Nice hiding spot dont be afraid to reach in I can guarantee you there are no scorpions #3
I had a bit of a problem waiting for the signal to settle before I managed to score this one. It wasn't until after that that I saw the survey peg. Didn't realise until I was walking along the other track that this bike/walking track was running parallel and I was been directed to here. Thanks for the hide and walk.
I had a good look here. There is one spot that is the best fit for the terrain rating and "well back" aspect but I couldn't feel it as far as I could reach.
After almost giving up and Partner in Caching Mumbo11 poking all likely dark places, he was told that he would have to shove his hand in sum of them..... First nook and cache was in hand..... TFTC
Took a while sticking my hand in spider full holes in the rocks but to no avail DNF
Had 4 adults and 4 children searching. Finding the survey mark is key. Happy to find it!
Another one found! Initially was looking at what I though was a perfect spot, albeit which turned out to be just half a metre too far to the east. After sticking my hand in right up to my elbow to no avail, took a step back, reanalysed and next minute had hand on the cache, with far less reach required than I'd expected!

Find Number #248
I had just given up, reluctantly started walking back to the car and had a final scan.
"Did I check that place?"
It was a little out of my original search zone but it never hurts to expand your search, right?
Hand in
Feel downwards...
"YUSSS!"
Found it!
A satisfying find after almost giving up.
Especially since I'm short on time and should really be home getting organized for this weekends camping trip....
"Just one cache" on my way home from dropping foster kitty at the SPCA for the long weekend
Thanks for the tricky hide

In Christchurch for a couple of days before heading to Hamilton on a wee road trip.
Today's adventure took me along the Cycle Track before going around Ngà Puna Wai Sports Hub and the Canterbury Agricultural Park.
Spent a good 10 minutes searching before I finally put my hand on it...hmmm I'm sure I already checked in there! TFTC

Mr 5 is on a roll!! He’s braver than I am, sticking his hand into all sorts of crevices. After I persuaded him that it wasn’t “down the bank and right over there!” according to the description, he was onto it. Last cache on our way home after a Matariki exploration, and he’s found a real variety of types and hides. TFTC

Oh wow, this one is well hidden.
I had been here before and failed to find, but hadn't logged a DNF. Took some checking places, some wondering about where and what the survey mark here is, and a lot of sticking my hand in dark places.
Happy to finally knock it off!
Kia ora! Paldies!

Many thanks for the replacement! We came back today, and after donning gloves, felt around in an obvious spot and put a hand on the cache. Thanks, Sandfly Tucker!
Hi Sandfly tucker
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

Noticed this cache for quite some time. Not far but just didn’t have the chance to go that way. Finally went onto a night walk l, after a brief search and the cache is at hand.

Not very water tight. Took a sodden bit of paper out. It's decomposing. The log to record on is good, but had no pencil, so could not record our find.
We the cool people it just took a very long time. Ps, lots of water in one scroll.
Took longer than it should have for us but a neat reserve. Paper was very water logged
Funnily enough the sky was dark with cloud when I came to hunt this one.
I'm trying to keep a streak going so even though my back had spasmed this morning and I was still in agony I swung past on the way home from work. I shouldn't really have gone but it was a bit late to phone in injured an hour before my shift start.
I have no idea how I'm going to convince Mrs Rincewind to take me out to get a cache tomorrow!

The GPSr was pointing TregearP and me off to the South and after a bit of fruitless searching we came back to the D/T and description and used cacher's intuition. Cache then quickly located, signed log and replaced as found.
All in good order, signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.

Out on the bike grabbing a few caches, log was too wet to write on so left a new waterproof log. Thanks Mrs Sandfly tucker

Found with NZDi while out for an evening stroll. We have been on holiday for the last fortnight and have certainly done some travelling in that time. The first five days was spent with family in the Marlborough Sounds followed by a day at home in Blenheim to catch our breathe before heading up to the central North Island to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing and go to the RNZAF's 80th Anniversary Air Tattoo. That was followed by a couple of days in Wellington to visit the Gallipoli Exhibition at Te Papa and do some retail therapy. This was followed by another day at home before coming down to Christchurch for NZDi to have a final fitting for her Mother-of-the-Bride outfit for our daughter's wedding next weekend.
And of course everywhere we went there were caches to find.
The motel we had booked into in Northlands had a 'maintenance issue' and arranged for us to stay in a nearby (to Wigram, not Northlands) AirBnB for no extra cost. So after dinner we went out for a short walk to pick up a few local caches before it got too dark.
This was the third of five and was a QEF and was different to the previous two. I had no issue putting my hand in the hole, though it may have been a different matter altogether if I had been caching in Australia.

Out hunting with Bumbly2. After a fair bit of wiggling from both us nothing was happening so I moved along a bit further and soon had the cache in hand. Tftc.
GZ established but extraction not possible. Clurbee widened area of search and soon had cache in hand.
Thanksfor placing these caches. We enjoy a nice walk with some caching along the way

We were long overdue for a caching adventure with daughter and granddaughter, and today seemed like a good opportunity! The weather was beautiful with only a few intermittent spits of rain and the wind picking up late afternoon. We found a few on our list, and even managed to get a proper coffee into the day [^] TFTC!!

I've been wanting to get some more caches found, and I managed to convince mum to come join for doing so! So we headed out today to see how many we could get, focusing on finding the solved & unfound ones. We didn't do too badly, getting 24 for the day, and with the baby actually being pretty chilled most the day! - Perfect for finding heaps of caches! Haha!
The last find before a much needed coffee break... mmm felt completely like a new person after that!!

A quick find on a bike ride alongside the motorway this morning. Good accurate coordinates took me straight to it. Signed log, TFTC
First decent day's caching since we arrived in Canterbury. Mrs ToT vanished. Later to catch up at The Landing having cruised this quiet wee pathway. TFTC!!!
Rather odd that this lovely path isn't available as an easy side-track from the cycleway. It would be so much nicer to ride along. Thanks.
This bike ride was full of innovative caches, thanks to those who placed and maintained them!
Doing a few of the Motorway caches, & realised I was on wrong side of fence. Luckily a way around the fence is just a few metres up the track. cheers
The storm passed last night. Still chilly and damp this morning. So I popped down here with my little boy on his scooter. I got the cache with his help. Meanwhile the traffic roared past. TFTC.
Mega trip to NZ with vipema, Veke68 and Katsukka, day 5. We found tons of caches and had a blast. We logged as TVVKFIN to save log books. Thanks for the fun and greetings from Finland.
Long time dream came true and we could visit New Zealand. NZ Mega was our maingoal and we had time to find others too. We travelled together with Veke68, Katsukka and tanjuli (+husband) and had great time. We used TVVK Fin (that is tanjuli, vipema, Veke68 and Katsukka) in mostly logbooks to save space.
Thanks for the cache.
Greetings from Finland.

Day #5 geocaching in NZ in good company (=tanjuli + husband, vipema, Veke68 & Katsukka = TVVK-FIN in the logbooks, most of the time), back in Christchurch & surroundings. Had a great time despite the rain and found a lot of caches + saw so many interesting/beautiful places.
Thank you!!!!
Thank you!!!!
Caching holiday in New Zealand with Tanjuli, Vipema and Katsukka continues and now again in Christchurch.
Rainy day but still we found lot of nice caches.
We logged only TVVK-FIN to save space in the logbook.
Thanks!!
