Another easy find. No bush bashing required if you follow the right path..tftc

Wasnt sure if it was private property ( even know there was a sign saying reserves) with all the kids things. Quick bush bash down. Soon had CIH - accurate coordinates. Pretty cool spot!!tftc

Came back for another day of Faulconbridge finds before it gets too wet. Easy find and took a photo of the clues for a related cache somewhere else. SLTNLN. Thanks for showing us this locality that we would otherwise havent paid attention to.

Well, we were about to reach GZ and commence our search when we got ambushed by a muggle - this kid was overeager to engage and wouldn’t leave us alone! Thankfully, the muggle came along before we had time to find the cache. We abandoned our efforts - but we will be back.

Have just come from AA#1 actually. Straight out here to AA#2 where I have picked up a year of unloved for my troubles. I have had this on the todo for waay too long. Great to finally come out today and grab some caches which have been on the list for ages! An interesting area to explore with another piece of the puzzling puzzle gathered. TFTC, Team Webguy. An enjoyable series.

From June 1, travel restrictions are being eased in NSW. Cache on!

31-Mar-20
In light of the current travel restrictions and the requests by regional councils to stay away etc, I am disabling all my caches until the COVID-19 situation has passed and things return back to normal. Please respect this and do not go looking for these caches.

10-Feb-20
Found after a short walk from my parked car and then a short but easy bush bash. I haven't tried any others in the series so will look into them. Thanks for the cache Team Webguy.

18-Oct-19
Quite an easy find once we got to the correct level went too low to start. Cache is in good condition. Signed and replaced. TFTC

16-Dec-18
My second cache for the day and my third in this series.
An easy find. Its amazing that the science community still fails to recognise the existence of extra terrestrials with all this evidence lying around.
I ended up parking at the gate on Taronga Way and walking down to the GZ from there.
After finding the cache i retreated to the shade to do the duties and get out of the hot sun.
There is an amazing view out over the valley from the GZ.
Thanks.

Great spot for a cache. Would never have seen this area, if a cache was not here. Also was only a 140 metre walk from the car, with an easy to reach gz for a Webguy cache. Thanks for showcasing this area with a cache. Dont know about the others in the series, some look a lot more difficult to reach, though I dont rule it out.

A surprisingly quick find. Always helps when the GPS takes us right to GZ. TFTC

18-Jun-17
With foil hot donned, I made my way to the location wr have not visited in 7 years. An alien transportation device that was warm to the touch was sitting close to my objective.

I added an extra layer of foil around my nethers the crept past this strange vehicle.

The original location was found. It was true, aliens had managed to find it. I replaced the cache and hid it deep in a dark recess with a single rock in front.

Make sure you hide it back deep.

My brain was starting to throb, my nethers tingling. I had to leave the area immediately lest I be discovered....

18-Jun-17
Aliens may have probed this location a bit too deep and far, an investigation shall be undertaken, rubber gloves donned, foil hat made, away into the wilderness I plod....

I had been keeping a close eye on alien activity in this neck of the woods. Today there were rumours of suspicious persons in tin foil hats in the vicinity. Could it be that we were in for another visit? The geoWife and I quickly departed the scene of our weekend getaway in Mudgee to take a look for ourselves. At first we thought the mothership had landed in the Capertee Valley but that turned out to be a decoy martian planted by C62. By the time we approached GZ, the sun was low on the horizon. We discovered the alien transportation device had been flattened and knew that our opportunity for first contact had been lost. But we did uncover clear evidence of the visit. A gruesome find with some sort of alien scribble. Will we be able to put the pieces together in time? ...

Bit of a challenge to get to, nice view. Watch out for alien on way in. Eeek

10-Jan-17
I made a day trip up to the mountains in an attempt to collect over a year of unloved days but unfortunately no luck finding the cache. I found a likely spot but it was empty. Hope it hasn't gone missing

28-Aug-15
Having done a number of these over the years we realised we were close so headed over. Given the location and hides for some of the other ones we over thought this one and headed off too low and was searching in all sorts of tight spots. we then read some other logs and changes levels to make a quick find once at the right spot. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Well. Today had to be the day. It was eating away at me. Where is this Alien?!?! This was the last clue we needed. A great spot for a cache. Thankfully we followed the geotrail making the find a lot easier. Pretty high up here!

Side note: I was so excited I'd found the last clue I also forgot to sign the log!

16-Sep-14
On the way home from an enjoyable day of caching, I had a couple of easier caches picked out. I'm a sucker for a series, and I am closing in on this one. Although, as I write this log I have a horrible suspicion that I have lost my notes from the first of this series that I visited.

Bit surprised where on the cliff edge this one was found. I first went to the usual elevation point for Webguy caches with nothing to find. After hauling my way back I tried another spot and there it was.

Found on a beautiful Easter Saturday afternoon, with adl06 and her bud. A quick find with a nice view. Swapped in a scorpion and windup toy, out: watergun and marble.

