I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
We came to do this one, me and Rebel98 and rustynz and saw there is a continuous fence around the whole BMX area, can't get close to the cache and loads of new soil in the fence area, possibly cache has gone? Just letting the C.O know.
One of several caches located today on our way to Whangarei and in the town itself. Was still looking for this one when Mrs tbird joined me in the search. A moment later it was she who found it! #4588. TFTC.
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.
Cheers, Cympull.

An easy find, pen decided that now is the best time not to work!! Took a phot of the cache as evidence if needed. TFTC
Went for a walk in a new place at the end of a long day. Found quickly with the help of the hint
Found this a couple of months ago but forgot to log it. Returning from holiday further north and had time to spare before our flight. Good chance to stretch the legs before the plane
I was staying nearby for a few days so took the opportunity for an early walk around this green space. Very few muggles about so a nice quick retrieval. TfTC
We parked up at a near by carpark, but there was a lot of work going on around the place and I had to walk quite a long way around them to get to the cache.
Once there it didn't take too long to locate the nicely disguised cache.
Thanks for putting this here for us to find.

Was wandering back to my car after a short walk here when I realised there was a cache here!
Cool hide...even though I took longer than I should have!

Super cool find. Took some time and a quick Google of what Ferrous was. Loved it.
Great camp, sorry but we were having trouble pulling the log out so we couldn’t sign it. I’ve attached our photo as proof, sorry for the SPOILER guys and gals
Wandering round to part 5 of the adventure lab, we thought we'd pick this one up whilst we were here.
A quick find at GZ but we couldn't get the log out of the cache to sign it as my tweezers are in the other bag.

North Island Campervan trip Day 10
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
Last night was spent near the centre of Whangarei, so that I could spend a few hours caching around here before starting my drive back to Auckland. That was always assuming the weather played ball of course lol!
I was starting my day by (concurrently) doing the 2 Adventure Labs currently available near the centre of Whangarei plus any other regular caches that I would be walking past, including this one. And who says men can't multitask eh? :p
I was doing this loop and trying to avoid the worst of the showers, so I was very happy to discover that this cache came with extensive shelter from he rain lol! The combination of a quiet Sunday morning and the rain meant that I had the place to myself and was able to have an uninterrupted search.
It didn't take too long to locate this one, even though it had not been left by previous finders in accordance with the Hint. But once the log was signed, the whole lot was replaced more in line with it.
Thanks for setting up this cache

I saw this cache on my GPSr as I was completing an Adventure Lab. I was led to a promising site and I thought I knew what the hint was all about but I couldn't find the cache. After extending my search area for a few minutes, I returned to where I started and found the container on the ground. After attending to the paperwork, I put the cache back to where I believe it belongs.
Labour weekend near Whangarei heads. Visited this spot while on my bike doing AL around the area. Simply and effective! TFTC
That is a yeah nah from me, good to see it being well used today. Found with mrcleverclogs while the muggles were at the other end.
I love to BMX, competed at the new track last season and hope to he back in a few weeks. Great practise track.
what a nice Beautiful area and good day out cacheing with fire house after we doing a adventure lab
Oops! forgot to re-enable when lockdown levels changed to allow it! Safe & Happy travels and caching
Due to the Covid 19 lockdown & the need for everyone to keep within their "bubble", same reason as playgrounds are off limits, so are physical geocaches until further notice. Try some cracking puzzle/mystery caches, and get find the finals later, when it is safe.
Keep Well everyone!
Keep Well everyone!
I remember looking for this when I first started caching for a very long time. What a difference a few years experience can make. I found it in a completely different place to where I was looking in the year 2015! Tftc
No bmx for me today, walking around the loop. Log is full so couldn't sign. Great hide, took us a few looks before we had it in our hands
After doing some shonky maths nearby, over and over again, I headed to this one for a nice Q E F and headed after mrs c who had made a dash into the distance.
A caching day of three halves today. The first part of the day was spent up the top of Parihaka which I'd been eyeing up since last visit but we managed to get a few whilst up that way along with mrs c, son Ed and the 3 year old twins, a 2 year old and little Mahlia in the carrier on his chest. All this overlaid with yet another scorcher of a day and good fun and sweating was just the trick. For the rest of the day we headed out to Whangarei Heads for a first trip out that way and with a timing for low tide on Ngunguru spit to be made we didn't stay too long out there.
Good variety today and some awesome scenery, again. Thanks to all COs.
After a weekend in Wellington and catching up with my UK based mother and her cruise trip to NZ, we made the most of being up here on the North Island and added an extra 6 days in Northland to the trip itinerary. We flew up to Auckland on Sunday afternoon and after a faff around with a hire car we took the scenic/dark route up the Helennsville highway to the North. Arrived late on Sunday night and straight to sleep. We had a week with son Ed and his 4 under 3 years old children. Fun time was had and some nice experiences.

Another quick find as we strolled around the basin doing the lab cache

Nice little container!!! Log full but we overwrote near the top of the sheet! TFTC
As we hadn't been out cache hunting for a while due to the summer heat and humidity the 02220 souvenir was an incentive to go for a short walk late afternoon to collect a couple of the local caches.
This one had been on my to do list for quite awhile and was a quick find once we reached GZ.

Found while taking the kids for a scoot around the loop. Great way to avoid the Christmas madness in town. Love the container!! Thanks for the cache.
Found when we went on our scooters around the loop. thanks for the cache.

Before the cito started it was early enough to have a good look before the bmx madness of the day started

Last day of Labour weekend holiday with Merlot58. Lots of muggles using the bike park today, so we sat and rested in the shade before finding this one.
Spending the long weekend in the area with Jag50. So glad we didn’t have to go up the top as there were a few young riders there which would have made searching difficult. I found it in the first place I looked
I’ve had some pretty impressive bails here over the years, it was nice to come back here and watch some of the football that was also going on. Nice cache, TFTC
Quick find, but definitely need tweezers to get the log out... ended up using sticks lol. Got there in the end. TFTC!
I think I may have gone for this one once before years ago but was deterred by muggles. This time I had the place to myself and managed to spot the cache. Cheers for the hide!
Awesome camo. Quick grab. Met two friendly junior cachers who were keen for a chat! Tftc
Found this one yesterday but violated the first rule of geocaching & forgot a pen. Grateful to be in this beautiful country. Visiting from Oregon USA where we have a foot of snow, cold & power outages. Tftc
Not one but two BMX based geocaching sites on one day! Down from the other end of the park to check this one out and luckily enough the cache was pretty much in the first or second place I looked. Have seen a few of these by now so no trouble working out what to do. I think the hardest bit was getting that pesky plastic log out of the cache! Thanks for the cache, all good here.
On A road trip with Dee+ME from Tauranga. Have been having a poke around here and there and been taken to some great places, many thanks to all you COs for your placements. Cheers
Passing through Whangarei with McJandals, on our way north to do Twin Coast Cycleway. Having abit of a cycle around picking up a few caches. Almost passed over this.
A favourite from me
Cheers

That was cool! Had to navigate around an arachnid friend but managed it. Early evening so no bikers to avoid or hear my squeals! Gets a fav from me! TFTC

Up today watching my Grandson compete, what an amazing facility. No cache to find but even if it were there I would have not got near the ramp with the competition and no geocache is worth me riding over that course on a BMX
Sounds like it's missing. Sorry, have not had a chance to check on it. Disabling until able to check & do maintenance.
After a visit at Kiwi North i going for a walk in Whangarei. The cache was easy to find. TFTC
Found from the ground looking then up the ramp for very windy so on the stomach and got it.TFTC
