with my partner Pityulino during our holiday in New Zealand. Today we visited the Abel Tasman National Park and hiked between Totaranui and Anapai Bay and searched for geaoaches on our way. THis was one of them, which we found in good condition. TFTC!

Helped some trampers read their map at the crossroads and sent them on the correct track before signing cache.
Found with NZDi. After spending the past month or so stuck at home preparing our house for sale, the looming long weekend called for something special. So three nights were booked in a motel in one of our favourite places... Pohara and early on Friday morning we headed across the hills (firstly the Whangamoas and then the Takaka Hill). We didn't get off to a great start being held up slightly with a flat battery... perhaps I should have taken heed of what the AA man said a few weeks ago when he did a call-out to my address for a similar fault and bought a new one. Fortunately I have become self-sufficient in the flat battery rectification stakes and this was rapidly rectified. Knowing that we were going to a few out of the way places on our weekend endeavours and note wanting a similar experience, I purchased a new battery as we went through Nelson (I couldn't do it in Blenheim because we left too early).
The plan for the weekend was to do some caching in the Golden Bay area on Friday and Saturday, celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary on Sunday with a little more caching but some more traditional anniversary activities, and then do some more caching on the way home.
Yesterday's mission was to collect some of the caches in the Canaan Downs area at the top of the Takaka Hill, but that was cut short and we ended up doing some Wainui caches last evening.
Todays mission is to start at Wainui, head out to Separation Point, carry on to Totaranui, then return to Wainui over the Gibbs Hill Track, it turned out to be a nine and a half hour day on the track. This was a near to Totaranui that we got today. While it would have been nice to go down into the bay and check it out, we decided this could wait for a later visit. Besides, we had been there a couple of times previously in times BC, (Before Caching). It was NZDi who made a QEF here and now it was back up and over the hill into Wainui Bay.
TFTC nzgeorgemoon or is that mr spider

Looked too far away at first.

Whilst travelling on the South Island of New Zealand we stopped to look for a few caches when time allowed. After a day of rain followed by constant heavy falls at night we weren't expecting to be looking for any in Abel Tasman NP, but it cleared up nicely.

We are pretty weary but now on the final push to our hut for the night at Wharawharangi. TFTC
we started a long walk. Some boxes I alredy did not found. But this I signed.
Thank you.
Thank you.
We were on a hike from the campground to Anapai Bay, and saw there was a cache along the way! So, of course, we had to stop and look for the Cache! Took us a bit of tromping around the area until we finally discovered it. Just loved the smell of the trees and bushes and dirt as we tromped around! Thanks!
Traveling together during our Sabbatical, I've found this one beside Dr. Dose and have shared the same nice experience as he did.
Thanks for it and all the best!

During our Sabbatical trip we made our way to Abel Tasman as well. I found this one beside our walk around the northern loop today. It was an easy grab and log this time and I had fantastic weather conditions!
Many thanks for hiding, moin moin, and best regards sends Dr. Dose...

Had to wait for the traffic to pass then a swift retrieval and log. A great walk around the headland walk now back to Totaranui for lunch and a swim.
I still don't know what a 'punga' is, but stepping off the track behind the bushes, the container glanced at me.
Thanks for hiding! Quick grab on the way back to the campground.

On Wed 7th the brand new Oregon 700 hiccuped and lost all cache details from the Takaka PQ. Still showed icons with cache names- but no details. So a trip to the Takaka internet cafe to note down the directions and hints for a handful of essential Takaka caches... this was one of them. A quick find on the way back from Anapai bay. Added a screwtop container with a new logsheet.
Together with Fenz i had the pleasure to visit New Zealand. We were traveling around for quite some time and thought: Why not combine that with some geocaching! That doubled the fun and we found a lot nice places we wouldnt have, if we werent looking for the boxes invisible to the other tourists. For details on our cache finds see the logs of Fenz. We want to thank all the owners for their effort, the nice hides and the fun we had on our journey! Definitely gonna come back to you Kiwis, greetings from the other end of the world, keep it on!
Now we know what "Punga" is. With AntiTerrorist on a daytrip in Abel Tasman National Park. Tftc
The plan was to hike the Abel Tasman Track, but not the normal way, just backwards. So starting at Totaranui, going to Whariwharangi, to Awaroa, to Anchorage and back to the parking lot. Went great.
Good to find, along the way.
So far seen on this trip: Thailand and New Zealand.
TFTC from a geocacher on his journey through the world.
Danke!

After a semester abroad in New Zealand, I travel around the country with MMXX now. There are plenty of amazing spots to discover.
Thanks for placing a geocache here and sorry that I keep my logs short.

My fourth cache on my first Great Walk! We had flown in from Wellington on Friday and had a great time in Nelson with the start of the arts festival and the masked parade, before getting up at the crack of dawn to catch the bus to Marahau on Saturday. For my tramping companion (a muggle), this was her first time carrying such a heavy pack (all 9kg lol) and the first time she'd be sleeping in a DOC hut, so my geocaching time was limited as I didn't want her to stress about possibly walking in the dark. Unfortunately, my iPad (where I'd saved a list of priority caches) wasn't charging, but I had a printout with some crucial details, so whenever I saw somewhere that matched the description, I took a chance and scouted around. I didn't have much leeway for this one as the tidal crossing at Awaroa had dictated a rather late departure and we had to keep up a steady pace to make it to Whariwharangi in our allotted time frame. Luckily, I soon found what I was looking for Thanks for a memorable find on an awesome hike in a beautiful part of the world.
We are traveling around New Zealand. We are so glad that we can discover this beautiful country. We enjoy it so much. This cache was found during our travel.
