It's not there and hadn't been for months ever since the childcare centre was pulled down. I had just solved it when the fence was taken down. Did CO get the cache back? Should this be disabled?
GZ will not be accessible during the building process, not sure if the cache will survive. CO should check & at least disable for time being.
No sure it is still there. We have taken rather a long time to solve this one and now there is building going on at the site. Will keep a watch on it. A clever puzzle .
Had a go at this at home then decided it was best to go to the area only it turned out I had the wrong area. I had managed to solve the South coords but had to PAF to get on the right track for the east coords. Soon everything fell into place as words suddenly leaped out at me! A very clever little puzzle and an equally clever hide! TFTC A fav from me
The puzzle was solved at home, so all we had to do was collect the smiley!
Cache was found on Day 5 of the NZ MEGA 2015 caching trip, as Gunnie69 and myself made our way to the airport collecting a few smilies. A very nice day meant we made good progress through Cracroft, Hornby and Papanui, and finishing to catch a plane home!
Thanks macraeclan for the efforts of putting out the cache and making it an enjoyable day!

Let me start by saying that the previous finder certainly hid this well... Or there has been a truck load of leaves dropped over the last couple of months... It took a while to unearth the container and I had started to look in places where you could not fit a small cache...
After about 10 minutes or so, I finally unveiled what I was looking for and let out the call to Ghostgums who was head down elsewhere... I quickly added our names to the log, then Ghostgums checked the map and said HEY, there's a cache 40m away from here... Huh, how can that be I wonderred... [?] not that I was worried, it gav us another one to add to the tally...
Cheers macraeclan.

Needed my cache, and had an errand to run, semi out this way, and have been meaning to tick this one off for a while!!!
I sort of figured out eventually how to solve this one - took a while!! But then I still couldn't get it quite right! And needed a nudge from a previous finder...
With the coords in hand though, or, at least an approximation of the coords, and went out.
I spent ages at GZ though, with no idea where a peanut butter jar would even fit!! Hint threw me off, and there was knee deep leaves everywhere not helping! But to my susprise, I did manage to pull a cache out. Yay!!

Solved this one a fair while ago now. As a cryptic crossword solver it was not to much of a stretch to find the final coordinates. Finally got around to collecting today ... E Puzzle for February strangely enough. GPS had me a little way away but used caching senses and hint so soon put hand on cache. Thanks for the puzzle and cache.
I were missing an 'E'for the newly published month caches and happened across this one. Had the puzzle solved quickly however one of the red crosses on geocheck is mine when my maths let me down. Easy find once at GZ. TFTC.
Great wee puzzle. Great wee find. No-one around. Signed log. Thanks for the great cache.
One of the words took a bit of figuring out but still had the puzzle cracked pretty quickly. Nice quick find today. TFTC.
Once I got a nudge from a previous finder for one of the words, this was a pretty easy solve for the Directions. Only just got around to solving for the co-ordinates. Very quick find on a deserted evening. Thanks for the cache.
On a mission to clean up CO's caches to assist in future maintenance. This one took some puzzling but got there in the end. Very clever. Thanks for the puzzle and hide.
Tftc took a wee while to figure out but once I got the 10 letter word it was good.
The cache was easily found and I took it back to my car, parked close by, to fill out the log. When I looked up, two dodgy looking men dressed in camo clothing walked up and sat under the trees close by with beer bottles in hand, watching me. I did a short walk around the block hoping to replace the cache from a different, more hidden angle but to no avail - they watched me like a hawk, and when I returned to the car I could see one of them wave (or give the finger?) to me. Quite spooked, I drove off (still with cache in hand) and looked for another cache nearby, returning later once they had gone to replace it back in it's hiding spot. Despite the fright, the puzzle was very clever! TFTC
Blast! Raced down after work and found this at 5.40am. I was looking for the TB listed as in here. Either Hello Mrs dropped it in the wrong cache or... someone beat me to it! No name in the log so must've been a previous finder. Thanks for the cache, of course, and the hunt continues.
well hidden in a busy little spot. This was 1 of 10 puzzle finds this evening out with NZTIKES.
Cheers.
Cheers.
A clever puzzle, got it half solved fairly quickly but had to await an inspiring moment to work out the rest of it.
Many thanks for the fun macraeclan

