Library staff are keen for CO to retain a cache at the new library. A new replacement cache will be made as it has been confirmed as MIA. Works re the new library will be completed by the end of 2024. So, the cache will not be available until the opening.
Recent correspondence from the library suggests that this cache may have gone missing in the temporary library closure.I have another very helpful staff contact who will confirm this for me and then a decision will have to be made re the future.
Hi folks. The Henley Library will be under renovations for much of the next 12 months and so this cache will potentially be out of action for that time. I have written to the library staff for clarification and await a reply. Thanks Contact Zero
CO will liaise with Library staff regarding their renovations and put this cache back on line when able.
The local library which contains the final destination of this cache is currently closed for refurbishment. I will enable the cache when this work is complete.
Found the coords at WP1 with the reference to the final, however the Library has officially closed (as of 29/10/23) - see attached photoLooks like this cache is unavailable.
Could only do part 1 - closed for a public holiday. Leaving Adelaide today, so this will have to wait a long time
Out and about on my Deadly Treadly once more and remembered this one as on my list of to do. Found quickly although had to wait for area to clear before retrieving vital clue. Library was in full swing and the system seemed a bit tricky to navigate but I got there in the end. I love Library caches, always good fun.
That was very clever.
Glad the library is supportive and keeping this going.
Managed to find this one without assistance. Although the library may need some help with Dewey and book order!

The last time I swung by here it was the one day of the week where the cache was not accessible. Today was perfect - practically nobody inside except me and just as I was about to put my hand on the cache, a helpful staff member asked if she could be of assistance. She saw what I was picking up and her face dropped. “Oh no, I think that might be ….” And it was - exactly what I was looking for.
Nice work on the cache yet again Contact Zero, well done. A favourite.

Loved it, I don't often get into libraries but I worked in one for a short time and remember the numbering system. TFTC Contact Zero
Picked up the Rat from her nest and then headed south to meet up with the Starfish for some Tuesday Trekking north west of the city.
Have been wanting to get my name in this log for quite a while and today was finally the day. Knew what we were looking for but it still took a while before The Prize, sorry, make that The Three Sirens was found. Don't think that the book layout is strictly to the Dewey Decimal system but more grouped according to content. Did have a nice chat to some of the staff on the way out who were sure we needed some help.
Thanks Contact Zero for placing this cache.
Cache #13417 for me.

Today I was joined by S.A. Sewer Rats and Ttrogg for a Tuesday Trek around the western suburbs and down the Port way. With no new caches published whilst out and about we actually stuck to the plan.
We did the first part of this cache last week but the Library wasn't open early on Wednesdays and we altered plans to hunt FTF's. So back we came today to hunt the prize. The search took way longer than expected but we didn't want to ask for help. The numbers jumped from below to past randomly along the lines. Eventually Ttrogg found the prize and another magnificent camo it was. Log signed the friendly staff asked if we needed help? She was genuinely happy that we had found it without help. Yet another FP from me for this cache too. [:X]

Greetings from BC, Canada.
Touring Australia and New Zealand with my family. We have been enjoying the beautiful landscape and visiting some awesome locations.
Stopping along the way to grab some cool caches. We targeted high favourite, old caches, different cache types and some other caches along our routes.
Thanks to all the cache owners for creating, placing and maintaining these great geocaches!
Found with BeesKnees34 (my wife and my son) and SOB_4M. Once inside it was BeesKnees34 who found the prizes.
Gets a fav from me.

I was here back in November but I couldn’t get to the final for ‘The Prize’ and if I tried I’m sure I would have set off more than one siren!
Today being a bit cooler I decided a casual ride on my bike was in order to clean up a few caches in the area.
A cool final hide

We visited Henley Beach today to do the mosaic adventure lab and after finishing it, we walked around to see if any nearby caches could be gotten at the same time. This looked interesting and indeed it is the first time we ended up finishing a cache of this type as other similar ones we attempted in the past were always closed at the time of our visit. A fun experience and certainly worth a favourite point TNLNSL TFTC
GLMMelb team are on holidays in Adelaide. Jmelb was looking at the market while I came up the road to find this cache. A look at the hint and I soon had the outdoor information I needed. I then went inside and identified what was required quite quickly. Signed and replaced the 'cache'. Thanks Contact Zero

Met up with CO at this location to do some local geocaches. This one is very cool and it also has an interesting history with the "container" having some personal significance. Thanks so much Contact Zero for our afternoon out and also for the cuppa and hospitality. Best wishes and keep on making more of your cool caches.
Out for a few after work caches, targeting some unfound and newly published ones.
This was a very well done hide and I enjoyed the hunt and the creativity.
Worthy of favourite point.
Put my signature in the log book and returned the cache to its hiding spot.

