It looks like its time to find another location as more families move into the area, increasing the muggle count.

21-Jul-12
Found the Cache container on the steppes leading up to the area container empty and lid split needs replacing put it back where I think is a good hiding spot ( search the Italian Cypress Tree ) Thanks

Day #10 of Dry July.
After failing here before I nearly did again until I paf for some guidance. I have know idea why/how I missed this previously or indeed tonight - as they say the simple hides are often the most confounding.
There is currently no trace of the aforementioned cache guardians, maybe because it is winter??
Thanks Riblit!!

After my previous DNF, I wasn't planning on doing this one today, but after Tiny Planes, I needed to turn left only, so had to come right past the turn off. I'm glad I did. I drove up and parked, and then walked to GZ. There was one muggle kid and one muggle adult close by, and as I started checking, I placed my hand right on the cache first time. BAM, just like that. WHEW, that's more like it Big Grin I SL, and stealthfully replaced it. Thanx for keeping the history alive Riblit, TFTC.

It was good to see this area as I had never been here yet. The GZ was quite obvious but a good search was needed to find this cache in a very nice hide. TFTC.

Found this on my second attempt during my lunch break. Great spot. TFTC. CobTod

Quick one. Interesting how multiple DNFs put one off the hunt even when a cache is actually there! Very Happy TFTC

OMG - Where do I start?
I have DNF'd this twice and after a chance meeting with a previous finder today I told them I could not locate it. They advised me where it should be and I returned with high hopes of a quick find - this was not to be the case.
The kids wanted to utilise the play equipment a bit further over so they played while I searched. The bees were not a problem today and I searched here and searched there and then searched a bit further in but found nothing. I PAF the finder I was talking to today to check I was looking in the right place, yep keep looking!
I was searching for a while longer and then called the kids over to help, Geodaughter suggested I take a look there - I took a look and ........... No Freaking Way there it is!
I banged my head against the tree while Geokids did the signing honours and then I returned it to its very simple yet very effective hiding spot!
A security car did a drive-by but they didn't seem too worried about us looking very intimately at this grand old tree!
So glad to finally have found this 1

I, for once in 4 visits, had unrestricted access to GZ. Walked straight up and had quick luck.
Great outlook from up here.

29-Apr-12
Looked for this one for a while with geokids, but had no luck will deffinatley try again.

27-Apr-12
Called in here again after completing a couple nearby and looked at the same things I did last time and a few others had the same result as last time DNF

This is starting to form a pattern Sad

I attempted this one in December and forced back by bees. Late this afternoon I found the cache without a bee in site. Maybe they were sheltering as it was late in the day or cool. Or they may have moved onto more pollen filled pastures. This is a nice park and a great tree centred in a residential growth area, thanks.

06-Feb-12
Great area to place a cache pity that the cache guardians were out in force and due to the fact I didn't have a epi-pen I declined the challenge. Wont be back to this one until they're gone or a new GZ is established, which ever comes first. Having said that I am glad I took the time to visit.

07-Jan-12
not found today will be back after reading logs.

31-Dec-11
No stings, thanks

27-Dec-11
Have to concur with the last cacher – the bees have taken up residence. After circling GZ from a safe distance being stung wasn’t worth a smiley. I still remember 2 nasty stings while doing a cache at Gunning.

*****PLEASE DON’T LET YOUR KIDS RUN TOWARDS GZ*****

14-Dec-11
I turned up at GZ to find a swarm of bees now call this tree home. They politely asked me to leave and after the second sting i agreed with them. Shant be back till the locals move on.

14-Dec-11
Swarm of Bees now at GZ. Not recommended without bee suit, smoke machine and epi pen in back pocket.

Found this one today with pjmpjm.
We took longer really than we should have, but the heat, humidity and old age took their toll, anyway that's my excuse.
Take great care not to annoy the cache guardians or you could be sorry, the little cache was found in the end and while pjmpjm did a strip tease act in the middle of the park I pretended that I had nothing to do with the madman next to me!
Thanks for the history lesson, such a shame so much of our history is disappearing without a trace.

Things sure have changed around here since my last visit! A whole new suburb seems to be under construction . . .

rogerw3 and I visited Doonside Road while on a Leap Frog expedition and almost made this little geocache adventure much, much more difficult than it needed to be. However, we discovered the 'new road' (opposite Douglas Road) into the burgeoning housing complex, and eventually reached GZ by walking only a couple of dozen metres.

But the 'cache guardians' were a surprise! Gee, they sure didn't look the usual local pack of barking dogs . . .

