The could be for one of several reasons:

Logs
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
I noticed that this cache has been in need of owner maintenance for an extended period of time well in excess of the period of "a few weeks" as contemplated by the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) and then repair the cache within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication/action.

Had a good arond the clue item and its support but no luck. I did find a rock with some stuff stuck to it but no cache.
Thanks glyn
Very quick find as I had a good idea where to look for it, having previously seen the container.

Fixed-- new log, bag and pencil , back in place, least I could do as its so close to home!
Mint tin lid is missing though.

Found but it needs maintenance. The cache was laying exposed the log on the ground with no lid. Placed back where I think it should be.
Stopped for a quick find on our way home from the Mega Event. Cache is very rusty, but log is dry. Cheers for the cache placement!
Had a quick look at this one during the day but far too much traffic to be discreet.Decided to attack it during darkness, about 9pm. Much less traffic and a very quick find, no problem. Log quite damp, added an additional ''Ziploc'. TFTC ....
A nice quick and straightforward find thanks to the hint, but I did feel a little exposed during the retrieval. TFTC
Chec tried her new toy out and it even beeped when she arrived at the cache then congratulated her upon getting it.
Ig was out of the car and had this cache in hand before Mig was even out of the car

A quick find here. Parked on the other side of the main road, so had a bit of a mission crossing during rush hour!
Was approaching, and thought I saw a likely hiding spot. Wasn't sure though, GPS hadn't settled yet, and I didn't want to be messing about with muggles stuck in traffic who would probably be on looking. So checked the hint, and this backed up what I had thought before.
Took another look while on the path, and spotted the cache. So walked right up to it, signed it, and raced back to the car. I don't thing anyone even had the time to notice me! Lol.

A quick find as dusk was approaching. Was the last cache for the night in this area after spending the day roaming the local suburbs! TFTC
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Quick find at dusk, struggled to get the log sheet out of the container, but got there in the end, signed the log sheet and returned to its hiding place.

Wearing a flouro jacket would have been useful here, as felt a bit exposed rummaging around for this one. Luckily it was quickly found.
This was a nice easy find. Not as easy to look like we were meant to be there!
Thought I would do a quick grab, as I was in the area...parked and made it to the middle of the road. Then a huge aggressive dog came straight at me from a nearby house, I was not going to get this cache and I might even end up in hospital. After yelling a few expletives at it he backed off, but came back as soon as I made one step I the wrong direction. I yelled a bit more...adding a few choice words. Then a car pulls up and the dog calms down...the owner then apologized for his puppies bad behaviour, I left after a few more words...this is one cache that can wait. Thanks for the fun...
A short walk out with the littlies for this one. Spotted the likely place as we got close and our eldest mini geogram (7) quickly had it as we passed. Although we had to run on to the bus stop as one of Auckland's short sharp showers came in just then Once it passed we headed back and she replaced it, this time with our signature in the log and a couple of small trades swapped.

Grabbing a few cache finds while in the area. Nice quick find here, not too much traffic to contend with on Xmas Eve. TFTC!!!
The clue helped to make it a quick find. Which was good, because there was a fair bit of traffic
I thought I had missed this one way back and happened to drive past on my way to another cache only to recognise the place from the description. Usually more organised than that! TFTC #2389
A nice quick easy find despite all the muggle vechiles going past.

Nice, quick find - one that we've been meaning tick off the to do list for some time now!

Quick find while out with Zork for the day. Had to watch out for some surveyors working near site.
A nice little walk on a beautiful day. Not to many people around at this time of day either.
Found on day 1 of a 3 day Auckland cache raid with Kiwi Explorer. Parked easily off the main road and approached GZ. Spotted the cache from a few metres away for a nice quick find. TFTC, Biggles.
Found with Biggles while caching in the area. A short search and the cache was found. Thanks.
Parked by your cache while driving the Team Y-Cacho's Auckland cache raid 24 hour mission
Many thanks for your cache, plan to be back soon with Butterfly_Lady

09:29 - Quick find after some rubbish bin dodgems on the grass verge. Out today with G2. Thanks for the cache.
No traffic issues at this time of the night (almost midnight) - also a well lit area so a good one for night caching
#631 Love these longer nights, got a borrowed fancy GPS, so keen to get out there and log some finds, while we have it. We also parked creatively to nab this one quickly. SL. TFTC
Cheecky enough to use car park as it was open on Sun.
quick walk to GZ, waited for traffic gap and "bingo"

nice easy cache but needed to time things with the traffic as it is a fairly exposed cache location. tftc
Very nice, did this one at night. Just to let you know log is damp, but other than that all good. Thanks for the adventure on this one. Hmm now for the rest of the series, which I may do in the daylight!! TFTC.
Had this one in hand pretty quickly. Sent Fuzzy to retrieve it. The hardest thing was trying to get the book back in the cache! TFTC
Found with Ledge End, locked ourselves out as a result =(

found with mondoolix, our 12th for today. by far the longest i've ever spent finding a cache. well not entirely true, the actual find was very fast. parked within 30 feet and had the cache within seconds. returned to the car and rummaged through my pocket for the key...nope. mondoolix? nope. we look inside.... oh
locked the keys in the ignition (with our mcdonalds, which is starting to get cold already). so we call for help, except my phones out of credit. need to use mondoolix's phone to call my brother for a spare key. great, all the keys are currently spread across auckland with various family members, none of whom understand the urgency of caching. so after 30 minutes we locate aa roadside rescue's number and give them a call. no worries, they'll be with us in 30-40 minutes. and so, after 70 minutes of standing outside in the cold, the truck pulls up and has us inside within 30 seconds. really quick and great service
but it wasn't all bad news! highlights of the cache include:
seeing glyn (the only one) drive past!
being able to walk down the road and get another cache
the mcdonalds was somehow not frozen after 70 minutes
the milkshakes and cold drinks were all on the outside of the car when it was locked
so thanks for the cache, it just proves that even simple caches can be a mission for the less sensible amongst us!

Had thought about putting one here myself, at my backdoor, almost!
Well done, nice cache hide.

Made a quick to sign the log as our "hotel" was just around the corner. Thanks!
Have been watching this cache since it went in. Could actually see it from the car as I passed on the way home, but it was always to busy to be able to stop & retrieve. So today out on a caching raid with the kids, it was the first on the list. TFTC
1.30pm. Quiet today - not too much traffic or people around. Mrs JF thought she saw what looked like the cache as we approached on an uphill projectory. Proved to be correct so a very quick and straightforward find. Retired across the street to write up the log and found the wind whipping by the greatest problem of the day!

Thought this was rather a conspicuous place for a cache. Impossible to be sneaky about it. Parking wasn't easy either as traffic whizzes down the hill and around the corners. TFTC
My first and in my local area so not too hard - but the thrill was there though. I'm hooked. Bring it!
Found without too much trouble but felt a little exposed in the middle of the road.
Cheers for the cache.