Hi folks. This took longer than I would have liked (it’s a long story) but the new and improved cache is back on line. Thanks for being patient
New cache is ready and CO is booked in to meet Library staff member to finalise arrangements for a location that suits them on 6/4/22.
Thanks for waiting. Contact Zero

Contact Zero have been liaising with Library staff re recovery of the lost cache “The Prize” and the long delayed renovations that have interrupted this undertaking. It appears that the cache is gone for good so the owner has nearly finished making a replacement but will need time before final Library renovations are completed before finalising GZ. Please be patient folks.
Hi folks. After many years bringing smiles to cachers, The Prize appears to have been muggled, stolen, misplaced or some other dreadful fate. Library staff are doing their best to locate it. But if there is no luck, it will be replaced by an equally worthy find soon. Thank you for your patience. Contact Zero
No luck for us today. Step 1, instructions located. Step 2, doors were open. Step 3, fail. Searched for 20 minutes and then searched a little more. Instructions returned to container. Thanks for bringing us here regardless.
All good until step 2, the place indicated didn’t hold the goods, checked in with PAF, still came up empty, even had help from ‘insiders’ who knew what we were looking for and helped try and locate the prize and no still show. Searched in additional areas than in the described spot, advice on the ground is that zone has recently been renovated, and key items have been moved around from one side to the other, maybe there has been an accidental cleanup?
Marking a DNF.

After a meeting in the city today detoured via the western suburbs to collect a few caches yet to be found. Finally cleaned up the area too.
I came to this one in 2019 to find it but unfortunately walked away empty handed, back today and with the new instructions to follow I went in and found the cache within a minute. I have found a few of these now across the country, a bit of fun.

The Prize has now been repaired and 1st waypoint back in position and ready to go.

Ok, so “The Prize” is now disabled after all. Sorry folks. I know you liked this one.
But it’s not for long.
But it’s not for long.
While the library has been undergoing renovations, this cache has been necessarily “off line” but will be back soon. It will not be disabled. Have no fear. This popular cache will be causing you to smile again in the near future ...
Thanks to some geo feedback, I have taken The Prize off line for a time. Maintenance will be needed for the first waypoint and due to renovations, instructions to the final destination will also have to change during this period of temporary relocation. Stay tuned folks.
Found signed and returned... but made the library staff a little grumpy. Have messaged co and am marking as needs maintenance.

Library staff are getting a little fed up and say the co needs to sort this cache out or will be removed.
I had a beautiful lunch at Henley Square with GeoDaughter, visiting from Sydney for just a short time, first time for a long time. We then walked out the jetty and saw some stingrays swimming in the shallows, perfect flat clear water today.
Wandering back we decided to try this 'time limited' cache I had not had a chance to attempt since starting caching. The previous logs looked like the find might be a problem. I started looking by the door while GeoDaughter read the sign. I kept looking and muttering under my breath, lots of cobwebs here. GD finished reading, wandered over to me and pretty much grabbed the initial stage. Great work, we have some instructions.
We followed these instructions to the letter and spent what felt like 20 minutes examining the GZ location. I decide on getting assistance, but none of the locals really knew much about it. We kept looking. I had pretty much given up when a different librarian approached me with some interesting news.
The library has moved from one hall to another. Not even the same room. All the books and shelves have been altered. The original instructions are very much 'out of date'. Upon being directed to the new location, there was The Prize, just as we expected it would be. Plain as day, easy to spot, just 2450 books away from where it was supposed to be.
For future finders, walk in the new door (different building, different door) and turn left. The Prize is in the first freestanding island. Good luck.
Thanks Contact Zero for the cache, at least we were out of the sun and in a quiet environment during the search.

This wasn't a DNF, more a CNA, Could Not Access.
Fence is still up. Think this should be disabled until fence is down and cache had been checked to ensure it's still available.

Went for a nice beach walk today with Bradaroo to introduce him to caching. We started with this one and after a little while of unsuccessful searching we asked one of the ladies inside. She was thrilled to help and once we had the instructions and tracked down the cache she came over to have a look herself. Very nicely constructed, thanks for the cache
Couldn't find the first cache. Looked everywhere. Hoping it's just me and it hasn't gone missing.
Have wanted to do this multi for quite some time but whenever I am in the area the library is not open, it seems to be a prerequisite that the two go hand in hand.
So today after the nearby Short Weak Coffee event I made sure to head here and find this one. Got the mint tin found outside (lid seems to have vanished but contents OK), I admit it did take a wee while to find it!
With the relevant instructions in hand and a couple of comments from recent logs (low) the cache was found quickly once inside. Had a chuckle at the book title, really liked the hide I think this is my favourite library hide yet.
TFTC Contact Zero another FP for this one.

