Out with SAawsome004 for a day of caching. Unfortunately the number of did not finds is adding up to be more than the finds. . We have it a good go but just didn't come up with the goods. Another one for another day.
The view was good from the viewing platform and quite a few other carloads had the same idea today. It was windy, but not cold. The cache - well it proved to either be hiding too well, or not there at all! Besides there were too many interruptions to do a really good search. Guess we will have to visit another time. Thanks for giving us a reason to come here reverb
We did a slight detour to look at this amazing salt Lake. It was very windy, but we took a few photos and noticed the pink tinge on the Lake. We used to buy pool salt from the Cheetham Salt Co. We looked here and there, but kept getting interrupted by muggles and had to give up the search. Next time. Thanks for bringing us here anyway reverb.
On a road trip from the ACT thru northern Victoria, to South Australia then back through Victoria (great Ocean road) and caching along the way. Whatever cache we happened to pass and I was in the mood we stopped to find and log. Some easier some harder:-) TFTC
Camped at the nearby rest area, first cache of the new day. Oh this cache could have been way tougher had it been hidden on the viewing platform:-)

Hubby was away for work and had to head Warrnambool, Mildura and Bendigo and Ballarat. He drove past this lake and thought there must be a cache here and stopped checked and sure enough there was. He normally does a Munzee or tolerates my caching but occasionally he will do one in his work travels. He advised that the LOG was damp but not wet. Thanks for the cache. He did a lot of travelling today so it broke the monotony.
While on an amazing 7000km roadtrip to the NT with Pacgirl we did a lot of sightseeing, and a little bit of caching along the way as well . The aim was simply to drive north towards the Red Centre, do a couple of laps around Uluru (one by car, and one on foot), and then head back south to Victoria.
Day 15 had us travelling the last stretch from Mildura back home.
This was the first time we'd been to this interesting Sea Lake area. This location would make a good earthcache!
The cache was found relatively easily. Thanks, reverb.

Stopped by here after a massive Mallee roadtrip. A bit of a detour but well worth checking this spot out. Cache was a littke tricky. What an interesting spot. Cheers and tftc!
Found at 9.30am whilst on our way to outback SA. A windy cold day, but great to see the lake full.

Easy enough find (once we waited for the muggles to move along). As this area has had a lot of rain lately, the lake is quite full. Pretty windy & plenty of flies!!! TFTC
Came to lake Tyrrell in the hopes of seeing the magic of the lake but no luck as the weather was cloudy and extremely windy. Found the cache fairly fast, TFTC!
What a cold and windswept place this was today. Water falling out of the sky as well as plenty in the lake. Quick find. TFTC
A quick and easy drive by as we cache our way through the area today. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

**On a Sunday morning cache drive in the Sea Lake Area**
**Parked "Big Momma"just off the road and strolled over towards GZ**
**Have driven past this area a few times in the past, but this is our first visit to the lake**
**The container was quickly spotted in its reclining position**
**TNLN but our autograph and calling card, replaced container where found**
**Next we headed off to a Green Lake to visit an old man** [:o)]
**Thanks for the cache** [^]

Always ment to stop here for a look and with a cache here had an excuse to visit. Great view Easy find TFTC
What a beautiful spot. We would never have come here if it wasn't for geocaching. TFTC
Got here a bit late to see anything, i will have to visit again the next time i'm heading this way. TFTC
Tftc another stop on our way back to Melbourne took nothing left a poppy magnet
Sheesh there was a million Asian tourists taking photos. Had to be very stealthy. Thanks. I came here a few years ago and It was much prettier.
quick stop on the way to melbourne to enjoy the view and log the cache. TFTC!
The road trip with nanton34 and I headed south east from Ouyen and I was starting to fade as the road trip from there wasn't offering anything all that remarkable and we had clocked up many hours driving. This impressive salt lake and unnecessarily large viewing platform revived my enthusiasm and the cache was a quick find. tftc
A quick find after a short detour off the highway. Seems a little weird having such an extravagant viewing platform at this location but then i don't plan these things TFTC

