Called in here on our way home from the Miranda hot pools. Had a quick look in the dark but came up empty like previous searchers.
No luck for us today looked as best we could without getting too deep in the grass and too close to the electric fence!
Leaving Rotorua in the early morning made us do few stops on the way back to Auckland. We didn't manage to find this - and we didn't have enough time to spend.
Yebo TheWonderStuff
On our way to rotorua we stopped here and there for either to stretch our legs or to look for a cache.
Found well

I grabbed thy a one while taking a break on a drive from Auckland to Hobbiton with Mrs. Llama and friends. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Utah, USA and South Korea. 캐시 설치해주셔서 감사합니다.
Pouring with rain glad it didn't take to long to find. Sat in car and work out the possibilities. 2nd one was correct. Good spot on a nice day. Lol tftc
Couldn't find it Friday night but found on the way home today. Not to sure what support the hint gives to help find the cache. Pleased to get it.
Lots of muggles on a drizzly morning. Grabbed it and took it to the car for signing. Unfortunately someone pulled up in a van, backed up to GZ and proceeded to unpack for a cuppa. It took a bit of a distracting conversation and some sneaky stuff to return cache to its spot. TFTC
Stopped on my way to auckland yesterday, but there were too many muggles around to chance it, so continued on my journey. Today on my way back home i stopped again and a few muggles but they did not pay attention to me and where over the other side looking out.
Found on the way home from the smelly town. Watched a motor cycle club give a tourist feedback on his driving in NZ.
Found while on the way to participate in the Tarawera Ultra Marathon. It hadn't stopped raining since we got here, and now was no exception. It was raining as I made the quick find and jumped back in the car while signing. No view for us today. Thanks for the cache and cheers from Browngang
One more work cache to the list.
Traveling to tauranga and stopped here to check the load so I thought I better get this one.
Stopped here a few times with the others at work but never had the chance to look.

I passed by here six days ago and wanted to pick up the cache, but there was a horde of tourists so I kept on going. Today on a trip back from Auckland I called in and had a look around. When I looked for the hint, there was no obvious possibility. Then I realized that the railing had been removed and a new fence was up on the perimeter of the rest area. I wandered over to the old railing which was lying down on the ground - probably due to be removed shortly and retrieved the cache. Once I had signed the log, I placed it somewhere else before it is taken away. I will message the C/O and tell him/her the new co-ords and hint. TFTC
Nice place to stop on stretch my legs ! Slight diversion on my Auck to Waihi holiday...
Lots of muggles here from a shuttle...on way to Hobbiton .
Even a pop up coffee cart was here ! But I had my trusty thermos...thanks TWS

Busy spot today but able to get away from the crowds and admire the view here for a quick find before starting to head back towards home. TFTC
Great view. Stopped on our way back from Duder Park. Quick find. Lots of slips along the way. TFTC
Hubby and I set off for a 3 day trip in our motorhome. We headed for a place called Wharekawa on the Firth of Thames to stay a couple of nights. We were a bit concern as there had been lots of flooding and slips but we were lucky. I had sorted 19 geocaches to find on our journey. 10 on the way up, 3 while we were there and 6 on the way home. I have another 19 smiley faces. Picnic area. Good, easy park. Hubby had to sidetrack the coffee barista while I made the discovery. Thanks for the hint as this made a quick find and we were soon on our way.TFTC.
Picked up entire rubbish bag from over the fence. This is a goddamn disgrace. Come on Waikato, sort your 5h!+ out

A late night weekend caching trip. There was no muggles around as it was really late/early morning.
Found it easily. TFTC

A nice little cache with a great view. It would have been a good place for a picnic, but we weren't hungry yet. TFTC!
What a great view from up here.