Passing time in the area today and noticed this little multi nearby - one of my favourite types I could not resist. Waypoint easily found, and in a much smaller place than others I have been in it was super simple to follow the instructions (and yes, lower). As is my custom with these types, a favourite point to you for your effort and my enjoyment. Thanks Contact Zero!
Found it with a bit of help from the library staff! Very creative cache!!! One of my favourites! 1st waypoint suggests looking at head height but the cache has now been shifted lower. Good luck, and thanks!
Today EsromL and I headed down to Henley Beach for lunch and thought we’d call by this cache given that the library would be open.
We weren’t able to locate waypoint 1, which made things difficult. However we went inside and spoke to the library staff who were very helpful and gave us a hint as to the general area where we might find the cache.
Without the information from the waypoint we were at a bit of a disadvantage but eventually something caught my eye, which turned out to be the prize.
Thanks Contact Zero for the cache, and thanks also to the very helpful library staff!

Fluffymaxi and I found the first stage of this multi some time ago, I think it may have been on an Anzac Day after we had attended the Dawn Service and were doing community service with cub scouts by cleaning up after the breakfast in the hall. At that time the library was closed. Tonight we were back, once again assisting the RSL place the crosses in the garden ahead of Anzac Days. The library was open so we went back to stage 1, retrieved the clue and followed the instructions to find the cache.
We really enjoyed this multi. It is well worth the wait even if the second stage isn’t accessible if you visit at the wrong time.

Cache #1987. Second cache found today.
Christmas and New Year holiday! Today, we went to a Henley Beach Jetty. It was super windy, and there were so many visitors.
After that, we tried this cache as it was close by. Actually, I completed stage one of this cache, when I attended a nearby cache event two weeks ago, but the library was closed at that time. Today, luckily it's open. With the information on waypoint 1, we quickly found the shelf, but where is the cache? J spotted it first. Nice cache! Signed the log book, and put it back.
Thanks for the cache, Contact Zero. We love library caches!

came here about 2 and a bit years ago after hours to get wp1. Quick look before getting muggled out. It's taken that long to come back since the library was never open. Since i was in the area for the Summer Solstice Time = 08:51:42 CDT event, i thought i come and have a second try. Waiting for the library to open Davidwazza and jesswrigley arrived. That had found wp1 before. So when library opened we went in and looked around and jess put her hand on the cache. After went and found wp1 since the muggles guarding it had moved on. The lid on the mint tin is broken. fav point.
Completed the first stage of this cache, after attending a nearby cache event.
But the library will open after one hour. I have to leave it for next time.
But the library will open after one hour. I have to leave it for next time.
Found the initial clue quite a while ago after hours, and was finally in the area while the Library was open!
Jesswrigley and I had come to this area several months ago for a breakfast, and found the note at Waypoint 1. However it was a visit when the library was not open, and so we left this in waiting to the next time we would be around the area at a more convenient time.
Today following the Summer Solstice geocaching event, jesswrigley and I took the opportunity to have breakfast and wait for opening at 10:00 a.m. With a few minutes to go, we walked up to the entrance to discover sir_spectre in wait also. He hadn't found the initial waypoint clue, and so had a quick look around and thought it may have be missing. I showed the clue from my saved note in my phone, and so we proceeded to go into the building, and we were clearly Geocachers to the library staff who instantly recognised us as such for a group of people staring at their phone. We went to the right area, and one of the librarians looked over our shoulders to make sure the cache was still there. Yes it was, to look for the prize. Sure enough we found it, and it was awesomely constructed indeed. Signed and replaced. Favourite Point from me, thanks!

In Adelaide for some appointments and had time to tackle this great multi. Great fun .............. a favourite!!! Thanks Contact Zero for the hide!
The first time I came here it was out of hours. Today it took a short search to find the first waypoint then a few minutes to locate the cache. I've done a few of these type caches now but they are still all good to do. Favourite point from me. TFTC
After a second search and a POF I had The Prize in hand! This is the first of this kind We have found, my daughters being frequent borrowers from this library were concerned about the cache container and if the library knew. I explained they did and everyone was ok with it. Thanks for the clever hide! That was fun!
After two previous journeys to this location but being barred from reaching the final location, I was pleased I was able to take those extra steps this afternoon. Once at GZ, The Prize was located quickly.

