Well it was starting to rain so the geoson tried to turn on one of the discarded TVs close by. Nice area at the end of the road. TNLN, TFTC
geoson found it while the gps was still deciding on how close we were to GZ.
Noticed a lot of the log book out amongst the grass, collected it up and placed back in container, time for a new log though now.

Have decided that this cache has had its day, the area around here is littered with old TVs, vacuum cleaners and God knows what else, has become a dumping grouynd and has been muggled a few times now. When we first placed it, it was still a ggod distance away from any development and a pretty spot in the bush. Alas, no more. Have actually found a nicer spot further down road that I can keep a closer eye on it so am planning on rehiding and renaming as well.
Just logging in and out a new trackable. Since placing this cache, what was a pretty area has become a garbage dump. I have recently moved into my new house just down and across the road from cache in new subdivision. I have asked the developers to clean up the garbage and if doesnt get cleaned up soon, I will archive cache as not a very nice place to visit let alone live!
Our 4568th overall find. This was my 69th find of 137 total finds for our Canberra and surrounds caching spree with FarmerFrentzen
Found at about 12:06 PM. As we drove up to this one we noticed the rubbish everywhere. The cache was a simple find but unfortunately the area is not real nice anymore.
Thanks to polliwogs for the cache.

Found during a mini invasion of the ACT and its surrounds with Big Matt and Shell.
Almost a driveby and unfortunately the area has become a dumping ground.

A quick find, #2 for the day with teamppss. Swapped path tags, Aussiepuschaks for teamcs. Shame about the residential rubbish dump nearby - some people can afford to replace their tube tv with a LCD screen but can't afford 20 bucks for the tip fee! TFTC
2nd for the day during a quick weekend of caching up from Vic and to catch up with Aussiepuschaks. Took TB Shorty Forty and TEAMCS path tag and dropped TB Cocatoo. TFTC
TFTC TNLN Discovered with Bruiser_OZ and at the same time as Taskforce70. First real cachers we have met in the wild.
Bumped into another Cacher in the wild! Hi Angus!......but Taskforce70 was there first logged and left a small toy car and took the puzzle which had GEOKID very puzzled indeed! GEOHOUND was swamped with the tall grass but had fun! TFTC
Found With Angus_CS after meeting another Cacher Took Christmas Geo Coin Left Shorty Forty Travel Bug TFTC

and a nice little stroll
Thanks
and a nice little stroll

Another quick find and I continue the charge towards 300.
Nice location, almost stepped on a lizard on the way. A shame though that it's becoming an unofficial garbage dump.
Cheers polliwogs.

Reperio at 1730. Finished work for the evening and headed out to grab this one. Was surprised to find I could park within 150m of GZ, and after a short walk the cache was found quickly. This is going to be a beautiful area to live when it's finished.
Gratias.

The plan was to head out this way to some of the display homes to try and get some landscaping ideas for my back yard but soon got lured into the fun of caching. Not having had very many finds lately it wasn't hard to convince myself to go for a few finds.
I thought I would attempt to make this one a drive-by and almost got myself in a bit of trouble. There was a bunch of wires laying around and when I drove over some it managed to get stuck under my car. So I stopped and removed the wire and walked over to the cache. An easy find when I got to GZ.
There are more televisions dumped out here than what I have in my house.

Well, what was intended to be a bike ride out for some caches changed when the geokids piped up with "Are you going caching???" A quick rethink lead me to some easily accessible looking caches in Ngunnawal..... Firstly Google Maps shows roads which aren't there yet, then my Tom-Tom doesn't show roads which are there! Finally we found our way to the end of Horse Park drive, and from there it was a fairly easy walk and find. It looks like someone has been dumping rubbish very close to GZ, so I kept a close rein on the geokids. Toys swapped, log signed, and it was back to the car.... TFTC!
An interesting detour to check out some of the new construction in the area - I'm amazed at how far the "urban is sprawling". A pleasant little stroll just past the sprawl until the very end - someone has been dumping an unusual collection of garbage right near GZ - including Christmas decorations...??
TFTC - I hope it isn't removed if anyone decides to do a clean up of the area.

First find for the night with kwyjii and co. Not too hard, but still fun - maybe the dark makes it better. Took a pez dispenser, left a bionicle.
Driveby thanks to the beast, I didnt realize that the road extended that far, shame that it hasn't been finished yet.

Found with o'cholio while searching for a new location for a replacement cache.
This cache was too close to one potential spot so we just moved it the opposite direction from it.
Really should get around to activating it as it has been hanging around for months now. LOL
Thanks for the cache.

Found by Mary & David at 1530. Great views, and we continue to be impressed by the way Canberra's new suburbs are developed, with most facilities in place before the residents move in. Dropped off 'The Great Australian Thong' TB. Our thanks to Polliwogs.
Think I must have managed to discover the most circuitous route to this cache from the previous one. I hope this fabulous stand of trees does not have to yield to the developers bulldozers. TFTH
Found @ 4:44pm with Fore!, Shadow! and Huxley the geohound
Last find for the day and we made it a drive-by in the X Trail! Took/left nothing. Collected "Aussie Track-a-Bear" TB, TFTC!

As allrounder said - this one turned into a drive-by [:o)]
we live just off Horse-Park Drive.... but the other dead end of it.
It seems so weird that they haven't completed the circuit - it will certainly make travelling around this northern end that much easier still!
TFTC.
Took nothing left wristband.