We weren't going to stop here because it was not on the right side of the road for the direction we were travelling but we ended up behind a line of traffic moving very slowly so it seemed like a good opportunity to make a slow speed turn in to the rest area. Pulled up to find eight other cars with the same idea - very crowded! Fortunately, all were gathered away from GZ which I had to myself once I waited for one car to leave. I note that we actually gave Albert the Geohound a stretch of the legs just two weeks before we started geocaching right here. Probably stood right next to the cache while Albert did his doggy version of geocaching (you do not want his swag items). Very quick find and on our way again - perfect - traffic train magically dissipated and straight run through to home base. Thanks for the placement.
Found while on drive heading south east. A nice and easy cache and dash, but now I think it's time K head for my campsite. TFTC TNLN SL
Unbelievable! On our way to Auckland to fly to Christchurch we stopped here, there was one other car. Within minutes there were three more cars AND two minibuses full of Asian tourists!! It was like Piccadilly Circus!! (Sorry, UK phrase after the busiest place in London). Managed to grab the cache whilst they were busy taking selfies. TFTC
Stopped off for a break on our way to Auckland airport to continue our holiday on the South Island TFTC
Thanks for the hide! I drive past at leat twice a month and have always loved the view. This time there were very few tourists so could geocache in peace
Such a beautiful view, so restful, apart from all the cars though. Time for a spot of lunch.

Cool lookout. Took a panoramic shot and ended up with a half car since it was moving at the time! Decided to stop and have some lunch. So taking a break indeed. While we were eating a young couple with a 5 day old lamb stopped their hummer to give the lamb a feed - not every day you come across something like that at a rest stop! THe cache was an easy find - more difficult trying to look inconspicuous in retrieving and replacing! Thanks for bringing us here TheWonderStuff!
Time to head back down the line after my week in Whangarei. Was originally planning to stay in Hamilton, but didn't realise the All Blacks were playing there tonight, so then looked at Taupo, but all accommodation is booked out there too, so Rotorua ended up being my target for the day, caching on the way. Another quick break here. TFTC
So Railwalker and I (Walk-Away-Renee) finally did it! We finally created a joint account! It takes having a kid to make this happen. Now we are finally merging our stats. So, using GSAK we are logging this cache and it should be dated by the oldest time found by either one of our accounts (so look for a post created by either RailWalker or Walk-Away-Renee). We greatly appreciate your hard work for making that cache possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us.
Once again thank you for your time and energy put into this cache/event. The hobby of Geocaching would not be possible without the likes of you to support the community!

Our third find in New Zealand today this is pretty awesome thank you for the cache. Love the view. To save log space signed as HistoryMajors2007.
Hello, this is a temporary boring log. I plan to edit and go into more detail once I am back in the USA. Found with Railwalker and signed the cache with our team name, HistoryMajors2007. Cheers and thank you for the cache.
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Found a boatload of tourists. Thanks for placing the cache.
Nice views and worth the stop. A cat disappeared off as I arrived so no doubt there is a small colony of feral cats at this one, it's either chickens or cats at such places. but I have seen both at one such spot.
Many thanks to team TWS for cruising the area, placing caches as they go.

Lots of tourists at this rest area. Nice view. We waited for the right moment nice easy find. TFTC.
Dropping the children off for a holiday with their granparents, grabbing the Highway 27 caches along the way. Very popular place, however no one seemed to see me wander to GZ they were all too busy with their picture taking of the view. Driven past here many many times, but never stopped to see the view. TFTC
Good place to stop and enjoy the view. We were on a road trip down to Lake Taupo.

Stopped here on my road trip. Love the view. No trackable in the cache. Quiet around here today. TFTC
When I drove in for this one I thought it may be a bit difficult because of muggles. But I read the description and approached as suggested and soon had the log signed with no trouble and no one noticing what I was up too TFTC
#11746. A good place for a cache, with lots of parking and great views. TFTC.
Stopped here for lunch. Looks like I'm the second person to sign the log today. TFTC
Today we leave Auckland and are headed to Mt Maunganui, not via SH2 on which we have travelled a few times in the last couple of weeks, but via the scenic route: Matamata and the Kaimai Ranges. Not a lot of caching opportunities along the way, but we were grateful for the caches we did find to break up the journey.
There was a truck already stopped here, then when we started walking to GZ, a 4WD stopped then backed into the rest area, stopping right by where we suspected the cache was hidden and a couple of women emerged to take photos. We waited and admired the view. Thought they would never leave! After the coast was clear, the cache was quickly retrieved, log book signed and replaced, as this is a popular stopping area. TFTC.