After completing a nearby cache at the jetty, the group decided to walk to wp1.
So many places to search and we were coming up empty-handed [:0]
The slow trickle of muggles coming & going into the building added to our frustration
Eventually a spot was re-checked and the first cache was revealed [^]
We hadn't realised until nearing gz that the place was to close within ten minutes [:0]
Between a PAF and the cache instructions we thought we could find something.
The security guy tried to help us, but he had no idea what we looking for
Earthlight took the initiative and looked on the opposite shelf & found what we were looking for and just in time
As we were departing we asked the librarian if she knew where the cache was she replied of course I do

Well that was interesting...after a walk from the jetty with clare007, Mrs 3LG & earthlight we arrived at WP1...I would like to say we found it quickly but it took longer than it should have...didn't help that I had not felt properly in the first place...
Anyway following the instructions we arrived at GZ just before closing...
We searched for a short time before the dinging of the bell signalling closing time had us slightly panicked & then a short time later it was dinged again...
Ignoring the fact that we should have left the premises, one of the employees arrived...unfortunately he was one that had not heard of geocaching...he said he learnt something today...
Soon later Earthlight had her hand on "The Prize"...
A Very cool multi...
We were let out the door which had already been locked...we should have asked the other employee as she knew all about it...
Thanks for the fun cache Contact Zero

Found in the company of earthlight, hevwalker, clare007 & muggle Milly as we made our way to the nearby event
Having found a nearby trad at the jetty we decided to leave the cars parked and take the short walk to this multi.
That was possibly the simplest part
At GZ sat lock was off for WP1, hevwalker was out of "touch", although earthlight wasn't
After taking note of the instructions we go indoors... 9 minutes until close, this should be easy... yeah???
Nope... we searched, the bell rang... only minutes to go, getting anxious. PAF but still not much help, continue looking everywhere but the correct spot. The bell rings again... starting to think we will have to leave it for another day. A quick recheck & rethink of the clues & perhaps we can find "The Prize". The bell rings again... looks like security is coming over to ask us to leave, he tries to help and right as we are about to call it quits - BINGO!!! earthlight nabs "The Prize"
Now that was a bit of fun and earns a fav from me

The bell rings again... looks like security is coming over to ask us to leave, he tries to help and right as we are about to call it quits - BINGO!!! earthlight nabs "The Prize"
Now that was a bit of fun and earns a fav from me

Found on way to event. Group assault. Had to ask to keep doors open as about to close. Thanks for the prize. A fav point
We had an absolutely frustrating time with this one. Took us forever to find the first clue, and then took even longer to find the prize! I don't know what was happening with our brains while doing this one, but we got there in the end! Awesome hiding spot! TFTC!
Sometimes the harder you look the less you see. However once you see it you wonder how you didn't. Took some time locating 'The Clue' and much more time locating 'The Prize'. Doh! TFTC
No luck on WP1 - asked the librarian, but she couldn't provide any assistance, so could go no further.
Day Twenty one of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I are still at Semaphore in Adelaide. Deadly treadlies left in the garage today and into the geocar and around the suburbs for our caching.
A very strange looking structure for the memorial on the front of this building.
But our tale starts around the back.
We should have guessed this one as we have done similar ones before, but we didn't
Very nicely executed.
Thanks, Robmc.

#11954. Day 21 of our SA holiday. Another day off the bicycles and we decided to meander southwards to West Lakes and our turnaround point ended up being Henley Beach. I think we need to ride down to HB and back again one day soon. We were muggled out in quite a few areas by kayakers, sailers, fishermen and council workers - so annoying when that happens.
We have done one or two caches like this previously. Very nifty. In our case it would help if we knew our left from our right and which way to count - from left to right - or right to left. When we finally got to the right place I soon spied The Prize. There really was a prize too! I picked up the little geocoin that belongs to a Victorian geocacher that I know - SharkieFan! It is a small world and the coin has been sitting here for almost a year. Time to move along. Favourite point for the interesting cache.
Thanks Contact Zero

This one is a ripper! I love it and it easily earns a Favourite Point from me [^] Yesterday, 8 Dec. i went to the listed co-ords for this Multi and found the stage 1 container, not prompt i might add as the co-ords were a little off . Armed with the clue i went in and headed to the spot to get me 'The Prize'. Well, being the Doofus this Bird-Brain is i looked for something that might be a good Prize instead of the actual "Prize". The small bell was rang as it was 'Time' to exit the building at 17:00 (Closing Time). Dejected, i went and thought about what it was i was doing wrong. Went further North and grabbed me 6 Trad's to sort of compensate ha ha
That night i emailed a Cacher i met recently at an Event and she was very helpful by nudging me in the right direction [^]. After work today i rushed off on the bike to grab me the real "Prize" and not what i thought might be a Prize [:o)] It was found in about 2 minutes. "Wow, this is a classic!", i thought as i inspected the well constructed cache SL at 16:03 on Friday, 9 December, 2016 [^] (Fave Point attached) (Find #901) TFTC Contact Zero for a very cool MultiCache

Out for a drive along the coast on this lovely sunny winter day picking up a few stray caches along the way. [^]
Stopped off here as it was a good time to go and have a look. Found the first hidden cache and followed instruction and soon had The Prize in my hands. Sat down to sign the log, then replaced and continued on my drive.
Thanks for the cache Contact Zero...a beauty.

