Staying in Halls Gap, we decided to walk to The Pinnacles today .It was a harder walk than we expected and we were stonkered by the end of the day. I found this cache along the way, and left a TB for the next finder to move on.
Today, as went for the wonderful hike to the Pinnacle via the Venus Baths and the Splitter Falls, we also came along several traditional caches which we just couldn't leave unnoticed. This one was very easy to find and so was it logged successfully as well. TFTC - the Grampians are just beautiful!
Whilst out doing the Wonderland Loop, and starting at Halls Gap, popped up off the track to grab this one before too many muggles saw me. Up on the obvious nearby rock, i glimpsed down and saw the edge of it so quickly grabbed it, signed the log, and hid slightly better from view and was on my way up the hill. TFTC,
Found on a lovely hike, up to the pinnacle with the family. Beautiful area. TFTC
Today I was about walking the Pinnacle Hike and this was the first cache on this track. Thanks for the cache!
This area was one of the last parts naughtybunny and I had on our list for our Grampians road trip. So happy the weather was really good to us. We walked through the canyon and back up to where the cache was. Off we went behind the rock and after a little searching, we had it in our hands. What an amazing area full of surprises! TNLN. Cheers.
Found with Chookster whilst enjoying a short Grampians holiday. We had Wonderland on our "Must Do" list, but it depended a bit on the weather. Luckily for us, the weather was perfect. This place is AMAZING! Currently you can walk down to The Grand Canyon and along the paths, but a large rock fall means you can't get through to Cool Canyon. It's easy enough to turn around and walk back the other way to Cool Canyon and on to The Pinnacles using the other side of the loop. Well worth the effort!
This cache was a fun start to a pretty full on day, thanks for placing it for everyone's enjoyment.

Great start for our beautiful hike to the top.
Always scary to go in between the rocks and search between the bushes in Australia, especially when a ranger just told you to watch out for snakes! Luckily we found it without any complications.
Tftc!

How to start a hike? With a found geocache ofcourse!! Our daughter Hippie03 was the lucky one to retrieve the cache. We were a bit spooked by a ranger who told a group to be aware of snakes! TFTC
Day 20 of our Australia Tour 2023, which we spent in Grampians National Park. We hiked from Halls Gap to the Pinnacle and back. This cache was on the way.
Thanks!
Thanks!
A nice wander to here. Short search and cache was found. Left a few swaps.
Thanks billywillysillydilly for placing and maintaining for all to enjoy. The lid is cracked and fragile. Still dry its hidey hole.

On a scorching afternoon I decided to sneak off and collect a few smiley faces whilst the family is having a rest in the aircon.
Cache is in good condition and ready for it's next visitor:)
Thank you

Thank you
Bit of a scramble up the rocks - yet found fairly easily with yummy az eats. Would be a beautiful view if it wasn’t raining Tftc
Rocks were a bit wet and slippery to get to the cache, would have been easy on a fine day. TFTC.
Today we did a 7hr, 16.5km round walk from our accommodation to the Pinnacle. What a great day we had. Coordinates pretty good, about 1.5m from the tree. Very old and full logbook, signed some loose paper. Cache container has a cracked lid but dry inside. Tftc
Found the tree and found the disturbed rocks with no cache. Appears to have been removed
Thanks to billywillysillydilly for this hide. It was quiet in the car park this morning and a very quiet walk to GZ.
Great to be out enjoying a dry morning at last.

Found this cache on a walk up to the pinnacle. While the others kept walking up, I quickly jumped up on the rock for a better view, checked the hint and clambered down the other side and made the find. Log book is very full and I had to just sign a bit of paper inside. Lid is also cracked so a bit of TLC might be needed. Thanks for taking me to this spot.

Found on the 25th doing the hike for the pinnacle. So many great views. Made a pretty quick find. Tftc
The plan was to spend a few days in Ballarat, Halls Gap and then Portland. We had no intention of chasing every cache we drove past. Only the ones that piqued our interest made the list.
This was our first trip to the Grampians and we were simply amazed at the sights we saw.
Too much to see and do in 4 days so will have to make a plan to return.
Grabbed this cache whilst exploring this area.
Thanks BWSD for placing this.

Bingo! Stunning walk too! We are hiking the circuit anti clockwise which worked out to be a good choice. Love the splendid sandstone landscape and wildflowers which is so different from home-base. Plenty of people out enjoying the great outdoors. The cache is a wee bonus as I had not looked before we left and I should have saved it off line. TFTC and the FUN!
Omg the rocks are so slippery today! We all had a bit of a slide down the rocks. Thanks!

Did what we could of the Grand canyon as the stairs are closed due to engineering problems then did skillet falls. Man, those steps are full on. Great Falls though, had some rain last night but it's too early in the season for most of them to be running. Grabbed this one before heading back to camp. Haven't done the Pinnacles yet. Maybe tomorrow if the weather is bearable. What a time to get an arctic snap.
Found after walking from Halls Gap along towards Splitter Falls and doing all the caches along the way. Beautiful walk on a beautiful day!
Thanks, found after the walk from Spitter Falls, had some really big drops of rain and thought it was going to be a big downpour, but only lasted a minute. TFTC
