The hint definitely didnt help, but we found it! Theres been some damage near where it was.
No problem finding this today, and although the hint wasn't quite correct the coordinates were.
Out for a lovely Mother's Day drive, and blast from the past as I used to ride my bike over here, and learnt to drive on these roads. Nice quick find. TFTC and Happy Mothers Day everyone!
Trouve ! / Found it ! Merci j&by pour la cache I didn't find anything here either. I took the liberty of putting a new box back here. The owner being inactive for several years and the previous find having reported a broken box, I think I did not do wrong.4426th cache found.Thank you j&by for the cache
Found it! Tftc. World Geocaching Day. New world record hopefully.
Note: cache tub is damaged and no longer water tight.

This was a quick detour after finding the Wallaceville graveyard cache. No one around, fortunately, and it was a quick find. TFTC j&by!
An enjoyable afternoon romp with D. Carried on for a trad after the nearby boneyard multi. Gun Club was busy in the background. Quick find. Lid is broken but log still OK. Thanks j&by!
TwigNZ is desperate to get just a few more caches before the mega, and I am always keen to help, so we headed up Whitemans Valley.
Took a long time to find this, not where we would think the hint meant us to look. Alas the container seems to have been attacked by a weed wacker and large parts of the container are missing. Insects have moved in.

Tomorrow after work I will start my journey north to attend the Auckland MEGA, which will be my 5,000th cache if I can engineer my caching before Saturday to make it so. Knowing that the weather forecast for tomorrow is less than favourable, I really wanted to find some caches tonight to release some of the pressure, so the Seagnoid and I headed out to Whitemans Valley to see what we could find.
The light was starting to fail as we got to this cache, which would be our last for this evening. I was hoping for a quick park n grab, but it wasn't to be. We both searched systematically for about 15 minutes, before I finally made the find. I suspect the cache hide is not as originally placed, as it no longer fits the Hint. If you want to find it, you need to think "Skindo Style"
The container has a damaged lid which has allowed squatters to move in. However, the log itself is still in good shape and now has both our names on it.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Was a challenge to find with lots of muggles around but found with SebbyBoy. Tftf
Awesome hiding place. Well hidden. Container needs replacing. Sent a pic to you. TFTC.
An evening stroll took us to this one. Were concerned that some gardening in the area may have disturbed it but it was soon found without trouble. TFTC
The casing is cracked and is no longer water tight. A new container might be required.
I scored some cheap flights to Wellington for the weekend! I had a great time exploring and finding caches!! TFTC!
Didn’t find, had a good look, but areas has been recently mowed and trimmer so may have been moved?
Down for the MEGA in Upper Hutt, Wellington, with NZTravellers, caching around the area.
Logs individually signed as "stik-a-crane" or "SAC" if space/time was short .
Time for the official photo celebrating the MEGA..
..thought the events were well managed considering a good sized turn out to the MEGA.
Thanks to all the CO"s for maintaining their caches ready for the onslaught...…

Had an awesome time in and around Wellington for my very first Mega. 5 days of caching and today = day #4
After Prizegiving it was time to cache some more so Gadget169, Natalie247 and I headed off into the night. A nice quick find here and was singing Billy Idol in my head hehe TFTC

Day 4 of the Wellington Mega. By the end of this day we had done over 20000 steps the most walking the whole time we are here. So after the prize giving KJR and Natalie247 and I went off into the night to find and couple of challenge caches and some other. This was a quick park and and in to the next one. TFTC
Day two of our MEGA wellington adventure! The weekend was great and the Wellington caching community did a fantastic job of hosting the event and maintaining some great caches and the weather was perfect for caching! We started in Johnsonville and ended the day in Upper Hutt and the back and beyond caching to all hours of the night.
Thought we might have some trouble with this one int he dark but the boys persevered and they found it. TFTC!

Second DNF today, thought we found the obvious GZ but obviously not. Reading previous logs, I was going to add dry logsheet in the event we found the cache. Oh well, onto the next Challenge cache I'd targeted for the area.
Too wet to do anything with, the CO will need to add a new logbook. Hid a little better than found, much cover has been removed at G Z.
With my current visit to the area winding down into the last few evenings, and still having a car at my disposal, I decided to take advantage of the (unusually) ambient weather to head out and grab a few caches. I did a loop from the back of Upper Hutt along Whitemans Valley and back into Silverstream via Blue Mountain Road. A dirty dozen finds for the evening but quite a lot of DNFs too which I see is the norm with some of those caches on that route. All in all a good side trip and just the thing to log them over a cold beer.
T F T C to all the COs for their placements.

