We had planned to take Geodog Penny on a caching trip to Wedderburn to get all those that we did not yet have. She has been missing out lately and has been unable to attend our caching days we have had, so today is her day out.
Heading out to do the Addams Family Series, that we have heard so much about and now we are finally doing it. We thought of walking but decided to drive up the track to locate this one. Geodog Penny had a spell in the ute while we both got out and found it. Another good hide in the wonderful area.

TFTC. We decided to stay another day in Wedderburn to explore to the north around the Granite Hills and Korong Vale. Using caching as a guide.
We used to watch the Addams family in our youth, and then watched the repeats as the children grew up. A great series. We were not impressed with the Addams family movie. It was just not the same.
Thanks for reminding us and bringing us out this way.

On our hunt to find all the caches, in this series, after attending the event in today, we all laughed when we spotted the sign pointing to the cache. dalerious was the first to spot it, and he with Muggle Hubby, found the cache, whilst I was still busy taking photos. Loving the series, thanks fellows, your caches always put a smile on our faces
Out today on a country road trip to fill in some LGA's and explore the countryside.
Sun came and and it really heated up - great to explore some new spots!
No snakes spotted today. I was walking around talking as loud as I could to myself to deter them.
Another nice bush pick up

Loving this show as a child , these caches were a must do for us this weekend. So we set off with TR! and honeysucker for the Addams Family series in The Granites Nature Reserve after a bite to eat in town , picking up a few in and around the area as we went. As we wound our way up the hill we made the last find in this series with people calling out from another outcrop of rocks over yonder, to us.
Thanks to the old blokes for the series and showing us this amazing area with its impressive granite rocks.

This series looked like a bit of fun, seeing we both loved the TV Series and Movies. So this was a definate for today.
Teamed up with TheTritonz today, and we had a lot of fun. There was laughter, fun and snorting to boot.

Travelling around Australia with our Cat.
Staying a few days in St Arnaud, today we decided to head back up towards Wedderburn and find some more caches.
Pretty cold today with a minus 2degrees start and only 0.4 at 9am. Didn't deter us though a great day out touring.
Hmm you Old Blokes, don't seem to be as OLD as your implying [?] Or are we getting older and hadn't noticed [?] This was also one of our favourite shows.
Thanks for placing your cache to assist with our touring of the area, and feeding our geoaddiction. the old blokes

A weekend in Wedderburn caching with the Sisterhood of the Cargo Pants brought us to this cache. The Addams Family series done and dusted!! Loved it! TFTS the old blokes.

Last one in the series completed, just on dusk, lots of wallabies (I wasn't allowed to call them kangaroos) bounding around, I just had to whistle the Skippy tune! TFTC
After an unsuccessful day gold detecting we decided to try geocaching - with more success! TFTC
Number six find for the series this afternoon. We disturbed quite a few kangaroos here and my learner driver was concerned she would hit them. Pretty sure at the speed we were traveling that was never going to happen no trouble here for us though in finding the cache.
I have enjoyed the views from up here the area reminds me of Mount Beckworth near Clunes where I have a series of my own TFTC
We made this one a driveby and I made the find fairly quickly. Thanks the old blokes.

Another lovely part of the Granites Reserve. A quick walk and it wasn't long before the cache was in hand. Found with Wozzle68, while enjoying this fun Addams Family series.
A nice easy find today great spot for a cache. Signed and replaced. TFTC.
3rd find so far today while out with aussie fun seakers on a caching day out. TFTC.
Found while out caching with Fergzter while attending the Wedderburn events. While looking in all the hard to look places the cache was found in a more usual fashion. TFTC.
We came to Wedderburn for the 2 events and stayed a couple of nights to make the most of the weekend caching time.

Last find before we needed to rush back to Wedderburn for the Evening Meal 2014 event cache. It was staring to rain so me made this find in record time.