Came to GZ several weeks ago in the rain and without the clue and DNF where my GPS indicated. A friend confirmed I had the right coords yesterday and armed with the clue this time made a reasonably quick find under piles of leaves a few metres from where I looked previously. TFTC
Found on windy and cold day, so I tried to find it quickly. I had problem to puzzle out fourth word but finally the solution was nice and easy. Thanks. Greetings from CZ.
Finally!!! I had this solved a while ago and came looking on the very rainy day a few weeks earlier but had one part of one word inverted. Came back today and found immediately. Tftc
I did this cache a bit scrambled.... found the GZ first then went and worked out the puzzle (with a nudge from a friend on where to start) to get the green tick so I felt I could actually log it! (has only taken me 18months) like how the written clues on where the cache was eventually gave you the co-ordinates!
Had enormous problems solving. Started April 2011 when we were visiting and dug it out for another go when we decided to come down for the Mega but the hide proved easy and pleasant to find. PINO TFTC
"Ask henceforth chat" (6,3,3,5). Good job on puzzle and hide. Glanced at this cache a few Weeks ago and didn't quiet get it, originally thought it was trigonometry and looked for 'easier' pickings. Sat down last night and got the 'aha'. Quickly solved... Yeah right, why isn't geocheck giving me a green tick... Check word, check values, check sums... Ohh, + doesn't equal *, now I have tick. SL.
I made hard work of this, it took me ages to find out what I was actually supposed to do. Then after that google helped me quite a bit, but there was one google had no idea about. So that slowed me down. Got it sorted and geochecker agreed. Found the cache today, and was surprised how close it was to another cache, the reviewer can't have checked that when publishing... hmmm oh well. TFTC (747)
#819: Donut if!
I worked through this nice puzzle about a month ago, but waited until now to make the find, as I had an "empty" cache day on the caching calendar. Now only 14 more calendar days to fill! As with others, as I arrived at GZ I was a little worried about the potential muggle factor, but I waited for a break in the action, then made my move. Nice wee hiding place for the container! Well done, and it adds to the camo nicely. I dropped a nice coin I picked up yesterday (Happy Trails!), and also a good piece of swag.
SL/TFTC!

I solved this two weeks ago but there were too many muggles at the time to attempt retrieval. Tonight I only had to wait for two to leave before I quickly found and signed. TFTC
Will have a troop of scouts finding this one (i am running a geocaching night) and writing their names in the logbook on Wednesday the 30th of November. I advise that if you want a peaceful night's caching then do not come in the hours of 7-9pm.
This was find number 9 of 13 caches found on 11/11/11 for 8ManAfter's 4x4 Challenge. Even though I had checked the coordinates were correct, I was still a bit uncertain as I approached the cache. But then I spied the prize. Cheers Macraeclan for the cache.
Solved an age ago; finally in the area on a lovely sunny day. Quick find whilst wandering passed....Clever puzzle. Cool wee hide. Thanks.
I solved the puzzle a while ago. Liked the idea with this one. Today i had some spare time to go and look for the cache. No problems at GZ, although I felt a bit conspicuous there so wandered off to sign the log before I replaced it. TFTC, Biggles.
The cache may be terrain 1, however I suspect that the difficulty level should be higher.
I'm useless with anagrams so this one was a real challenge for me.
Solved it over two evenings!

Partially solved this a while ago - enough to get started. Today I proceeded to ... and solved the rest, then easily found the cache. TFTC
The hottest day of the year and they decide they need to go for a walk. We found our first geocache after decoding the clues. No need for the coords. Swapped the steam-engine for a bosun's call. Thanks.
With some help from the family we got the clues uncoded. Quick find even without actual co-ordinates. First puzzle find. Thanks (#16)
5469 Nice puzzle, solved it by taking an interesting cryptic tour of the neighbourhood, TFTC
Found by torchlight while out walking the puppies. Have been meaning to have a look for the cache for months and having remembered to put new batteries in the etrex today took the puppies and our youngest tribe member to find this one and the other two close by.
Excellent hiding place!

