I had DNFd this cache years ago and have had it on a watch list as one that I wanted to find when I next had the chance to be near it.
So sad to see it now archived especially as it was at a very interesting, historical spot Sad

27-Mar-16
The cache container lid is in pieces, I was going to replace the container but I only have small ones in the car (coles has the containers half price atm, so had stocked up on the small 200ml ones)

This was meant to me a maintenance log but I wasnt paying attention and wrote another found one, and now it wont let me adjust it. so a note will have to do.

Found at 3:33 PM GAFF1. A great adventure working out the tracks that take you to this location. I saw the poles in the ground and didn't realise it was the old jetty as it was metres away from the water. Saw remnants of the building including an old fire place.
Now to see if there is a quick way out of here!
Thanks doheng.

oh, didn't see the many DNFs before, so i suppose i shouldn't just log it as found...

it didn't take me long to find it, it was just on the ground, not much camo.

looking at the date of the last DNF log, i guess that it was missing and has been replaced meanwhile, just no one disabled and enabled it.

27-May-14
Hi to all. The cache has been in place the hole time.

12-Oct-13
Couldn't find. Found a piece polly pipe with an end melted and burn marks. Looked very out of place. Was this it? Perhaps it was muggled?

03-Aug-13

I had the pleasure of the company of CPwanderer and DennisC52 for a caching trip to Mildura.
We saw lots of rain on our first day but then dry sunshine for the last two days.
We locus cache'd a few caches (121 finds and 13 DNFs) and all in all had a great time, especially on some of the state forest dirt roads! WinkCool
Yes, there were police involved (twice) Surprised but luckily no fines! Cool

We came, we spent well over an hour here looking, we PAF and we still did not get a smiley Sad
We did get spiked, fly bothered, hot and hungry (it had been a long time since breakfast) while looking and all we found were the bottles, glasses and no cache Sad
We searched up to 30m or more from GZ but it seems there has been some clearing done here so maybe it isn't here.. or maybe we just DNFd it.

TFTC doheng Smile

A cold morning but another fine day in Mildura - perfect for our caching activities as we did not need rain today with the majority of our travelling being on dirt tracks. We happily meandered around the river edge with tracks going in several directions. Lovely old trees and bird life while the river looked plentiful. An enjoyable day of caching with many different style of hides to keep us challenged and entertained.
Thanks to doheng.

Almost left but luckily persevered. Took the wrong winding road for the drag race road before ending up here. It was hellish. TFTC Doheng.

22-Apr-12
Found it with geodog but wore the wrong socks and got nasty prickles down my shoes. No pencil to write in log when i got there. Only a few items so took none.

3769th total find at around 14:57

Being a Grey Nomad is fun. We've been on the road since January.
We've attended the Mega Event in Albury and now we're heading to a couple of events in South Australia.
Currently we are ensconced in a caravan park in Mildura and enjoying attempting some caches here.

Thanks doheng for the cache

09-Apr-12
Found it.

27-Mar-12
We went to look at this one yesterday but there were people shooting nearby at the ducks so decided we would come back. We picked up a trackable that was not logged into the cache. SL TFTC

Wow, Australia has some nasty plants waiting to shread the flesh of those unsuspecting tourists wearing short pants. Made our way carefully to GZ and commenced the search. Found the cache easily then realized I had left the pen in my car. Knowing that the walk back to the car for the pen would result in significant blood loss, I improvised by using some mud on my thumb to mark the log. Hope that counts for a find. Nice area here that I would not have seen were it not for geocaching! TFTC

12-Feb-12

Found on our Anniversary tour around Mildura.
Another nice area to explore and a good hide too.
With all the water nearby we thought it may be missing, but it was still safely in its nice hiding place.
Took a TB that has been here for a long time LNSL TFTC doheng,
Roostaman.

Found with Roostaman on the 4th day of our Hay Hell & beyond trip.

Getting too dark by the time we got close and didn't want to fight weeds and creepie crawlies in dark. We will be back

23-Oct-10
Found while out crusing with Geokids, have been in this area before but haven't seen this particular lake etc. Would love to see a pic of what it all looked like back when it was all usable. Left travel bug and some swaps.

21-Aug-10
A great place to visit. Loved the history. Had an extended hunting party with GeoMark's parents, brother and his family tagging along. GeoNiece and geoNephew got their first experience of treasure hunting and loved it. Took socks and something else and left some items. TFTCSL.

19-Jul-10
Nice cache location, it would be recomended to do this in daylight hours and with a fully charged car battery........Suffering from the"just one more cahce tonight" syndrome we thought we would do this by the headlights of the car. After a lucky night time find and signing the log book we returned to the car to head for home satisfied of our accomplishments for the evening. Well have you ever heard that sickening sound a car makes when it has a flat battery.. wooo wooo woo i don't won't to start kinda sound.

Obviously we made it home because we logged this find. Albeit four days later.

19-Jun-10
What a great little spot!!!
TNLN as always a great hide

Just how things change with time. We hung around for a while just taking in the scenery. It must have been a great place to spend a day in years gone by. Took the TB to go to the Wagga Mega Event. TFTC

5.30pm
Found by Roma and Max.
Back in the area on a family visit we took the opportunity to search for your well hidden container.
Good co-ordinates resulted in a reasonably quick find.
We left our mark in the log but made no exchange.
Thank you doheng for bringing us here, although we are sure the local council pool would be more popular nowadays!
Romax.
