DNF shame after a good run at hahei. Maybe check it given other recent log entires also? However we certainly found lots of other taonga in this gorgeous spot!
Maybe the seanny001 log tells the truth.
My search proved fruitless. The cache was not wanting to be found today.
A beautiful view of the beach, which is true paradisiacal.

Not this time. Spent quite a while looking while clarksonz junior enjoyed the swing.
What a lovely place to be. Cache was easily found.
We stayed here two nights at the camping ground on the beach. I recommend it.
Thank you. Merecca from Germany

Nice find. Thanks for the cache. Surprised it hasnt been taken by a mogul! No pensil to sign in, had also forgotten mine. Shy face.
Easy find while enjoying the awesome rope swing nearby! Hahei is one of our favorite places and we were lucky enough to spend Easter there. Worth continuing up the track to check out the old Maori Pa site while you're here anyway. TFTC
After a horrendous night of rain it had stopped as we set off for Hot Water beach and cathedral cove, what a fabulous place this is and so few people around, found the cache ,signed and returned and then continued onto the beach where Mr CD had a swing, and I tried and nearly fell off!! TFTC and for bringing us here.
#11316. This valley might not be entirely secret, but its much quieter than Hahei and Cathedral Cove. Well worth a cache here. TFTC.
Our agenda for the day was to visit Hot Water Beach, Hahei & Cathedral Cove and finally Cooks Beach. Despite our last cache find being just a few kms as the crow flies from our accommodation in Whitianga, we had a 30 minute drive to look forward to. A most enjoyable day in a scenic area, made even more enjoyable by the cache placements.
Managed to walk past the cache as our GPSr had us going further off track. It was only when we walked back to the track that StreetWalker spotted it - quite obvious, really! TFTC.

This cache was quite exposed just sitting in the fork of a small tree...not sure if this the correct location or not replaced as found nice cache in a very special area tftc
Harder to find, even due to previous logs, cause no agave Little searching and found. Thanx.
Found the cache easily thanks to the last log. Been coming to Hahei for years, its a beautiful place.
Thanks
Thanks
After a longer search we eventually found the cache. It was not hidden under a rock near a little tree near the first platform, but in an agave near the second platform.
But anyway it was a nice place here on this beautiful beach. TFTC!

A very enjoyable day (day two) geocaching through the Coromandel. Weather was stunning and the views were amazing

Interesting location, and took a little searching and hint decoding to find. Dropped Peruvian Snoopy TB to start his journey. TFTC
Heading up to Coromandel for a few different reasons so decided to leave a little earlier and make a full weekend of it get a few geocaches on the way.
I was wondering what the best route would be to this cache, but as I was heading to the one on the point first I was keeping and I out. Noticed the set of stairs along the track so gathered that would be the best approach, though I could of saved myself all the hassle and just read the description.
A small hunt about to locate the container, but that was more from the GPS being a little bouncy than anything. Thanks for the hide.

This was an enjoyable short walk. After a few minutes at ground zero, I thought I was going to come up empty handed but my GPSr started to insist that I go somewhere that I had earlier dismissed (I don't know why I had done that). Once on the right track, the treasure was quickly found.
In Hahei for the weekend and decided to explore in the rain. Still so pretty! Nice quick cache to find. Thanks!
2nd cache of the night and ever at night. Adds a good element to it ☺ good hide and nice job with the camo. Hahei is a great place I enjoy every minute. TNLN and TFTC MCNZ & CO.
As previously logged .... Not at base of a tree or hidden by rocks, but GPS pretty much spot on. Lovely wee beach here. Cheers.
Thanks for this cache, and showing us this beautiful secluded bay. We spent ages here today, exploring and enjoying the area. Cache wasn't at the base of a tree or hidden by rocks, but our gps took us to the right spot, and was easily found. A few wasps around though!
The beach is worth a visit to climb in amongst the rocks. Lots of fun. So is the rope swing. The hidden valley is just as described but no sign of the cache for us today.
Very nice place but many Moskitos in the evening. They sucked out, of me what the sandflies had left.
I joined forces with yorkshirekiwi83 for a couple of days caching around the Coromandel Peninsula. After a very early departure from Auckland, we then drove around the Peninsula anticlockwise, calling in at Pauanui, Tairua, Hahei and Cooks Beach, to find caches in those places, before taking the 309 Road to Coromandel, where we stayed the night. A quick find at this lovely little spot! TFTC!