3306. We hadn't looked at this puzzle when we were out this way recently but once we had solved it we knew immediately where the cache was as we had parked there last time and indeed again today. It would appear that 2 cache hunts end up rather too close to one another!
Thanks

A clever puzzle - that is a puzzle that is designed for clever people, and because I'm not one of them I left the solving to RexTrex. Found with Rex and the remaining members of McWindeLunex7 as we enjoyed the dry spell as the rain came to an end. TFTC!
There is as much a feeling of relief when a puzzle falls out in your hands, as there is when you actually find the cache - otherwise there is a nagging doubt that you might have got something wrong. Love those geocheckers, but that wouldn't have helped for this puzzle. Thanks for this one macraeclan, good cache.
Convienient grab while going for the others near-by. What was with Winglen's water bottle? Mystery..
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Yet another puzzle solved before we came over. Rex Trex came up with the goods for this one and once at GZ, the cache ws soon in hand.
Thanks to the main two puzzle solvers, McPhan and Rex, we managed to claim a few of these tricky litle puzzles while here.

3111. [font=Comic Sans Ms][green]I had struggled and failed to solve this one as I had a wrong word in the first clue. Had few bits but that caused the fail. Rex Trex stepped up and in a couple of weeks had solved this and many more puzles around Christchurch in preparation of our invasion. A quick find in a unique hidey hole. I've not seen one precisely like that before. Top effort.

Solved this last night. Popped out today to find it. Interesting hide Cheers Gav [5871]
Took a minute or two to solve but no problems at GZ. Interesting puzzle, more like a letterbox. -TB
Solved this one the night it was published and Google Earth helped pin down the location of the hide. Tonight was our chance to make the find, and it was exactly where we thought it would be. A different sort of puzzle. Thanks.

Came to find this one before but left the piece of paper at home so did the other local one, thought we had better come back and finish this one, nice easy find today. Thanks Grace for your cache.Took key TB
Ohh, a bad time of day for this one with the parents and little ones around the place. Collected the cache then wandered over to the other nearby one to have a look and by the time I got back all the folks who had been parked up nearby had moved along, a quick dash to put it back and done! TNLN Thanks,
We couldn't solve all the pieces of the puzzle, but managed enough to calculate the coordinates, and the cache was easily found, surprisingly close to another cache. TFTC
Solved the crossword puzzles and then got stuck into the maths. Huh? The answer put the cache kilometres away, so far that my answer had to be wrong! Reverted back to following the decoded instructions and found the cache in seconds without using the gps. I think the formula for longitude correction is in error for the 7 letter word I got (I am sure it is the correct one). I wonder how this cache managed to get past the proximity rule.
To try and keep with the theme of this cache (which was good for the brain) we also had a "PLEB ROM" (PLEB - a plebeian or commoner ,ROM - a Gypsy man or boy) with working out the E offset "the 7 letter word: L7x((L4+L6)-(L3+L5))" Which from our reading was 783 - "Result" (didn't get us to GZ ). We ended up going to "A DISMAL BELLHOP" and had the cache in hand within a minute. Found by Oldest before I even got out of the car. Swapped a bear for a yo-yo. TFTC.
Just one thing. if you stand in front of the A Shabbier lordly pi don't face north but west. That is the direction you have to go. And if you have a clue were it is you can easily find it. Like me I just walked in and found it really fast. My dear friend says I should say that because i am a neird and that was my first cache and I shpouldn;t have found it so fast... tftc.
And I picked up tb and i will take it with me to ecuador.

found this afternoon with fvr89. he is good at these puzzles even though he's german! TFTC
Had meeting in area, so tried to blend in with the muggles. Quick retrieval, clever puzzle & hide! Thanks.
#1241 (FTF 47). Couldn't pass up the chance for a nearby FTF. Not sure I understand how to work out the coords (bit confused by instructions for working out the South offset), but was happy to rely on the directions. Busy at GZ even at 2035. Nice hide. CFTT!
I think this one snuck past the reviewers; well under a hundred metres from a neighbouring cache!

My sort of puzzle - enjoyed it (though you may be missing a number from the instructions for the S offset). We wondered if La Vista would be hot on the trail as well, since the shorter half of the team would be able to decypher the puzzle in a flash, but apart from a few muggles, all was quiet at GZ.
Great hide. Thanks Grace and rest of the clan.
Great hide. Thanks Grace and rest of the clan.
Thanks for the vote of confidence Troodles! Hmm distance between ? Should probably be rated higher than 1/1 for a puzzle that's not really straight forward (other half of team's comment), knew SW & T (the awesum SWAT team? ) would have the distance advantage & I'm not the cache & release addict of the team !
Hmm I will have to rethink trying to outwit the SW&T team. thanks for the corrections.