Sorry for the generic log, trying to quickly log all my recent finds before I forget them all.
Lord Rossatron and I went on a road trip to Bendigo to do a spot of geocaching while going to attend a funeral in Melbourne on the Monday. The goal was to find our 100th cache on our trip, with our current total on 61 we were going to have a busy 2 days. Our trip reached a little roadblock when we blew our tyre and we lost a little more time changing it than we care to admit. After completing a drive that should have taken 4 hours if not caching in 8 hours we were very pleased to finally reach our destination. Luckily we took a major dint out of our goal finding 28 geocaches on the way, so we could have a slightly more relaxing trip back. A quick drive around Bendigo 2 days later had us find another few caches getting our total to 95 before it was time to drive home, and re visit some of the caches we drove past or DNF the first trip. Success!! Finding the few caches we DNF we managed to get to the 100th Cache. Will sleep easy over the next few days. TFTC

I found this while driving to Mildura for some speedway meetings. It was a most enjoyable day. tftc.

We're off on another family geocaching holiday! The geofamily: Geoparents = moneydork and tounga, geosis = locus cache and myself. Another raid into Mexico and that other state to the north of Mexico.
Geodad kindly brought us here to see the lake and taste the flies. An interesting location, the lake seems to go for miles.
I didn't see a trackable in this cache. Since it's been some time since the trackable was placed here I'd say that it has unfortunately gone missing. As the owner of this cache you can mark the trackable as missing. This action will remove it from the cache inventory and place it in the great cache in the sky.
Thanks for the cache reverb.

Day 3 of the Bendigo trip with sushilord, Moneydork and Tounga.
It's always interesting how much time caching consumes on the drive home
34 finds and 1 DNF during the journey made for a very late night arrival back in Adelaide but Oh, what fun was had
A slight detour so that geodad could show geomum the lake.
Great view and that is one huge puddle
Of course, pictures were taken and the sight enjoyed
A quick find, not quite where we expected it to be.

This was one of the caches I found on my travels.
After watching the AFL Grand Final & staying over night at mates (Trout's) place, It was time to hit the road again.
It was another great day for caching, with the first signs of summer in spring. (Bring it on.)
I soon had the cache in hand and the log was duly signed.
'Scrat' visited your cache whilst on his Great Aussie Adventure.

Taking the geo kids caching during the school holidays, while towing a 24 foot caravan. We'll grab every opportunity to grab a cache. Enjoyed checking out the salt lake closer as there were muggles at GZ. Made a quick find at GZ, pity about all the rubbish.
Thanks reverb for placing & maintaining these cache for us to find.

Time for a geo-road trip, with caching mate ahomburg. In a bid to avoid the madness and hussle & bussle of Chrissie, we had 3 days up our sleeves, to do all things .... GPS games related
This geocache is Another great example of why I cache. This was a fantastic spot that I would never have discovered if not for caching. GZ provided a fantastic panoramic view of the lake and both ahomburg and I really enjoyed this stop.
Many thanks to reverb for placing this cache. TNLN

Find #4325
Well, it was summer holiday time and time for a road trip. Both my Housemate Obi-Cal and I had no commitments for the next three days, so it was decided a bit of a drive was in order. I was keen to find some caches in certain locations for both Victoria Country Road Atlas Challenge (GCY98X) and also the newly published Victorian LGA Polygon Challenge (GC5DFFR) and Obi-Cal wanted to gain some more points in another location based game he is passionate about.
Well, it was day three, time to make a bee line of sorts towards home. First stop was a Bakery in Ouyen for some Breakfast and a caffeine hit. This was a fantastic spot to view the lake from and yet another place we would never have discovered if it was not for geocaching. Cache is in great condition.

