A morning caching around Levin. Lovely morning for a walk up here. Thanks paul303 for the cache.
A nice day for a walk. Great spot to stop for lunch. Straightforward find. Thanks for placing the cache
Thanks for the cache!
Sorry for the delay in logging. I’m in the process of finally logging all my old finds.

DNFed this back in 2017 and hadn't had a chance to come back up here since.
A nice walk up though it seems to take forever to get to the lookout!
A calm cloudy day, quite pleasant though a bit of a breeze would have been nice to keep things comfortable on the way up.
The cache was replaced by someone other than the CO and he decided to keep it that way as it was better than the one he was intending to use. Unfortunately this hasn't worked out well as a number of finders have had to empty out water and I had to do 4 the same. The provided pencil sharpener is quite rusty! As the container needs replacing filing a Needs Maintenance- using the standard Container is Damaged- not quite the case as it's intact but prone to water ingress.
TFTC.

Predicted rain this afternoon so headed out early for a walk in the reserve. Managed to find the 3 traditional caches but failed with the King of the Mountain. Good climb to the top. Not much of a view today but happy to collect a smiley. Cache and log all fine. Thanks.
Had only walked in this area once before (before I started geocaching) and that time we walked up to the trig but didn't come as far up as this lookout as the kids were little and not wanting to walk any further. It was a nice sunny day in Levin today and I was surprised with the number of people out walking and running, certainly a popular track. A good view from here. I managed to locate the cache quickly with nobody around at GZ when I was there. Tipped quite a lot of water out of the main container but the logsheet was still signable thanks to the waterproof paper. TFTC
Not quite "under the bank" but certainly under the most obvious hint object.
Cache half full of water but luckily the waterproof log is still fine to write in. Removed the old log which was just pulp.
Nice views today.

Great to get out on the ebike today before the rain ️ sets in
Still a view - thanks for bringing me here

Rode up here with Edvern for a day's riding and caching. Great views over the Horowhenua. Quick find; logbook was very wet, so added a waterproof logsheet to the cache.
Found on a MTB outing with Boogie-O and Mr E. Lots of pushing bikes uphill for those of us without an e-bike! A pleasant place to stop, rest and admire the views. We did some maintenance on this one. Thanks paul303.
Awesome reward for getting to the lookout! Cache and insides were VERY wet so I did my best to inscribe my name and date on the inside back cover of the notebook. Not sure if even this is visible, but I do have photo evidence if needed. (I'm a newbie and still coming to terms with the rules...) Thank you paul303!
Today was a great day for a ride in the hills and I've been intending to look for the Ki g of the Mountain puzzle for some time.
After successfully completing that task I decided to ride along the trail to a few other caches
Unfortunately I hadn't read the previous comment in the log before coming here, so didn't have any supplies to fix this sodden logbook.
However the sun was shining so I emptied out the water, dried the container and left the log to dry on the nearby memorial seat for about 20minutes
Finally I was able to make an impression in the log but it is still very wet.
I found some gladwrap lying in the area so have wrapped the cache in that to try and keep water out but it really needs double-bagging.
Thanks for the cache Paul303 Now off to the Trig!!

