It was a very early start this morning leaving the north of Brisbane to a attend a 7am CITO at Tweed heads. The weather was cools and a bit overcast but it was lovely way to start the morning.I quickly found a place to park the car and made my way to ground zero in high expectation of the find. The target was quickly located, log extracted and a mark made to celebrate the find. The prize was quickly returned and on my way again.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.Cheers
So a plan was hatched with Peppa to visit the northern rivers area, grab some target caches and then finish off at a local night time event, sounds like a fun day.
We had a plan and that lasted all of four caches, just as a new cache was dropped in our laps. It turns out that today was the day for the launch of the Northern Rivers Rail Trail, starting in Murwillumbah and finishing in Crabbes Creek. There were some new adventure labs and a new bonus cache.
We changed tack and headed for the new adventure lab and bonus cache. We had an awesome day and a very nice finish to the night was the catch up dinner event.
So with the new plan, which basically is just the same plan in reverse, lol, we headed off to this one. There were 3 caches along this part of the road that we both did not have. A nice area and an easy find today. I singed the log, replaced all as found and then continued with the new plan. Thanks for the hide.

When Dad was in primary school, he used to attend a school camp every other year which used old decommissioned train carriages as accommodation.
Good to see that idea still going strong.
The last remaining red brick portion is in the wrong spot for this cache so we had to retreat to the car to check the gos before making the find.
Thanks for the cache!

It’s a strange day today… we dropped our dog at the Ekka this morning at 6:30… we can’t even watch… so to take our mind off the drama of the Ekka Dog Show, Blkthunder and I are caching through the Tweed Valley…
The day is almost over and we’re heading back to Brisbane…
Blkthunder made a really quick find here… tftc…

This afternoons drive was through Tomewin & Tumbulgun to find some geocaches and visit Waymarks. I think the cache has been underwater recently as it is quite muddy.

Lovely drive through the mountains into NSW. We’ve been on the road 10Mths and this will be the first time we have left QLD!!
Caching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan , BitternA4, and our geo pup. BitternA4 is a train nut so this is a real treat! A neat spot geocaching has brought us to!
Thanks for the fun, Aussie Liahona

Lid is open and it has now become an ant's nest. Log is partly eaten and the ants were frantically moving eggs. Left it as I found it
Seems a shame the cafe has closed however the rattlers are still sitting in the yard. LizBeth couldn’t see the cache and said the garden bed has been changed. So we replaced the cache for the CO

Found with Mrs BillHill, we are doing a little round trip around Northern NSW, visiting Grafton, Casino, Lismore, Murwillumbah and Ballina. Dropping in on Byron bay and some more along the way. Nice little hide, quick find.

I had one day to find the last 20 caches to reach 1999 before the end of the year. So today was the day. I found 7 by 1pm, wasn't looking good. Then the battery on my car died whilst I took a call. Duh!
But I managed to find them. Thanks to all the COs who hid these caches ariubd Murwillumbah and Uki. I had to stop when I found my 20 so I'll be back to find more caches soon.
It didn't look like this place is open anymore.

Came to check on this one today. Cache was in exactly the place given in the hint and still under its companion. Perhaps there is more than one red 1/2 brick???
Please be careful with garden plants. It’s on the edge so there’s no need to tread on the garden at all.

I remember those carriages. The shop doesn’t keep its advertised hours, but a quick happy find. TftC.

Made our mark & replaced as found.

After finding a milestone cache, stortigirls and I were headed back to Brisbane. Despite the late hour, we decided to take the scenic route home and find a few caches along the way. This cache was on our way, so, naturally, we stopped off to make a find here. The cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Selva Girls and I had travelled south for a big day of caching and a milestone, and were now caching our way home until we lost light. We made the easy find here at this cool little place and added our names to the log. Tftc Aussie Liahona
Found! This looks like a great cafe, closed when we arrived. Open 9-4 Wednesday to Sunday! Would come back just to check out the cafe. TFTC
Opening times have changed - missed the drink I needed as they now close at 4 - cache quickly found so last one for the day - TFTC

Disappointed to be visiting on a Monday, when the Red Rattlers is closed . Will need to make another trip around this gorgeous area soon, so will add it to the revisit list. Container and logbook were wet; we’ve tried to clean it up as best we can, but the logbook is quite damp...We’ve added a ziplock bag to hopefully prevent any further water damage. Took the ladybug for a strawberry stamp .
It was nice to see s SA. Cacher being the last finder. Am currently enjoying a holiday from SA with The X-Trailers. A shame we couldn't explore inside as closed. Did talk to a couple of bikies for a few minutes. TFTC

This cache was visited whilst participating n the Cycle Queensland 2017 Adventure Tour - Goondiwindi to Currumbin.
In Adelaide we used to have red hen trains, those were the days, open doors and windows and the driver would sometimes turn the lights off before entering tunnels. These rattles looked similar.
The cache had a bit of water in it and the log was damp but usable.
Cache 1 in an attempt at 3 caches in three states in one day (only managed 2 in 2).
Thanks for the cache Aussie Liahona.

Darn! Owner maintenance doesn't enable. I thought I had enabled this one but it only posted the maintenance.
All's good to go here. Just be cautious on the narrow road. Happy caching!

Such an interesting place to visit besides there being a cache here. It's great what someone with some ingenuity can do with old train carriages. I wish I had one of these.
Happy caching.............!!

Due to major flooding and damaged roads we have disabled this cache while the area recovers and repairs are carried out. Sorry about the inconvenience - happy caching! Aussie Liahona.
After our roadtrip thruogh New Zealand, we had a couple of days to spend in Australia at the Gold Coast. We had a very good time and we also did some geocaches. This was one of those geocaches.
Aussie Liahona hartelijk dank voor het leggen en onderhouden van deze cache.

On my way back to Canberra from Brisbane. Taking a scenic route off the main highways. A quick find, TFTC.
Called at this cache and all is o.k.
Had a lovely afternoon tea, hot chocolate and a warmed muffin. Yum.

A lovely surprise to find another hidden gem together with a bonus of having a nice hot cuppa with geo friends. Loved looking through the old carriages with lots of antiques, artefacts and quirky signs scattered here there and everywhere. Thanks Aussie Liahona for placing a cache in this beaut location and a favourite point awarded for the enjoyment I had from the moment I had cache in hand to seeing the stunning stain glassed windows in the 'Pit Stop'. Will definitely be having a return visit here in the near future with the family, TFTC
I stopped here thinking I could get some lunch but it was tea/coffee and cakes only so I had to drive on to murwillumbah for food, but I'll have to stop at this lovely cafe again for cake!
Thanks for the cache, its in good condition.

Sorry cachers - looks like this one could be missing. I'll try to replace this one Sept 3rd (Wednesday). In the meantime if you are going there sign a piece of paper and place it under a stone near the corner of the garden bed. If I find your note you can have the smilie.
Had a quick poke about but geokid saw other unsuccessful logs so we did not pursue. Muggles a plenty too. Great trains though. Thanks.

Defiantly not here. Even had the lovely help of the lady who was running the coffee shop helping us.
This was a DNF for these novice cachers. Spent a good while scouring the garden bed, then surrendered to the lady in the coffee carriage, said the neighbour had become suspicious (as per previous cacher's entrie), he had retrieved the cache and she had kindly explained the geocaching concept and asked him to replace it. We searched the locale a second time, but a clear DNF for us. Might need to get the expert cacher's on this one.