Staying nearby while going to KEC2013. Love the BM and the countless beautiful walks.

That was way too easy for you Webby! Might have to move its location!!! Get some BadMan influence into you!! Smile. 2nd in the series and more clues. No aliens this time but it wasn't til I was about to leave that I noticed someone or something was in fact watching me!!! #2 definitely has a guardian just above the cache! Seems you are always being watche by beady eyes!

#1524- I know it said difficulty 2, Terrain 3, but just the thought of a Team Webguy cache can sometimes fill people with fears of trepidation. Thus, for some strange reason, this one, only a few kilometres from home had been left on the backburner.
Today I wanted a quick cache to fill a day on the calendar. Bikerbuddy had suggested Blackheath, but I really didn't feel like the traffic drive after the !@#* day I'd had. So he checked my map and realised this one hadn't been done.
I pulled up with 150m from the cache showing on the GPS and thought, it must be 150 straight down. What a walk in the park! (almost literally)50m from the cache I wandered off and said to bikerbuddy, who had come along, 'If that's not a cache, I'm not a cacher!' Thank god, I didn't have to eat my words. Great views from here- thanks Webby A very pleasant afternoon stroll, but not at all what I expected.

Needed another cache for the day. Local caches are becoming scarce so I decided I should do a webby cache for a change. I am sure this is only an intro to his caches and I look forward to all the others. TFTC.

It was raining, but only slightly so I decided to collect the next clue on the way home from work today. It was a very quick walk from the car to GZ and apart from the cache there were beautiful views there too. With the mist over the rocks and gum trees it was a classic mountains view. There were also quite a lot of ants that appeared to be setting up home under the cache. 3 down, 4 to go. I wish I had done more research before starting this series though - the rest of the clues are not exactly on my usual drive home!

Thanks again Team Webguy.

Parked at the start of the access track then to leave the trail for a light short scrub bash to GZ and to where the cache was quickly found. Nice cache, neat hide, cool location, excellent view. 3 out of 6 caches of the aliens series. I look forward to getting the other 3 then the final. TNLN SL TFTC.

Reperio at 115.

After doing a quick search on the GPS to see what interesting caches were around the area, and once I saw this one was nearby, I straight away headed off in it's direction. Enjoyed the walk to GZ, and the bush bash wasn't as nearly as dense as I was picturing, and once I was at the right spot, I not only enjoyed the little vista here, but soon located the cache, and the clue. Have been wanting to make a start on this series, so I'm glad I finally have.

Gratias Team Webguy.

Found at 4.45pm GAFF5 in the company of Phetlern and Robmc. Our last cache for the day and it was a lovely story that kept us entertained while finding our way through the bush. Nothing unusual to report here!
Thanks Team Webguy.

After being foiled in our efforts to do a 4WD cache this afternoon we looked around for another one to do & decided it was time to start searching for the alien base.

Quick walk in along the track, bit of walk through the bush & an easy find.

I took photos of the information needed for later. Thanks Webguy Smile

Nice little bushbash off the track - Left Anton Camping Cacher TB, wrote that we took the TB KENK7X in the cache log, but whoops left it there didn't we (he won't live that one down quickly will he)! Quick find TFTC

Nice place, with a battalion of evil yappy puppies to act as an muggle alert system. Making our way along the track F@tnJonCo and I were hoping that the fences held out as the precocious pooches shifted their attention from use to each other sending the fur flying. Tick, tick, tick. Another one of the Alien Abduction series falls as The Spindoctor continues his quest to hunt down these scum of the galaxy. Was shocked to find the remains of some shocking crime in this cache. The evidence was photographed and logged with the assistance of my forensic expert.
The view from this location was quite stunning, even in the misty rain. Dropped off a travel bug, which is hoping to make it back to Quebec. Bon voyage.
Another Webguy cache is in the can. Wink

My first of the series and I hope it lasts the test of time as I leave the country for a year next week and probably wont rbe able to grab any others until then. Photographed the grissly clue with Spindoc today and recorded the info. An interesting story... I wonder what will happen next? The rain was misty and lightly falling but after successfully tackling "Daylight" from the rear end today this was a walk in the bush Wink Cheers Webby! I also dropped a bug to be moved on.

I was a little worried -- and not only about possible UFO encounters -- when I drove slowly down bushy Taronga Way on my way towards GZ and reached the Burgessiana Reserve main entrance, because I saw clear signs that this was one of the places subjected to the RFS's spring 'hazard reduction burning' over the weekend.

Undeterred however, I optimistically trekked down the high quality 'expressway' fire trail in the light rain until it seemed that I was as close to the now-famous 'alien abduction' site as possible, and then bush bashed to the left, following my GPSr's readings and trying to avoid as many blackened trees and bushes as possible. When I got to the cliffs, with some great views, I knew from the CO's UFO story that I was close to the right place for 'lost time.'