Decided to go away for an early start to the weekend and make a real effort on the Coromandel Peninsula, Vistra was up for the challenge of joining me. Working our way up the coast and we made our way to Hahei, started with this one and it was a lovely little walk from the parking area to the cache site, quick find and we soon had the cache in hand. TB in, PT out

After the crowds at Cathedral Cove this fabulous hidden beach was a joy. Cache didn't prove easy to find but co-ords were spot on. No rocks involved and slightly off GL. PINO TFTC
In the Coromandel for a wedding and decided to pick up a few caches between the main event and the day after BBQ.
This was our first find of the day.
A quick find in a stunning location.

Quick find and easy walk from where we are camping. Kids had great fun on the rope swing down on the beach. Tftc
There's nothing wrong with this cache as i replaced it on the 7/12/14 on behalf of email correspondence with the CO. This one should be enabled. Coords need to be updated to S 36° 50.594 E 175° 48.913.
Cache in perfect condition.
Quick find on the less crowded part of the beach.

#930; @1925. We made a stop here after visiting gorgeous Cathedral Cove. Drowe the car as close as possible (youngsters in the car have been already pretty tired) and walked a bit. Surprise, surprise. 50m off the finals we faced a small canyon, but nothing we could not cope with. Then on the spot we firstly spent good 10 minutes and then, already giving up we saw it. Big, nice cache that was actually not hiding from us at all. TFTC. Greetings from Slovakia. PeLeFiKa

A quick easy find of mike-miss's replacement cache, after meeting the local artist who lives at the start of the track. TFTC
There is no reason why this one needs to be disabled or even archived. I replaced this cache on behalf of the cache owner while visiting this lovely beach. Replaced the cache in a more concealed spot a few meters away - S36 50.594 E175 48.913. As soon as you get to the 90º bend in the track, head off trail a few meters behind the flax. Cache is a screw top camo'd container, placed in the forks of the small Kawakawa tree.
We had a quick look as we hadn't updated our GPS before setting off. We found the location but no box so it isn't fixed. I hope it does get fixed as this is such an amazing spot and a great choice for a geocache.
What a shame. We tried looking because the GPS had not been updated recently - a beautiful place
Had a good look around and found the rock and where it should be but nothing there....
Had a good look around for this one among muggles using the stairs... Found the rock pictured but no Cache
We found the valley which we would not have identified as a valley, but nevertheless it seems to be one... The cache is still there. There was no log book in but we added a log stripe. For the time being I would say the cache can be enabled again, it was intact and with the little sheet in, it would be possible to log again.

A few days after maintaining the cache, it seems the cache has been disabled again, maybe by the people who usurped the spot. I'll have to return at a later date to replace it.
I visited this site and replaced the cache in its original site. Someone had placed another cache in the site, maybe because there was only the rock that I had brought to hide it under. I hid the other cache about a meter away. This strange cache has not been registered or logged. All should be fine now with my cache for a while.
In need of repair as it has been destroyed by muggles. Found broken container nothing and geocache identifier in the valley next to it
It's been opened & destroyed. Will need to be re-established. Great spot for summer though. Cheers
As per previous note, it needs to be fixed & replaced. Been destroyed by muggles.
Nice beach even with not-so-nice weather! Thanks for showing!

A weekend away with rellies from overseas. Excited to fit in a few caches. TFTC
Fun walk and find. Dropped off tb for the 2nd leg of its journey home (for some reason I couldn't log the tb in, the joys of mobile caching. ...)
Did cathedral cove first and we almost liked this place better as there was nobody else around. Great little beach. TFTC.
Easy find while out for the day with our walking group.
I had time for a detour while the others went up to the Pa site.
Note: the lid is cracked and the logbook is damp

Had to head over to Hahei for a client meeting (about their problems) so decieded that seeing as my day was effectivley stuffed I would head over VERY early and get in some caching before the meeting and having to drive all the way back to Hamilton.
just enough time to enjoy the walk out along the track, still only about 9am

A great way to finish off this classic paddle along the coast between here and Hot Water Beach. The swell was kind enough to explore in the sea caves, and the tide just right to paddle through the tunnel through the headland. T4TC -M@
9475… Nice spot for a cache, with great views of the beach and secret valley. Note: the lid is cracked and the logbook is damp. TFTC.