Found after a bit of a steep walk up the hill. Unfortunately there was a lot of water in the cache, so couldn't sign it. Emailed owner, so hopefully the container will get changed as it's at a great spot.
finally got time to go and fix this cache and found a previous cacher had left a better cache than what i was going to replace it with so left as was, thanks for that kind jestger all good to go.
Great walk while visiting from up north for first geocache. Found my new way to get fit!
Replaced this cache with my mum a few weeks ago as it had been missing for a while. Tftc
My daughter and I noticed this cache had been missing in action. We've placed another container in the same spot. Boxing day 2017 it was raining the cloud was low in the trees on the walk up. This spot usually has a fantastic view.
Following previous logs, I took photos of the berocca remains, and a nearby feature for proof; lovely views from this lookout, not a breath of wind today.
Took a while to get here, so was disappointing not to find the cache. Fear it may have been removed. There were a few bits of bark at the mouth of the hidey hole and the lid of a berrocca type container buried in the dirt in the hole.
On the 6th of June, TwigNZ and I had a look for this one. Quickly found what looked like a Berrocca tube wedged under the rock. The rock had recent signs of movement on it so we wondered if the cache had been wedged under the rock. Got confirmation from the owner of the cache that it is the cache and we were allowed to log as a found. TFTC
Didnt find this one today. Looked all around the obvious place and came up empty.
Originally posted as a DNF, but changed now (6th June) due to confirmation from the Owner
Came up with my boy (Newbiehunter78) looking for our 4th find of the day. Sadly for us we did not find the Cache as depicted in the Gallery Photos. We hunted all around the most obvious rock, and thought we had struck success when we found what appears to be a Berrocca tube. But it is completely wedged under the rock, and no amount of trying to prize it out worked for us. The rock shows signs of some recent movement (hard to believe due to its size!) so was wondering if perhaps the Cache has been buried? I have uploaded a photo of the Berrocca tube, in case that IS the Cache, in which case would appreciate knowing so we can change this DNF entry. We will return again at some stage in the near future to check again if we are barking up the wrong tree!

Nice easy find. Stunning lookout. Could not sign this as there was no room and paper was quite wet. Thanks for the cashe.
I had wanted to come up here for a long time but as my visits to Levin were usually for family reasons I just didn't have the time. As the family concerned are no longer in the area and I had the afternoon to spare after the events and doing the new caches I finally had the opportunity. I was impressed by the quality of the access route.
By the time I got to GZ I didn't have a lot of time before I needed to head back down to catch my bus home.
I looked in what seemed to be the appropriate place but all I found was some plastic rubbish which I removed but there was no sign of the mentioned covering material. Looked around but couldn't see anywhere else nearby which fitted the hint. Will put this on watch and plan for a more leisurely visit if the cache is still there.
Just to make things worse I realised I missed looking for another cache on the track up!
But a trip to an area like this is never wasted, unfortunately the view was a little hazy today but still worth a look though because of time spent trying to find the cache and the need to return not much of a chance to do the view justice today.
If the cache is there and I get to find it it definitely will deserve a favourite point.

TFTC, Great to find when out and about after having walked zig zagged up through the forest. Nice views from the top, but too windy and cold to linger at the nearby seat for a lunch stop. Cache all in good condition.
Went up the lookout track with StefTheVet in the early afternoon, enjoyed it very much, had wonderful weather and found the cache very quickly. We added a small piece of paper as the logbook is full. Then we sat down, had a short break and enjoyed the fantastic views. Very nice location TFTC!
#682 Nice to take in the lovely view from another perspective after visiting the trig further along. Made for good enough reason to get out for a run. Cache nice and dry inside. TFTC!
Great spot for a quick stop, had to keep moving though before it got too cool. Out for a run with Greenslime. TFTC.
#6303. A Sunday drive to Levin and made our way up the hill for a good hike. A number of walkers and cyclists were enjoying the day too. However, GZ was all quiet when we visited. Great views. The cache was a quick find, and in good condition. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache.
Third times a charm! I came up the mountain bike track this time, a much easier prospect for those intending this climb. Took about 30 mins. TFTC.
I set out from the Gladstone Road side of the hill and checked on my own new cache out there, before heading up via Tmann's Tui Bend cache, and had this one next in my sites… I made it as far as the track junction around 1km from this cache (nearly 2 hours of uphill), when my iPhone decided enough was enough, so I had to turn back and head back out to my van to recharge, then decided it would be better to attack it again from the Levin side, which I did… after climbing all the way to the TRIG cache first, I was just about to head along for this one again…when my damned iPhone decided to play the same game again….
As Arnie said… I'll Be Back!
As Arnie said… I'll Be Back!
Slightly overcast, no wind, and some really good views. A lot of people walking up here this morning, but surprisingly the cache is seldom visited. TFTC
Having completed nearby TRIG we carried on along the top, having earlier completed all the grunt walk. Some recent winds had snapped a pine tree about 1.5m above the ground however we were easily able to navigate our way around. Great views from GZ, we could here the distant sound from an emcee at some outdoor event, but weren't sure what it might have been. TFTC paul303, #7557, and another I'd been keen to get for some time.
Nice and easy find, been up there lots of times and had no idea it was there, TFTC
By the time we got to the look out the rain had stopped but it was rather misty so no view. Log was a bit damp but we managed to write in it OK. TFTC.
Went for a quick drive. Got to the lookout. Checked my phone and to my pleasant surprise was the cache. Quick easy find. TFTC