Nice quick find here as we venture around this area and the hutt.

My last cache in this valley for the day. Parked in a convenient spot just across the road, had a peek where the GPS lead me and I saw the cache kind of sitting out in the "open". It was under the general cover of the surrounds but not hidden per se. Took a bit of a guess at where it should be upon return. TFTC.
First wet foot of the day gained stretching into the bushes... An easy find. TFTC!
Found during a car based cache mission due to the cruddy weather.
Needed some Indiana Jones skills to get into GZ - could just see the cache but couldn't reach it very easily.

#2256. I headed up to Whiteman's Valley today to pick up the final of a challenge cache. Stopped to do a few other caches on the way. I as drove past here heading to the challenge final, there were workman fixing up powerlines near the cache. By the time I drove back later they had shifted down the road to the next poles and so were far enough away to do this cache without giving the show away. Took some photos of the nice white church then peered through the foliage and saw where the cache was hidden. It was a bit prickly getting to it but got there in the end. Signed the logbook and covered up the cache. Thanks for showing me this place.
I spotted this cache lurking amongst the bush straight away, but I could only just reach it. Log signed and cache returned (with some difficulty) in between passing muggle cars. Such a busy road. As the cache was rather visible I covered it a bit (with a bit of the roading material I think). Thanks for placing a cache by this lovely little church.
Find # 2523. A third day of cycle caching from Petone to Maymorn and back using the Masterton train to get to Maymorn. Cycled back via Whiteman's Valley and the Hutt River Trail - 50km of cycling. Only a 100m rise in elevation from Maymorn to the top of Blue Mountains Road but a 200m descent to Silverstream - the train did all the work!
Quick find, nice spot, pretty busy on the road. SL TFTC

Found it with Team FIN [janahola, kapeka, laalaa & temyllyl]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in New Zealand. Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was pretty good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and really scenary country!
Greetings from Finland

On a geoholiday road tripping to Christchurch MEGA and around beautiful New Zealand. Our four people group (temyllyl, laalaa, kapeka and myself) from Finland used group tag FIN to log the caches.
Welcome to MEGA Finland in 5-7 august 2016!
Today we drove from Wellington to Masterton. We saw many nice places and caches. Thanks for the cache!

13th day on our geo-roadtrip in New Zealand, and caching our way towards north. Logged using our group nickname FIN with janahola, laalaa and kapeka. After having a blast in South Island and in Christchurch Mega event, we had to start heading back home. Fortunately we still had few days left to spend in NZ while driving to Auckland.
Nice quick easy find while on a lunchtime cruise around the area. Friends of ours tied the knot here a decade ago so it was great to finally return. Picked up a TB and will help on its journey. SL TFTC
Spotted likely hide as i pulled up but a busy wee intersection, so had to wait a while before I could approach. Easy find once all clear. Tftc

Came to this church to remember my parents wedding...surprisingly discovered this was here! Left a tb in memory of my step dad.
A pretty country church. We pulled up right at the cache so just popped out, signed in the car and returned to it's well hidden location. TFTC!
A quick find on a cold Sunday afternoon with TregearP.
All in good order - but very prickly! TFTC.

#1835 Enjoying the afternoon sunshine with a wee trip to collect some caches. A lovely church in a peaceful spot and a well stocked and well hidden geocache to top it off. TFTC! Took the lolly out- icky, sticky mess.
Find No 6 for today out with BigcheeseNZ for this one, Lovely Sunday morning, glad Paula volunterred to get cache those prickles were lethal hahahha, TFTC
More driving lessons for my son. This is a prickly cache that's for sure, but dived right in and sustained only mild lacerations. Nice little country church, I can see how it would be popular for weddings with a reception in Wallace House.
Dogs barking over the road but the sound of lawnmower straining on a long lawn drowned that out. Quite a few cars for a back road, and the postie van. TFTC.

A nice quick find. GPS coordinates were spot on. Best take a friend to hold the prickly branches out of the way. TFTC
A quick find while driving through the area for a nearby challenge cache! A very prickly bush - ouch! TFTC!
