Cache is gone - hardly surprising, since the last finder said it was in plain view!
I'll look to replace it in September.

There's been a little work carried out at GZ recently so we trod carefully in order to reach the cache. It was in plain view but we're guessing that there is some acknowledgement by the Botanic Gardens that this cache placement is OK. Nice size and cache in good order. Thanks!
The GPS has been increasingly out of order today - it must be missing the mainland! Anyway by trial and error finaly had a chance to greet Sydney and sign the log. TFTC #3426
Had planned to do this cache first, on way to the forrest trail, but gardeners were spaying the area, so couldn't get in. Came back after lunch, again thought I would have problems as there was someone cutting the hedge behind the cache. In the end I was just out of his sight to be able to retrieve the cache, and managed to drop cache over to return it. TFTC
#859. My first Auckland find, yay! Thanks for bringing us here. -figurine, -water pistol, +doll, +knight SL, TFTC.
Once again we had to bide our time as muggles went past, but then a quick find and left a TB. TFTC
Quick find, nice spot. Found towards the end of a walking circuit around the Gardens and on my way back to the cafe for lunch. Signed log, TFTC!
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Went for a walk around the Botanical Gardens with Clan McPherson.
Lots of people admiring the roses today, took the opportunity to have a swing whilst we waited. Once muggle free was a quick find.

Found it with Phasevisitor. It took a while to get it due to the number of Muggles in the area. Fortunately there was a very fun sculpture nearby to keep us occupied whilst we waited. TFTC.

Set off with eldest Master Dean as younger two were more interested in playing with a rock pigeon. Lovely spot, but few mugglers around. TFTC
Located the cache, no worries, but decided not to retrieve it as there were too many muggles admiring the marvelous sculptures on display in the gardens. I'll have a nosy in the cache next time I'm visiting.
Quick maintenance visit - replaced camo bag and added swap items.
Please make sure the cache is well hidden (on the ledge behind the fence) when you replace it!

Attempt made on a public holiday - too many people around made searching diffucult.
Great cache!! 3rd one to find at The Gardens. Remember to bring some insect repellent!! overall awesome cache!!
#412 My 1st cache in New Zealand! Since the Botanic Gardens is very close from the airport, we visited the gardens before going to Auckland. A really nice botanic gardens. It was big and I can easily spend an entire day just walking around it. Took TB and get it a bit closer to its goal. Merry Christmas! TFTC!
Not too difficult to find, but what a mission to return it!!
A Gran arrived with grandson and spent time on the exhibit, which is part of the sculpture trail. The young boy got bored and just as I thought I was getting a gap to replace the cache, the granddaughter arrived with granddad.
I have never taken so long to replace a cache!
Grabbed “Aaron’s Bat” to move it on.

Great location & a nice easy find.
Loved your 'Frog in a Suitcase' cache too.

Met some new cachers whilst we were here! Busy day with the opening of the new sculpture trail!
Loved the "not for travel" bug and the swing nearby with it's plus size seat. It's part of the "Sculptures in the Park" but how often does a swing fit adults - sure hope they keep this one permanently. Terrific large container - a fav for us. PINO TFTC
First cache in the botanic gardens. Beautiful area, although I normally don't like botanic gardens Nice cache-guardian and a nice, well-maintained cache, thanks, v.c.
We found it during a stroll through the beautiful garden. Really decent and nice cache.

Found it! Master 3 helped. Lots of muggles about but its a secluded area...
Nice hide -- like the cache guardian! Added some nice swag items as the contents was a bit depleted

Three geocoins supposed to be in here that were dropped off just a week ago are missing -- possibly this cache is being pillaged? Suggest no more trackables are dropped off in here for a while as it may not be safe
Out with the beautiful bjarni1 and chesterdog today, between the rain drops.
Tere were a few juggles sitting on the nearby bench so had to wait for them to disperse before grabbing the cache. Quick find but like the effort put into them, wish more people would put some fun ones like these out.

It was time to visit the Botanical Gardens again. It has been a while since I was last here.
A nice little secluded area to sit and comtemplate things worldly and not-so-worldly.
Cheers for the cache.

Out and about this afternoon in the ABGs trying to make some progress on a puzzle. Slow progress indeed, so it was off to grab some traditionals to build up the confidence. A super easy an quick find. Camo bag has seen better days I am sure. Nice spot for a cache. Cheers for the hide!
Lovely spot! Was nice to have a little sit down before we did some more hunting. Lovely place.
Had to wait to snatch this cache. Various people decided to sit on a nearby seat and chit chat. So had to do park map studying on another nearby seat until they moved on. Then in like Flynn to nab the cache with a quick log sheet signing and cache replacement. Just in time as more people arrived to sit on the barely cold seat. Popular spot! TFTC.
Out and about on a Sunday afternoon caching in the Botanical Gardens. Plenty of muggles sitting close-by so had to wait for them to move on from their seat. Once gone, nabbed the cache just before more muggles came into view. Quick sign of the log book and returned without being sighted. TNLNSL - TFTC!
31-03 5th find of the day at 10:45 and 1281st find in total.
We couldn't have picked a better place to go caching today or better weather to do it in. These gardens sure are brilliant!
This one had the holy trinity of caching, good cache placement, concealment and co-ords. gc2j5ka remains
(''\(OoO)/'') Thanks Mr Tomato for the caching fun!
*** Note: We left the remains of the muggled C2J5KA in this cache. They are in an empty Kleenex packet in the logbook bag so the owner can retrieve them. They are not just rubbish.

Taking our friends on their first Geocaching experience to find this, the first of two caches we showed them how to find. Milo found this one, which she was very happy about. T4TC, the guardian was a very clever idea. Lots of little goodies to swap, which was great. Thanks again!!! [^]
#2 on our morning walk through the gardens - had to watch out for a nearby muggle photographer with an awesome camera, that Furbs was jealous of...
Nice little garden, inside the botanic gardens.. Nice warm morning for a walk.. Had to watch out as a Photographer was hanging around.. TFTC.
An awesome day in the gardens, having a picnic with the family. Muggles almost sprung me at GZ. TB's out.
We took a rest here and waited for a muggel-free moment to grab the box.

This one was bit tricky since there were muggles around. We quickly thought of a plan, evilon9 to sit and enjoy the gardens while I would followed the hint. It was easy after that. Nice hide in the pretty place.

A super easy fine on out quest to find our 600th cache, very hot and quite tricky to retrieve without alerting the muggles
Continued our unplanned tour of caches that the McCutchan Cache Clan found before us today. Noticed a couple of people enjoying a seat out of view so I made myself more noticeable and Snakelion did the dirty work to make the find. Great day to be out enjoying the sun today. TFTC