And so it proved to be! All was quiet and there was no humming and not a single flashing light. My iPhone, wristwatch and GPSr all seemed to continue working normally. Alien beings were apparently avoiding the rain and staying out of generally dismal weather. Perhaps they had activated their waterproof cloaking devices. Or maybe the burning off had otherwise disturbed their delicate technology.

In any case, I found the geocache to be in good shape and the contents dry, well away from the burnt area, hidden within camo that will never burn. Retrieved the 'Lincoln City' GC and left a $2 coin. SL and took a few photos of the surrounding area. Will check to see if anything odd is visible in them, after I retrieve them from my iPhone.

Many thanks to Team Webguy.

What a top spot this is!!! Followed the path in and then headed bush. Coords were Bingo and although a little damp inside (one of the clips was not on properly - now fixed), I really enjoyed the views of the fast approaching storm. I forgot my trackables in the car which ticked me off no end. Alas, took GC as my wife loves a little bling.

GReat overhang for those who like to absail and some interesting climbs can be found below. The area has become alittle over growen now. But the views back to the south and west are still as good. A great day of caching in alot of places I needed to come back to and remember, some will always be a special place.

Geo-daughter wanted an outing today and took over GPS duties and soon had us safely at GZ. Geo-wife and I sat enjoying the views while geo-daughter found it quickly. We retrieved the required information, and now have completed 50%. Only 3 to go and then …… beam me up! Big Grin

05-Apr-10
Easy path nearly right to the outpost...Jumbuck had this one in no time flat and took a pic of all the info therein...these caches become a little tricky as the GPSr etc only show the first bits of the names, so they all look the same!

03-Apr-10
Being a Webby cache I was expecting a more devious cache hide, hahaha...
The scenery is great, some really good views and so close to civilization.
Thanks for the cache, I will take the clues and one day add them to the others.

What I thought would be a boring urban cache turned out to be more like a bush one, bit of bush bashing and then a view that seemed miles from anywhere..
Easy find. Thanks for showing me.

This was a flashback in time coming here. My old school just down the road holds some fond memories and the access street to GZ was where we use to go when we wagged. Back then the street stopped at the first bend.

Since the sun had just set when I was here I was going off the glow radiating over the mountains. This didn't provide much of a view but I could rushing water below.

I grabbed the necessary info and was on my way.
Thanks

Did this with the Geokids, late afternoon in the middle of the week. A nice diversion from work. My first TeamWebguy cache!

We’d decided to wait a day or so before seeking these new “Alien†caches in order not to be trampled by the FTF frenzy and also in hope of better weather. As it was it was still quite a cloudy mountains summer day when we parked at our chosen access point ready for anything & everything at the start of our quest for the new alien base. It struck us immediately that it was strange to see a concrete “fire trail†heading off innocuously into the bush in a nice but otherwise normal seeming part of mountains suburbia. Concrete? The sort of concrete one associates with airstrips and such. Very peculiar. Cautiously probing along the path we espied & followed a route heading off through the scrub towards a rocky escarpment area which looked out o’er the valley below. Being early in the morning there was the plenty of birdlife around indicating no other presences so to speak. The cache was retrieved and the information gathered and we were on our way. Quite a nice little spot is this and very easy to get to . As to the concrete “fire trail What nefarious purpose does it serve. We have our suspicions but how to prove? How indeed. No swaps made but we dropped off the Geokid2 coin.

Second on our alien discovery tour. After the nepean cache this one was a breeze! Was mystified by the humming insect. Kept trying to get a good view of it but it never slowed enough to inspect.... Thanks for more of your awesome views

24-Jan-10
You were all warned by the humming noise, don't say I did'nt warn you, who will be next to experience "Lost Time"?

24-Jan-10
Another 2TF. We new we were going to be a little late to this one for a FTF. Around GZ we were very surprised to hear a strange humming sound. A little spooked, the western woylies started searching for the source of this wierd sound. It turned out to be some rather large flying insects hovering around the ledges and trees. Strange, but true!

Drats 3rd to find. Not early enough to beat Ruffasguts 4x4, Congrats. Nice spot and we (with Daniel 2:22) also heard the large insects or was that an echo of an alien spaceship passing over? Youngest son found it. Took LED keyring and left a waterpistol to fight off the aliens. TFTC Team Webguy.

24-Jan-10
Thank God this was an easier walk than the last! I don'tt know how long my legs can last, I arrived at GZ and approaching some likely spots noticed a Yellow tailed black Cockatoo preening itself in a dead tree not far away, I tried to near it a little to get a better shot and just as you'd expect it flew away, Oh well next time..... the caching duties now and this was quite a bit easier than what I had expected, I was glad to see the empty log book and quickly put in my silver sticker, Beauty another FTF! thats 2 from 2 for the morning!!! A truly beautiful location Webby if I had not been on the hunt I'd have stopped and taken it all in quite a bit more, Thanks for bringing me here.

B.T.W I to had some interaction with these strange flying bugs that seemed almost to whistle as they flew around in 2 - 3 metre circles...perhaps they have been sent to watch??????