Nice quick find out here. How funny to see a road that doesn't lead anywhere! I guess we know which direction the development is heading.....

#4171 Ah this is a spot I'll remember for a while. Having completed the caching business I thought this would be a good spot to sleep in the car. So I returned a few hours later where I started to get some sleep, that was till the burn-out kings turned up at 12.15am and proceeded to donuts around the roundabout for the next 45min.
Oh well you get that when you sleep in the car. The urban sprawl will soon consume this site.
Thanks

Having been away from the area for only 4 months, I was surprised at how much the estate development has progressed. Geohubby, the geohounds and I enjoyed the stroll around the area to collect some local caches that have popped up in my absence, and this made the list.
TFTC, was sorry to see it had been found earlier today and the TB obviously taken.

Short walk to this cache this morning. Lived nearby 6 years ago and surprised how many new houses are there. Use to be horse paddocks. Looks like we just beat RatPackLeavings to the cache. Took TB left miss piggy.
The printer is defunct and am waiting for the new one. I took Samson (a mighty little netbook) with the cache page to find this one. He hibernates quite happily in Ubuntu. This was a quick find and it looks like despite promises, HPD is not going to connect to Mirrabei any time soon. TFTC
Some road worker watering nearby but not close enough to worry about. Nice easy find, thanks.
Just logging in some of our newest geocoins and TBs before moving them on to the MegaEvent in Wagga.
Found with Moneydork, Rediguana, Tofska, and Pohutukawa on our road trip to the Wagga Mega event.

Nearly missed this one, it wasnt in the obvious place where I thought it would be
but just as I was about to leave, one last look back and I saw the hiding spot!
Took nothing left the Jarouch letterbox coin and a couple of phone dangles.

Around a couple of road obstacles to arrive at GZ where the cache was quickly to hand. TFTC
We had to zip passed a couple of road blocks to drive to this one. It looks like a newly expanding area.
Cheers

Found with the geokids late at night. we drove to within about 15 meters of the cache... tftc!
Not a muggle in sight let alone a car. We had the whole road to ourselves until I was walking back to the car from the cache and saw a learner using the road and end circle for practice. Nice arvo for caching with a willing little geokid. Took the travel bug.
Found with the Reluctant Companion on our trip to Albany for the Ulysses AGM. Finally the rain stopped and we were able to go for a walk with Geoson SS_BJC in search of some more Canberra caches. Enjoyable hide - the trees in this area are really beautiful and everything was so fresh after the rain. Took 2 geocoins. Left TB. TFTC.
Quick find in the company of McWin. I'm sure I have looked down on the area from the nearby caches.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Someone in our group had been here before, so was able to drive us within a few metres of the cache. Then it was an easy find, thanks Polliwogs. Left a coin.
Last of 4 for the day. I can remember about 12 years when relatives bought a house nearby, the agent said the roads around here will all be finished soon. The rellies have since moved on, and the roads.........well you can what has happened with those.
Thanks for another cache in this 'bushland'.

2044 - A quick run around this evening...
Sol and I did the drive out further as per several others. Approached and saw the obvious spot - which had the cache in it !! Happy with that.
TNLN - TFTC !!

Had to come and get this one on the way home from picking up JJ before we went back to cubs.
As we drove up another car was in the spot hmmm had to be a geocacher yep. Jusojara stopped and had a quick chat. Good to catch up with you again.
Then we went on to find the cache.

Grabbed this one after the Girls Calo Rego day and luckily I had the Ute so I could park within 10m of the cache. I first looked for this one in a lower likely spot but didn't see anything in there that looked like the cache. A step back and the cache was in hand. I hadn't realised until now that the road had been taken this far, but now I know.

After a false start in thw wrong new suburb, we got to try out all of the new road and bit yet to come. We fell for the decoy, but Mr_roo soon found the cache. Thanks.

How is Canberra is growing! Got to this new section of Canberra and was amazed how big it was becoming. Hopefully the cache will stay as I think this area will stay a island. After a little searching I found it TFTC

Decided to look for this as part of geohound's daily walk and, after an initial 'false alarm', found it relatively easily. Geohound kept herself occupied as I filled in the logbook, the strong wind though made writing a little challenging. I swapped the green spring for a yellow and brown one. The cache needed a little more camouflage to keep it hidden and some extra leaf litter hopefully did the trick.

Thanks Polliwogs for the chance to explore up the new part of the road. Nice old trees.

Hmm - embarrassing - another Ngunnawal cache FTFed right under my nose, and I really do mean close.
Drove even closer than McPhan! - Quite obvious where the cache was going to be??? TNLN, thanks.
Drove close, but not that close, walked in for a pleasant walk amongst the BIG trees, NICE. Found eventually, tricky!
2798. [font=Trebuchet Ms][green]Well I guess that answer the poser from Vikings Bowls - yes I will go for the other FTF. (Forgot to thank the UMP for my Australia Day presents as well - Thanks theUMP) Managed to find a way in to drive a bit closer and then a quick wander over to GZ. What???? It's not there? That's the obvious spot, surely they haven't published it without it being there? (Not that that's ever happened before). Eventually found it staring me in the face. I'll put it down to torchlight hindering this find.
