No luck here today but what a gem of a spot, loved the gardens and the bird aviary that I never knew was even here. Thanks for taking me to this spot, shame there was no cache to get a smilie
Quick find. Came at it from probably the wrong direction and didn't see any ducks. Could hear them though. TFTC
Nice and easy find on our trip back North.

Gosh the park has been wet. Cache all dry though. Peacock in full squawk, ducklings alridy eyeing up humans for a feed. Cheers
Completely missed the road in to this one. Made a dash to GZ with SolDelune across some pretty muddy parkland.
Lovely area though. Thanks for another Bitsprayer.

The biggest challenge here was finding our way in, with those in the first car insisting on going around through the truck depot and having to jump a fence. Why not walk in off the main car park? Thanks Bitsprayer.
After a couple of days in Dunedin it was time for the team to head to Invercargil. This was one of the many stops along the way. Another neat little find for us.
Found with ZsaZsa7, Winglen, fitzy_1965 and Rextrex (local NZer) on our trip around the South Is after attending the New Zealand Mega. We managed to grab a few caches on travels and this was just one of them.
Thanks for the cache and the chance to see more of the South island.

A shared find with my Aussie caching mates Winglen, Zsazsa7, Sol de Lune and Fitzy-1965 as a part of the NZMEGA2012 experience and our subsequent tour.
We arrived at this cache from the wrong direction - i.e. through the middle of a trucking company yard. Half the team hopped the fence and started the search while the other half negotiated our vehicle out through the trucks and into the front gate of the park to meet up with them. Nice wee park, thanks Bitsprayer.

5573 + 591 = 6164. Day 4 of my week long visit to the New Zealand South Island for the NZ Mega 2012 event along with Sol de Lune, Zsazsa7, Winglen and RexTrex.
Today we drove from Dunedin down to Invercargill caching along the way. After struggling initially to find the way in we made the breakthrough and the find. Thanks Bitsprayer !

Nice park a bit wet under foot in places at the moment, but managed to find it without any major dramas. TFTC

The first cache of the day, less than 100m from where stayed ! Lovely area to walk to when it's not raining.
There were absolutely noone but ducks around today. Due to the rain we didn't go and take pictures of the pretty birds, The cache was a quick find

Stopped for lunch on a caching road trip. The aviary is an added bonus with the peacock keen to show us his tail feathers. Thanks for bringing us here. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
This is a popular spot at lunch time! Great park with the aviary, playground and pond. Enjoyed our stop here. Found with debsnz
Signed the temporary logbook. TFTC.

Parked up nearby and after looking at the avairies homed in on the cache site. Sadly it was saturated and the log was very difficult to sign.
Sadly this cache site is suffering from water intrusion and the log is very, very soggy.
A good cache in a very nice park, quite easy to find. TFTC

Found it, but the lid was off the container, and it was full of water. Log book soaked and stuck together and pen didn't work.
I'll pop back tomorrow and fix up as best I can, I have some sticky pads for a log bok and I'll pop in a pencil + sharpener.
Cheers

Thanks for bringing me here. There was a lot more to this park than I was expecting.
Having stopped off at the nearby campsite overnight this one was a must.
Also good to log a cache owned by Bitsprayer whom we met at a cache on Rabbit Island during our trip in 2006.
Quickly found after a pleasant stroll along the waterside.
Left Shark Finger Puppet.
Logged through Birthday geocoin, Blue Sphere TB and Lighthouse geocoin.

Been in this beautiful park before. Great to have another opportunity to visit it. Cache well placed away from muggles. Easy find.
A quick find and my first in Balclutha for the day. Picked up TB - I recognise these from work. TFTC
VERY quiet this afternoon, not even the ducks even though I did have some bread just in case... great wee hide, TFTC!!
A quick find while travelling through Balclutha today. Droppped of TB. TFTC [^]

5894 Nice location, remember visiting the park for another cache on our previous trip, TFTC
Quick find on way home to invercargill after bowls nationals. Had seen this park before when bowling at Balclutha Bowling Club over fence.
Could not see any ducks, but a plastic container. So we had the bread for ourselves. TFTC
And so for the second night running we find ourselves parked up in the camper less than 300ft from a cache - many thanks Bitsprayer! Took a little stroll in the park after finding it. SL. TFTC.
Was staying at the camp last night, was up early so went looking for this one. A tourist had pitched his tent 25m from the cache so I had to tread quietly so not to wake him up! Cache had no toys in it so left a plane and a pinball game. TFTC
A popular spot in the afternoon, a heap of teens about the place enjoying themselves. TNLN Thanks
Heh it was funny watching the frisky teens at this park - spring was definitely in the air! Moneydork made his 8000th find here! Congratulations! Cheers Gav [6793]
Easy find after waiting on muggle on bike and his dog to pass by.
Imagine this park would be a great spot in the summertime. TFTC.
