Geocache is missing and I am no longer maintaining my caches.

15-Dec-13
No luck here... am pretty sure we got the right trees and numbers.

06-Sep-13
Solved this multicache from home. I had to guess a couple of parameters but they were good enough to allow me to find the cache at the first place I looked. Thanks for the cache, and the fresh logbook.

13-Aug-13
This spot has gone onto my 'I'm definately coming back here one day,' list - if for no other reason than to see the trees with their leaves on. Nice multi in a nice place.

30-Jun-13
We struggled with this one and needed some help from very good friends. Found all the trees and plaques easily, but found the interpretations difficult. The cache is in need of some TLC, it is very wet, but still usable. The container was soaking. Thanks, a lovely spot.

11-May-13
Struggled to one of the WP but got there in the end. A lovely Saturday for a road trip around the country. Thanks for the hide.

Escaped early for a days caching around Ashburton. I'm close to meeting the requirements for the bulk finding elective of the DGSc and needed to go somewhere with lots of unfound caches to get me over the line. Not having found any caches at all in or around Ashburton it was the perfect place to explore for the day. Enjoyed this spot. Knowing a little about trees (from my expert father), it didn't take long to track down the required info. Cache quickly spotted. TFTC and the pleasant stroll.

07-Feb-13
Got the co-ordinates for the final on the way to Kiwi Nomad's picnic, but did the final on the way home. (I'll give you a hint - there was a difference of opinion as to where to look in the middle). TFTC

18-Aug-12
With a bit of encouragement we found the little Rascal, thanks for bringing us to this lovely Park. TFTC

02-Aug-12
In NZ on a Working Holiday Visa from the US. Just finished a job in the area and have a week or so to check out the area. Decided to hit this Cache since I'm staying in the area. Noticed that it said it needs maintenance but noticed that people were still logging it so thought I would give it a go since I was in the mood for a bit of a challenge. Its amazing that all the Labels are still there (one in pieces) that are needed for this cache when so many others are damaged or missing! Thanks for the fun cache! Hopefully it can keep limping along!

22-Apr-12
Amazing, over a year that a maintenance note was posted and the bits and pieces are still around. Sad to see that something started some years ago and is now in need for some maintenance. Cache was an easy find, TFTC

08-Mar-12
We enjoyed searching for the appropriate trees in this interesting area, but note that a lot of the labels have been damaged by vandals, including that for Ginkgo biloba, although all the pieces are still there at present. The cache was a quick easy find in the obvious location. TFTC

07-Feb-12
Luckily the Ginkgo info although broken is still there. I enjoyed the wander round the trees this afternoon and couldn't help but feel a sigh of relief as I got close to GZ and could recognise the signs of a geocache hide. TFTC #2999

09-Jan-12
Had been here on a previous visit and done most of the hard work. Finished off reasonably quickly this morning.

14-Dec-11
It was a day to spend in Ashburton picking up a few caches.

This is going to be a great area with all the different trees once they have grown to full size.

Cheers for the cache.

Liebe Cachebesitzerin, lieber Cachebesitzer!

Dear cacheowner!

In the past I logged my founds together with team_BAFL (I found this cache on 03.12.2011 as my 1341. cache), but I hace my own account at geocaching.com since a few weeks and therefore I log all my past founds for this account. Thanks for your cooperation! At my first attempt there were some problems with the logs, thats why I deleted them.

@1700hrs

We found this cache, which is very close to our camping site. Will use the BBQ-area for our dinner now. Smile

Took a couple of visits to get all the answers (correct?) then our maths was wrong but with a bit of hunting we finally got there. TFTC

3900. A great place for an interesting multi. We really enjoyed finding out more about the trees and the final coordinates took us straight to the cache. We are planning to bring the family here sometime to enjoy this place with us.
Thanks
Iris & Rodney

The Holcomberogues from Devon England found it. Thanks very much for the fun.
Important to write down all info as some ambiguity as to which is first and second word but our first attempt got us to 20 metres of it but at a point we knew we couldn't go further; wherupon our geocachers eyes took over while I redid the co ords and we arrived together.