With a bit of free time before lectures, Owl decided to find a cache that had proved elusive because she was there at the wrong time. A quick refresher of the required information got her to the right location, but a well-entrenched muggle put Owl off her game. He first guess was incorrect, but she then had the prize in her sights and was able to take it away for a proper examination. Thanks for a well-constructed cache and a lot of fun. Borrow a favourite point!
We have been meaning to do this cache for such a long time! Geomum & geogirl located WP1 sometime last week after hours and took note of the information. This afternoon whilst out and about we called in at GZ, quite a few muggles about but had a good search anyway. Took advantage of a quiet spell and a nearby seat to read a few previous logs. A chance comment in the logs gave geomum an idea, and as I looked back there it was! A cool cache deserving of a favourite point from us!

Mr Tardis really enjoys this type of cache. I found WP1 after a short search, and then into the building. After a little bit of searching I located The Prize. A great cache and a favourite point for sure.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Contact Zero.

Dropped in here with Purrfect Di and Mrs Froghoppin for a bit of literary education.
Hints at WP1 assisted greatly with re-cataloguing, and The Prize was soon
located without even a reference to dewey! Nice little library by the sea.
Now, off to the beach....

I have been here a few times later last year, either closed or I couldnt find the first point. This time I was here for a computer course (so they had to be opened) and armed with a better idea where to find the start point I was determined to uncover a smiley face. Some kind cacher has updated the instructions in WP1 and it was a quick and amazing find. I had heard of this kind of hide, but other than a purpose built one hadnt come across a handmade version. Very impressive. To make the day more memorable, there was a shiny object amongst the log book which made my day. So, I will be back to place one of our shiny objects to replace it and hopefully start a trend. Thanks for the adventure and the smiley face.
Great puzzle and great final location, love these where others know about the GZ. Tftc and a fav from us
Interesting little multi.
We followed the instructions.
And found an interesting cache. TFTC

What a busy weekend! [^]
7 events attended and fun was had at all of them Dare I say, I ended up with a sore throat by Sunday night...and I have No Idea why[?]
2 puzzle caches were found, a multi that hadn't been found for about 10 months and 5 trads too made for a well rounded and great weekend! Sadly there was 1 DNF too but that WILL be rectified at some future point! Sadly, Brodie wasn't with muggle partner and I today as he would have enjoyed the doggy socialising down here but he'd had a huge day yesterday and needed a rest.
I love libraries, I love books and I love multis (well, usually )
A nice little multi although the WP coords seemed to be a bit out but then my GPSr is also playing up.
Found the necessary object about 11am then returned later and went inside and made the find.
While I'm up close and reading every title, the muggle partner is standing back and saying 'there's one there named.........' Oops, trust him to see it first and not the real geocacher!
It's a shame that this hasn't been found in about 10months! Hopefully it gets some more love quite soon!

Wow, it has been a long time between finds on this one. We had first tried this one the last time we lived in Adelaide a few years ago with no luck (back then we had either came by after hours, or had our Coords for the initial at the wrong side of the entrance way. No problems with the initial today however the final took a bit more work. The note now is mostly correct in that it will now get you to the right general area. When you are there however, turn around and face the other way and replace the word 'head' with 'bottom' and the prize should soon be in hand.
A well executed cache that is worthy of another fav point.

Found during a foray into the western suburbs. I'd located WP1 a couple of years ago, and passed by occasionally but the establishment was always closed. Re-found the clue today (knowing where to look), and located The Prize after widening my search to the opposite shelving. Did any of the friendly staff see me??? Don't think so, but then again I could be wrong! Thanks for the fun cache Contact Zero!
Found it with the librarians help finally. The first point is un discoverable cause the librarians said the layout has changed.
I ride past here frequently, but the facility is never open at 7 in the morning. As such I'd prefound WP1 some time ago.
Today it was a case of a quick grab (WP1), amble into the cool inner sanctum and search until The Prize was easily found. It would have been nice to sit and read in the cool but other pressing matters were crying out for attetntion.
Thanks for the cache Contact Zero.