Anyhow, after a bit of minor mystification, we found the geocache quite easily, far enough away from the 'guardians' to avoid trouble, and all was in good order with the container and log. TNLNSL.

While leaving, I suddenly felt one of the 'guardians' nestling under my arm pit, so had to remove my shirt to make sure he was able to return safely to GZ. (I'm sure he's back there right now, waiting for the next finder.)

Thanks to Riblit for an interesting history lesson. And the history of this particular place is disappearing fast -- very fast.

Had the area to ourselves on a Sunday afternoon just as the rain was starting. GZ was obvious, but I had some help with the actual retrieval Smile.

Thanks Riblet

As I approached this cache, a large water tanker came down the road and sprayed water over the road verge, the front gardens, and in some cases the front walls and doors of the display homes. How much water?, very little really, it would have all evaporated in about an hour!

Oh, the cache was a simple find, how unRiblit like! and I watched the hive of activity nearby. Thanks Riblit.

The guardians were beeing busy while I had a quick search. SL #149

out with debanco for this quick find as the guardians posed no problem today. SL TFTH

Found today with Wombatjo. Not many guardians here today TFTH

By the time I arrived here I was puffing from the slight uphill ride. Parking the bike and walking over to GZ seemed to set off an alarm of some kind, and the guardians suceeded in making me feel very unwanted. After my third attempt Baktrak and Greyscreek saw that I'd given up and wasn't going to provide them, or the guardians, with any more entertainment. I stayed away but they brought the cache over so I could sign the log anyway. Memorable, for all the wrong reasons!

22-Oct-11
After a tiring ride with Baktrak, SJamp and Mrs.B we were greeted by lots of guardians. Pick the right side and all should be ok however, they did take a dislike to SJamp! Easy find.

22-Oct-11
On a Western Sydney Parklands cycling cache hunt with Mrs B, sjamp and Greyscreek. Greyscreek and I arrived first and after making peace with the guardians, Greyscreek spooted the hide from an elevated posited. SL and returned. Sjamp soon arrived but just couldn't negotiate an accord with the guardians and amused us by trying to outrun them. TFTC

Nice place to visit at the moment but once these houses are built and there are more locals it will be busy, I wonder how many will learn the history of this place? Nice hide had to have two looks for it, I know why I missed it last time. TFTC no sign of the cache keepers today

Did this cache on a early Sunday, when most of us would normally be in bed. Approaching GZ I noticed the guardians and went around the other side to avoid them. and soon had the cache in hand. I loved the hidy spot and the trees in this area as a reminder of the history. TFTC Riblit

Found with Teamboooo, Booo Booo and Glenwarra69

Looked promising had the cache guardians found easly and then the trouble started we looked here we looke there... we looked here again. We read logs and re-read discritption and finally reverted to a PAF. Geo-wife soon after had CIH and we did the honours of signing the log for everyone.

It's fantastic to see that despite progress and the area being "developed" these two majestic trees have been preserved.Big Grin

The cache guardians were out in force however, they were not a problem.

Cache is in good order.

This one probably won't cause the headaches that that other Tammy Racket cache caused, but it still had us scratching our noggins for a few minutes while we pondered the cache guardians. Thanks

26-Sep-11
The cache guardians certainly were in a frenzy today, probably from all the rain of the past few days. So with sun trying to shine this was our first for a relatively short day of caching. After the comments of previous finders about the distances we weren't sure if we were barking up ..... I had just used a paf when my other half turned it up. Life's like that!

26-Sep-11
I decided I was gonna keep well away from the location while Mum and Dad braved the cache guardians. TFTC [^]
P.S. I have been attacked by these before...........

25-Sep-11
Picked up in the rain with DeputyD0g. Found the guardians, be warned if you or your other hunters have bee allergies!! Nicely hidden away. TFTC SL

Needed a cache today. This was my closest to home. Managed to score the last of the cheap petrol on the way here. Talk about rentacop central at night here, including one very loud angry dog.

Easy find. Found the guardians.

22-Sep-11
The cache guardians were out in force and took us to the GZ. Unfortunately we could not spot it!

I took the opportunity to ring 92nty6 about a caching trip onthe horixon and with his clues we had it in hand soon.

I didn't expect an empty log for this cache when I approached GZ, I did get to meet 4dxplor.
Extremely happy to gain a Riblit FTF to the list and to top it off it was a combined effort.
Great to meet you 4dxplor, and thanks for the great cache Riblit.