Now I know The Old Bloke are known far and wide for their creative caches, so I need to ask you, how long did you take to carve the elephant?
It is amazing the natural sculptures that nature throws up at you.
A quick grab, TFTC

We headed off yesterday with a plan to head TOWARDS Horsham, but as our trips are generally slow (based on how many smilies we collect on the way) we made it to Charlton after dark, so this was our stop for the night.
Charlton cleaned up, the question of where to head next? Having attended the Wedderburn event earlier in the year, we knew there were some out of town caches we hadn't attempted, so decision that would would do the Mash & Addams family series.
Missed the elephant, found the cache. TFTC SL

Bogonghazy took the direct but tough track from Morticia to here, but the GeoPrado never missed a beat, and we soon had the cache in hand. Thanks to the old blokes yet again.
After winding our way expertly from Morticia with SUlly's smooth driving skills, we made a quick find here and continued anti-clockwise to the rest of the series. Thanks again TOB
After realising that I couldn't solve Uncle Fester quickly and leaving him for another day, Pugsley was next on the list. Parked on the road and walked up the hill. I followed the elephant to where he pointed me and found the cache! Thanks to the old blokes for this one - have to come back to finish the series now!
Well this one nearly had us I think we were nearly cache blind here but we now have it in hand.

So started a weekend away that took in just over 100 caches, including 4 First to Finds, about 1000 days towards the Unloved Cache Challenge (GC3KWWQ) and some really fun adventures both solo and with new and old friends, topped off with a great well attended event cache at Wedderburn.. (with yummy food too) Thanks to all the various cache owners along the way and my apologies upfront for the copy / paste style logging of those 100 odd caches.. Some of the Caches hadn't been found for between 6months and 18months which added greatly to my 15years required for GC3KWWQ.. Thanks..
Many of the caches were a blur and thus there isn't too much I can add from a single cache log point of view, my apologies to the cache owners who each have put a lot of effort into their respective hides..
Thanks old blokes, wonderful series..

We spotted the elephant as soon as we arrived,so we parked on the road and walked to the cache. Looked at the views and then headed up to the Telstra tower. Thanks to the old blokes.
Thank you again to 'the old blokes' for yet another well thought out cache and hide. The views thereabouts of GZ of the granites (they are some big rocks) and across the landscape are excellent! A brisk but short walk for this one after completing a nearby cache saw a relatively quicker find but a no less enjoyable experience. In the company of 'The Comrades'. TNLN.
Yet another ingenious location by the 'old blokes' very impressed with all the 'Addams Family'caches.
The day continued to improve and the coordinates were spot on for me for a thankfully quick find.
8th find of the day, and 2750th total find at 13:04.
Another great day of caching the area with the Morris and RobMc
We watched the Adams Family when we were younger, and tried to find a similarity between the character and the hide.
Pugsly was a fat kid, is the fat rock a similarity?
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing

Nice elephant head! It was pointed out to me before we left the car (looked better from the distance).
A short walk and a quick find.
We noticed that some baby wagon-wheel cacti are starting to grow near the road.

This was found by The Grasshopper. We loved the area and appreciate that The Old Blokes are taking us to new areas. We did no swaps. TFTC.
Found after a short walk. Nice area. Wasn't sure if dogs are allowed, so they stayed in the car.
Lots of interesting cacti around.

A great drive around the park and a good hide. I enjoyed looking at the cactii along the track. SL TFTC
Last one for us, for today. Only our second day out doing this, so we've done OK. Should have taken my camera to this one, as there is another elephant, a tiny one like Mr Shuffles, made of rock, that can also be seen close by. Chache-Hounds couldn't get out of car, not allowed, but kept a close eye on proceedings. Thanks to The Old Blokes.
Passed the GPS over to a none cacher to work out this one. He is a local and told me where he thought the cache was from the map. He was only about 100 meters out, not bad for a non cacher. TFTC.
A pity that I didn't have the pic available to me in the field as I missed the elephant until I am logging this one now.

We were up this way and decided to check out a few caches on the way home, and it turned out to be a very successful afternoon.
Great spot here today - all quiet. We spotted a striped reptile tail in amongst the rocks, then ran away before we found out what was at the other end!

Enjoyed drive the car along to cache, beauty outback and view as well. SL. Thanks The Old Blokes for organising the cache and hunt.
After doing the nearby Sons of Telstra #1 we set about making this one a lot harder than it had to be. After about 20 minutes of searching we re read the cache page and used the description and managed to mess that up as well as we saw a different creature that could possibly be a bit of an elephant with a bit of imagination. After about another 15 minutes of searching we decided on a DNF a and headed back to the car. We just happened to glance down and spotted the container in plain view only 5 meters from where we had been searching all that time. Not only where we happy to have the cache in hand we also saw the real elephant
Thanks the old blokes for the cache

You're right about it being almost a drive by, however I decided to park a little further away as I was headed further up the hill. No problems spotting this one but it was difficult finding enough stuff to cover it up with, More great views from here too.
Thanks,