Find # 1721 @ 1142 H
Found with Tyred n Cranky on our annual trip to Mildura for our participation in the Port To Port bicycle ride that finishes in Echuca.
Having a clear road going up one Hwy we decided to take another North as there was some caches to find on this one.
once we got our names in the log we took in the view of all the salt. And noticed a couple of large piles quite a way off.
this cache was well worth the stop and the view.

Took little at, left big cat. Hot lunch spot but beautiful. Lake drying out so lots of salt crust to photograph.
Found while hunting for White Winged Fairy-wrens and Rufous Fieldwrens that Lake Tyrell is famous for. Co-ords were spot on, an easy find. TFTC
3634.Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1130. We are on the road to the BigLittleEvent 2 in SA. Approached the cache location along some of the local back roads instead of into Sea Lake and turning north. We have been to these viewing platforms some time ago before gc. The container is in good condition. The Mrs took many photos of the lake. SL Tnx reverb
Stunning Lake very pink today and have some great photos. Very extensive system. So glad when I came to the fork in the road I took the less trodden path. Tftc
After leaving Sea Lake with our 4WD and caravan we Mrs one-eyed and I took a detour towards the local salt lake for more caching.

It was beautiful down by Lake Tyrell early this morning. The air was completely still making for great reflections off the lake. The cache was a quick find because we found it out in the open. Thankfully, the contents were in good condition. Thanks for the acche reverb and thanks for bringing us to this lovely location.
On a return trip from Bolton to Jeparit with Geogran1937. There was a pen alongside the cache perhaps left by a former cacher? We left it there.Very cold when we were there.
This was a really nice spot that Sully and I decided to have our lunch at. the value of the van meant we were eating bacon and egg muffins in minutes, with a cuppa and a beer. Thanks for bringing us this peaceful spot reverb, now it was my turn in the driver's seat
Bogonghazy and I were homebound today after 9 days away for a short break in a slightly warmer climate. The road to GZ was signed as "closed" on arrival, but there was plenty of room for car and caravan to get through, so that we did. The view just got better the closer we got. BH quickly had the cache in hand at GZ, we signed and decided to make our lunch here and enjoy this beaut spot. Not sure why the road was closed, but we went no further than the viewing platform. Thanks to reverb for another of your caches and this delightful view.
What a surprise we had as we turned the corner, this huge lake. Geo caching has taken me to lots of new areas. After taking lots of photos of the lake etc, then thought why was I here. To find a cache , which I did. Thanks

Following an overnight stop in Ouyen we headed down the Calder toward Castlemaine, on yet another glorious autumn day. We found the cache very quickly and added our name to the log. Then we spent a considerable amount of time learning about Lake Tyrell and enjoying the panorama.

Travelling home from Mildura, BettyBoo3747 and I grabbed a few on the road. When we had only reached Ouyen for lunchtime, we figured we should probably do a few less caches and a bit more driving.
Spectacular view of the lake today! Mostly dry with a pinkish tinge.
Interesting map and information on the sign.
Well worth the drive off the main drag.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 5547. Robmc and I have had a very successful caching holiday and we are making our way back to Melbourne today and picking up a few caches along the way.
Used to travel the Calder more frequently once upon a time and have never been in here to the lake. We were very impressed with the sight of whiteness as we drove down the road. An amazing sight and a lot of interesting information on the board. So much salt removed every year. Found the cache and added our names. It seemed we were the second visitors today. The TB from 2 years ago needs to be marked as Missing.
Thanks reverb

Found with wils0382. We were going to move the travel big but there wasn't one in there. Hope it's found its home
Found with scag0002 when we had a quick stop for a break on trip from Melbourne back home to the Riverland. No travel bug in sight.
Today was the first day of my holiday, heading towards Port Macquarie via Broken Hill, with my first night at Ouyen. I picked just a few caches to break up the journey to stretch my legs. There was plenty of water in the lake at the moment. Found the cache without any trouble.

We stopped off here on our way to the riverland. What a surprising structure to have out in this area.
The lake was looking lovely in pink, but the weather was unkind.
