Out and about cleaning up a bunch of hides South of the River. A glorious, albeit warm day to cleanup some dots on the map. Thanks for the cache. A glorious walk here and a nice view from the final

Generally quick finds todayThanks to all the COs for the hides I found.

Well I’ll start out at good bits. A beautiful walk with the geodog who enjoyed a little paddle in the stream near the end of the walk. Came back to my car to find that it had been broken into and several items were taken . So I guess maybe leave someone with your car
This is my 11334find.
Thankyou astrohiker for placing and maintaining this cache

After seeing this one had not been found since owner maintenance, and having some time off with my wife, we decided to take a bit of a walk. After finding WP1 without too much trouble, we took some time to admire the views and then took off in search of the final. Arriving at GZ, we had the cache in hand quickly. It was in good condition and we really enjoyed seeing the little canyon. Thanks for bringing us here Astrohiker.

The cache is enabled again. Thanks for the heads up everyone.

Easier to find wp 1. Hence the move.

Going in today.

27-Feb-22
I am planning to ride in and fix wp 1. The plate is still there just the dead tree has fallen over I'd say.

01-Jan-22
I'll get onto it as soon as my sunburn goes down. Got that yesterday.

01-Jan-22
I think the tree that wp 1 is at has fallen down. Will go for a ride next few days.

###Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###
This geocache has been brought to my attention as being in need of an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache.
I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner.

The cache owner needs to:
* Investigate the situation and either restore the cache, or address any other issues, such as correcting the D/T rating if necessary.
* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log
* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done, and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present.

Otherwise :
* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary, or provide other information..
**Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this, that is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**.

Alternatively:

* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.

In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by astrohiker and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.
[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)
**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.
If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache.
*Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*

The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is there, and in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches.

Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.
Thank you
Balayang

Think it’s time to get a look over on this one.

Hmmm, no luck here today. A few mounting DNF’s, might need a CO check. Cheers Team Barritts

No chain/tag or container at WP1

02-Feb-20
Wow. Took some time and effort but awesome find. Looks like this one hasn’t been touched in years and I can see why. Out of the way for most folk and requires some muscle and fitness to get up down the hills. Luckily we’re local and know the terrain. Hope more folk come here again soon. Does need some maintenance. Like a new container.

Found a small container with a notepad and pencil at WP1, but couldn't find the tag. It's been 2 1/2 years since a find, so may contact CO and return another day.

Found this one with Leega whilst in the area. We attended a wedding at the Darlington Estate and seen this cache and thought we would come back in the morning and give it a go. After caching in Midland/Woodbridge for a while we decided to head back up this way. We parked up and started the trek and the skies started getting darker and darker but we decided we probably would get up here to do this one for a long time. So on we went. Found wp1 prerrty easily and Leega got a lot of wildflower pictures on the way. Heading off to find the cache and we encountered the downhill slides on the gravel but managed to stay upright. Soon we were at the cache and had it in hand. So after nearly a year since it was last logged it's nice to say wp1 info and the cache are both doing well. Then come the trek back up as the rain started which got us huffing and puffing but it was a good work out. This is a beautiful spot. Thanks for bring us here we were so glad we come back to do this one. TFTC astrohiker.

We had a wedding at the estate last evening and decided to return to do the loop. I'm glad axell33 and I chose to come back and not look for it in our wedding attire in the dark after the wedding!! It was an amazing walk that was a bit of a challenge but worth! Loved the hide and the scenery on the way. Tyftc.

Hi, This is not a hard cache to do. But riding a mountain bike will make it go quicker. But you might have to walk it in a couple of 20 m sections. Smile

Even though this cache is really close to home we'd kept putting it off in favour of hunts further afield but as we approached our 500th cache we knew we wanted to make this one our anniversary find. It was a perfect day for a bush walk and the children loved exploring the multitude of rock cairns at the beginning of the walk. It was pretty easy going to the waypoint with lots of wildlife to spot but once we started heading downhill to the cache the fun really started with us slip-sliding on the pea gravel like we were skiing. Much squealing and amusement. A bit of a scramble to GZ and we were rewarded with our treasure, find number 500. We looked out for Jasen and Janine's son's hat but didn't spot it. This was a great walk, thanks Astrohiker!

Looking for somewhere to take Superman & Ironman (aka. DangerMouse09 & Master 4) this little walk sparked my attention... We parked up & headed towards the WP, enjoying the spectacular scenery along the way Smile After walking for sometime I was wondering if I had actually parked at the correct spot but with a bit of huffing & puffing & drink stops along the way we were presented with awesome view from above... The kids found a lovely little waterhole full of tadpoles & baby frogs, so I left them to play whilst I found the WP.