26-Sep-11
A nice challenge TFTC

24-Sep-11
Had problems with this a while ago as I couldn't get the first word and first name sorted. Got there today with a bit of inspiration

Happy to sign the log. TFTC

A great multi that had us scratching our heads and rubbing our extremities in the rain and cold wind. Glad to find the cache after having a few nervous moments with our specimen numbers. TFTC.

Having left the Mrs at the quilt store, it was time to knock this one off the list. Spent 20 minutes pushing the buggy round and round until all the info was found then sat down to work it out. First co-ords were 2km away so a quick rehash found a much more reasonable distance to walk so off we went to our success. And the train was running today too, bonus! Thanks for the wander around, it'll look good when they all grow a bit more.

09-Apr-11
A nice morning to visit. The trees are planted quite close considering how big they will.

22-Jan-11
Started this once before and collected all the co-ordinates but got to dark so came back this time to finish it. Our co-ords still a bit out but looked in the obvious places and found it. Wahoo, another one off our list.

27-Dec-10
The object that provides details of the Ginkgo biloba is broken, all pieces are there so cache can still be completed (danger is that it might be removed now that its in pieces).

27-Dec-10
Don't know what we did here but out maths was way off. Found all of the objects and did what we thought we were meant to, showed as being over 5km away, we knew the digit that was dodgy so just guessed it. Result was close to where I expected gz to be but not exactly. Ended up ignoring the GPS and and there it was.

As a side note, one of the required objects is broken in to three pieces, all three are there so questions could be solved but maybe the owner should pick an alternative one which is not broken incase the pieces are removed.

Very interesting. Took some time as I had made some mistakes. Beautiful area. TFTC

08-Nov-10
Hmm was interesting trying to work out what info we actually needed - especially on the small screen of the gps !!! eventually had it all sorted and headed to where we thought gz would be   - we assumed wrong lol   again lol !!! but soon adjusted and Stretch0 had cache in hand   - was a nice wander around a well kept park    sirgned log  thanks for the cache  Wink

08-Nov-10
Was in ths park doing another cache and decided while we were here we could pick this up. Missed one of the trees on first check around but soon had all the information. Co-ordinates headed us off to where we had suspected the final to be so off we went started checking and suddenly thought that we werent quite to GZ yet! Assumption had struck again. Soon corrected my search area nad cache was in hand. TFTC Smile

29-Oct-10
Collected all the clues but will have to go back to find the final cache as it was getting too dark to finish.

04-Oct-10
A cool wee cache, running around the field looking for trees with the family. Found the trees after a while, and was worried when I solved the clue to find that I had to go another 3.5 kms away, only to realise that I had done some creative maths. Found the cache without too much hassle. Found with DeadRockFlower, NanaBuck and 2 wee bucks. TFTC. TNLNSL.

02-Oct-10
Found with moneydork and rediguna

The instructions weren't exactly clear, but we managed to make it work and find the cache. Cheers Gav [6390]

Took a couple of goes to get this one right. TFTC

Good to get this one off the list, night time visit.

Thanks Bitsprayer

30-Jul-10
Good to find our calculated GZ was correct. TFTC

04-Jun-10
Found along with team Craighead on a frosty evening! Lovely area.

11-Apr-10
Working on it and will require checking the maths and what is "first word" and "first name"

09-Apr-10
Found on a visit from California with CA_Kiwis2.

09-Apr-10
Found it!!

09-Apr-10
Found this one while having a picnic at the domain. Must have worked out the coordinates wrong as lead us to a place on the golf course... but one of my young geocachers sniffed it out!
Thanks for bringing us here.

04-Apr-10
Nothing like the challenge of a local FTF to draw these underground cachers out for the woodwork. The area was new to one member of our team, so a big thanks for bringing us here today! Although our GPS was off, some deductive thinking had the cache safely in hand for the FTF.Big Grin

04-Apr-10
I thought my coordinates were wrong when I arrived at gz but decided to have a look and found it very quickly.
The trees were very interesting and I would not have known about them with out this cache.
Thanks for brining us to this part of the domain.