Beautiful day out today to visit an old MTB haunt of mine.
I use to come up here all the time but hadnt been for 5 or so years...until now that is.
Spectacular views ,no wind heaps sun.
Forgot how steep it was so pushed MTB more than in the past.
All worth it tho as the downhill back to car is just how I remembered it...FAST!!!!
I love it.
Thanks for bringing me back here.Been way to long my old friend.
From car to top ,to two caches, then back to car in less than an hour...not bad.
Smashed this one out of the park.

This one has been on my list of must-do caches for a while now. It was will worth the effort for the views offered. TFTC Paul
Found this cache on my hike today. Had my lunchbreak nearGZ and enjoed the great view. TFTC. Sherlock Hood.
Found on a day's caching in the region in perfect weather. Came on to here from the Trig cache, a 10-minute walk. Found cache instantly, walked straight to it. Signed log, TFTC!

Came over to this one after the Trig cache, another great spot with fantastic views. Lots of people out and about up here tonight, certainly looks like a popular hill. Jogging back down I managed to complete the loop back to the carpark in just on 1hr 15 mins. TFTC!
I ran most of the way up the hill to try and beat boxhill's 35 minutes. It was a bit steeper than I expected, so I didn't run all the way and it ended up taking about 27 minutes.
Great view.
Thanks.
Great view.
Thanks.
I was a bit apprehensive after reading the logs that I was going to walk up the hill for no reward. I needn’t have worried it was a quick find once at GZ, pleased to report the cache is safely tucked away and in good order. I have been meaning to do the two caches up here for a while now, finally got around to it today. Not sure I’d call myself super fit but I did the trip in 35 minutes from the carpark to the lookout. SL TFTC
well sorry i did not find tom tom found area the rocks and g p s spot not able to find was it on top or below in scrub
I enjoyed the walk to this cache on a warm day; particularly the part through the forest which was shaded. TFTC.
PROTIP: If there are 2 caches on top of a big hill... do them both at the same time!
I somehow failed to see this listing when I went for "TRIG" the previous day... oh well, gave me an excuse to go walking on Boxing Day... and as an added bonus I got to see a group of Mountain Bikers going over some of the crazy jumps!!

Did the cache up at the Trig and decided that since I was up here why NOT do the other one, no issues here as once you are on top of the ridge the walkway becomes a easier . Great views from up here on a great day. Thanks for bringing me here to this lovely walkway that I haven't done before. TFTC TNLNSL (1976)
Found with tmann421 and Hugo the dog after hike to the trig. Met a young Danish guy along the way - he and his family were over to see his brother who has been an exchange student in Levin. Had a great chat with him, then met the family at the lookout. Fast trip down! TFTC.
Very good track up to top of hill, good weather and no wind at all. Walked to site and soon found cache - opposite size to nearby cache. Excellent views today. SL TFTC

A straightforward find after TRIG, although as did others before us, we found the coordinates were 18 metres out. Our coordinates were S40 38 242 E175 21 178. The track was busy today and we passed several people both on the ascent and the descent. TFTC
We too thought what a good opportunity for a run. Quite a slog up. But so much fun coming down!!!
found the spot reasonably. TFTC

Fantastic views over Horowhenua, on a lovely evening. Picked up on a training run along with the cash on the Trig - TFTC
#394. FTF, yay! Second ftf today, glad we were up in Foxton for the fair this weekend. I can see why the mountain bikers would love this area, there are some pretty big jumps here. A hard slog up the hill and some breathtaking views at the top. GZ was about 20m out for me, but the hint made it very obvious where to find the cache. Thanks for the exercise and the views. TNLNSL, TFTC.