After spending some time here having some morning tea & soaking up the serenity it was time to move on to the final... Plugging in the co-ords, my suspicions were confirmed & we headed back the way we had already come Razz Obviously I didn't read the instructions as well as I thought!!!

After heading back down the hill for a few hundred metres, I realised that Master 4 did not have his hat & we had left it back up on the rocks Surprised There was no way I was heading back up the hill again, so if anyone finds a Quicksilver hat Master 4 would love it back. Big Grin We then got to a point where it was time to go off trail... Not sure if we chose the right spot, but we stomped our way through the bush & again the kids found the area lots of fun, so they climbed the rocks whilst I hunted down the final prize [^] I missed finding the cache on my first glance & made it alot harder than it should have been, but eventually found it as the kids came to help!!!

Again we enjoyed soaking up the serenity of this little hidden gem before braving the uphill back to the car... TFTC astrohiker Big Grin We loved this area & I hope to return & complete the loop as I should of... I am still wondering if it would have been an easier walk doing it the way it was intended Wink

I've been planning to do this multi for ages and with prefect caching weather like this morning I couldn't put it off any longer. Parked where suggested and enjoyed the walk out to WP1. Great country to be wandering around in.
Quickly find the tag, then back to the final GZ for another quick find.
Thanks for a great multi, have a fav point.

Contrived to make this into an out and back ride but saw that there was a track up to the first waypoint ok. Despite the description, this is not a beginner's mountain biking track. Most of it is rideable but certain unavoidable sections would probably put off a beginner for life! Steep, rutted, pea gravel. Not an easy ride. Loved the scenery and riding around on the flattish rocks though! Took the TB. TFTC!

Winter's afternoon walk in the sun. Found with the geo kids. TFTC. DEC were burning-off in the area however the cache was all OK. Dropped TB.

This cache has been on my To-Do list for a looooooooong time, so what better day to come out than a wet, windy, stormy almost-winter's day!

I have walked along this track many times in the past to go rock climbing at the nearby boulders, but never since the cache was released (d'oh).

The trail in and out felt a lot easier today as I wasn't carrying a backpack full of climbing gear, and it wasn't 40 degrees...

I enjoyed the walk and found the cache without trouble. Thanks for the hunt astrohiker!

Nice hike with the geodog - should have done this ages ago as it's the closest one to home- live next-door at Darlington estate winery Smile

We love the caches that happen to be near great crags. Although climbing was the main agenda point today, we were more then happy to make two small detours to grab the cache. We were lucky to have some gorgeous weather today. Thanks so much for placing this cache!

A lovely walk that was challenging for us on the uphill return. Gladly it was a cool day and the rain held off. Took Captain Cook and left whistle. TFTC.

Working nights this week, so I had the morning free to get some much-needed exercise. Ignoring the description and parking waypoint, I parked near the Winery and turned this into an "out'n'back" rather than a loop, but with some bush-bashing along kangaroo tracks where the Garmin map didn't show the connecting path 100m around the corner. (Should've looked at Google Maps on the phone, but reception's spotty out here.)

A lovely crisp day for a walk in this beautiful part of the hills and some ups and downs to get the desired cardio working.

No swaps, but I did replace the worn-out plastic bad the logbook fell right through!

Spectacular scenery. Thanks for bringing me here!! I must have started in the wrong place cos it wasn't a loop for me. The walk was a lot more strenuous than I expected from the description of "about 3 up and down bits" and I just made it back to the car as it got dark. Well worth the effort though. Thanks heaps!!

Just dropping off the Grape geocoin as it wishes to go to worthy caches & this is certainly one. Ok, on ya bikes & go collect it.

12-Mar-10
Found it.
Did the 1st part of the walk 2 days ago but it got too dark to continue. Finished today starting at Darlington estate Winery. Both quite difficult finds but a challenge. Realised I was 2TF. TTB and LTB. TFTC

An early start saw me head up with my bike to have a crack at this cache. What a great ride! Not too long but enough to highlight how rusty my MTB'ing skills have become. I love caches which focus on the journey to the cache rather than the cache itself. Great views along the way and an easy find. An added bonus was that I was FTF. Thanks Astrohiker for the FTF prize. T: GC, L: TJ #38 GC. TFTH.

Just adding Shr00m`s micro compass rose geocoin. Footnote; Have just been back to WP 2. Its about a 10 to 12 min ride from the parking area. I have made the final cache coordinates sign better to read & have added a small container for those who forgot to bring a pen & paper. Smile
